Professor Karakowski is the best professor ive attended with out of 2 Universities ive been in, both were in the United States. I also enjoyed his Book for that course. He uses a lot of multimedia in his lectures and allows students to participate too.

Best prof ever!Makes classes fun by applying lessons to the real world. Very enthusiastic and passionate when lecturing. Lots of class discussions and interactions vs boring lectures. If you take an ADMS course make sure you have him as a prof!

He really teaches well, the course is totally based on discussions and case studies at the end of the chapter. If you understand the basic concepts that he wants you to apply to all the cases, then you can easily get an A. Make sure to take him!

He wrote the book- literally! But sometimes a disadvantage 'cause he says it's in the book, read it. Pretty ok guy, but a little unfocused and easily loses his train of thought. Not a bad marker tho.

Very good person. In his lectures he gives many outside of the course illustration that makes the understanding of the material easier.

Aweosme Professor! Extremely helpful and interesting! He tries to keep the lectures fresh and though provoking. Two challenging exams, worth 100% of the final mark, but if you pay attention and do the readings you will do well! He is not there to trick you or screw you over like other Profs & York

Great teacher tells lots of good jokes and tries hard to get students involved. Gives alot of time for peoples thoughts and opinions which gives you alot of time to leave class. You need to write alot on the exam but he grades fairly. He lets you know exactly what to study so you don't waste time.

Len was great! Anyone having trouble with his class just isn't attending! He's smart, funny, and determined to get the whole class involved. I loved how he brought real-world news into the course material, making it relevant. I'm not a business student and he made it interesting for me. If you do your work, you'll do well in his class!

Great prof! Good use of multimedia. Enjoys what he's doing. Know key points (usually found in slides and bullet lists or headings) and apply them to all end of chapter case studies and you'll be prepared for the 2-50% exams!!!!! Forget your opinions, just apply the framework he gives you. Good first year professor.

The class (ADMS 1000) was better than I expected. Mr. Karakowsky explained the material and concepts very well and also outlined what he expected very early in the course. His case studies were pertinent, interesting and helpful. He answered students' questions thoroughly as well. His humour was an added benefit. I suggest this class to anyone.

This professor is awesome. He's the total opposite of Diane Jurkowski. He's funny, enjoyable lecture, will answer all questions and emails, will go with you step on the final exam explaining what he expects from you. He also provides practice midterms/final exams with suggestions on how to approach the questions, and he post online notes!

Great prof. All you need is participation and participation. He loves to hear students give their ideas. Trust me, give a LOT ideas and you'll be fine. He's hard on grading, you really have to apply the concept onto the problem. But he's 100% funny. Take his class and do exercise at the end of each chapter ^^

The best prof in York! Exstrimly helpfull, makes everything very clear. He teaches in funny way, so nobody wants to miss a single class. Prepares you well for exam, he is not going to trick you. Len is a very interesting prof... very funny, and the lectures are worth your time. There is a lot of material but he does his best to prep you for it and lets you know exactly what will be on the exams. The exams have a few questions but are very particular and quite challenging. This was a great class ! :)

Overall, Len is a great professor. His class was interesting and I learnt lots staffs from him. Only problem is marking system, he did not mark the exams and then TA did not know what they were doing.

This is the best professor u can get for ADMS1000. It's impossible to fall asleep in his class because he's very loud and HILARIOUS. He can qualify as a comedian and is laugh is just awesome! This guy knows his stuff, and makes the material much more interesting and fun. Only downfall is that the textbooks are incredibly boring! Like seriously lol.

Funniest & Most Helpful in a challenging course, Best combo. Content: it's all abt business and essays & be ready for them. The textbook is a must but to find one in good shape is the ultimate quest. The book is too fragile i.m.o. It's good to be funny but too much of it & he forgets that he's supposed to be teaching...he did at times =(

As a BioMed major, there are times I wonder why did I choose this course but Len makes you forget all the hate. Funny and Helpful in great doses. But remember Technical Report is not the same as Business Writing and that almost screw me up in the midterm. If you wanna take the course, Pick Len but be ready for some serious writing.

The textbook was not really needed until the open book mid term exam came up. The final exam (worth 60% of our mark) was difficult in that there were only 5 essay type questions in the entire exam. Other than this, he is a very helpful, very knowledgeable professor.

ADMS1000. Len is an amazing prof. His lectures are very clear and easy to understand. He focus's alot on the case studies which is a great exam review. He is also hilarious and will keep you motivated and want to come to class. Overall, an excellent prof.

oh God. I will never forget my suffocation in the last class. He's like "Oh im just gonna run through this briefly/quickly" " oh last class is gonna be our shortest class" and guess what, he said same things 10 times and never kept it SHORT-AT ALL! just so irritating to hear from him " short, short..." when it never WAS!otherwise,great prof!!!

This is a professor who wants his students to succeed. He is a comic, so for the "Sad Sacs" this may seem weird. I am yet to write the final exam, but it doesn't matter how he marks (he marks hard), he is great! I am so happy I took this course and I am inspired to do my best because I truly enjoyed his teaching, the course, and the book.

If you read the textbook you probably wont need to attend class, but he really helps understand case studies which are all exam material. Extremely fair marker, bumped my exam marl 12% because a TA marked me unfair! Humble Guy :)

He is an amazing prof, and is SUPER clear in his lectures. He doesn't make me fall asleep like other profs, especially for a 3 hour lecture from 8:30am to 11:30pm. He includes many videos as examples for better understanding. He is by far, my favourite professor.

Great prof! Gives good lecture, really into course material - he co-authored the textbook btw. Love how he tie the concepts to current affairs. Amazing humor, laid back. Pretty much feels like hitting jackpot for being able to enroll in his class for first year.

The only negative thing I can say about Prof. Len is that, if you cut out all his joke, stories, etc. than you can really cut the 3 hour lecture into 45-60 minutes. Other than that, he is a great guy, wonderful professor, and passionate. If you do the readings & case study before lecture weekly you'll do fine.

Such an easy class especially when you take it with him. You don't exactly have to go to class because you can study from the textbook and pass with an A/A+ easily. But, I would recommend going to his lectures because he's so fun and really easy going. If you don't understand something he's willing to provide several examples.

The course requires an extensive amount of memorization & concepts. Len is hilarious, I came to class just to laugh. I would take a course with him any time, but I wouldn't repeat organization behaviour as this course requires a lot of understanding. But he is amazing as a prof, he's quirky, respected, gives a good insight on life and the course.

He's a really funny, engaging and rambunctious professor and he really interacts with students a lot (if you go to class). You don't really need to go to class to secure an A, just read his slides they're extremely straightforward and will help you prepare for the exam if you're good at memorization.

Get ready for dad jokes galore. He's a great professor and an understanding person, overly nice even. Makes it easy to stay awake during lectures, and if you do fall asleep he won't single you out for it.

One of my favourite prof's at York. Tries to keep the students attentions. I'd only say tough grader on the midterm and exam but that has nothing to do with him because the TA's mark those. The reflections are marked by him and he'll give you 100% (10% of your grade).

Took Len for an asynchronous class but surprisingly, his recorded lectures (powerpoints) were interesting to listen to. It's obvious that he's passionate about what he teaches. No complaints except that he made a synchronous class asynchronous randomly. Quizzes and exams are solely his lectures/slides. Nothing more, nothing less. 100% recommend.

Professor Karakowsky is a good lecturer and clearly passionate about what he does. Keeping up with lectures is important for success in this course. Many videos were included as real world examples, but I wish he played them in the lectures as opposed to clicking in and out to access the content. Also, grading seemed arbitrary at times.
