This is an excellent instructor!!You work off an outline...so there are no surprises. She came from GVSU...they can have Drain back but not her! Her class was wonderful. She didn't give you every little detail, just the basics. She relates it to everyday life. She is a very happy person, and is really relaxed when it comes to everything. Except if you have her for lab, you have to spell everything correctly. Otherwise she is great!

Professor Klienert is one of the best profs I have had. The BI121 and 122 classes are intense. Leigh's class is straight forward and organized. She has great ways of turning something confusing into something understandable. She also really cares about how her students do, so she was great!

I dont think you'll get an easy "a" but if you do your part such as study and use her powerpoint notes you will indeed pass!

This is a very good proessor.She makes everything crystal clear by using different ways of teaching. She draws pictures of different things, plays games, does alot of group work. I hope to have her for BI 122 also.

Best techer you could have! It is my third time having her as a teacher, and I would again if I could. She gives you outlines to follow and Learning Objectives to follow for test studying. She welcomes you to come for extra help if needed. Now undersatnd, the material is hard, but she does everything possible to help you learn it. Time is needed

Kleinert is amazing!!...she is sooo helpful and hilarious!! she loves animations,..and she repeats things she will be putting on the test. for the essays just do them all each night and then you will be fine. Of course check it with her to make sure u did them right. Her notes are so easy to follow..and shes a hoot!

Professor Leigh is amazing! She is not only an amazing teacher who knows her stuff, but is the most caring, kindhearted, and understanding person. Biology isn't one of my strongest subjects but if you go to class, pay attention, take notes, and study you will do just fine! Take her lab too! Helpful and easy to understand.

She is so nice. I really recommend her. She explains everything in detail, draws out whats happening and play little videos for the visual. She does not use the textbook in lecture or lab, but it might be helpful for lab. And for her tests, use the learning objectives as a study guide and know the answers to "questions to ponder".

She is absolutely amazing! super sweet and makes her lectures very clear. She will always direct you to what is on the quizzes and tests and is easy going. I would defiantly take her again. This class (anatomy) does involve a good about of work but she makes it fun and reasonable. I had her for both lecture and lab.

She was an amazing teacher, I love anatomy so I'm really glad the teacher didn't ruin the subject for me like multiply teachers in the pass. I had Leigh for the lab of BI117. She was absolutely amazing, making a difficult topic easy to understand. She has a great energy, and was able to explain and answer any questions anyone may have had. Attendance is mandatory as it is only once a week, but it's not bad at all. I would gladly take her in any future classes.

I recommend taking Prof Leigh Kleinert's A&P, she makes the subject less overwhelming and more interesting. She makes it clear as to how her tests are laid out and what materials are to be studied. She doesn't give out graded homework but setting aside a few hours of studying per week is to your advantage! She is truly amazing and knowledgeable.

I took a chance on these reviews and signed up for both Lab and Lecture for 117 with her. It was the right choice. She's engaging and cares about you understanding the material. I struggled in 121 and had to go back to the beginners course. She made me confident that I can take on the harder biology course and then some. She's worth taking 100%

I love professor Kleinert and would definitely take her again. Shes so down to earth and understanding and really cares for her students. I took her class in the fall of 2019. She is great! Outlines her lectures and has great study guides for tests. You will know what is exactly on the exams. She uses visual aids to help understand concepts. Her classes always fill up fast, so I didn't have the opportunity to take her for the second half of A&P. If she ever has openings, take it!

Professor K recently underwent teaching the HNRS capstone course and she absolutely fits the role.
