Dr. Hurley is one of the best teachers that I have had. She is not always completely clear, but she will answer any question without making you feel stupid. Definitly a teacher worth taking. No one in my class disliked her one bit.

A great teacher. Well worth your time to take her. She really knows her stuff and is always willing to help. Her tests are challeging, but with study they can be A's. She is very fair.

This instrutor is so easy. I did not study for the midterm nor the final and manage to get a "B" in her class.

Mrs. Hurley is a great teacher. She's very easy to understand. Her tests come completely from her class notes, so study those. Your grade is based on tests only, but she does give extra credit opportunities. Overall, she's a great teacher.

I was retaking this class after getting an F with Dr. Gingrich. In contrast with Dr. G's ppt teaching, Dr Hurley actually teaches you the material. I didn't have to study much, because I LEARNED it in class. She makes it interesting and is very concerned with helping students succeed.

Great teacher, fun subject, she loves her work. Took on a reccomend by Brightman, glad I did. Listen in class and the tests are a snap. She posts the entire semester of notes on her web page (about 40 pages typed). Final test is taken from the three other tests she gives WORD FOR WORD, great lab instructer too.

nice great teacher.renewed her tests. now multiple choice with extra credit. 3 tests 1 final if you take all 4 tests she drops lowests test grade. 1 non-paper, meanin g you go to a park answer some questions in complet sentences and thats that. NO book use. Dont even bother. Print already made notes off her website. I love this class.

She has interesting lectures but wants you to know everything for exams, says if you don't know it you could kill a patient. Must read all the chapters and powerpoints. 5 exams, lowest dropped, doesn't do reviews.

She is amazing! She expects you to know what you are talking about when you get into your field and anyone trying to take the easy way out will not fly with her. She is fair and all of her exams and practicals do have extra credit! Just know your stuff and you will do fine! If you are going to the medical field.. not the class you want to slack in!

Very nice lady. Relates complicated concepts to simple relative things in everyday life. It has been a difficult class though so be prepared to spend a lot of time studying this stuff. This is Anatomy and Physiology so what would you expect.

I had her for A&P1 Lab. She is very helpful and a funny lady. She will go over and over something until you understand it. She makes this hard class interesting and is a great teacher! Pay attention and ask questions and you'll do great. I never went to an open lab and got an A. Does require a lot of studying though, but it pays off.

I will say this before all: REALLY HARD TESTS. Questions are very well elaborated,but for students of a doctor school, maybe. 100 question in 75 minutes. Gives extra points on tests. Explain difficult topics with everyday situations. Really good teacher if you are interested on the topic. Loves what she does. Great for lab.

Funny and willing to help every student. you must really know the material to get good grade. IP lectures are boring. Rather have her explaining.

I had Dr. Hurley for BSC 2085L and BSC 2086L and I will miss her terribly. She can be very hard but is a passionate teacher. We could ask anything and she always offers up an explanation. Dr. Hurley is extremely funny, I never wanted to miss it. There is a lot of studying to do and staying current is key. Must be a good student to get an A.

Great teacher! She is very passionate and entertaining.. She knows how to break things down so you can understand and logically put stuff together.. This class is a hard class.. MUST STUDY! But you can get an A. No homework.. lots of quizzes with muilt. tries and 5 Exams but she drops your lowest.

Dr. Hurley is a tough teacher but she is more than willing to help. I took a&p I with her as well as a&p II. she gives multiple tries for quizzes and they are much harder than her test. I would def suggest anyone taking BOTH anatomy classes with her. you must bukle down and study hard!

Dr. Hurley is one of the best teachers I've ever had! She's so hilarious and is up front about the amount of work it takes to succeed in her class. If you study your butt off, you will pass. Multiple tries on quizzes, q&a session with her and so much more help is provided :) good luck!

Very Good Professor! you are going to have to work for your grade but she gives the fair opportunity to get a good grade. You get a index card to cram as much stuff on there as possible for the exams and she provides slides for the visual learners. I would definantly recommend her!

Amazing professor.

She is good but she has an unprofessional behavior which I never expect from a professor. She sometimes tries to convince students that one of the lab instructors does not know how to teach! Actually she is not right. Keep in mind if you have lab with another instructor, do not let her negative words affect you.

Nice lady but SLOW and I mean SLOW teacher. My lab class was about 2 chapters ahead the entire time. It really would have been helpful if she sped up a little. Over all the class was okay. Did plenty of self learning for lab though.

Dr. Hurley definitely knows her stuff when it comes to teaching AP. Although she was a little disorganized this semester you won't find another instructor who will make so much sense of nothing. Her teaching style is highly conceptual so be ready to UNDERSTAND...NOT MEMORIZE. Plus shes hilarious.LOL. Study well for her tests, however, it's FAIR A.

Explains everything in great detail so that everyone understands subject matter. Uses funny examples to help you remember important concepts. Gives ample opportunity to excel with online activities, comes in to class early to spend time going over questions to help those with test anxiety. Can't say enough about her. One of my favorite professors!

Dr. Hurley is very knowledgeable in her field, lectures are clear with great examples so you actually understand, however does NOT reply to emails EVER, takes forever to post grades, and her online quizzes are confusing. Tests are hard - 100 questions on each. STUDY!!

Seriously, genuinely enjoyed having her as my professor. She's very well educated about the subject and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure that you do well in her class. The course is difficult but she provides you with loads of ways to study, including leading study groups, and putting up study guides.

Awesome professor! Well educated, clear expectations, and cares about you passing! Four exams and a cumulative final. Quizzes and Mastering A&P assignments that you have all semester to get done. Possible extra credit. Tests are NOT easy, 100 questions each and continuously cumulative. Difficult course but VERY possible to get an A!!

Class isn't mandatory, there's a sign in sheet but there's no point deduction. Notes are powerpoints and she's very clear on what we need to know. If you don't want to put in the effort, you won't do well in this class. Each test has 15-20 bonus points which help boost your grade!

Hurley is AMAZING! I am looking forward to taking her again for A&P2 next semester. She always offers review sessions for practicals and there are always extra questions on the practical to give you over 100 points to help build up extra points in your average in case you bomb one exam. Great professor and highly recommend!

Awesome teacher, has extra credit, quizzes are done online unless class attendance is low, then she might do a pop quiz or have those that are in attendance to say attendance sheet for extra credit, at least two test were at home un-timed, willing to work with you only if you are putting forth the effort. Highly recommended

Easy A! Do a quick review before the practical and your fine! She makes the practicals seem so much harder than they are. Provides extra credit. The only downside is that the lab is more like a lecture! We've only done two hands on labs the entire semester.

I've taken Hurley for AP1 and 2. She is amazing! Spends time in the LC for tutoring if needed, gives good exam reviews, uses easy to understand examples. Extra credit for attendance. Extra credit for doing all of Pearsons. Drops lowest quiz grade. If you need extra help, she is always there. Lab practicals are fair, and always have extra credit.

She's an awesome professor who really wants her students to learn. She breaks down tough concepts into digestible pieces. There is lots of homework, but it's repetitive and reinforces the material well. Very personable and makes every effort to make the lectures both interesting and informative.

I've taken Dr. Hurley for BSC2085 & Lab, and BSC2086 & Lab. She is a fantastic teacher. She may sometimes get off track, but GO TO CLASS and listen. She hosts extremely helpful study groups for all of her classes. Do your MAP assignments. If you apply yourself, you will pass with flying colors.

I took her over the summer. Very helpful. She was a pretty chill instructor, sometimes she let us do work from other classes while she talked. We only had 1 test in-class, other 2 are online and half the final was a 3-5 page paper. She does go off topic a lot during lectures. For a summer class, it wasn't that bad. Overall, I recommend taking her!

Professor Hurley is amazing! There is a lot of homework online in Mastering A&P, but it is not due until the end of the semester, so you have a lot of time to complete it. Tests are online and she has a midterm and a final. She does NOT trick you at all! Great at explaining the material and is really easy. Gives a lot of extra credit on tests too!

I had this professor for Anatomy & Physiology 1 and 2, Lecture and Lab. She is an absolutely incredible teacher. It's a very tough subject and her lecture exams are difficult, but if you actually take the time to go over all her powerpoints and your notes and learn the material, you'll pass. Go play with all the models for lab! They really help!!

Prof Hurley is a great, down to earth professor. She can be a little unorganized, so stay on top of your assignments and grades and youll do fine. Theres a lot of material to cover in A&P, so studying is a must! She doesn't take herself too seriously and is willing to help whenever need be.

Had Dr. Hurley for A&P 2 lab... the way she taught was purposeful. She didn't just identify she explained why things had specific names and what those meanings meant. Further, her tests were around 56-58 questions a piece for a total of 112-116% each test. That's a lot of extra credit! Not an easy class but a great professor.

Dr. Hurley is an amazing professor who really does care about her students. She's very funny and makes taking AP seem easy (since in general its a hard class). I have her for both AP1 lecture and lab and I couldn't ask for a more amazing teacher. She also gives out online quizzes and assessments and uses a few questions from there for her tests.

Hurley is a great professor! She not only wants to teach her students, but she cares about your educational experience overall! She's very practical, and shes super funny. I took her during the summer, and do not procrastinate on your homework assignments, they'll kill you! Anatomy is hard, but Hurley helps you gain a better understanding of it.

Dr Hurley is the best teacher I have ever had. I love going to class to learn, because she makes learning so exciting that I hate to miss her lectures. Her method of teaching makes learning much smoother, that I don't even feel the time pass while he's lecturing, even though this is a hard class ! Too bad I cant take her next semester.

She seems really passionate about her teachings, but she's also a little scatter brained. You sign a blank piece of paper every class for attendance which seems a little unreliable. All tests (minus the midterm and final), quizzes, and homework were all online. However, she closed the mycourses before I could see final grade :(

She's a great professor all lab quizzes are online you have 3-5 tries to pass them and they are not due until the end of the semester! It takes her forever to put grades in but I really enjoy her class.

Biochem is among the tougher courses in the biology program, but Dr. Hurley made it understandable by providing anecdotes that related to real-life examples and clear exam expectations. Extra credit opportunities were given, but you had to earn it. There was one term paper, some homework and quizzes in addition to the 5 exams. I would recommend her

ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER! Took her for Anatomy lab and lecture 1 and 2, and nutrition. She will help you with anything you need and give you advice for anything you ask for. I will miss her next year!

Professor Hurley is by far the best teacher I've had in my history of being a student. I wen into A & P 1 very nervous and stressed out and she makes every single class a breeze. She is super knowledgeable and presents the information in a funny and relating way. I would recommend her for anyone.

The best you will ever take, i took colin everheart before her and he was terrible i didnt understand crap but shes by far the best and i was able to pass with an A. Drops one of her exams and test and 2 or 3 quizes i forget, and if u do all her extra credit and you pass with A 100% if i did it anyone can. shes the best

Professor Hurley has an answer for every question. She really knows the material. The only bad thing about her class is you do not know your grade until the very end of the semester. She is very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend.

Hurley is just great. I took her nutrition class because I needed it for nursing school and lets just say if you do the work and show up, its an easy A. There are about 3 3 day diet analysis's, the midterm/final are online (you can use the book), a book report and a research paper (both super clear and maybe 2 pages) Overall hilarious lectures.

Loved her!!! Took her for A&P 1 lecture(A) and lab(B). A bit scatterbrained but knows the material very well. Gives lots of extra credit opportunities that it feels almost impossible to fail. Helps her students in anyway she that she can. Would take and recommend Hurley to other students.

She is an amazing professor! One of the best I've had so far at SPC. All of her tests are online, no quizzes, one paper at the end of the semester (easy). And there is a midterm and and final that are proctored in class. She gives a TON of extra credit. She explains the material thoroughly and she is very nice and funny. Take her!

Professor Hurleys class was one of the best I have taken at SPC. She is clear about what is expected of you and gives you all the information you need to succeed. A few online quizzes/assignments, 1 paper, extra credit, an in-class midterm and final that are not unreasonable if you put in the time and pay attention in lectures. Would recommend!!

She is a remarkable professor, I took her lab also. She knows this stuff inside and out. This is a heavy class, you will have to study and put in a lot of time self teaching to gain a full conceptual understanding of the material. No professor is going to change that fact, however Hurley bends backwards for her students. She wants you to succeed.

This professor is passionate to teach about the human anatomy and physiology. I recommend to take advantage of her extra credit , so you can pass her class. Her assignment is a lot but it is simple to complete.

Professor Hurley is very passionate about A&P. It is a tough class but you will be very knowledgeable in the subject. Studying and attending class is mandatory. She assigns a lot of work that is all due at the end of the semester. Do not recommend if you are a procrastinator. She is also hilarious!

Took Hurley for nutrition, HUN 1201. She is awesome! Really knows her stuff. She makes the class fun and interesting. Great lectures. 2 group projects, pearson homework online, 2 papers at the end of the semester.

I love Dr. Hurley!! She is so caring and down to earth. Easily one of my fav professors. Come to class, do your work, and you no doubt will pass. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities. One thing I will note: I would not take this class if you are seriously considering going into the health field. You won't be challenged to do your best.

I took Hurley for AP1&2 (lectures & labs). She is by far the best AP prof. Her class is not hard, but you have to study! Midterm and final arent hard if you study for them. Her lab practicals are the same; theyre easy if you study. She will answer any question you have. There is a lot of work, but its doable. Wonderful prof and person. 10/10

Definitely made the subject manageable. Class is setup so you basically cannot fail, tons of extra credit, daily attendance and 3 exams (no final). Very fair, but the material of biochem is just difficult/boring.

I had to work a little harder than others considering I've never taken a bio or chem class in my life. Lecture heavy and skipped chapters of things you're expected to had learn in previous classes. Crazy amount of extra credit so take advantage of that. Do all the online work, short research paper, and a midterm/final that you'll want to study for.

I was so nervous to take A&P II over the summer but from the first class I felt so much better and she really cares about her students succeeding. I highly recommend taking her. She gives so much extra credit, but with that being said you still need to do your work and spend time studying.

I took Dr. Hurley for API over the summer and I absolutely love her!!! She is by far one of the best professors I have ever had, and she is very knowledgable and passionate about teaching this class. She was very accessible to explain things after class, and she offered so many opportunities for extra credit! I would definitely take her class again

Hurley is by far the best professor i've had in my college experience. I have her for lecture and lab. She gives you so much information and so many tools that no matter your learning style, you will succeed. if you fail this class it is your own fault. she funny in her lectures and makes sure everyone is in full understanding before she moves on.

I liked her class, she offers lots of extra credit opportunities. Her lectures aren't bad but I do wish she would ask the class questions to see if we actually understand, she usually says "does that make sense" and moves on. Be prepared to do A LOT of homework. She is very nice and gives you lots of study guides, which is very helpful for exams.

Other than getting sidetracked throughout class, her lectures are not bad. She is pretty funny and keeps it light. Very firm when setting deadlines and on her grading criteria. She offers A LOT of extra credit. You really have to study for quizzes and exams to get an A but the testing is fair.

Dr. Hurley was nothing but kind, but the course on MyCourses was, at times, difficult to navigate. She is, however, very accessible outside of class and was very helpful during a hard time I had personally in the semester, even reaching out to offer mental health resources. Lots of writing work but otherwise, easy class.

Really nice professor. It's clear she enjoys teaching anatomy. Lectures were long but she'd do her best to explain the concepts in a way that would be easy to remember. Majority of the assignments are done online through Pearson's and if you didn't do well on some, extra credit was automatically offered. Research paper at the end was easy as well.

Professor Hurley is great! She takes a very hard subject matter and gives you chance after chance to bring your grade up. Her class emails are hilarious, and she works with the class quite a bit to overcome any technological obstacles thrown their way.

Professor Hurley has clear expectations and tests are challenging, but she offers ample extra credit and flexible homework deadlines. Engaging lectures and practical knowledge make this course worthwhile. I found unstuck study a helpful supplement to the textbook.
