Dr. Craig is absolutely amazing! I had no prior experience with Medieval/Early Modern European history, but after this class I'm sure if I proceed with a Master's in history, it'll definitely be in this area. Attendance is mandatory, 3 papers, 2 tests. Don't really need the textbooks. I absolutely loved this class

Never thought I'd be into Medieval History, but she makes the subject so interesting so the lectures aren't boring! Go to class and get clicker points for grade. In-class clicker quizzes based on readings, so try to read a little. Only 3 written/essay-based exams, but she's super clear and gives all the information you need. Great teacher!!

One of the best professors at VCU. Extremely knowledgeable about Medieval and Early Modern European history. I would definitely take Dr. Craig again if I had the chance. She's always able to answer questions and usually responds to emails within 10-30 minutes. I really loved this class and looked forward to going to it every day.

She is extremely knowledgable. There is no homework, other than readings. Attendance is required if you want to pass, those clicker points add up. If you hate reading don't take this class because all her tests are based off the readings. She is pretty hardcore (passive aggressively) about tardiness. She's kinda a straight edge but understanding.

She was a very cool teacher. And oddly cute. I never thought i'd be interested in Medieval history but she made it interesting. Some readings are kinda long but I was pretty lazy. She is always ready to answer questions and tells you exactly what you need to know for exams. Coming from a slacker, this class should be an easy A or B and interesting.

Dr. Craig was really one of the best teachers I've ever had. Her lectures are hilarious and engaging. There are readings, but that's the only homework she gives and they're mostly really interesting. She does take clicker points, so be prepared to attend class, although missing some isn't going to majorly hurt your grade. Overall, amazing class.

Bubbly & energetic! A bright intelligent woman to wake up to at 10am. Speaks loud & clear. Chooses entertaining subject matter to study. As a non-history major who is very bad at history, I can honestly say she made me respect the subject & enjoy it. If you come to every class & listen well, you can certainly get an A.

Dr. Craig is a fantastic professor. Her 201 class is engaging and informative. She does not require a textbook, she posts all of the readings on blackboard and they are essential to the exams. She gives thoughtful feedback and is always happy to help students.

She was a nice person overall, however grading is VERY confusing. It's not displayed until the semester is over, so even if you did bad you won't have enough time to go back and fix it. She grades based on "incomplete" and "complete" so an F or A no in between. The summative assignments are very important, you must complete 3/3 to get an A.
