Mr. Jones is one of my favorite teachers! He involves the class in every one of his lectures. He makes the subject matter enjoyable. He values each student and their participation in his class. He is absolutely wonderful!!!

Very interesting class. He gives quizzes on the reading, but they help to bring your grade up. He gives you extra credit and two field trips. Take his class.

One of the best teachers I've ever had! Manages to handle what might be controversial material is a professional and fair manner. Very knowledgeable and excited about his subject material.

I took the online class. Can't rate his clarity because he didn't teach. We just read and watched videos. Unless you have a photographic memory, you will not do well. There's a ton of material for a 25 question test. The study guide will only cover about 10 questions then your on your own. Offers xtra credit which will help you to at least pass.

I took him online and If you read and follow the study guide you will pass. Make sure to read and take notes, this class is no joke. If you think this will be cake, don't take him. I got an easy "A", but I studied hard. Be crative on you AE reprots because he likes creativity. So be as creative and colorful as you can and you will get an "A"

Top notch teacher. Class is easy and very illuminating. You really learn, and its fun. He is very open to discussions and the opinions of others. One of the best teachers at GPC.

Great teacher. I took the class online, but I had to visit two places (museums, symphonies, etc.) to write my reports and another for extra credit. I did not like having to go on campus for the exams, but the class was still worth the experience.

I took this course online this Summer. Professor Jones is an interesting professor. He is great about corresponding via e-mail, and he is helpful if you should have any questions. We had 5 essays to write throughout the semester; with loads of reading! He grades pretty tough on his essays, so hone up those writing skills! Enjoy the coures; I did!

If you do the work, you will do well in his class. You have to keep up. He gives good advice when you ask.

Mr. Jones is pretty cool. I'm taking ENGL 1102 online. The reading material was interesting and he likes to get involved in class discussions. The class isn't that hard--But you don't have very many grades throughout the semester. He will let you revise essays for a better grade though. He is helpful when you email him.

he was the most difficult teacher to figure out. the grading was horrible. i did a practice regents essay and got a B. When I asked him why... he told me I did the best I could??? towards the end of the semester, he ligthened up on his grading and I came out with an A. I would recommend this teacher if your writing skills are already great.

I had him for English 1102 and really loved the way he taught. He's very clear on direction and gives you all of your assignments at the beginning of the semester so that you can work at your own pace. Very helpful as well. He is very quick to answer emails and give you tips on how to write essays. I made an A in the class and really loved it.

TAKE HIM! He is hands down the best professor I've ever had! He completely understands LIFE and asks amazing questions on discussions.The essays are actually about things you know about from the reading. Yes, you need the books and can't pass without them. He gives tons of extra credit too. Not 1 -, all +! I told you they they were good Professor!

I am taking Mr. Lee Class online. So far it is fun. Just a lot of reading and answering questions. You should enjoy it very much. I can't wait to take the next english class that he teachers. I am taking 1102 eng.

Overall he's a great teacher, I'm currently taking his Humanities online. However, if you're not disciplined then I advise you to take this class on campus, because he explains every assignment on the syllabus, but it's your responsiblity to have to discussions/quizzes/test done before the end of the semester or you will fail.

Worst class of my life, caused a lot of stress. Partly my fault because I am not very interested in the subject. With that said, he is a very nice guy and passionate about his course. But if your looking for an easy A or B or C, don't take this!

Everything you need to succeed is available from the get go. You're expected to write papers citing sources often and correctly. 2 essays, 1 research paper, 2 exam essays. You also post reading responses on the iCollege discussion board. You must be self-motivated to succeed this class, but Jones has reasonable expectations. Recommended.

All work is assigned at the beginning of class. He does not provide any teaching materials, per se, just assigend discussion questions that he comments on. Good course for self-starter.

1st, this is definitely an English class. 2nd, Mr. Jones expects you to know how to compose an essay. Other than that, his class is great for someone who is self-motivated. I enjoyed his selections for the class and would recommend him.

Good teacher must do all work allows you to work at your own pace however make sure you get your work done before the end of the class. wish I could have taken his class versus online, I think I would have learned a lot more.

Okay I took his online class and overall he is a cool guy, helpful, and clear in what is expected. Its great because you can work ahead however if you aren't great in the writing area especially with knowing all grammar rules, stay away. Four papers, and discussions is all you have to contribute to your grade.

He is a great instructor. Very easy as long as you know how to write a decent essay. I will say that I think he grades too much based on punctuation for a college course based on your understanding of literature. (obviously I need to work on commas!). Course is very comprehensible and he is lenient on discussions and timed papers. Very helpful!

Took this via online. Be prepared to work and you will do great. Instructions and expectations were very clear. Take good notes on the chapters and you will do great on the quizzes and tests. Vocab heavy. Aesthetic encounters were more fun that I thought they would be. Would recommend this teacher to people who aren't afraid to put in effort

Easy! I took his class online this semester. We had to read alot but he gave us plenty of time to complete it. He asks for a certain # of discussion posts, mid point and at the end, which is very easy to do! Essays are not long and are easy if your good at spitting out papers. Due dates are not an issue. I HIGHLY recommend this class for ONLINE!

Mr Jones was a great teacher, an the class was veeery easy. There is no reason for anyone to not get an A in this class. If you do the discussion questions, quizzes, encounters, and test you will be fine. You will have ample time to complete the assignments.

Mr. jones is a great teacher. Very flexible, and chooses very interesting material to read. I am usually NOT into literature, but the selections he chose peaked my interest alot, so I will be reading more in these books later. Prof Jones is a wonderful teacher. She chooses very interesting topics to read, but sometimes, they can be a bit long. Took her online class, and it was wonderful! I know I could have done much better, but I took on the daunting task of working Full time and bein in school full time, for the 1st time ever. Just read, do ur papers, GRAMMAR CHECK

Took his Brit Lit class online. The discussion were easy. I made A's on all my essays, but am a natural writer. Takes a while to grade & respond to emails. Waits til last minute to assign essays, except for research assignment. Recommend if you like to write.

Dr. Lee Jones is a laidback professor who lets you work at your own pace (online course). You will be doing a lot of reading and you will have some major essays to turn it. He grades fairly but make sure you proofread. He is very helpful as long as you reach out for help. This is the second class I've taken from him.

It was a pretty easy class. A few essays and readings that you can do at your own pace. The professor chooses pretty interesting reading assignments. Just make sure you particpate in the discussions. He grades very matter-of-factly so if you get an 89.9 on your final grade, you won't get that boost to 90.

I took this class online. Professor Jones was straight forward. Not hard, as long as you do assignment in timely manner. Work was at own pace. And he graded fair. He responds on time also.

Overall I really enjoyed this class. I love English and have always done well in it. Professor Jones is a hard grader, I always did very well on papers, but I generally made B's in this class. He grades hard in the grammar and punctuation area. The material is interesting, directions clear, and deadlines doable.

I took this as an accelerated online class. I wrote 5 papers, you can work at your own pace for discussion materials, the final is the last paper you write. Prof. Jones is a hard grader in punctuation and grammar. I have always done very well on papers, but I generally made B's during this course. It's helpful though.

I took the class online. Grading was based off of two topical essays, a midterm essay, a final exam essay, a research essay, and participation. Overall, he grades harshest on grammar and punctuation but puts more importance in the content of the essay. You can work at your own pace and he is very laid back with assignment deadlines. Professor Jones is a tough grader and prioritizes grammar/punctuation in your essays. He always assigns very good literature to read. I came into this class wanting to become a better/stronger writer and his class does just that. His grading is fair and he is very prompt about responding back to your emails/messages. I highly recommend his class!

This was the second time I took Professor Jones. I always know that if I got an A on my essay then I really deserved it. This time, in British Literature, you read a lot of great works and write about five essays throughout the course. If you love British literature and writing, you must take him. He is always on top of grading and knows his stuff.

Mr. Jones is a fair teacher who gives you the grade you deserve. He promptly responds to emails while the semester is in session. If you need help he will highlight where you are going wrong as well as what you are doing right. Don't expect to get a grade you did not earn. I enjoyed his Lit 2 class. My writing has improved because I wanted an A.

Professor Jones is a very tough grader and makes you work for your grade. Beware that he is very strict with his grading rubric but it only makes you do better on the next paper. Be prepared to do a lot of writing. I was very happy with the class, the material, and with him as a Professor. I would highly recommend taking his class.

I took this as on online half semester class. He gave 3 test, 11 quizzes, 2 papers and 50 discussion post. It sounds like a lot of work, but it is very doable. He responds to emails quickly and you are given very clear instructions for all assignments. He also gives you the entire semester to complete most of the work. Great for a working student.

One of my favorite classes at GPC. He is very clear and gives great feedback when grading. It is a work at your own pace class, so make sure not to fall behind. I would take him over again if this wasn't my last semester. Loved this class!

This was my first Honors class I've taken and it was easier than any other ENGL class I've taken. 4 essays to write plus one for the final, and 50 total discussion posts for the semester. Easy to do. Jones gives great feedback and is a fair grader. I'm NOT a writer but I made great grades on all essays.

Mr. Jones tries really hard to help students succeed. I received prompt and helpful feedback on my papers, which were directly related to the topics. He's a very good teacher and asks really good questions on the discussions boards.

Professor Jones was great. I took his Honor's English class. Entire class is graded on 5 papers, only 1 was on the longer side. Great feedback, doesn't murder your grade. NO FINAL! Very accessible outside of class when needed. Will definitely look for him in any other English classes!

Good class, good teacher.. BUT YOU DO NOT NEED THE BOOK. Save yourself some money, you can mind all the materials faster online than you can the book.

I took the summer semester online class. The papers were pretty straightforward, but I had trouble with the lack of clarity in some cases. Maybe my 1101 teacher was just a fast grader but I felt like I was waiting a long time for my results. Would still take this prof again though because there were no major issues.

Very quick to respond to emails. Active on the discussion boards, and gives good feedback on essays. Would re-take without hesitation.

GREAT PROFESSOR!!!!!!!! I TOOK HIS CLASS FOR ENG 1102 AND MY GRADE WAS B. I ALSO TOOK HIS CLASS FOR ENG 2130 AND MY GRADE WAS A. I LOVE HOW HE PROVIDES EXTRA CREDIT AND THE FACT THAT THERE WAS A TOTAL OF 4 PAPERS DUE. HE IS AN EXCELLENT PROFESSOR FOR ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are no tests or quizzes, just 4 essays and discussion questions. You must post 50 discussion posts by the end of the semester which is excessive in my opinion. Each essay was 500 words except one had to be 5 pages. Overall if you go by the prompts you will get an A, it will just take a lot of work.

Dr. Jones was extremely accessible patient with us online students, even during times when he definitely had no reason to be. I appreciate his kindness; I just regret not getting to listen to more of his lectures/lessons because they were really enjoyable (he had to leave halfway through through due to a health concern). Thanks Dr. Jones!

For my humanities class, all we had to do was 50 discussion posts throughout the entire semester. We had 2 reports and 3 very easy exams if you read the textbook. Dr. Jones was always responsive to my emails too.

Dr. Jones is kind and a fair grader. There's not a lot of instruction, but he's responsive on the discussion boards and usually quick to respond if you have a question. There are a lot of discussion posts due (50 total), but they rack up quickly if you respond to his follow-up questions and classmates. You do NOT need the textbook!

Professor Jones is great. He requires a lot of reading and discussions online, but he's very clear on expectations. His feedback on the essays are valuable and he offered some opportunities to revise. But he doesn't skimp on the expectations, he grades the papers tough so be ready to know the material/work. He's also accessible and understanding.

Most of the work involved are discussions in which you need 25 discussion posts by the midpoint and 50 discussion posts by the end of the semester. He provides clear guidelines on when he wants essays completed (four in total), he would even extend them if necessary. He always gives great feedback and I feel he helped me do better in writing.

Prof. Jones was such a gem to his students. The grading was super straightforward. Most of the work is dominated by discussion boards, which you must meet 25 by midpoint and 50 by end of semester. 3 noncumulative exams come straight from the textbook and discussion board questions. Take him if you need a humanities or English course

3 topical essays and 1 research essay. Most essays are less than 1000 words. 25 discussion posts by the midpoint and 50 by the end of the semester, where you can answer questions based on the text, but you can really just say anything, and he occasionally will interact with you. He gave extensions on essays if you just ask and he is understanding.

Excellent Professor. Clear grading criteria and is a tough grader when it comes to Grammar. This only pushes the student to get better at it. Will give a chance to revise and resubmit papers. Is extremely flexible if you contact him for additional time. Gives reasonable time to submit discussion posts. Would Recommend!

Took Online English 2130. 4 essays and 50 discussion posts not the worst. Not a hard grader. A good choice, nice and respectable teacher.

There are 3 essays, a research paper, and 50 discussion posts. The posts aren't hard since most of them are about poems, so as long as you post and reply to each, you should be fine. He grades easy on the essays. As long as you meet the requirements you should get an A. He responds to emails pretty fast and helps you out with your research topic.

This guy is actually the GOAT. I love the emphasis on discussion posts and the varied formats for each essay (research, novel review, etc). He is always reachable and willing to give feedback/guidance. Literally just follow directions in the class (very straightforward) and you will be fine. Seriously love this guy.

Great professor! Super understanding if you're struggling with any deadlines and open to creative ideas. Gave amazing feedback and graded really nicely. Anytime I needed to contacted him, he responded super quickly and we had really engaging discussions about class topics.

Dr. Jones is a great teacher. He is clear on his assignments and gives great feedback on the essays. He sends multiple reminders type annoncents in iCollege. Only 4 main essays and the participation grade on the posts, that's all there is for grading. Very easy class.
