Accounting is like any class, you have to do the work yourself. Just because her tests are multiple choice dont expect them to be easy. You have to work outside of class alot but she will help out. She can be a teenage girl sometimes....

She is one of the best teachers at TnTech.... Always very well dressed.

She's not always crystal clear and needs correcting sometimes. However, she is all about the students. She really wants you to get a good grade and she tries very hard. She's also hot! And dresses very pretty every day! She's very nice.

Great class, wonderful teacher. She will help you outside class, but if you go to class and pay attention you won't need that much help. Tests aren't hard, but tricky. You can't just know the definitions, you have to know the THEORY behind the material to get a good grade. Partial credit lives!!

Leigh was by far one of the best teachers I have had at Tech, and that is saying alot since she teaches Accounting and I cared nothing about the class. I would highly recommend her to anyone taking accounting.

Hard Class, but she teaches it great. Really Cares (she even does study sessions outside of class, which I thought was really nice). Final was a killer (all 14 Chapters) but the other test were "studyable" and what you expect.

This class was the hardest class I've ever had. I studied SO much, but it really paid off. Her tests are hard, and you really have to study. She'll do anything to help you, though; she also really cares about each student.

Great Teacher. She was the one of the reasons I changed majors to accouting. I really enjoyed the class and she really cares about her students doing well. She tries her hardest to make accounting as interesting as possible. a C is certainly obtainable and an A/B if you put some effort into it. Take Waggoner for Accounting!

She is a very great professor, she is very clear about what you should know, not only for her class and tests but for the world. She is a very bright and intelligent woman. Her class is pretty easy, just show up to get attendance credit and you turn in homework that doesnt even have to be right, but you get credit for it, but her tests are hard.

Covers material well and goes kind of fast. She emails you every presentation which makes studying much easier. Tests are not that bad. She will curve and give points if a majority of the class misses a test question. Great teacher.

i LOVED mrs wagoner.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED interesting and very good at explaining. Willing to help if you have trouble.There are spreadsheets for each chapter but as long as you attempt them you get credit. Tests are hard but fair. You def. have to study but grade very attainable

Ms. Waggoner was a pleasure to have as a professor. She's clear about what she expects, explains everything you'll need to know, and goes over each homework problem in class. If you attend, focus, and prepare yourself, you'll be fine. Tests are difficult, but open book and you have a week to complete them. Any questions you have, just ask!

Not an easy class, lost of homework, very hard tests but they are all take home and she gives you a week to complete it. I liked the class. show up, do the homework and it is no problem.

I love Ms. Wagoner! Her class is not difficult. Her lectures always make the material easier to understand. Pay attention, do the assignments and show up. Always helpful. Tests are not memorization. Emphasis on learning how to solve the problem. Take this class!

Such a nice teacher, but will only help you out if you've read the chapters. She's very good at explaining lessons, and she's very honest at telling you how to get an A. If you can't handle this class, then accounting shouldn't be your major. One of my favorites in the business dept. Tests aren't easy, so study several practice problems before!

She is really nice and helpful. Study hard, do all homework problems and work practice problems. The exams a re a little more vague and obscure. Master the material and the exams will be no problem. I failed the first exam and ended up with a B in the course. Not a easy liberal arts class. You earn what you work for. Overall, I would reccomend her

Wag is tough there is no way around that, but she is not impossible. I think she try's to get all of the students who don't really care out after the first test because the first test is extremely challenging. But stick with it. Put the effort in and you will succeed. I bombed the first test and still pulled a B. She knows her stuff.

Great teacher. Teaches the material in a way you can understand. The tests are hard. Requires coming to class, doing the work, and studying hard to do good. She is willing to help if you ask.

She's super nice, willing to go over the material with you until you understand it. She does move kinda fast through the material in class though. She tells you straight out that you will fail the first test but dont let that discourage you, she gives extra credit if you do bad and the second test is easy. And all the homework is online.

Ms. Waggoner is an awesome professor! She does a great job explaining the concepts and demonstrating how to work the problems. If you take notes and follow along in class, and do the practice problems before the test, you will do well. It's not the easiest class, but definitely not the hardest either.

Professor Wagoner is a very good teacher. She is very clear on what she expects you to know for the tests, and gives lots of practice problems. She encourages you to spend an hour every night practicing (haha). If you put forth the effort, you can get the grade. She curves all the tests, and is there to help.

Waggoner knows her stuff. I am not an accounting major and personally hate accounting but she made the class interesting. Im not saying shes not tough because she is but its not impossible to pass her class if you just go to class and pay attention to every detail. You also have to do alot of learnsmarts and homework thats the only downside.

Waggoner is a great professor. She expects a lot out of her students, so be sure to study a lot for the exams. I'm not an acct major and she made me love the class even though I had to work hard for my A. She replaces your lowest exam score with your final exam score if it is higher, so don't worry if you fail her first exam. I did and I got an A

Wagoner expects a whole lot out of you. You MUST study in this class and put forth effort. If you do that you will be fine. She is a wonderful teacher that is willing to help. She is nice and rarely keeps you in class the entire time. Take her.

Wagoner is a great teacher for accounting. She knows her stuff when it comes to accounting. She will get boring with her lectures, but she went over our homework in class, and all the tests except the final are online. If you are looking for a class where you dont have alot of homework, somewhat easy, and have a teacher that cares then take her.

Mrs. Waggoner made this class easier to understand. If you had problems, she was easy to get a hold of and would meet you to help. You have homework assignments, but she pulls them up in class before the due date to go over it. She does take attendance.

If you don't take Waggoner for Accounting you are wrong. She is super sweet, and helpful and doesn't want anybody to get a bad grade. She curved all of the tests by 10-15 points. Is it easy? I only went on to class on exam days and made an A.

I had a very difficult time in accounting 1 with the material. Once I got into accounting 2, I was worried. But this prof. was amazing. She will go above and beyond to help you get the grade you want. You do have to put in effort because the material is hard but I wouldn't take accounting with any other professor! Gave you an old exam to study with

She's a wonderful professor. Super understanding. While there is tons of work, she gives you the answers before it's due. She wants you to pass, but she also wants you to at least attempt everything. Feels like homework shouldn't be mini-exams, like it often is. I'd love to take her again for another course.

She makes a hard course more manageable! She gives out answers to problems on half of the homework and the other half of the homework isn't bad. The exams (multiple choice) and material are difficult, but that will be the case with any professor because accounting is difficult. The only negative is that she goes through the material rather fast.

This class is super boring, but she does her best to teach you the material. Usually curved our tests by about 10 points. Has 1-2 homework assignments online each week. She prints out the homework answers so you just have to actually submit the answers. Study the lecture notes, not anything on Connect.

Waggoner is an angel. She understands not everyone in there wants be an accountant and its a principles class so she doesn't go over the top with what she tests you on. However, she is not a pushover and the class needs to be taken seriously. She gives you the hw answers the day its due and curves most tests by about 10 or so. Great woman.

Ms. Waggoner is a wonderful professor! The 2120 content is quite difficult, but an A is definitely possible. She adds 10 points to every exam. I would highly recommend Ms. Waggoner to anyone in need of an Accounting class.

Honestly, one of the best profs I've had at Tech. Due to covid most of the class was done through connect, but she was still easily accessible either by text or email. Homework and lectures are super easy, she accepts late work, and has a pretty lengthy deadline for the tests. A truly wonderful woman who cares about her students and the material.

Leigh Waggoner is a great option for both accounting 1 & 2. Every week, you have a smartbook, lecture video, and problem set of about 8-10 questions. She does the homework in class and gives you all the answers. The tests are open-note and open-book and online. The content is pretty hard, but that is expected in accounting.

I had Professor Waggoner for both Principles 1 and 2. Obviously, it isnt an easy subject; however, Professor Waggoner is always accessible in her office and more than happy to help her students. Personally, I learned the most just reading the book and skimming the video lectures. Honestly, Professor Waggoner is one of the best professors Ive had.

Exams are open note and open book, which is a huge help. In my opinion, you have to read the book to understand, she doesn't necessarily teach as much as she goes over things. She gives two bonus assignments which add to your test grades, which is awesome. She's also very understanding and gracious. I wish I took her for both Accounting I and II.
