Definitely the best math teacher at COD. Sign up early and get to class EXTREMELY early if you are trying to crash it- there were 40 people on the first day that were after 3 open spots. he is lenient as long as you're trying, the tests are usually 10 questions. do all the homework every night, otherwise you'll bomb the quizzes.

I made the mistake of stop going to his class and i when i tried to sign up for his class the fallowing years (notice i have tried for mulitple years now), it has always been full. he really is easy and cares about passing you, as long as you show up and do your homework.

He is very creative in the way he teaches. He does not take roll so you can show up to class when ever (but he may throw in a surprise quiz once in a while but they are only like 3 questions long). he is easy because of the way he teaches the subject. he is one funny teacher though

The best proffessor ever! If you can not pass his class, you need to drop out or retake a lesser math class! He is the best at lecturing and the Mathlab system he uses was also great! I am an A student who dropped my prior class because the proffesor could not teach. Amazingly, he actually cares for his students (maybe because he has kids at home).

This is the guy you want to take if your weak at math. It cannot be overstated how much easier this class will be with him as your teacher. The only negative aspect I can see in him, is that perhaps his "easiness" can translate to a weaker mathematical work motivation. But otherwise, he is great.

I had dropped Math 54 twice; couldn't understand what the f**k other professors were saying, but w/ him, I got down pretty good. Dr.J. is the GCF of math department. He is the most Generous, Caring & Funny(fun loving)prof. That's why he stands out among his collegues. This professor is great, I took math 40 with another professor before this class and I failed it badly. I didn't understand the subject at all, so I went into this class with a fear of not succeeding at all. A week into the course however, the vastly superior teaching ability was apparent, as the course material was made easy and understandable.

He is an excellent professor. He is very helpful and explains things very good. He talks very loud. What I liked about him is that he is so passionate about math and it really makes you want to learn more. He is very funny always making you laugh with his jokes. Gives a lot of extra credit and really cares about his students.

Best class I have ever taken!

At first, I almost took the bait & had a different teacher but decided to go with my mother function instincts because you can't have you cake and eat it too, but good thing that lectures are always perfect, never hopeless or we wouldn't be able to find the root of the problem. All in all he has mastered the art of teaching.

Dr Jordan is by far the best math teacher I have ever had. You wont be disappointed, he can make math easy and fun, hes much different from most teachers at COD, he actually cares. If you take another professor and fail, don't say you weren't warmed, Jordan is the man. Lots of test and you have test remediation, so its kinda of hard to fail.

Its my first year in college and Dr Jordan made my whole perspective on algebraic math easy and simple. He takes his time and effort by helping you understand the concepts of each problem. Dr Jordan is a very good teacher but I was often distracted by his political rhetoric that he incorporates in his lectures that has nothing to do with math. He is very good at telling stories to help you learn.

I took most of my math classes with DR. Jordan, his truly amazing and very smart math professor. His lecture can be a little heavy but he explain every problem step by step and very clear. you will need to spend 1 or 2 hrs everyday to go over lecture which will help a lot for preparing for exams.

Awesome professor. Took Math065 pre-algebra online and somehow really enjoyed it. the professor somehow made math enjoyable. Nice guy, super funny, and he knows his stuff. I have to take math054 next and wish he was my professor. The bonus is that the textbook is online and free.

I took his online class during the COVID-19 pandemic, I really enjoyed in his class in the spring semester. He post most of his lectures on canvas / YouTube. The best math professor I took in my college year. I'm planning to take his class again, MATH010 in the fall of 2022

Homework can vary between chapters but will be easy with lectures/notes he gives. Funnyman and makes learning math really simple and easy. The textbook is free and helps clear anything up. There is structure to the class and there is hardly ever anything that is out-of-the-blue. Also will let you retake tests in the future to help grades.

Teaching is awesome! He is very approachable and basically gives you the answer to your problem when you ask him for help. He is very clear and has a lot of tricks and tips ready to share. College Algebra is hard tho. If you are not good with math, brace yourself and get ready for lots of videos for help.

Dr. J is a real gem. The class was intense for me online because I work better in person and I hadn't taken a math class in years. But, his videos are clear and helpful and prepare you for the quizzes , tests, and homework. I would make sure you have time to dedicate yourself to this class. You'll get an A if you do the work, and prepare.

I took Dr. Jordan Fall 2019, but really want to write a review! If you need a math course, take MATH10 with this man! He made learning enjoyable and easy to understand. If you ask for help, he will help! I didnt do too well on the final and shouldve had a B on my transcript but he gave me an A :) This man is great!

Dr. J. is one of the best teachers you'll ever have. Highly recommend taking his classes. Cares for his students and is available for help if needed. Great videos that are easy to follow with lots of examples.

Took his Summer class online, and it was great. Most of what you learn is gonna be through his lectures that he uploads. He first starts by teaching you the concept and then goes over examples that you will find in your homework. I pretty much never had to seek outside sources for help, so that's how good he is in my opinion.

I really don't like math, but this class made it tolerable. The lectures are easy to follow and he gives plenty of examples so you really get it. Just watch the lectures and glance at the textbook occasionally if you need any extra help. He's really funny and easy to get along with. Would totally recommend!

The best professor I have ever had. I have a learning disability but in this class he really encouraged everybody that they could learn anything. He takes people into account and really makes sure they understand what they're doing. Definitely a great professor!

I took this course summer 2022, it was a fast paced course. There is many assignments due per week, almost every day we had something to do. I think Professor Jordan, was caring when I informed him ahead of time of a family issue and gave me an extension with my quiz. You can always message him if you need help. I would take another class from him!

Dr.Jordan is awesome! I just am not great at math lol. But I passed my class and am taking the next class Math-54 this next semester. I recommend studying the Multiplication table and Studying fractions. He has a Youtube channel "Dr. Jordan's World of Math" I recommend going over these videos to strengthen your skill.

Many professor who go too fast during lectures or the course because in order to learn you need to understand it and i ask a lot of question he has been great at explaining and been accessible outside of class hours to respond to any question through canvas and even though this class was fully online he has great videos that are very helpful.

Dr. Jordan is awesome. Lecture days are easy to understand and entertaining. His feedback is very helpful when it comes to exams, labs, homework, etc. I would definitely recommend taking his class without a doubt.

Amazing professor! Work load was manageable with my full-time work schedule. Chapter quiz, 3 exams, and 1 final. I would love to take him again if I could.

Ask questions and be prepared to listen. Dr. Jordan helped me get over the fear of higher level math. Go to class and you will learn.

I was scared to take a math class, but this professor saved me. If you had any questions he would schedule a 1 on 1 Zoom. You could complete the homework whenever without a late penalty. There are 4 tests, the tests are made up of quizzes, so you have a study guide. He genuinely cares about his students. 10/10.

A lot of homework, but you can do it anytime. His lectures are really helpful. Gives you lots of opportunities to better your grade.

Professor Jordan makes a tough math class manageable. Lots of homework, but he provides great feedback and resources like unstuck AI. Definitely worth taking if you put in the work.

He has been the only professor/ teacher that has helped me understand any math. I am so grateful for him. Professor Jordan teaches you two different ways on how to solve and equation or problem, so if one way doesn't work try another.

Dr. Jordan is a great professor. He's caring and does not mark you down for late work. His lectures do run a bit long, and the homework questions can take up some time. It is easy to fall behind in the class, but you are able to make up for any late homework up until the end of the semester.

The best math teacher i've ever had in my 19 years of life. I took his business calc class full online and it was a breeze. All hw and quizzes are done through mathlab and you get infinite tries for the homework. The quizzes are also consistent with the homework too which is great. No other words just take this guy.
