I was worried about public speaking but professor Moore made it much easier for me as a speaker.

Professor Lee Porscha Moore did a great job during this new online learning. Just stay up on your assignments and you will pass her class. She is very funny and caring and all around is respectable to all her students. She also gives great feed back for public speaking.

The class is pretty easy. As long as you do the assignments you will pass.

Made the best out of our on line speech class. I wish I had a chance to take this class in person. She was very responsive to emails and clear on assignments. Had a great time in class even though the were all zoom sessions.

For my first speech class ever Dr. Lee Moore provided great insight and inspiration. She took the daunting fear out of public speaking and simply made it comfortable for me to overcome it. If she realized that you had a weak point she spoke with you about it and gave you open and honest feedback on how to overcome it and move forward in power.

This class was difficult only because I don't like making public speeches in general. It was difficult, but she made the best of the circumstances.

At the beginning of the year she did not let me make up points because I forgot to respond to other peers for a assignment but in the end its good that shes tough on us because this teaches us very valuable lessons for life overall I adore the way she presents herself shes a very strong Woman.

Shes a great teacher but does not settle for any nonsense if you do the work you get the grade you want if you slack off so then you dont!

Dr. Porscha has a solid class. Grades were based on weekly assignments, quizzes and a few speeches assigned throughout the course. Zoom meetings were on the day of the Speech due dates. Dr. Porscha gives good feedback after your speech and doesn't sound condescending with her advice to better your speeches.

easy to understand the assignments every thing is in the modules. Attendance is mandatory for speech day that is once a month. During class on zoom participation is required. Dr. Porscha is very understanding and will communicate outside of class.

Professor Moore is a great instructor, especially helpful. She was always fast to respond, and she had structured the class to be very easy! The one thing I defiently have to say is that since class is structured to be the best around the student, there really isn't any excuse to do bad in this class! I would defiantly take another course with her!

Professor Lee Moore is one of the best speech teachers I've had. She cares about you but also won't let you get away with putting no effort. She makes sure you understand assignments and work for your grade. Attendance was required in her class, but she wasn't too strict with it. Very understanding and fun!

Dr. Lee Porsche Moore is by far one of my favorite teachers. Not only does she push you to do better but I believe she brings out the best in her students. She doesnt sugar coat anything she tells it how it is. She allows you to do drop in meetings to give you an opportunity to fix your work before a major assignment is due. The class is self pace

I took her 4 week long summer class and even though we had to pack so much work into such a short period of time, it was really easy to stay on top of things. She assigns a doable amount of work for each week and gives really good feedback on what you turn in.

Dr. Porscha Lee Moore in a excellent professor. She is very patient when students don't fully understand assignments. She is always reaching out to make sure students don't get lost with coursework and dont have questions.

There's a lot of homework in this class. It's not hard but there is a lot of it.

For our online work (E-TB& TopHat) ask to be double-checked by the professor. Improv speeches will happen towards the end of the quarter, so participation/preparation is crucial when picking random students. Speeches were fun, we went over funny and controversial topics. Group assignments often, but ask for group change if you can't reach members

The class in itself wasn't really hard, the speeches were fun and you were able to pick whatever topic you wanted and write about. This class does have a lot of group work thought so keep that in mind, alongside one group speech as well. But when the professor does change groups if people aren't working or communicating, which I really liked!

Dr. Porscha is a tough but fair professor. The main thing I can say is that you need to pay attention and show up for class and be prepared to generate speeches. I feel that I speak better after taking her class.

She is super calm and considerate that students have home lives and sometimes things happen. She is very understanding and wants to help everyone get a good grade. Be aware that her Saturday class actually ends at 10AM but you are not done until the latest 1PM. She is overall a great professor.

This professor is very easy, she is very clear on instructions and what is expected to be done. She is very helpful and will answer any questions.

This class was a half-semester class so it moved fast. However, the directions for the speeches were vague. I would highly recommend that you go into her office hours to get help because she will help. But the speeches are graded pretty toughly. There is group work every week and textbook work that is pretty easy.

Prof. didn't require a whole ton of homework. I mostly only did homework one day out of the week and just practiced for any presentations we had. I feel like the only thing that was a lot was the work group assignments that we would have every week, but overall if you are on your work and don't procrastinate this class with be really easy.

I had to drop though so I wouldn't receive a W because of other classes I was taking in the summer couldn't handle the load but, taking her in fall and excited to learn from her.

If you're having trouble, just make sure to reach out and she'll help. There was a lot of work to do, it was a very intensive class, but of course I also took a 4-week summer class so that's to be expected. She does speak quickly so it's hard to keep up, but everything is in the textbook. Always go to class because there are impromptu speeches.

I took it late start and the class had a lot of assignments per week and about one per day. Lots of group work and meetings that you need to figure schedules out. Everything is very clear in what is expected and rubrics are given for each speech so you know what the professor will grade based on.

This class is different for all people, since public speaking is such a broad subject. If you are afraid of public speaking this class will help and ease your way into it. Dr. Porscha does not throw you into the deep end of the pool but takes things slow. Be prepared for a lot of group work.

Overall Dr. Porscha was easy to get ahold of and responded in a timely manner. Some instructions were unclear because it seemed that they were copied from another assignment. Discussion posting is a bit different than other classes I've taken, but the instructions made clear expectations. I recommend this class.

I took this class in the summer of 2023. Even though there was a lot of homework, I was still gaining knowledge of my communication skills. There is a lot of homework such as group work, different speeches, and outlines for the speeches. She was a great teacher for this course, make sure you communicate with her when you need help.

I took an accelerated, summer course so there were a lot of assignments back to back! In class she helped ease any tension with humor and I felt she helped make me feel more comfortable. I am not a fan of public speaking, however I feel more confident after taking this course. Getting in contact with her was a little challenging at times.

Professor Moore has a welcoming a fun vibe when experiencing class in person! There was a heavy workload with a short amount of time to complete it since I was enrolled in a summer course, but she was pretty lenient with the grades. As long as you followed the guidelines and completed assignments on time, you will be fine and able to pass the class

This instructor was very easy to talk and the class was overall great despite having a lot of homework that was due one day after the other.

Dr. Porsha is a pretty cool teacher, she is a tough grader. We used the TopHat program and the assignments there were due almost at the end of the semester. I did find this class helpful in terms of speaking in front of a bigger audience. She does grade things a little later than anticipated but she gave everyone in the class extra points for it.

Good teacher, takes a while to grade assignments and has a lot of details for discussions, but other than that this was a good class. She incorporates a lot of speech practice for speeches early on which forces us to prepare and not procrastinate on the speech.

Professor Moore is a good teacher. The only complaint I could make is that she takes her time to update grades. It's not a big deal since the biggest assignments (the speeches) she grades in real time and also provides feedback. Just do the work and you'll get a passing grade. Put a bit of effort in and you'll surely get an A or B

Good professor, I would say that this class is relatively easy if you're able to stay on top of assignments. I would just say that she doesn't grade things quickly. However, there are a good amount of speeches presented in class and she does a good job of making that process less uncomfortable.

Professor Moore is a very laid back person she carries out all lectures in a very interactive manner. She is also very understanding when it comes to extensions you just need to ask in advance! There are many small assignments throughout the semester but they aren't hard to complete as we have weeks where we don't have class.

This class was hybrid so the assignments were online and were pretty easy and she gave us a lot of time to complete. I recommend taking this class.

Unfortunately there is a lot of group work which is frustrating when all members don't participate and you're graded as a whole. If I would have to take this course again I would do it in the fall or spring rather than this summer because you have more time I would assume in between due dates of assignments which would make it easier to collaborate

Overall she is a decent teacher; however, there's a lot of homework and group assignments. I did take a summer course so it there wasn't enough time to plan with your group when you'd be available to meet. and you can't ask for extensions of the group assignments which made things very difficult. And getting in touch with her was difficult at times

She keeps a more relaxed environment in her classrooms with her use of a more casual vocabulary. She also does group activities having us both inside and outside the classroom which made it easier to pay more attention to the lecture portions of her lessons. Overall, she made taking her class a more interesting experience with how she engaged us.

Dr. Lee is an Outstanding Teacher; she has lots of and experience very compassion and know how to teach her subject to her students very well rather than just saying or going through the motion! i gained a lot of knowledge but the way i was being taught motivated me to step out my comfort zone! Absolutely will take this class again hands down

I'm taking this class in the summer and I have to say it is very time consuming, but it's as expected from a speech class. I wouldn't recommend you take the class during the summer if you have a really busy schedule or choose to take many classes on top. But overall the course is great and the teacher is good at communication through text.

Prof. Porscha was overall a good teacher, there was a good amount of homework for a summer class you just had to be on top of the work or the assignment would close. She gave good feedback but was a little tough. I do recommend this as a good summer class to take!

I took this as my first college course ever, and boy, was it tough. Get ready to read and take notes. It was only about 4 speeches with practices. The professor is accessible via text message, which is convenient. 99% of the assignments and rubrics are available from day one, so definitely get ahead and make sure you read the instructions clearly.

Overall she was a great teacher to have in the front of the class, she has a great attitude when talking and discussing learning topics, and will always make you laugh at once a day in class. when it comes to work the textbook learning is very easy to under stand but some of the canvas work can be a bit overdone and sometimes confusing.

As far as a speech class goes, this one was great. I'm taking it as an engineering major, and this course was great because she set things up so that you can do a TON of front-loading. She made the speech nights comfortable. Only thing I'd say is her module instructions were sometimes confusing and she's not a super speedy grader.

Professor Lee runs an engaging class with lots of hands-on activities. The workload is manageable, though group assignments can be tricky. Unstuck study was a lifesaver for prepping - definitely recommend using it alongside the textbook.

Take the hybrid class on Wednesday nights! We only met 8 times throughout the semester, gave me a chance to focus on other things pertaining to my other classes. There's only 4 main speeches to give, and I enjoyed Dr. Porscha's lectures because they gave good insight to what to prep for. Please be prepped for lots of group work and top hat!

She is very simple. Go to class, participate, communicate and do the work. She's understanding, but doesn't take no bs. Very understanding, but she's big on communication as she is an speech communication teacher. She does provide lots of work.

This professor was simple but made it clear that you passing the class was more on you than her. The speeches we had to do were simple enough and the test we had to take were open note which really pushed me to use the textbook more often. My ability to make public speeches along with regular conversations had improved as well.

Class is fairly easy as long as you keep up with assignments. The professor is very clear on expectations and the rubric as well as helpful, and she does offer extra credit as well. You do work in a group often, and participation/presenting is a good portion of the grade. 

I enrolled in her online speech class. The first few weeks were a bit overwhelming but once I got my work sorted, it was easier. Lots of group work. Extra credit is helpful. Dr. Porscha was easy to get a hold of using text messages and she gives great feedback on your work. I found the Top Hat textbook very useful for this course.

Prof. Moore is very flexible and understanding. She made the course seem easy, though your grades depend entirely on your participation & hard work. It was overwhelming at first due to a lot of homework on Canvas & Top Hat. However, she made it easier by dividing the class into small groups and was available to assist as needed, It was worthwhile!

The class is okay just that we got lots of assignments and sometimes they don't make sense but if you ask for help than you slowly get it.

Porscha the professor of speech 110 is EXTREMELY understanding.STAY UP TO DATE on your assignments & you will succeed. It is important to not focus on the amount of assignments rather than completing them. She provides lots of resources and lots of extra credit, way more than any prof I have ever had.She want you succeed! So do your part!

This professor has turned my hate of presenting a speech in public, to a newfound excitement for the class. Dr. Porscha is a great professor who values public speaking. She supports her students and gives honest feedback. She's a tough grader, but her lessons helped me improve my speaking skills.

Took the short 8 week class so it was A LOT of work in such a short period but professor was very clear on expectations of each assignment & provided constructive criticism. Helpful if you ask for it & will guide you but again ASK for it. Because of transparency with grading criticism it does leave room for growth with each assignment.

Dr.Porscha is difficult grader but gives amazing constructive criticism and really wants to see her students succeed. She will tell you exactly what you need to work on and how you can do it successfully. She is very understanding and an overall great teacher.

Even though there is more then enough homework there is just enough extra credit to get your grade up

I'm taking the 8 week version of the class so lots of homework is to be expected. Lots of discussion posts, with multiple posts required. Overall good class, nice teacher, not horribly difficult work just time consuming. And she provides good feedback so you can actually learn.

Took the shortened 8 week hybrid class (online and 1 meeting a week). There was a lot of assignments due the first week but after that assignments lessened. Professor is there to help you succeed and supports you to build your confidence while presenting.

If you're doing this in 8 weeks prepare 2-3 hours of homework a night. Dr.Porscha is smart and very knowledgeable. She gives a lot information that is very helpful.

I took her 8 week course, be prepared for lots of discussion posts that take up so much time. Her lectures are also fast pace but she is helpful after class to answer any questions. If you participate and do the work, you'll pass. I suggest to take this course if you don't mind the fast pace and lots of long homework towards the last few weeks.

The Professor was clear on what she expected from us and how the class was going to go. She went over the material concisely so that we understood what she was going over. the workload was tough, but it was done due to the course being compressed into the 8 weeks, so it is understandable why it was tough but it is possible to do it all on time.

She is very funny, but also depending on which course you take prepare to take on a lot of work at once.

Towards the beginning there was a lot of work because this is a 7 week class but later it slowed down. She was very good at doing her job and graded fairly, but do not miss assignments because if you turn them in late there is nothing you can do (unless there was a good reason).

I've not so much enjoyed all the speeches (4) but I have enjoyed learning the course content from Dr. Porscha. She is relatable and makes sure the material is approachable. Her grading standards are clear, she gives a lot of feedback, and extra credit. I highly recommend this class/ professor.

She's a good teacher just don't slack on any work there's no late assignments accepted and there's multiple parts to every assignment so don't procrastinate. Otherwise its a pretty nice class.

All of the assignments were useful, learn a lot. But personally it was a bit difficult to keep up with the assignments while balancing other classes at once.

Definitely stay on top of your assignments, the class is short but it will go by as you blink your eye, I know I missed a few assignments, but at least I learned a bit more on how to talk to people better!

This course was easy to follow., and whenever it became challenging for me, the professor was always available and supportive she consistently provided feedback and timely responses that motivated me to stay engaged. she was approachable, kind and made online learning feel personal and encouraging. I would definitely take another course with her.

This Professor made class comfortable to be in and meet new people. It was fun learning how to speak infront of new people and the professor made sure everyone felt confident to do it.

Professor Moore, is a very understanding professor when communicated with, I did take a summer course that was reduced into four weeks therefore the difficulty was greater as there was more assignments piled up in a short amount of time. Overall her teaching is engaging and she is very good at giving feedback for your improvement.

Prof. Poracha is a great professor. She offers extra credit, gives amazing feedback so students know where to improve. Keep in mind that since she gives a lot of extra credit assignments she does not round up grades, even by a point or less (I think it's fair but, good to know). As long as you stay on top of hw and discussion posts you will pass.

this class was really fun the professor was super funny and the workload even thought it was a lot (took summer class) it wasn't super hard and the materials is explained very well.

I took the 4 week summer class and though it was not difficult material it was a lot of work. The professor is very clear on what is expected and gives good helpful feedback. There are some extra credit opportunities so no rounding up grades and the professor is more strict on late work. overall a understanding professor that is very clear.

She genuinely wants her students to succeed and is always willing to help if you reach out. That said, she assigns a heavy workload, which can be tough to manage if you have a packed schedule. The homework is challenging and time-consuming, but if you communicate with her, she's very understanding and will try to work with you.

Out of all the professors I've had, never have I had a bad one, including Moore. She taught me many things which I was able to both integrate into what I already knew and also understand or practice for the first time. Her teaching style was no-nonsense and everything she conveyed about the material was extremely clear. Just stay on top of Canvas!

Good paced, is always on topic of the same day's subject matter. Good lectures that are easy to follow and allows an extra set of days to finish assignments.

I took this class in the summer—it was tough but rewarding. There's a lot of weekly work: assignments, discussions, group work, and TOP HAT readings (costs $60). Most tasks take more than 1–2 hours. The teacher is very kind, caring, and gives extensions if you ask. It's hard but manageable with effort and communication.

Lots of work, but considering it was a summer class that lasted 6 weeks, it would make sense. The work was pretty straightforward, and the comments she gives about the work are very informative, and she really puts time into reviewing your work and how you can do a better job.

The professor did well in conveying the material. Stay on top of assignments, there is a speech per week. There is extra credit available and I suggest doing it. There is not a physical text book, you will need to purchase an online text book for homework assignments. Check these assignments because they close and cannot be accessed again.

great class and sometimes be a little difficult to communicate with the professor which is kind of ironic because it's a speech communication class.

She was very friendly and helpful. Passionate about the subject and was very informative with the material and the way she taught. Dr professor was very relatable and understanding.

I personally like Dr. Lee Porscha Moore. She is an amazing professor with a big heart who truly cares about her students. She treats everyone with respect, supports people from all backgrounds, and makes learning fun and meaningful. Her positive energy inspires confidence in us all

She is very straightforward and easygoing if you submit your work on time. Asking questions yeilds very knowledgeable answers from her and I loved taking Intro to Speech in her class. While there was alot of seats available, the small group that remained in my class laughed a couple times at her jokes and the activities we do make us closer!

Dr Poresha is a great professor grading a little tuff but is to be expected since its college was a fast pace class learn a lot from it she is very straight forward.

I took the 8 week version of this course. At first, the workload was pretty heavy, but it became more manageable as the course went on. Time management is key since many of the assignments can be time consuming. Overall, the course was fairly easy, and the instructor gives really helpful feedback and is great about responding to questions.

Dr. Lee Porscha Moore is a great instruction, but you have to be ready to participate and do your work on time.

She is very nice and relatable, made the class laugh a few times. There is a lot of work, however if you lock in you can get it done. There is a group project which is established on the first day of class. There is also a $60 textbook required to purchase. Be prepared to participate, there are lots of activities. She is easy to contact.

Dr. Porsha Moore is awesome. Very much a welcome to college attitude and she is charismatic and stern.

Dr. Porscha teaching style is involving her students into her lessons. For example, having impromptu speeches and being given a random topic and certain amount of time to gather a speech and then present it if chosen. Her teaching style gives you the experience/feeling of what she's talking about to help understand.

She has a good in-person teaching style and gives really good feedback on your speeches and outlines. There is a lot of work and can be stressful, but overall the class was enjoyable.

LOTS OF WORK. This class is basically two courses in one. There is the speech part of the class, then there is the textbook part. It WILL take time to complete assignments so beware. She is nice, though gets butt hurt if you leave class early or have an excuse for ANYTHING. She doesn't take excuses so submit assignments on time!

Dr. Porscha is no doubt a helpful Professor, but since she's used to public speaking, she talks REALLY fast. So fast that I sometimes get lost of what she's says. Other than that, she's very helpful. Since this class started later in the semester, she assigned lots of work with due dates being really early, and I slept very late because of it.

Dr. Porsha is a very good professor. This course was accelerated course so there was a good amount of homework, however she is understanding and does give you extensions on it if you notify her before the due date. She does make the lectures interesting and entertaining. Overall, she is a very good professor, and I would recommend taking her class.

Dr. Porscha's teaching style makes lessons fun. There is a bit of a workload, each assignment has multiple parts to answer but none of it is too difficult, just takes time to complete.

Professor Moore is a clear and articulate person. She lays down the principles of her class immediately and lets you know what you're in store for. Each class she will go over textbook work and future assignments and also answer any questions that you may have. Professor Moore offers many opportunities for extra credit which I appreciate.

Starting the class was a little difficult with the overflow of assignments making it i kinda stressful but overtime it becomes easier and the professors is very helpful with assignments and gives more time to do it after the due date if you need to take communication take it with this professor.

I want the other students to know that if you take this class to just be on top of your assignments and to make sure to die things on time and double check your work for errors. Also knowing that some of the work my looks simple but making sure you're reading all the rules to get as much points as possible to receive the most credit.

When I say a lot of homework it was at first a lot of homework AT FIRST meaning the first month of this course it felt a lot but as the weeks went by the assignments started to become less and more manageable, make sure to communicate with professor as well.

Professor Lee Moore is an excellent instructor. She encourages participation and makes sure everyone has a chance to contribute, which makes the class feel engaging.Her lectures are interesting and well-prepared, and she is always approachable if you need extra help or clarification.

An amazing teacher overall! It's a lot of work but it's manageable if you stay on track and don't fall behind. She gives good feedback on all assignments making her assignments easier to understand. Her lectures were straight-forward and she made them engaging. If you're scared of public speaking I would take this professor, she made it manageable.
