i dont see how anyone who claims to be an a student can get anything other than an a in her classes. she is a wonderful teacher and person. she challenges at a realistic level. she makes me want to be a teacher.

If you love creative writing, she's AWESOME. If you don't, you might have trouble trying to 'get' her. She's a good person with many ideas and a wry sense of humor.

Not only was she an interesting professor who challenged us to actually think, she really gets to know you as a person, which helps when you need to talk to you. One of my favorite profs ever!

Beautiful, funny, and easy to talk to about anything. She's very helpful with assignments, none too hard on grading, and definitely not hard on the eyes. Take her class if you can.

Awesome, a must take instructor. She is very helpful. Finally I learned something in a english class.

She's very fun and energetic. A bit confusing because she gets really caught up. Her creative writing class was fun, and a breeze, the only thing hard was keeping up with all of the writing assignments. Your grade is based on your effort in & out of class

Mrs. Belleau is a wonderful person and teacher! She's so much fun and although her quizzes can be a bit difficult it's very worth it. I learned a lot from her and look forward to taking Eng 201 with her!

Good professor...nice person...kinda easy...tough grader...doesn't give a lot of points for papers u do, therefore, less room to make errors...an ok class

Although there was a lot of reading she explained the meaning of the first set. The weekly quiz was a little rough, but only because she did not explain that days reading before the quiz was given

PROFESSOR Belleau is one of the finest instructors this university has to offer. If you struggle in her class it is because you are too lazy to do the work. She will bend over backwards to help you, and to see that you reach your fullest potential in her class. I wish I could have taken her for ever

Professor Belleua is GREAT! She does a wonderful job of making the material relevant to students. Her zany sense of humor holds students' interests. She makes me want to be a teacher!

I just love to say Lisa Belleau. She is an absolutely beautiful human being. I love talking with her because she is hilarious! I haven't had her in over a year, yet I still go to her to proofread my papers. She is extremely knowledgable; a wonderful professor. I just love to say Lisa Belleau:)~

She is a great teacher; she makes class fun and interesting. If you are serious about your progress in your writing skills she will be perfect for you. In my opinion, she is one of the best teachers in her department.

I LOVE Leisa Belleau. She is a wonderful teacher who only wishes to see her students succeed and grow from learning. You can not go into this class thinking you are the best - because she will make you better. As long as you are willing to work on your writing skills, and think you have room to improve then she is the teacher for you!

Ms. Belleau is an absolutely outstanding professor-one of the BEST at USI. She willingly helps students when students truly WANT help. If you want an A-you have to work for it. DON'T do other homework in her class-PAY ATTENTION! What is really great is that she always takes time to mark papers-and if you read her markings-you can LEARN from them!

Absolutley best teacher you will ever have. Ever. Although if you are not prepared, don't like to work hard or activley participate, then you probably won't enjoy her as evidenced in the comments below. Too bad. You're missing out on a great experience.

She is a good English teacher

Prof. Belleau is a GREAT professor! She can be frustrating at first because she makes you think instead of letting you write something she wants to hear. She is very helpful and always available outside of class. Def. take her if you want to become a better writer. It won't be easy, but you will benefit.

Liked reading the stories, but her tests were hard. She asks every question that you don't know. Half of my class(that didn't drop out) got a C. She is a very interesting teacher and has a lot to say.

I just finished her class. It was alright. She was a bit of a harsh grader. She taught us about grammar at first, but then I felt like it was turning into a history class.

There were many times we would go to class and only be there for fifteen minutes, or sometimes not have class at all. She is a harsh grader and it is hard to understand what she wants sometimes, but if you ask questions she clarifies it. She is super easy to talk to and hilarious! She is very blunt and will tell you straight up what you need to fix

LB is WONDERFUL! Most AMAZING professor EVER hands down. For being older she's pretty. She is very understanding. Really wants you to learn to think more than anything. I had a rough couple weeks & didn't do our last 2 papers and still passed because she knew my situation. TAKE HER!! She could motivate the laziest person ever to become president!

Leisa graded hard on all the papers, but if you work with her and take extra credit opportunities, she will respect you so much more. I ended up getting the grade I wanted because she saw I was trying by doing extra credit. Keep talking to her because she wants to see you excel.

Shes a wonderful lady very passionate about what she believes in! After taking her for eng101 i loved her, thinking 201 must be cake but no everything was fine until the final its a group project and a long paper shes not very clear on the instructions and if we make one mistake on the paper we get a zero!!!! not to mention a presentation

L.B. was probably my favorite professor last semester. She could be a bit confusing at times, but she would always ask if everyone understood what she was saying and would clarify if not. Not going to lie, I left her class a couple times with my mind blown. Always willing to stay after class to help any students that had questions. Take her!

LB is GREAT! I love her passion for the novel As I Lay Dying. Although her grading is a bit tough, it is clear about what she expects from you in her class. You definitely receive the grade that you work for in her class. She also offers extra credit for on campus lectures that you attend with a paper submission (back of syllabus). TAKE HER

LB is fantastic. She is tough but that drives you to make something meaningful rather than just what is needed. Really interesting class discussions. She seems like a genuinely cool person who has a passion for she does.

If you think you can pull a night before paper, you won't pass this class. Period. The woman is great, but grades so tough. Nothing is online, so you're kinda blind. But, there are only 3 papers, no final. I'm one week away from finals and you could go from a F to an A (vise versa) still because only half the points are in?? lol You'll love her tho

Be prepared to write a lot. Like every Thursday theres a new prompt. But only 3 main essays. She really is a fun teacher and you can tell how much she loves what she does. Highly recommend

This past semester I have learned so much about writing, grammar, and even about life. I loved that we learned how to write without having an unbearable amount of essays and homework to do. In addition, LB always provided good feedback about every essay. I never came out of the class without knowing something new. I highly recommend her.

LB honestly made me enjoy English. Not only is she amazing at her job, but she is genuinely a wonderful person. If you put the effort into your essays, you will succeed in this class. She only asks for three major essays as well as six lab prompts.

LB is the best professor I've ever had at this school. Period. She is one of the most understanding teacher you will ever have. I faced a lot of unexpected hardships this semester and not only did she understand my shortcomings with class, she would email me and check on me. There are very few professors out there that are as special as her.

One of the best professors I have had at USI. She is very caring and keeps lectures interesting. She only assigned a few papers a semester so it's not overwhelming. She is also very involved with her students and actually cares about how they are doing in her class/school in general. Would definitely take again!

Just some advice, take her in person not over zoom. She is great though and I loved 201 with her.
