She is a good teacher! She is kind of picky about your essays.

She is a good teacher and explains your papers well. Not a lot of work at all for her class, just essay's and journals.

She's a good teacher very helpful. Her class requires a lot of work though Three to four portfolios with 2 papers in each. If English is not your best subject I would advise getting a easier teacher.

i was horrible at english in high school. i made c's and d's. but in mrs. camacho's class i made a B. she is always willing to help. I would take this as my english 101 class...you will do great

Great teacher. I highly recommend her. She was very clear with assignments and made herself very available to students who needed help.

She's a little out there, but keeps the class easy going because of it. She's funny and relaxed, very easy to go to if you need any help.

Certainly one of my favorite instructors. As the others have said, she's very easy to approach, and though it is a lot of work, you will get a lot out of it. And sure, she's kinda weird, but it's fun and part of her charm. I'd definitely recommend taking her. :)

Very creative teacher and full of energy. She is different and will keep you interested. If you attend class regularly and listen, you will be fine. The paper subjects were not difficult and I loved that class. Definitely recommend her! Im taking her for English 102!!

At first she might come off as a hard grader and all but trust thats just talk so do not withdraw from the class...she does grade kind of hard but i mean you have a lot of oppurtunites to reveiw your papers for better gades...just come to class, listen, and do what your assigned to do and i promise you will not have lower than a C....

She is NOT the devil. On the contrary, she is probably one of the best intructors on staff at the university. She tells you exactly what she wants from you, her door is ALWAYS open for any matter and she wants to see everyone come out a better person than what they entered. Be prepared to work, but also to leave w/ a real appreciation for writing.

This class is very difficult. You have to put alot into your papers or don't expect any points to be just given away. She also is very sarcastic when you meet with her to go over papers. i personally decided not to go back for help after one session of basically being mad fun of for my poor writing skills. unless your super smart. Don't take her!!!

Mrs. Camacho is an amazing english teacher, especially for freshmen. She taught me in 101 and i made an A. Then again in 102 and made a B. She is wonderful and always keeps you entertained! She is very nice and down to earth. I def recommend her to anyone!

I had her for 101 and 102. She is not easy but is fair. She is tough but will definitely help you pass the proficiency. I hate english so i was pretty happy with my grade, C. Basically, you get what you put in. I would definitely recommend her.

Really good teacher. Like everyone else says, she's pretty tough, but she really helps you out with everything and you will definitely be better at English after you take her. Just go to class, do the work, and you'll be fine.

If you're looking for the easiest English 101 instructor, she is not your answer. She was clear for what she wanted for her assignments, and her door is open to all questions. But some of the essay topics were kind of out there, and she doesn't grade your essay that easily.

She's a hard grader and difficult teacher, but there's still no reason why you shouldn't pass this class. She is always willing to offer you any help with your papers. She is very brillant so you might feel a little stupid in her class at times, but it's worth it. You will actually learn how to write better papers and have a better thinking process

Overly strict on essays. little home work. very helpful when you need her. can be totally rude. not worth taking if you are not an english major. horrible experience with her, but you WILL learn the material.

She is VERY helpful. Her grading is sort of strict, but it has prepared me for 102( I am taking her again.) I reccommend. =o))

Mrs. Rourks was great. She is VERY helpful. All you have to do is ask and she'll meet you in her office and go over anything you have trouble with. If you really think her class is that hard, it's only because you aren't willing to put in a little effort. (And you might want to get used to that since you're in COLLEGE!)

She makes sure you understand the assignment. She can be hard at times but, only bec. she's want all of her students to pass the proficiency.

I took her for 101 and 102. She is an incredible teacher. I learned so much from her. I think without her I would have been lost. She is helpful but tough. I recommend her. I have since transferred schools and we still keep in touch.

You will learn how to properly write a paper that makes sense and communicates effectively what you have to say. Not easy if you blow off class but excellant if you really want to learn.

Mrs. Rourks' class was my hardest, and most challenging. She has high expectations for your papers, and you will LEARN A LOT form her. I am not a strong english student, nor do i like to write. But Mrs. Rourks will equip you with everything you need to pass the proficiency exam and then some. Strong teacher, loves what she does,and willing to help.

Great teacher. I loved her. I'm not a paper writer and with her I got my first A on a paper ever. She's very helpful and you can learn so much from her. As a person she is great too. I'm taking her for American Literature and for once and not entirely bummed that I have to take an English class.

She isn't an easy teacher, but she challenges you and your ideas which is a reason why people do not like her. She is really helpful as long as you are organized and willing to learn. She gives you ways to get extra credit and raise your grade. Plus, she's a nice person. The only thing is she is really slow on handing back papers. I would reccomend

Mrs. Rourks is one of the best English professors at Southeastern. She will challenge you, so you WILL have to work. Go to class, pay attention, ask questions, and above all, put some thought into your work (you will not pass her class by simply throwing something together a couple of days before it's due). Loved her, would take her again!

She is helpful but is so unorganized! She always has "problems" on her computer which makes her not post assignments or grades.

She grades pretty strict but she is willing to help you improve. She does not post grades until the VERY END of the semester which is aggravating. Overall great teacher, just a little scatter brained.

She is very unorganized and waits til the end of the semester to input grades. She is a great writer and knows how to teach english. She only helps those who wants help and asks for it. Miss Rourks is an extremely amazing teacher.She's always willing to help, where she will give you direct help on your papers.You do not have to take notes, but if you want that A, you may as well take the few she gives you. She does not give busy work, everything she does is for a reason. Its impossible to not succeed here.

My first A in English.

She is so kind and she is a great teacher. She is wonderful at explaining the concepts in the readings. We used the textbook often but all the readings were interesting and not too difficult. I would recommend her to anyone who has to take English 232.

I never liked taking English before Mrs. Rourks. She explains everything to the detail to make the themes tie together. She's very helpful outside and inside of class. She's very open to all opinions and doesn't force hers down your throat. Very insightful and hilarious. I definitely recommend her for ANY English class. A must have professor.

She was awesome. I struggled with college, in the beginning and she noticed. She encouraged me to stay in college. She always tell me I can do it, even though I'm not in her class anymore. She is awesome, take her.

Ms. Rourks was extremely helpful and has a passion for literature. You can expect a good bit of text book readings, but Ms. Rourks does a great job at helping you understand the readings. She is willing to help her students. If you take her class you will gain a greater appreciation for literature through her humor and knowledge.

I love this teacher! She is unbelievably good at what she does. She is super helpful for those students who seek help. She doesn't help people who are lazy or don't care about their grades. If you are honestly trying in her class she will go out of her way to help you. This is a hard course if you aren't into writing but it's not impossible.

Mrs. Rourks is a great teacher! I'd recommend her to anyone taking ENG 232 without hesitation. I'm not really the literature type, but she really had great discussions that engaged me into what was read. She was lenient on pretty much everything (Grades, Journals, etc...) and her tests were pretty straight forward.

Even though she is not an easy teacher, you will walk out of that class with more confidence in your writing. I was a horrible writer in high school, and she has made confidence in writing and my writing much better. If you are struggling, she will understand ONLY if you reach out and talk to her. SIMPLE AND EASY, TAKE HER. you won't regret it.. :)

Anyone who complains about this teacher: welcome to college, its time to follow the teachers instructions. If you do not, exxpect to do poorly. But she is absolutely amazing and passionate. She's helpful and makes sure you understand everything. I have taken this lady for three different classes. Epic woman!

She is a great professor she reminds me of a high school teacher that is very nice and like to crack jokes. She is lazy but it can be beneficial because the readings take a lot of analyzing. overall, take her.

She helps out a lot, especially if you go to her office hours. She don't cancel class, and you have a EASY quiz every class (open notes)! She doesn't grade too hard on essays, but she does make it a challenge. I would recommend taking her class. She's fun, easy, and makes English somewhat fun.
