Really brings out the writer in you! If you want help outside of class you must ask for it! Really cool women! Grade depends mostly on writing assignments.

SHe is so great, she makes lit. so much fun, and does not overload you on readings because she likes to focus on specific novels/poetry etc. and makes them so intersting, one thing dont miss class meetings with her because you will miss much!

Completing all writing assignments are necessary to get a grade in the class. She is very young--almost 30--and good looking. She has a great body. Attendance is always good in her class with the male students as well as female. You get to watch movies.

Really fun class to take in summer. Very organized and focused. Be punctual,participate in class discussions, read assignments and write all the papers. Easy A if you are serious about the class.

I loved this class! She is such and awesome person. I always looked forward to this class. Writting essays isnt fun, but she makes it fun by picking topics that help you with finding yourself.

GREAT TEACHER. Her class takes some effort but she is a really fun teacher. My class was 50% online 50% campus, just make sure you keep up with the online assignments. As long as you show you care and want to be there its a fun class. and shes a HOTTIE!!!

I've had her for ENGL100 (50% online), I loved it. She focuses on group work. I also took her ENGL 101. She's very nice about grading and turning in papers a LITTLE late. I'm taking 280 with her now. it's not bad. Just TALK in any of her classes.

I would recommend this class to everyone interested in reading great novels/poetry. she always tries to get the class engaged. her class isn't easy, but definitely worth your time. plus, she gives you great feedback if you would just utilize her e-mail and office hours. you will definitely improve.

It was her first time teaching the class so she went with the flow. I got A's on the essays and for the most part the class is easy if you just follow the instructions she hands out for the essays. Its a fun calls and a lot of fun discussion.

Great class.The books are good, and she is a great teacher.Most classes depend alot on the students but she can hold her own throughout the class if need be.So long as you do the reading(can't use sparknotes with her)you will do fine. Oh, and looks great in jeans.

Shes young and is nice. I loved her class, and got a/b on all of the papers, even though i did them the night before. I highly recommend her. plus she missed a few classes which is nice.

I took Leigh Anne's 50% online class and it was amazing. Her teaching style and methods are clear, modern, and effective. She is a perfect example of an all-around great teaher because she is both captivating and effective at teaching the fundamentals of English 100. She is not an easy "A" by any means but does give extra credit opportunities.

Very good writing class. It was small so she could take the time to talk to you. We got to volunteer at a local homeless shelter, very enlightening.

Very cool professor. Her class is a lot of fun- we mostly sit around and talk a lot. I don't agree with everything she says, but that's what makes a critical thinking class productive.

I took her class about 3 years ago, and until now, she remains one of my favorite professors. Gives good comments on essays and is interested to what her students may say. You'll learn a lot.

I had her for both 100 and 101. She was pretty good overall. She's can be challenging but she's fair. She let me turn in an assignment late because I felt that the writing was bad, so she's nice. She can appear to be tuff at frist but she's not extremely tuff. And she's nice eye candy when you get bored...

Best instructor at OCC! She's comes off tough, but she's really personable and helpful. Classes mostly discussion based, read all assignments & prepare to share. I got an A, but had to work hard for it. She's awesome! I can't say it enough - I want to be Leigh Ann Weatherford! Best professor ever! Take her for any class!

somewhat of an easy class.. reads a lot of short stories.. goes through easy material in the textbook..gives you more time if u need to work on your paper to make it better... somewhat of an easy grader on papers, i always thought i did really well on a paper but end up doing alright.

Great class, I learned a lot from her. Make sure to go to class everyday, because you'll be screwed if you don't. You use the textbooks a lot, so buy them. Four essays, pretty simple if you follow her rules. She has a good sense of humor so use them in your essays to help you get on her good side.

She's cool for a prof. She's got four essays that increase in difficulty throughout the semester. Also assigns a bunch of readings from the books. MUST GET THE BOOKS AND BRING TO CLASS OR FAIL! Gotta show up to every class or you fail. Other than that, she's pretty cool.

Loved her! I am an english major, and loved every minute of her class. After taking her I knew that Eng/Lit were the subjects that I wanted to study! Plus she is adorable!!

Dude, the person who said the grades are only based on midterm/ final for eng 280 is totally wrong! Grades are fairly based on tests, quizzes, AND writing assignments. Class was good, awesome professor!

Fair professor. Reading material maybe a little dull for those who enjoy more contemporary works. It may seem like she picks favorites, but those people are usually the only ones who raise their hands. Assignments and tests don't seem that hard, but her grading is very tough. Be warned, you need effort to pass this class. Midterm grade is crucial.

I recommend taking her to everyone, I took 3 of her classes. Her composition classes require a lot of writing, it's amazing how much you learn without realizing it. Her lit classes are a bit harder because it's mostly reading and class discussion. Participate in the discussions! Take copious notes on everything! She's just a really awesome person

Not a bad teacher. She doesn't actually teach much to where you learn too much, this class was just more writing essays and writing related assignments. Mainly about making arguments. But still an easy class even if you don't learn much. She's laid back and grades pretty easy. Got an A in the class easily.

Very laid back teacher! she even curses here and there. you will have 4 essays. 5 reading quizzes. and 1 final group project. Attendance is mandatory if you want to do well in her class. participation counts as well. she is kind of a hard grader so pay attention. Show up on time and participate and pass all of your reading quizzes and you are fine!

A wonderful teacher if ever there was one. LeighAnn cares about her students and is always willing to help you out if you need help. I am waiting until the Fall to take English 285, just so I can have her as a teacher again. Take her if you want to enjoy your English experience.

You have to try hard in order to not receive an A, but it's not given away. She will make you a better writer. the essays, quizzes, discussions and assignments are straightforward. Just follow her simple directions and ask questions, and this class will be awesome.

I hate English and writing. In every English class I've ever been in, I cared less to write papers and do discussions and analysis's. However, Weatherford does an amazing job at making you love and enjoy writing. It's not easy but i can definitely say I enjoyed the work and her class. Wish she to=aught 101

Professor Weatherford is a great teacher, I took her for 099, 100, and 101. As long as you come to class prepared and try to use the writing styles she talks about in class you will do fine. The key to getting a good grade in her class and in all english classes is revise your papers multiple times. If you want to become a better writer take her.

I for one hate English, but Weatherford makes it interesting and fun for you to understand how to write essays. She is a tough grader but tells you what you need to work on to improve. I learned a lot from this class. 4 essays-1 debate or essay for final. Class went by fast as well. She is clever as well. Her essay's have a lot of requirements.

Her essay topics are very interesting but she is a hard grader. I recommend going to her office hours, she is very kind and loves to help her students. The class its self is fun and she cares about her students, even asks what day works better to turn in homework! 805

Professor Weatherford is OUTSTANDING! I've had her for English 99, 100, and I'm currently taking her for 101. She's so interactive and has this awesome connection with her students. Her grading is a little tough, but she pushes you to do well. Many students love her because of her unique humor. Take advantage of her office hours! She notices that!

I took professor Weatherford for eng 100 and 101! She is literally the best English professor that I've ever had! Her essay prompts and the books / text she chooses are very interesting! If you're not a strong writer she is always available during office hours to help! Believe me, if you put in the effort you can get an A easily! She also rounds!

Typically I dread writing 6 page essays, but I was always so excited to write for this class because the topics were so interesting. She is a tough grader, but she is also fair. She offers help in class, as well as in her office hours. We only needed 2 books and they were just a few bucks each. I would highly recommend Prof. Weatherford!

Going into this class, my initial thought was I just needed this for my GE. I thought I would DREAD this class, but it turns out I really enjoyed it! Very lenient on letting you re-write essays if you go to her office hours. She made class enjoyable and entertaining!!! 10/10, would take again.

The material we learned in this class was interesting. However there is no rhyme or reason to how she grades. No breakdown showing what she will deduct pts for. She does get political in class which can get a bit uncomfortable if you aren't a Democrat. There is no need for that in an English class... Overall though she is a great prof. though.

Don't let her syllabus fool you, she's very nice and caring if you email her about your absences. Very pleasant, and willing to help everyone in any possible way, even if it's adjusting her own schedule.

I'm a good writer and very picky about teachers. English professors tend to give out far more work than they should. Ms. Weatherford realizes this and is very generous when it comes to necessary essay extensions. I ended up with a B only because of lack of participation in the online discussions. Participate and show effort. An easy A.

She gives you lots of time to work on assignments in class. Essays assigned are usually short in length but she cares about the content. You read short stories for the most part and practice lots of analysis. You do a lot of group work/discussion which isnt so bad but make sure you participate often

I loved this class; it was very informational and improved my writing tremendously. It is very easy to get an A and if you don't quite understand a subject she will help you. I will be looking back at this courses material for the future because of the great work and handouts she provides that really help you write a good paper.

Great teacher for 101, I suggest taking her because she really does make you a better writer. I recommend going to her office hour. she is clear on what she wants on her essay, you just have to look beyond the text.

a really great professor! i really enjoyed her class. the class is based on reading fictional stories and analyzing them. you will even watch films in class and analyze them as well. she is very nice and is willing to help. her essays are not too hard but I definitely recommend going to her office hours to have her read your draft! it rlly helps.

As I was going into to this class I was kind of nervous just because of what I read on this website, but I was pleasantly surprised how easy her class was if you come to class and follow her directions. All I would say is, if you listen to her feedback on your essays EVEN if it doesnt make sense to you, youll get at least a B. Great teacher !

Professor Weatherford is one of the best professors at OCC! Shes very informative. If you apply yourself, youll actually come out of this course as a much better writer. I wouldnt call this an easy A, but do the work and put in the effort and youll pass the class.

I took professor Weatherfords ENG100 hybrid class (half zoom meetings, half online) over Summer and I genuinely really enjoyed her class! You dont need a text book, she provides all of the readings for you which I thought was great. The class is very interesting and easy to follow. I loved that the course was centered around comedy & satire.

I took Professor Weatherford for two semesters of English. She is hands down the best teacher I've ever had. She truly cares about her students and is extremely understanding. She is who I have to thank for becoming a better writer. She is always looking to help her students and she's funny too!

Mrs. Weatherford is a teacher who actually cares for her students. Her class may have a heavier workload to some (4 essays for the semester and discussions throughout the week), but its all for a reason - to make you a better writer. I highly suggest taking her class, she tells you exactly what she expects from you and really wants you to succeed!

Makes class fun and engaging, really tires to connect with students which is super hard in an online class. Not too much work, reading material was interesting. Super fair grader. I wrote a paper on a very sensitive and personal event and she took the time to give amazing compassionate feedback. Attend the conferences- your writing will improve.

Professor Weatherford makes it very clear from the very beginning what she expects from the class and the level of effort needed. Discussions are a huge part of the class. As long as you do the work make an effort to succeed, this class should not be difficult. She gives you a lot of opportunities to meet with her and gives great feedback.

I took Prof. Weatherford's spring class and I could not recommend her enough. While there is a lot of work, it is all beneficial to the main 3 essays and 2 group projects. The clear criteria/feedback that she provides is so helpful to becoming a stronger writer and more critical reader. If you have the opportunity to take one of her classes do it!!

The texts and topics that we covered in this class were actually so interesting unlike many other college english classes. I feel like they were very relevant, making it easier to write essays or assignments on. Incredible class and incredible professor. Show up, participate, genuinely try on the assignments, and you're set for a great semester.

Lectures were never boring. She chose material that was relevant and that we could possibly relate to in some way. Provides helpful feedback for essays and assignments. Can get a little nit-picky when grading essays but most of the time the things she marks you down for are things she had already mentioned you should take note of.

Professor Weatherford was amazing. I have never liked English but had a lot of fun in this class. Grading is pretty tough, not sure 100% is possible but that's to be expected in an English class. I have taken Professor Weatherford for both English 100 & 101. She is by far one of my favorite professors at OCC. I feel like she is a tough grader only because she is just trying to get the best out of you and your writing skills. If you approach the class putting 100% effort into it, she will match that effort & reward it.

Class consisted of one contemporary novel, lots of movies, Black Mirror episodes and short stories. She keeps things interesting, and I definitely felt I was able to analyze media a lot better by the end of class. Grades are based on quizzes, 1 exam and 2 papers. She's not an easy grader, but I came out of her class a better writer.

Professor Weatherford is super kind and made the class really enjoyable. We watched and read a bunch stuff. The open-note essays and exams were pretty easy. I'm not a great writer but still did well, so grading felt fair. If you show up and try, you'll do fine.

She taught well and effectively because her lessons were interactive with students and encouraged collaboration. What I learned helped prepare me for English 101. This is a 100% no AI class, and you must complete the in-class essays within the class. Please do not hesitate to visit her office hours if you need an explanation on an assignment.

I genuinely think anyone who rated her below a 3 used Ai, didn't participate, or is lazy. Professor Weatherford's class kept me engaged and excited for the next class. The work was fair and reasonable. The projects were fun and collaborative. I have nothing but good things to say. She is genuine and empathetic.
