Dr. Cenquizca is a great professor who is excellent in breaking down the material. He is always willing to help his students and is very approachable. His grading curve is great. Those students who rated him poorly were probably those didn't do as well in the class because of their own lack of skill or knowledge in class.

Dr. Cenquizca is a great professor, even though he says "umm" a lot he is gives his lectures clearly and answers as many questions that you might have and he is always available during his office hours. If you want to get an A in this class you are going to have to pay a lot of attention to his lectures and record them. I had a good experience.

Go by the lectures. He tests you on functions structures, etc, & he provides the steps. Read the book only as guide to lectures. He summarizes, book over explains. He pretends he's tough, but he's not, he's very helpful, just ask him for it. He seems ****y, but only because he's confident, if I looked that great, I would be too :) I recommend him.

He is an extremely helpful professor. He is always willing to provide his students with assistance in class and will even go as far as to provide extra help in office hours to fully explain the concepts. His grading scale is very fair. I recommend this class. He is young so he keeps the class upbeat and lively. I strongly recommend him.

THE HARDEST TEACHER EVER!!! All exams are essay structure! You have to know everything, and I mean everything! But he's good, and you do learn a lot. If you study EVERYDAY for 5 hours, you can get an "A". If you take it easy, you won't even pass.

Cool teacher, easy going. Study ALL LECTURE NOTES, if you take good notes, if not - befriend one who does. Book only used for reference only. everything is memorization, but all anat classes are like that. If I can get an A, so can you! Don't be lazy!

This Professor refused to let me ADD to his class not because it was full but because "Biology is required" I've taken college bio and he asked me to go take it again when i had no problem understanding his lecture. He's also very Cynical and adds his politics into his lectures. Though he is very insightful, I felt very uncomfortable in his class.

Prof. Lee is easy to deal with. Very helpful and considerate, his LAB class is really easy. Listen attentively to his lecture, take down notes and memorize everything- guaranteed A in the quiz!

Pro: He covers the topic pretty thoroughly and his tests are super easy if you can memorize lists of things directly from the notes. Con: He spends alot of time pushing his alternative living agenda, which can cut into class time causing him to rush at the end of the class or go over. Slow test turnaround and his film essays are unrelated to anat.

ok the people complaining about this guy need to get a reality check, you guys are lazy he lectures in class and tests you on his lectures. does he go fast? not necessarily I come from UCLA he doesn't even go half the speed of what most professors do at any university level. He is easy, and this is anatomy so there is a lot of memorization involved

He expects the best out of his students. He may get off topic now and then, but he obvs respects everyone. Tests are hard (bring more than one pencil) and you have to know everything he ever said (but, duh, shouldn't you for every class?) Also, loved that he didn't make us cut up a kitty.

I can appreciate any professor who explains the subject matter with great simplicity and clarity. He is also very helpful in explaining complex material and he even breaks it down into simpler context. As a prospective nurse I truly appreciated his hollistic health and wellness approach. I took his class this summer. His exams are all essay exams. It sounds like tough. However, if you take good note, you even don't need to read a thick text book. All exams are exactly from his lecture. He makes the class easy and helpful. Plus, easy to get A, if you are deligent.

Dr. Lee Cenquizca is an amazing Professor and intellectual! He makes the class challenging and really engages his students. He prepares students for Anatomy in the real world. He is very critical in his analysis and extends his passion for Anatomy far beyond what other "teachers" are capable of doing or even willing. Great Professor!

Yes, instructor is always late, discusses his strong views on social and political issues, gives difficult essay format tests. BUT, I am very glad to be taking this class, and if I had a choice, I would definitely take him again. Fantastic learning experience, both about Anatomy and our world.

The essay tests can be difficult, and the instructor preaches radical views that extend beyond our Anatomy Class. But, he is genuinely interested in student success both in class, and in life from a holistic/naturalist approach. Not a teacher for everyone, but I would take him again anytime.

Anatomy is a really hard subject that requires a lot of studying. So study and his class should be really easy. Just have to memorize the lectures and labs. Tests are straightforward & he gives bonus points! He's usually late though overall he's a good teacher, very smart and articulate! He's also funny! You'll learn a lot from him. Recommended!

Great teacher. Take a recorder!!! I didn't the first class and missed a lot of the notes. He talks super fast! Also studying anything with lists. (IE examples of membrane types) They will be on the test. Tests are for the most part essay and diagrams. Great teacher though! You learn more than just Anatomy.

Best teacher! The only downside is that he comes late like 15 mins late the least! But so far he's really great and teaches well! You'll surely learn more than Anatomy. He's funny and cares about his students as well. I'm glad I took Anatomy with him! I'd definitely recommend him! Just do your notes and memorize them. Bring a recorder too!

Of course this class is not easy, it's human anatomy! But everything is straight forward, no surprises on the exams. Take good notes, study hard, and be able to recite your notes almost word for word and you will do well. It's all about memorization. He's got a sense of humor and is handsome. Often political and very health conscious.

Great instructor! I took this during Winter session 5 weeks which is best because there is no dissection of a cat (less things to remember). I'm a CSULB student and I noticed students at the city college level tend to blame the instructor for their failure, which is wrong. You have to put the time and effort in to pass this class.

Really good instructor. He may be late, but why not use the time while waiting for him, to study and go over info. Complaining gets u no where. He's an advocate about politics and nature, and the info given is highly valuable. I got a little extra from his class besides just learning about anatomy. FYI, I plan to keep in touch w/ him.

Liked this professor but class was hard! Pros: He makes Anatomy interesting and keeps it moving at a fast pace. Cons: Difficult tests and you'll work hard for that "A". This is a good class for people who really hate Anatomy but have to take it for their field of study. It helps to videotape or photograph the labs, and record the lectures.

Whether or not you agree with him, you'll learn about politics, business, environment, and yes, PLENTY OF ANATOMY. Expect him to be late to all his classes :) and in-person is the best way to get his help.

I failed according to the point system of the class but I know that I learned a lot. The guy is amazing and makes you take a look at yourself which is something that is extremely important to me and to the times we are living in. I am going to take his class again. Study, study, study, and you should be fine. I just have to remember that.

I have to say that Dr. Cenquizca is the hardest prof at LACC. His exams are so hard because they're consist of essay questions, but U learn so much from him. I took this class during the winter session and to say it was a lot of work is an understatement. Can you say, No Life to Pass. What I wish I had known before I took the class which is now my tip to you, everyday, go home and study what he covered in class for that day. If you grasp the information as he goes along, you will be okay.

He's definitely a knowledgeable teacher. Like many professor's, he's got an ego. Doesn't like discussion, he only talks down to everyone. Try not to challenge his beliefs in conspiracy theories, or disagree with him at all, or he'll get mad. Study lists and diagrams real hard, for at least 5 hours a day a few days before exams and you'll do fine.

Don't take him..... unless you are serious about your education. Dr C. is by far a very knowledgeable person. I enjoyed every single of his lectures, and it wants easy to pass his class, but I did. After to study my ass off, I earned an A, and by the time I took Physiology, I was by far well prepared.

His class is not easy to get good grade if you don't study like college student. I studied hard to get my grade, but it could be simple to pass his class. If you record the lecture and study it 1-2 hours, you will be OK like any other classes. I learned many form him. Use office hours.

This is the toughest class I have ever had. The exams are very difficult (open-ended questions) so STUDY HARD! You MUST attend his lectures to succeed (just reading the textbook WILL NOT help). Outside of lecture material, I learned so many things that will improve my health and life. He's extremely intelligent and has amazing advice.

Took Mr. Cenquizca last fall for Anatomy 1. He is outgoing and funny, and he's also a naturalist. He's a tough grader, yes, but if you study his lectures you will be fine. Studied my ass off for this course and got an A. One advice: Be committed to studying this class. That's all you need to do to pass!

Professor Cenquizca is a wonderful teacher. The class was VERY challenging (I've never worked harder for an A in my life) but the pride I feel from it is huge. Just stay on top of the studying from the beginning, there's no short cut to it, and you'll be fine. And yes he's chronically late and can go on tangents, but this was an inspiring class!

He will not give you access to the power points, you have to read the material in order to pass and get the grade you want! His tests are not multiple choice, they are free response and it includes images you have to label. Lab exams are the same. study hard. Good luck!

Tips: RECORD his lectures. Take good notes because his exams are all WRITTEN and derived from his lectures. Study 2 weeks in advance for his exams. During FINALS he sends you a long study guide to go over it all in less than two weeks. Be prepared to memorize LOTS. He gives you LOTS of extra credit points so make sure to take advantage of all.

Lectures are incredible: you learn so much about world issues and how it affects you directly. He can ramble on and time can pass by so fast, leaving you up to study at home for both lecture and lab. Labs are pretty easy, just know your bones, nerves, etc. Lecture tests are not multiple choice: you have to write down your answers.

Tests are short response. Homework isnt correlated to anatomy class. Not accessible through email in person hes available. To pass you have to make your own notes read understand and filling gaps for your own good. He is a good person, caring, different (good different). I realized this after the semester ended. Hes fair in so many levels

This guy is so funny, upbeat, and very unconventional. He's into natural medicine stuff, which I think is interesting. He knows his stuff well, but his lectures are heavy with material and have no slides. Get ready to take notes and record audio. Tests are short answer, not multiple choice, and test your knowledge on every detail of the lectures.

if you need this class for RN or other sciences career. I strongly recommend taking this class. Dr. Cenquila is professional, friendly, accessible for any question. anyway, you have one week if you don't like his class you change it but I really recommend to take his class. This class will prepare you for your career and your personal life.

His practicums are easy its just memorization. Ask him after class to review them for you, record and literally just rewatch the video over and over. Didnt do good in lecture but passed every practical with an A. I would take his class again cause I think hes too lazy to change exams and I know who what to expect. Hes very funny & down to earth.

Dr. Lee's class is not an easy class, but if you come to class each time and take notes on what he lectures on, you can do well on his exams. He only tests on what he goes over in class. Lab practicums are just memorizing what the professor goes over in lab. It helps to take a video when he is going over all the structures at the end of class.

Dr. Cenquizca is an extreme naturalist. To me, it made sense that an anat prof would find all foreign & unnatural influences to the body as a neg thing. RECORD HIS LECTURES. Memorize them and you'll ace his exams. He goes off on a lot of naturalist tangents. Humor him and pay attention. He means well. The last few weeks will be rushed.

This class is not an easy class. Requires a lot of memorization since you are learning a NEW language to use in a medical setting. I passed even if he ranted about non-related things. Take good notes and make sure to pay attention this professor knows a lot of great information on the human body.

Lectures are interesting and enjoyable. He's willing to stay extra after class if you have questions but other than that he's not really reachable by email. He'll help you pass the class by giving you opportunities to study the models and clear up any questions you have. But you have to study, go to lecture, understand the diagrams from the book.

But let me tell you this, you can do it if you put dedication into it. ask questions. dont google, his there for you. ask questions till u get it. dont just memorize, understand. he explains to you step1 to step10, there is reason for it. if he explains 1to100,200, know it all. you chose this remember

Honestly, the most difficult class I have ever taken in my life. So many terms and so much info! He's a cool professor, likeable but does tend to go off topic frequently. But I found what he talked about to be interesting and insightful, in general. He's tough teacher but he does care for his students. 100% of grade based on midterms/finals.

The grade is based solely on exams no extra credit, no textbook, no lecture slides. You have to attend class and study based on your own note. The professor really explains everything from 0 to 100. It might feel boring at times, but it was incredibly helpful, and it's been a great foundation for the physiology course I'm currently taking.

He's very thorough with the material and passionate about anatomy/ health, with a sense of humor on top. I'm very grateful for Dr. Cenquizca. He should be proud to know I went to nursing school and then NP school, thanks to the foundation I got from his class. Any one of you would be blessed to take his class.
