Her lectures are basically a recap of the important topics in the book. Homework is super easy (fill in the blank questions), and her tests cover the material from the lectures (no more no less). I learned a lot in her class and I recommend her to anyone interested in learning biology.

I think Dr.Sawant is the best teacher that i ever had...i always thought that Bio is the hard subject but she made it so helpful and interesting...If you read and learn the note carefully..U will do just fine on the test b/c everything are from the note...And more than that she curves alot... Great teacher! This is an intense class with lots of material to go over but she makes it as easy as possible. All lecture notes and powerpoint presentations are online so that if you miss a class, you will not fall too far behind. There is a short paper to write but it is really easy and an almost automatic A.

Very Good teacher...Its not her fault that its a difficult subject..Study the notes for lecture exams and study your lab manuals for the Lab exams..The reviews posted online only help with about 50% of the test..But as long as you look over your notes and dedicate some time to the course you will do fine!

She's a nice and helpful teacher and I don't think it's her fault bio 2 is so hard but i'm failing her class and i know a handful of people who have dropped. I won't recommend her but I won't say anything's wrong with her. Just take a chance. My gpa has been damaged by this class.

Dr Sawant is a very good Biology teacher. She does have an accent but she communicates well. Her powerpoint slides were very helpful. She is very open to suggestions and comments; she genuinely love teaching Biology. Her exams were easy if you thoroughly understand the topics and concepts. I do recommend Dr Leena Sawant! Her appearance is chic.

Professor Sawant is an extremely caring and dedicated teacher. She takes pride in her teaching and her students. Her notes make it easy to follow along in class and to study for tests.You do have to put your time into studying and doing the homework assignments.Negative comments are not a reflection of the teacher but the laziness of the students.

Professor Leena is great. I would recommend her for anyone I know that wants to take biology. Her lectures are very clear and you can easily understand her. All you have to do is PAY ATTENTION, participate in class (helps a lot) read your book, and do the assignments online in masteringbiology (easy). Shes great and knows her stuff!

Sometimes it is hard to understand the way she teaches, but once you read the chapter and do your homework, everything will click. Her tests are about 60-70 questions which she gives reviews but the review is only like 50% of the test so you have to study. She does care for your education and ability to learn and will be there if you need her.

Professor Sawant is a good professor who really cares about her students. BIOL is not an easy subject so be prepared to study hard. I received an A but I had to work for it. She's clear enough in her lectures & provides ample material for you to perform very well. Remember this is college; you can't roll out of bed and just get As at this level.

Great teacher. Explains chapters well. Textbook required. Give notes on PP so study those and you should do well on tests. Gives extra credit so do that and you can actually move a whole grade up. Lectures are sometimes boring, but necessary. Miss a day, and you feel lost. Need to read alot. Class goes very fast.

Dr. Sawant was a great prof. She was so helpful. She really cares about her students. She'd try to figure out different ways to explain complex biology topics in simple terms . She tries to make sure everyone understands the topics. The class is pretty simple if you put in the effort, go to class, and buy the book(or at least the online code)

Dr. Sawant was an excellent professor! Her lectures are inclusive of all necessary info and easy to follow. Didn't really have to use the textbook, as her lectures and MasteringBiology helped to learn the material. Ones who majoring in Biology or relating majors definitely like her. She is inspirational, she is funny and always try to deliver lectures in easiest ways. For exams, make sure you study the topics clearly, or at least her powerpoints to pass. She does give bonus points to save you. However, that was about Bio I which I heard easier compared to II.

The lectures are complex and if you want to understand you will have to read before class. Professor is engaging and explains very well, she requires you to do concept maps for each ch's and some group projects as well. Her tests are more challenging than average, study study study.

She is a great professor. I never once read the book, all of my knowledge was obtain from her lectures. She explains in detail and makes things simple to understand. I would strongly recommend you to take her class. She gives 5 exams drops the lowest grade. A group project very easy. Best of all she gives exam reviews.

It has been my first time taking this professor for my 1407. As this course is actually tough, we can't blame this professor if the grade you get this below from what you expected because it isn't actually her fault. It is your duty to go in detail and prepare for the course. She does her maximum best to boost up your grade with extra credit.

AMAZIIIIIIING!!!! I went into the class scared for my life. I did not like biology, but this prof really changed my perspective on the subject. She knows her stuff and can actually teach it too. Lectures are very detailed. You do however need to work hard, make sure you read again. There are many tests: 5 lecture, 2 lab, 2 final, and concept maps.

If you work you will get a good grade. However, many people do not.

She is highly intelligent, and rewards the enthusiasm of a student actively participating in class, and trying to master the material. Professor Sawant is an excellent biology professor and dually skilled and knowledgeable in the area of biology. Professor Sawant was by far the best instructor that I've had this semester. Her lectures keep you engaged and she really cares about you as a person as well as a student. The course is really well structured so you won't feel overwhelmed. Her class is not easy though, if you want to get a good grade on her class you have to work for it.

Dr. Sawant helps make difficult topics easier to understand. However, your grade is very dependent on how much you participate in her class. If you do not participate, her class will be difficult for you as her lectures directly correlate to exam questions. Don't be afraid to ask her questions and attend office hours if you need help! :)

This class is HARD you will need to STUDY! She doesn't provide any reviews before the exams only what chapters you will need to study. The exams are a mix of the homework, class lectures and powerpoints (5 exams). Go through the chapter's powerpoint before each lecture. She is a great professor though!

Just study Pearson homework and videos. It's what got me an A. She's funny as fugg in class tho, be goofy if u wish.

Overall, having Pr. Sawant has been a blast, for such an Intensive course!! she really boiled it down to the most important things while still having a good time with everyone. I feel she made me enjoy biology again after BIO 2 from my experience in BIO 1... wow highly recommend to take her if you think you won't enjoy BIO :)

She is a kind lady and cares that her students learn biology. Lectures are PowerPoint and she makes notes on the board to help the class follow the material. She also engages a lot with the class and expects the students to respond to her questions. Some may find it annoying but it's very helpful when trying to remember stuff for the test.

She taught very well. The reviews are bad but she only has a few assignments and one group project to boost your grade. Her exams are exactly what she teaches. If you study you will do well. I studied a lot and did well on the exams. She boosted our final. Shes really sweet. I recommend and just study!

I'm taking her for an online course. She responded to my email really fast and seemed really caring. There are lots of resources to help you learn the material. No reason you shouldn't make an A unless you really just don't try.

She's very nice and accommodating but you HAVE to present in the lab or you're gonna be a bit confused on the tests . 3 lab exams , labs and quizzes make up the grade . She's pretty chill and sometimes we finish the labs early . I do recommend but for me , I just won't take her again

She was an excellent professor. I got an A in the summer 5-week bio course because I paid attention in class and ground all day Saturday and Sunday for the exam on Monday. It's doable, exams are like 1hr20 and I would finish in like 25-30 mins. If you listen to what she says and actively answer questions, she will look out for you 👀.

This class was in person and very lecture and textbook heavy. You can tell she loves biology and teaching. She actively encouraged the class to participate. She was reachable and the assignments were easily spaced. I work full time and had time for everything in the class. The exam questions were easy and taken off of the practice exams.

She was a really nice professor. Her exams are easy if you study, she uses some of the same questions from the unit quizzes on the exam. She does take all 3 lecture hours so beware of that, we get on 10 minute break halfway through, but she never lets us out early. She knows a lot and loves biology too.
