Can I give her 10 stars? Lei is by far the HIGHEST quality professor I have ever had at ACC. Her lectures are very clear. I took Macro with another professor, and I was so lost, but with Lei, I understood all the concepts clearly. She cares about all of her students, and she wants you to succeed. She also took time to get to know me and my goals.

Professor Ji was probably the best professor I've ever had. She cares about her students and goes the extra mile (or two!) to help them succeed. Her lectures were clear and when the course went online (because of COVID-19) she helped us as much as possible. I really enjoyed her class and would ABSOLUTELY take from her again. Amazing professor!!!

Ahhhh I can't say this enough, take her class!! She is MORE than qualified and even better than some professors I've had at a four year university. She is passionate about what she teaches, cares about her students, provides personal experiences to understand concepts better. She makes all perspectives of economics known and teaches unbiasedly.

I am a dual credit highs school student and took Dr. Jis online summer course. It was intensive and I studied very hard. She recorded her own lectures and those are very interesting! I decide to pick Econ as my major in college because of this course.

I took this course before with another teacher, but did not get anything out of it because that teacher did not really care and did not explain anything. Dr. ji is very knowledgeable and passionate about the topic, I love Dr. Jis course and she is the most organized and determined teacher I have ever met.

Professor Lei really cares about her students and economics. She provides many extra credit opportunities and her lecture is very helpful. It's important to pay attention during the lectures and take notes because the homework is based on it. She allows 3 tries on the homework and if you understand the homework, you'll ace the final.

Don't recommend taking in 5-weeks, like I did. Any other longer time frame would've been much better and would've probably resulted in an A. Accessible out of class and ready to help.

i took her class in 5 weeks and i loved her! she's super nice and the class is really well organized. she sends daily emails with a suggested routine and does office hours 4 nights a week. lectures are well explained and you'll get extra credit if you turn in notes. you get three attempts on assignments which makes it super easy to learn!

use quizlet for the homeworks, get ready to read A LOT and DO THE EXTRA CREDIT

I took Professor Ji's 5-week econ class, and though it was fast-paced and intensive, it was well worth it. She is the sweetest and really cares about her student's understanding of the material. Lectures were sort of boring but were really detailed. Study and redo the hw assignments, and you should be able to pass the final exam!

Assignments every 1 - 2 weeks, all multiple choice questions. But you need to listen to her recorded lectures and take good notes, to do well in the assignments. Extremely clear lectures. A very kind person who responds to emails fast and is willing to help the students. Will take her again!

Professor Lei is very sincere. She cares about her students a lot and makes sure that every one of us gives our best in the course. This professor is very discipline and organized. She replies to email quickly also gives good feedbacks. I really recommend you to take her, she works hard to make sure all of her students understand economics.

one of the easiest A's I've ever earned. Total points 400. 7 HW 50 points each, but she drops the lowest one. She gives three attempts for each HW, so really easy to get 50 points on them. 16 points possible extra credit (EC). 100 point final. Finished everything two months early. Didn't watch/read material, do EC, and still made an A

The best professor in ACC! Sent out weekly study plan, and she recorded all the lectures. Very clear about everything. This is not an easy course, and I spent more hours than she suggested to study. But she is very helpful.

She is even better than my professors in A&M, and that is the reason why I took Econ with her in ACC instead of A&M. She gives wonderful recorded lectures, and responds to emails/texts very quickly. Definitely recommend taking her summer econ class. Although her course is lecture heavy, it really goes in depth to make you understand economics fully. There are one or two assignments due every week and the final exam at the end of the course is just like the assignments. Dont procrastinate and youll be fine.

This class was amazing and the professor was amazing! There are 7 HW assignments on which you get 3 tries and up to 9 points of extra credit for the Final Exam, which is super easy. Professor Ji's lectures were mind-blowing, and I didn't even need a textbook. I understood everything she explained in her lectures really well.

She is so helpful and has amazing lectures. Very easy to follow. You can upload your notes for each unit lecture for one point extra credit towards the final which will be 8 points. She also offers extra credit for some units where you do a one-on-one meeting and explain a few questions from assessments.

I don't normally write reviews, but Dr. Lei is awesome! Always super responsive and more than willing to help us. The lectures are amazing and related to real life. The final is comprehensive and closed-books, the questions are from assignments. I didn't do well in the final but it wouldn't change my view to Dr. Lei and her lectures.

As a single mom who works 2 jobs, I appreciate the help from Prof. Lei. I wouldn't pass the course without her. Wish more professors were like her.

Took Prof Lei for Principles of Microeconomics & loved her. The class was a 12-week, async course w/ about 2 hours worth of lecture vids each week. It may seem daunting but breaking them up & watching like thirty minutes a day made it very manageable. You definitely have to work for your grade but she provides all you need to be successful

Her online class is very hands off but she is very easily accessible if you have any questions about anything. Class is easy if you study and pay attention to the videos

Professor Ji was amazing. She worked very well with me one on one being able to get my final done. Very clear expectations & amazing communication. Easy A! Final is through Respondus, so you definitely need to prepare for it.

Her in person class is VERY challenging but inspiring. She kept challenging you until you fully understood everything in class. Some students couldn't take it and withdrew. But I really love it. I feel like truly understand macroeconomics now. She gave wonderful lectures, and she is super kind and helpful. Be sure to work VERY hard though.

I took the shorter course but material was available months before to be able to get a head start. Would recommend doing that. Used text books somewhat. HW due every Sunday and about 50 questions each. She provides lots of videos and practice questions as well. Was very helpful. Take Micro before Macro

The Global Studies section of Macroeconomics is more intense than the standard class. Be ready to present weekly to the class and know the material well before each class. There is a huge research paper applying a theory -- a large % of your grade. She is an excellent professor and is very accessible when you need help. I enjoyed this class.

I did this class online and at your own pace! Her videos are very much in great detail and explains everything in depth also! I recommend taking class!! I would definitely take her class again!

Great professor, super caring and nice. However, I struggled with this class, it was a short class (8-weeks) and the homework was mostly 40 questions long each week. She really tries to make you think so I felt like the homework was very difficult. You also only get 1 attempt on the Final which is stressful. Overall, great teacher though.

I took Professor Lei for Micro and knew I had to have her for Macro too. Literally the best prof hands down. She has an accent but you get used to it quickly. She's amazing at simplifying complex topics and although you watch prerecorded lectures, she does multiple examples of each graph/theory/ whatever so it's drilled in your brain.

I took both macro and microeconomics with her online. She communicates very well through email and Blackboard, and she is very clear about her expectations, due dates, etc. She is a Very Good TEACHER, explains things really well and in a way beginners can understand. I loved the text book she uses. Be ready to study hard and put in the work.

The professor is awesome! If you've ever taken a economics class you know how well you understand the info depends on the teacher. THIS CLASS IS HEAVY(8 weeks) I work full time so this class was a lot for me personally. The homeworks are ok, but the lectures + homework is alot! I struggled grasping many of the concepts. (I'm not an econ or business major/etc). You're graded on 7 assignments (3 chances on each) + 1 midterm (open notes, proctered, based on the assignment questions, 3 chances) + final (closed notes, proctered, cumulative, 1 chance). 8 extra credit points available for the final. Take notes + Redo stuff -> A

I struggled with this class as some others have mentioned, but Professor Lei was great! She was always available to answer any questions and also communicates with her class via GroupMe. She offers several opportunities for extra credit and allows you 2 weeks to review the lectures and submit assignments. I passed with an A, but bombed the final.

Do the extra credits!! just copy the lecture notes down. Take advantage of the 3 attempts for the midterm!! They will give you some cushions for the final. I only needed a 50 on the final exam (close notes + lockdown browser) to get an A which made things a lot less stressful for me.

This is not the easiest Econ class. My previous class from another class (Econ2302) only had a couple exams, open books and open notes. Prof. Lei, however, required you to watch 3 hour videos and assignments for each unit. Her final exam is proctored. But IT IS WORTH IT! You actually can learn something!! She made me fall in love with Economics!

My friend and I took Prof. Ji's class together. We worked hard for our grades and have learned a lot from her. She is, in my opinion, one of the best economics professors you could ask for. She is brilliant and explains the practical intuition behind economics. We both successfully transferred to decent colleges btw!

Took Ms. Ji's 5 week online econ course. I would recommend this course but be prepared to study!! There are up to 9 points of extra credit by submitting notes. Her lectures are slow, long, and can take around 4 hours per week. The midterm (10%) and final (30%) are monitored, have 50 questions, and use all hw questions, so make sure you do those!!

I took her for macro and micro and so glad I did. She is very knowledgeable on her subject and gives you every way to do well in her class. She tapes all of her lectures making the book obsolete. The homework questions come back on the tests, so super easy to make good grades on the test if you study.

This class was not a walk in the park, but it was a great class with a great professor nonetheless! There are 7 assignments (lowest is dropped), one midterm (all HW ?s), and one final. Make sure you take notes she even shows you how to take notes on the videos. She was a great professor, her lecture videos are very informative. I only used the book on the first unit not knowing what to expect on her videos. I sticked with her study plans for the week and did not find it overwhelming. I suggest you do all the extra credit.

Not an easy course, and I got a C, which I am not proud of... This is the only course that required efforts among all courses I took this semester. But it is also the only course that I actually learned something useful...she helped me a lot to navigate college life... amazing lectures

This class was super straightforward on what you needed to do to get a good grade. She has one assignment a week which is basically a long quiz with multiple chances. Study the notes and videos she puts up and you will do fine. Also one extra credit a week to give you 8 extra points on the final exam. Mid-term was difficult but won't tank grade.

Professor Ji is very organized in the material given. She manages to create interesting lectures to watch. The quizzes and exams are easy to follow and solve. If you are willing to maintain a good time management, it should be an easy A

For the Midterm and Final make Quizlet from the HW assignments and memorize and you will do fine in the class. Tons of time if you do the full semester online. Loved the spaced deadlines and easy to work with.

Professor Lei Ji is great. Do not miss any assignments as she is strict in regards to deadline extensions, Meaning you won't get any. One mid term and final which make up most of your grade. The content can be tough sometimes but just study your homework and take notes and you'll do fine. Great professor!

I took the online Macroeconomics Course and had no complaints! Professor Ji makes clear all concepts that you need to know in her video lectures, and is concise. This class is something that you will need to devote some time to, but Professor Ji sets recommended times that are quite accurate. Would recommend to anyone needing an Economics credit!

Professor Lei goes above and beyong for her students. Not only does she send out weekly reminders of what needs to be done and how long it will take for time management, but she makes a chat group for her class and will answer any question at any time. She is always very polite and professional, and is also thorough in her lectures.

I took Professor Ji's 8-week in person class. She is super organized. Her lectures are all nicely laid out, and she's on top of answering my questions real quick. She knows her stuff and throws in real-life examples during class. The assignments and extra credit options are Lifesavers.

She does do very nice lectures and explains things very well. But be careful on procrastinating on watching the lecture (if doing online), and turning your homework in on time. She does a midterm, and a final exam, both are closed notes, respondous lock down browser. If you don't procrastinate you'll be fine in the class :)

She is very comfortable with what she teaches, always explains the "intuition" of a concept instead of just forcing you to memorize it, and answers questions in a helpful and timely manner. I selected this prof based on RMP reviews, and they were pretty accurate. I went from being ahead w/ a 89 to behind w/ a 76, due to a drastic work schedule change. I dropped in fear of failing her class but she organizes the class & explains the topics so well on BB! I kind of regret dropping bc I JUST KNOW she set the bar so high for the next prof

TAKE THIS CLASS! I took the 8-week class and it was a breeze since she's such a good prof. There were 9 units, 8 assignments (one extracred per unit -- just uploaded notes), Midterm and final. Her lectures are great so i didnt use the textbook often. Lock down browser for tests and 3 attempts for all assignments. Shes easy to contacts aswell. 10/10

She was very clear right away on the grade breakdown of this class, its very simple. The assignments are more like open-note online tests ranging from 25-50 questions, but they aren't bad at all and the questions mirror those seen in the two tests. Pay attention in the lectures and you will be golden.

Dr. Ji is not only an excellent professor, but she also cares deeply about her students. I was going through a very difficult time in my life and doubting myself a lot. During the semester, I received an email from her. She was the only person in the world who truly saw my effort and my progress, and she took the time to tell me that.

The proctored midterms and the final are literally the exact same questions as the homework, so just study the homework. Opt out of the textbook.
