An excellent instructor. Made the lectures very interesting. She is one of the very few instructors that is actually trying to teach to learn and not just trying to make it difficult to pass. You actually learn. Made me want to change my major.

Now this is a professor that truly beleives in teacher student relationship. She makes sure that everyone in class understand everything and also reviews for exams very well. There is only a mid-term and a final plus your court observation and attendance.

Prof. Usnick is the most obliging teacher I've ever had- she helps you with anything you can possibly need. If you don't do well on a test, she'll try to understand why and rewrite her test (at least for our class!) I have an A and I don't spend all that much time on this class. Take her for sure!

I took her online, and it was awesome ! All we had to do is take 4 tests (all online of course). I didn't even submit the suggested assignments and still made an A. Read the chapters, do the review and review quizzes and you will be fine.

Obviously the former student did not apply themselves. I thought this would be a dull/boring class, but Prof. Usnick made it interesting and applicable.

Dr. Usnick is the nicest professor on campus. She cares for her students and wants their opinions. Subject matter is extremely boring. Text book we used didn't help much. Lots of chances to make up grades but study for exams, they are tricky. Mostly MC and some essay on tests. Ask for help if you need it, she will assist you. Great teacher.

Prof. Usnick is a wonderful teacher and she can not learn for you like some of the students who rated her wanted her to do for them. She is the best professor to take Business Law with. I got an A of course with proper study time allocated. She should not be giving away grades anyway they are to be earned.

Hard class...but if you work hard you can do well. Lectures are very informative. Does require you to study. She is willing to answer any/all questions that you might have. I totally recommend her.

I like her. I think she sticks to the subject matter and tries to make it intersting, even if it is boring material which she acknowledges it as such. She gives study sheets for exams and tells you exactly what to study for. I have followed her study sheets and have earned A's on her exams. She even grades on a curve for the slackers out there.

Not an easy class. You have to STUDY. Do her reviews, buy the study guide that goes along with the text book. A few of the questions on the exams come from there. Read the book and you should be fine. She's always willing to help.

I would highly recommend her for Business Law class. It is a very boring class and she makes it interesting to learn this subject. Very strict on grading and exams are very lengthy.

I think she is the best professor for this course. You have to read the book before class so you can understand better. She also give out reviews and practice quizzes to help you understand. Her test are multiple choice and she let you if she having short answer or not. She will give you the short answer question in class and work with you.

Took Usnick for Business Law. She is an awesome teacher. She made this class interesting; her lectures were far from boring. Her tests are multiple choice and sometimes short answer (but she will tell you if they are) Read the chapters and you will be fine!

I took Law 3301 & 3302 with her. Her teaching methods are excellent with significant details to each minuscule subject. She visually engages students to learn about the Law. While kept me awake with a great sense of humor. Enjoyed her class and she even motivated me to go to Law School. BEST!

She cares. If you do not understand ask questions. I feel if you can attend most of the class you will be fine. Tests come from the lectures and material covered in the book.

Usnick is a difficult professor. There is ALOT of materail that she makes you go over. One of the exams is over 8 chapters...ridiculous. I got a B in the class but studied alot. I heard other professors don't go over as many chapters as she does. She's a good professor, but unfair when it comes to the exams. Too much material.

She is great. Law can be boring but she makes it entertaining. I actually wanted to go to class. There is A LOT of information to remember! The final has a lot of chapters included. Study Study Study! She is a good teacher even thought the class is demanding.

She is very hard, but overall better than many other instructors. she is very stingy when it comes to grades, my average was 88.31 and she still gave me a B, i attended every single class and studied very hard with 2 A's. She is nice and very clear in explaning the book's material but wont give you an A even if you make an 89.

Usnick was my favorite prof this semester. Tests cover alot of material and are fairly in-depth. If you go to class, and study the books definitions you will do well. Test reviews are long, but VERY HELPFUL Her lectures are interesting and cover material to a T. She gives funny anecdotes from her real-life law experiences that pertain to class.

Awesome lady! When I talked 2 her about hindering issues durin semester she actually responded like a human, care& tried 2 figure out how SHE could help ME succeed in HER class. No she isn't the easiest but what BL class is? And if u find 1, RUN, cause this isn't a class that u want 2 leave w/o learning anything unless u want 2 get sued left&right!

Mrs. Usnick was an awesome professor! One of my favorite professors so far. People keep saying she is really hard but my semester was fairly easy. I did buy the book but I only used it for the review. I didn't even read the chapters and I got a B in the class! Just go to class and look over her powerpoints!

The class is hard but that's because the material is hard. It' a law course and covers A LOT. Take it during the summer semester if you can. She was a wonderful teacher and had a good sense of humor. Tests are easy if you read the text and come to class. She never held us the whole class time during the summer. Loved her class.

I took this proffesor this sememster and she was very helpful. We had no weekly quizzes or anything like that...just 3 tests and a report...the attendence was kept by a sheet and the course work is easy if you just read the study slides and her lectures. I never read the book and I made an A in this class.

Professor is excellent. The final exam was a combination of 8 or so chapters of new material. Law is very detailed and precise, so the class is hard in the sense that you have to read and understand a lot of nuances, but the professor makes it as fun and as easy as a law class can be. Two thumbs up. Great teacher! Very patient.

I GUARANTEE that you will REGRET choosing someone else over this professor. She is absolutely amazing. The "ideal" college professor. Great prof, wish I studied a little harder so I could have pulled off a B easily. I took this course online and it is a lot of reading. Please do your homework and take the quizzes, those are worth about 30% of the overall grade.

Take her class in the short semesters like summer or winter. The regular semester is really hard and lost to do like a 10 pages research paper, but in the short terms u just need to read and pass the tests. She is fair and clear but expects you to be an adult and your work. I loved her!

Took the online Summer course and I wish I had taken this in-class. She is a lawyer, so she talks like a lawyer. I don't understand law, so this class was a challenge. There were 3 tests and a final, as well as a paper. She is great at communicating with people, always emailing and answering questions. Just a tough subject.

She is AWESOME! I always looked forward to class. She makes this subject interesting, funny and applies it to real life. She's helpful, answers all your questions, makes herself available anytime and is quick to respond. She gives lecture notes and study guide for every test so you know what to expect. Take her!!

Gr8 teacher. Many (the lazy or overwhelmed) complain that she assigns alot of reading. She does, but there's no HW. The material is useful for the real world. Test are easy if u study. Questions r straight forward unlike the ones from "test pools" that ask about every nook and cranny of the book completely overlooking important concepts.

Professor Usnick is wonderful. She is knowledgeable in law and provides real life examples so that students can understand the concept of law. She considers her students schedule and will respond to you promptly. I would definately recommend anyone to take a class with her she is worth every penny you paid!

4 papers to writ, one had to be at least 4 pages single spaced, but it was an interview report on compliance and was interesting. 3 multiple choice tests, and one test also had an essay portion. She was very helpful and prompt with answering questions. I was anticipating this class to be much more difficult than it was.

Overall not too bad, exams weren’t too difficult and the case studies were pretty easy if you follow the examples. Only complaint was the 4 page single spaced paper. I would consider taking this class in the summer or mini term I hear she doesn’t require the paper. Made a B

Best professor I have had while at UHD. Took her online for the may mini-mester. It was a tough class and a LOT of reading, but if you put in the time and effort you can make an A.

She is a doozy! Make sure you read her lectures and textbook! The quizzes are HARD, because she makes them up herself. please dont expect fast grades. it seems as if she is against giving A's in her class. Give her feedback and interact. Make sure you meet deadlines! Remember she is a JD!

Best Professor that I have experienced with the University so far. Was really good with answering any questions and really cares about the students. Curves grades and if you do what is asked then you will pass with either an A or B.

Still the best professor available for commercial law, but she does better non-hybrid. Hybrid class assigns lots of take-home exams (essay). Easy grader. Try and she will work with you. Her final is still in-person, but i don't think i learned anything this semester versus in 3301, so that will be harder. Overall, similar material to 3301. Take her

Great Professor this is my second time to a law class with her. You do have to study for the exams but if you get a question wrong and can argue the right answer she will give you the credit.

Very clear on what is expected of you. You will definitely have to read the textbook, however she does provide her own lecture notes which are also very helpful. Responds very quickly to emails.

Her passion for the subject exudes even online. Quizzes were a bit rigorous which was a result of my poor preparation; but no trick questions or any of the sort, it was pretty straight forward. Don't be afraid to ask questions she is very knowledgeable and prompt with her responses. (3) Quizzes 10% each (3) Essays %5, %10 &, %20, Final at %35.

I took this course online over the winter break. Best decision ever. She is super clear on what she's looking for. As long as you read and take your quizzes, write a few easy paper, and study, you will do great.

Material for the course was very difficult to understand and quizzes were very misleading. However, prof. Usnick was lenient with grading and willing to help out her students. Definitely should have gotten a lower grade then I did, she really helped me out. Would recommend this class.

You must read the book to pass this class. Weekly quizzes (2) so get ready to read. No tests except for midterm and final. The multiple choice on the midterm was very hard but you can use notes for all quizzes/tests.

Very easy online professor. There are weekly quizzes which are easy if you follow the provided chapter outlines. All test (including final) are taken online with LockDown Browser but they are open book and open notes, so its very easy. One compliance report that is pressured as important, but I completed it two days before and received a 100%.

oh what a gem she is. the subject material is hard but she tries to make it easy on students. her lectures have incredible amount of knowledge. she gives real life examples. be prepared to study as its not an easy class but this teacher is worth taking.

Professor Usnick connect with the students seamlessly through her section instructors. Professor Quander was our section instructor and she did a great job communicating as well. The class is designed to cover many areas of business law and will enjoy it if you have the right set of mind.

Prof. Usnick, was the lead professor for my class & unfortunately that meant that she wasn't the one teaching in the classroom. However, I found her to be very entertaining in her on line lectures & very responsive to questions as well as willing to meet in person. She is very fair & truly concerned in her students doing well. 2 chptrs/week

lectures are interesting and you will have a couple of laughs on her exams. you can use your notes for midterm and final. make sure to take really good notes and watch her mid and final videos to get an A.

Not a hard class if you read the book. All quizzes are open book and notes, and so is the midterm. 1 paper which isn't hard and discussions for attendance. The quizzes and test aren't hard if you read the book and take good notes, plus some of the multiple choices are extremely obvious and funny. Final is open notes and as many pages as you want.

Took her for business law online. Super clear on what she wants you to understand. Recorded lectures for each ch and quizzes are every week. One research paper you have to do but its not that bad at all. Teaches you a ton of basics about the law. Great professor, easy A-B

The lead professor model for classes like these is a terrible idea. However, Professor Lee and the section instructors were both lawyers in their respective fields and knew the subject really well. Didn't show up to class most of the semesters however i read the chapters and took notes on the weekly chapter quizzes. <- This comes in handy for tests

She is awesome, 2 chapter quizzes every week(this is what I dreaded), they open on Thursday through Sunday. Her reviews are organized into chapters which makes it easy. Only one paper, non compliance report got 97 on it. Mid term and final, final is comprehensive. Midterm is open book but not enough time if you didnt read lol

Prof. Lee is really dedicated and responsible. 2 chapters with 2 quizzes every week; midterm 25% and final 35% and a report and they are really hard. Get ready to work if you wanna make an A. She always replies emails with a timely manner. This is just a difficult class but she makes it easier by being so organized with her lectures (audio/video)

I took Professor's Usnick's summer BA 3301 class. She is an amazing professor! I absolutely loved her. She is very passionate about the subject and will make the lectures interesting. Although it was allot of work, it's doable. It is important to attend class. Quiz and final questions come directly from her lectures. Notes are allowed on the final.

Brilliant! Took class online. I loved it! Had to read two chapters, two quizzes 10 multiple choice, one discussion per week. Can use this information immediately at work. Quizzes super easy, Mid-Term was in 3 parts which helped reduce stress. Best part is OPEN BOOK! Cant take book into Finals but can take notes.

Prof Lee Usnick is a good professor. She writes her own question, so you must study. She response fast to emails or discussions. Be prepare to read and study.

Professor Usnick is a good professor with the lead professor model. Do get ready to read, take quizzes, a paper, a midterm, and a 100 question final exam. If you stay on top of things and ask for help when needed (she is very accessible), you will do just fine!!

FAV class. Class not mandatory but actually USEFUL. She actually teaches material over each quiz and test. Quizzes and test open book/notes. Mid-term & Final has a review which goes over EVERYTHING in the class. You really shouldn't take any other professor.

Two quizzes per week, one midterm, one final and a short paper (3 pages). She will curve if she feels it is needed. Responds quickly to emails. Definitely recommend!

This class was genuinely interesting and the professor was clear on what to expect. Every week there is a discussion board and 2 quizzes. The reviews for the mid-term and final are so helpful and spot-on! Would definitely take again.

She was one of my favorite professors I have taken while at UHD. Very caring and intriguing with her lectures. The syllabus was very clear and easy to follow all assignments due. 3-4 quizzes due weekly. Have to read 23 chapters but it was all worth it and interesting content. She writes her own questions but let's you use notes on quizzes/tests

Very clear grading criteria, 2 quizzes due a week, 1 midterm, 1 final, and 1 report. You definitely have to read the book in order to pass her quizzes, she writes all her own questions. The quizzes and midterm are open note, and she allows 1 page of notes for the final. The report is 3 pages but the instructions are available all semester.

She is a sweet and caring professor, but her tests are terrible as she makes her own questions which are lengthy and very confusing at times. She curves well, but that's not the point, as I lost my A grade because of the questions that don't resemble to anything from the book and answers can go either way. No extra credit opportunity.

I have taken her class twice now. She TRULY cares about the well-being of all of her students. She is super understanding and will always be willing to work with you to get a good grade. She does write all of her own quiz/test questions, so things can kind of get confusing. Overall, I would definitely take her again!

Prof Usnick saved me from myself this semester, with gentle prodding she motivated me to get work turned in, and to keep going. The CLEAREST class I have ever taken. So many resources provided, lecture notes, audio lectures, opensource textbook we didn't have to pay for AND she highlighted the relevant sections! EASY class to do well in.

She is a sweetheart! Her lectures were fun. Grades consisted of 16 quizzes, 1 report, & 70Q final. Quizzes arent as easy bc she makes her own questions. But normally the answers were given in the lecture. Quizlet and Chegg will not help you here. She will curve grades if she finds out her questions arent well structured so this will help a lot.

The class is made incredibly simple by Professor Usnick. Lectures are uploaded weekly, both video and audio as well as a print lecture if that is your preference. One quiz a week, discussions throughout, one small project, a final exam. Be aware: The class involves a lot of reading and understanding of commercial law concepts. No way around it.

So this class isnt so bad like the reviews say. 16 quizzes/ 1 Report/ 1 final 50Q, I took this class during the summer. She words the questions differently so you cannot search them up you have to read the documents on word that she has. 20-30 ea chapter. Keep quizzes some questions were on final. Quizzes are also 10 questions each.

Weekly quiz that is kind of tough, definitely need to read her lectures, but she gives you two attempts at each quiz. She curves so a few missed or low grade quizzes shouldn't affect your grade. 5 participation assignments, 2 points each, all you had to do was complete and got 10 points towards score. Easy grader. Open notes final.

Lots to read, but quizzes and exam is open note/open book. Compliance report is super easy. Read the directions and be specific. Easy A!

I took this as a Summer course, so I had to read 1 chapter every day and take a quiz every day (5 days per week). The Professor was very kind and provided excellent feedback on the compliance report we were required to write.

Professor Usnick is easy, nice and helpful. She writes all her quizzes, and you get two attempts to take them. There is one compliance report (three pages in length), it's easy. The final exam is comprehensive; you're allowed to use notes. I strongly recommend taking her. Do the work, and you'll make an A.

This class was quizzes and discussion boards. Nothing too difficult. I was very nervous for the final but the curved grade helped a lot.

I agree with the 2022 reviews. I would add, get ready to read. No textbook required. Her lectures and pdf are enough. She's inspirational and caring. Replies fast to messages. One attempt two hour Proctored final, 50 questions, and open notes. Plus, she gives a review before the final. Don't stress over the compliance report, and follow the rubric

I love professor Usnick! She is sweet and understanding. I took her as a Spring Hybrid course and I enjoyed her lectures. She ties in her experience with the lecture which helped me understand the material better. Be ready to read though. I recommend her 100%

I took her summer course. She's so understanding you can tell she loves to teach. She explains the concepts so well. I love her notes she provides.

13 MC Quizzes 1 attempt, questions created by her so if not going over them in class bring it up. Every quiz we've had to adjust grades b/c she wrote something confusing or incorrect. Notes allowed on everything including final, Zoom PP presentation (not group), wouldn't take again tbh though not too difficult.

Quizzes 90% similar to practice quizzes provided (study those), compliance report graded easily and easy to do, professor is long winded but she cares and attendance isn't needed (online class). Final is very different than the quizzes. Text book provided for free. Curve provided at the end of the semester. Easy A.

Professor Usnick is great. She has wonderful lectures that are relevant to the weekly topics. Take notes that can be used for the final exam. There is a weekly quiz (10 mc questions) that she creates, one project, and a final exam. She uses an online (FREE) textbook. She is very organized and provides a variety of information for you to succeed.

Professor Usnick was not what I expected, by the end of the class, I decided I could take her again. Ok,when I say test heavy, I mean quiz heavy, about 13 quizzes. She creates her own quizzes,so she words them to where they are a little tricky. One PP presentation. about 5 small discussions and a OPEN NOTES FINAL EXAM. She had a final exam review.

Prof. Usnick gives open notes 10 multiple-choice quizzes in 20 minutes. If you complete the Learning Objectives worksheet, you should be fine completing her quizzes. I took it hybrid and there is no book, she provides all the materials. There is a project that's an easy A+.

Take her class. She is the best! I took her 8-week course. She provides practice quizzes that are very similar to the actual quiz. You don't need to buy a textbook. She will provide notes, presentations, voice recordings, etc., for you to use to help with your quizzes.

Class is hard but professor is AWESOME and communicates well. Her quizzes and tests are harder as she write her own questions so you won't find the answers online, but she gives all the material needed to be successful via recorded lectures and provided materials. Enjoyed her class and taking her again for a diff subject.

Don't hesitate, TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! Although her quizzes and exams were hand written and a little difficult with confusing wording at times if you paid attention in class you will do just fine! She really cares about her students and wants you to pass.

Professor Usnick's BA3301 class is tough but rewarding. Her quizzes are challenging, but the provided materials and study tools like unstuck ai make it manageable. With diligent reading and note-taking, you can excel. The free textbook and engaging lectures make this a worthwhile course.

Dr. Lee is one of the most amazing professors that I have taken at UHD. She did not record most of her lectures, only important lectures like the final review. Her key concepts, audio lecture, and practice quizzes helped. Total of 6 quizzes. One Big project. Lectures are long, but full of useful RL info. You can tell she cares about her students!

She is a great professor. Look no further! take her class! As long as you pay attention you will pass. & her class is always intresting.

Professor Usnick is very sweet and helpful! As someone who dislikes law jargon, I ended up enjoying this class due to Professor Usnick's lecture and supplemental resources. If you have any questions she will not hesitate to answer them and encourages an open dialogue although this was an online class. Really enjoyed this elective class.

She's a very kind and sweet woman who made the class enjoyable. I used the online book for one chapter, which helped with our PP presentation due at the end of the semester. The project is easy, but start working on it right away, as it's a little time-consuming. Very easy and laid back class. She wants you to succeed. Trust me, take her!

I really enjoyed taking this professor. I took the summer course and there was 10 quizzes over each chapter we were assigned to read and a final exam. There are practice quizzes that help prepare you for the actual quizzes and a review for the final. 10/10 recommend.

This class was very easy, I think there was a book but I watched her lecture videos and read her notes. She does advise you get the book, there is only so much she can put into a short lecture. Her assignments are easy and although some is legal knowledge, a lot of it is common sense when you take a second to think about it. Great class/professor.

She is a great professor that cares a lot about her students. Even though it was an 8wk class, it was manageable and she gives you all the tools you need to do well in the class. She made online learning a great experience and her lectures/stories were very interesting.
