Wonderful teacher. nice, got concussion in algebra, she helped me catch up. explains things very clearly. I don't like math, but I loved class, especially stats. be careful with the final stat project--but she's always willing to go over it with you.

Professor Sisson is a student learning oriented teacher. She focuses on the things that you will use in the real world, even in your project. I think she realizes that we will have reference tools to use in our jobs, so she lets us use those on tests.

She's very nice, goes slow, and knows what she is talking about. Doesn't confuse me and lets you use notes, old tests, and homework for tests! VERY EASY!!! EASY EASY!! Always left class 15-30 minutes early.

Im terrible at math, but i was lucky that she's pretty laidback with things. Homework isn't taken up, and she's really clear with her notes. Even lets you use them on tests. But your final grade came from 5 tests and the final. Tests are only 15 or so Q's, so that's tough on hard chapters. But the final was so easy. Got by with a B, so i was happy.

Sisson is extremely nice. Very clear in teaching. Allows you to use your notes on everything. Takes her time and is very fair and flexable with schedules.

I have tried taking both of these classes before and with this professor it was 100 times easier. I looked forward to taking her class b/c I knew I wouldn't leave completely confused. She is nice and considerate. Definitely take her for every math class you can!

This class was sooo easy! She is really nice and very funny, in a kinda weird way! :P She lets you use notes on the tests, and tells you in class things you'll need to know for the test (so if you're taking notes, you'll just happen to have that with you on the tests ^-^) - I recommend her to anyone, esp since I hate algebra, but loved this class!!

Despite the high marks. I want to warn you that if you are not self motivated to do the HW (which is not required, but helpful), you will not pass the test and class. She bases your final grade by the four exams you take and the final. You may use notes and homework for the exams, but if you do neither, it wont help. If you take the class, Do HW!!

I took her for college algebra. It was so easy. The only thing I had a problem with was the fact that she did absolutely nothing to help us study for the final exam like go over tests, she actually did not even show up to class. You did get to use your notes for every test and the exam. I will take her for statistics for sure.

this is one of my favorite teachers so far that i have had at valencia. She is extremely helpful in class and i have no trouble at all understanding her teaching style. I highly recommend that you take this teacher for any math class you require.

Prof. Sisson just might be one of the best math professors out there. She has a great teaching style, is very easy to understand, and makes sure to go over homework and questions every day. The only way to not pass this class is to do nothing, of course you have to do homework, but isn't that part of college?! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

She is a great teacher, HW is not mandatory, but it makes it easier to pass the tests. She gives pre-tests so you know what is on the exam, the final is commu. But on all the test you are able to use your notes. Very easy!

EASIEST MATH teacher ever. she lefts you use your notes on your test that she helps you correct. you have to do your work because your using it to pass anyways. Amazingly nice and very helpful. Just come to class and the work is easy anyways, pay attention though, don't sleep.

She is an amazing teacher! She really wants to help you and will ask you if you have questions and will go over any homework that you want to. She tells you what will be on the test and you are allowed to use a notecard. As with any math-its best to do the homework. Its best to go to class b/c that's where she helps you. Also buy the TI-84 or above

This teacher is amazing! If you want to see how math or algebra is used in the real world-then take her because she uses real life problems for homework and tests (which make it soo much easier). If you don't like word problems-well still take her. It's an easy class!!!

Pay attention. Really. People complain because they get bad grades, but all you have to do is to pay attention. She explains things very clearly. Her tests and quizzes are short. But the grading sometimes is a bit unfair. The quizzes are online, so a small mistake or if you round wrong, will be marked as wrong. But she'll give you a second chance.

this class was awesome i failed the first test and passed with a high A. Shes sweet and helpful just make sure you study and do the hw cause you can use it for the test.

This prof was a total sweetheart, but her teaching style was not amazing as everyone says. Most of her hard tests were word problems and i don't know why people keep saying we were allowed to use our notes because she only let us use 1 index card, except for the final in which we could use 4. Overall, she's ok. Take her if you must.

I took her Spring 2009. She was very helpful and very interesting. I do agree though she does mark off for little things on tests. I loved going to class and she even made me change my major to Statistics. I love it now. You are allowed to use notes on the test. I am at UF now and just took STA 3024 (Stats 2) and aced it due to her. SHE'S THE BEST!

BEST YET! Whether math is ur subject or not.. she will make sure you pass. she gives you your own personal tutor. She is open to questions and will make sure you understand the material. There's a midterm and a final.. you have online quizzes (you have 2 chances). Take the practice quizzes online, it's helpful!

Professor Sisson is wonderful. She walks you through each and every problem and her explanations are crystal! Doesn't belittle or get irratated at repeat questions. Tests can be challenging, but the cumulative final is multiple choice. I highly recommend her!

I took her for college algebra. Best Teacher i have ever had. Gives ALOT of examples. Homework is not mandatory but do it because it helps with the test. Test are exactly what she teaches you. No tricks. She has an assistant which is great help. Replaces your lowest grade with the final. She is also SUPER nice. You will feel like you earned your A.

Took her course online. She answered e-mails VERY quickly. The course was straight forward and if you do the HW and get decent grades on the quiz you will pass. Had a C going into the final and walked away with a B for a final grade. She dropped our 2 lowest grades to help with our final grade.

Super easy! You get two weeks to do each homework assignment plus the quiz for that chapter. You can take the quiz twice. There are zero tests except for the final. She responds quickly and clarifys everything. I hate math and have always been terrible at it but this was by far the best math class i've ever had.

Please disregard the comment below,there are examples given even though some can be confusing. I got an A in the online course. If you take it online u have an onsite midterm & final. The quizzes /HW can be done at home. The onsite tests u can only use a notecard (1 mid, 2 final). The onsite course however, can use their whole notebook. Good luck

Algebra is easy for me but if you need LOTS of hands on help and you don't do well with teaching yourself, don't take her. We were in an auditorium... weird I know. Quiz and HW due every week. MyMathLab is great for teaching yourself. Her notes & directions are clear & she's very nice & her and her assistants are there to help. Not bad a professor!

This class was both lab and lecture. During lab you worked on HW and quizzes, which are due every week. TAKE NOTES! because you can use them on quizzes and on the final exam and they're exactly like the HW questions. Lectures are given in the auditorium so it's almost like a preview of what a university is like. I Love Prof. Sisson, she's awesome.

This professor is awesome!!! if you need college algebra to pass shes the teacher to take. She is there when you need her and if shes not she has a teacher helper that is in class with her. If you do the homework and take good notes you will pass! The test aren't that bad but the final is hard but you can do it! Best choice!!!!!!

This professor is awesome!!! I would take her again if I had another math class I needed to take. This class is half in a classroom and the other half in a lab room. If you do the homework and TAKE GOOD NOTES!!!!! You will pass. She also has a teachers aide that is there to help you when she's not around. Take her course if you need this class!!!

I took her online class. there is a lot of help on the web site, and everything is clear cut. Just stay on top of your deadlines. She does not give make up work, and her deadlines will not be changed. I was far ahead on the homework and quizzes. If you do good on all homework and quizzes you will make the grade...

I took this as a mini semester and everything is used with STAT lab. You work at your own pace with deadlines. She is the best professor I have ever had. You have one homework assignment a week and one test a week. I finished this course 2 weeks early. She will help you every chance she gets. Take her!

I'm pretty good at math so it was easier for me. don't need the book cause the access code(for my math lab) has the digital book plus a lot of helpful material. having a graphing calculator(TI-84)is big time saver. theres lab time 4 quizzes and final, homework can b redone for an A as long as it's before the deadline. 1 homework and quiz per week

Really sweetie teacher, you won't interact with her a lot just her teacher assistant. He's very nice too but he's definitely a stickler for the rules. It's one lecture and one lab per week. You can't miss the lecture but you could sometimes miss the lab and it won't hurt.

HOMEWORK AND QUIZ EVERY WEEK. QUIZ ARE USUALLY 8-10 QUESTIONS NOTHING MORE AND YOU GET ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF TO COMPLETE IT. GIVES YOU 2 CHANCES FOR A QUIZ BUT SOME QUESTIONS ARE DIFFERENT. THE FINAL IS DONE ON CAMPUS BUT SHE LETS YOU TAKE A PAPER WITH EXAMPLES, FORMULAS, STEPS AND A GRAPHING CALCULATOR. HW DOES TAKE A WHILE BUT IT CAN BE DONE.

Took professor Sisson online for College Algebra. It was basically self-taught except for the very few videos she had before assignments. MyMathLab is super helpful though so it wasn't bad. Short homework and quiz every week. 2 tests, Midterm and Final, and have to be taken at the Testing Center on campus. Overall good class.

Great Professor, even her assistant Mr. Summon was super helpful in explaining the homework. All the work is done thru math lab and you must make a 75 on homework before you can take the quiz. With math lab you have multiple attempts on answering homework questions. Best professor to take Stats with.

Would take again, work is on math lab. Suggestion, stay ontop of work and write the test reviews down with notes, since test are similar. Graphing calculators and notes are permitted on test.

If you had to take intermediate algebra and did well in it, this class is a breeze. Same concepts as intermediate algebra. Very easy to learn on your own. I took this over the summer and had no issues. The final exam was also really easy seeing as you can bring two pieces of paper with formulas and examples to help you on the test. Recommend!

I took her class in the Osceola campus. This class is in a computer lab and you learn everything from the computer not from lectures. She has an assistant thats amazing. They just go around the room helping you with questions, but dont actually teach, which I liked. Its kinda like an online class. Attendance only mandatory for quizzes&final days

This is like an online class expect you have a schedule at certain time each week and the teaching takes place online. She has offer a lot of opportunities to help students not fall behind and along with an assistant that knows what he's doing. You get one attempt on each quiz and the final exam and you can study for them by reviewing the HW.

I'm almost finish with this course. I need to complete the final exam. This is my second semester with this professor. This class is could be tricky if you don't spend 10-12 hours a week on it. A Ti-8y graphing calculator is highly recommended for this course and Statcrunch is easy to use if you watch the videos and review the presentation slides.

I think professor Sisson is a great teacher. Her hw assignments are long but she makes it easy and she uses pearson so you can't really fail the hw and she gives ample time. I finished early. I'd rate difficulty 2.5

Took online for COVID. Little to no interaction, just completing things on Pearson (NEED to buy code to do this class). Easy if you have taken a good alg course in HS. Might not be helpful if you are unfamiliar or want guidance in learning. You can finish this class pretty early if you want. Very easy, would recommend. No textbook, just online code

It's all in MyMathLab so you'll do a lot of learning yourself but everything you need to know is there.

I've taken this course 4x (I know, I know) & finally passed by taking this professor. She gives ample time to complete your assignments and allows you to work ahead. Lengthy exam reviews, 50Q ea., absolutely worth the time, able to use notes. Little to no interaction, teach yourself, taking the same prof for stats next term.

I was very nervous with taking college e algebra again because I didn't pass it the first time, but this teacher is hand down the best college algebra teacher there is NO discussion post and NO honor lock everything is done through Pearson each week you have to complete a assignment 10/10 teacher
