He is very clear in his way of teaching. He is always available to help out his students anytime that they need it. His number one goal is to make sure you understand the material. Overall he is the best teacher I had so far!!!

When I started this class I was so lost I was sure I would fail. This teacher helped me so much I passed with an A. He will go over everything again and again until you understand. He will stay late and do whatever he can to help you. If you have a hard time with math take this teacher. He is really wonderful. Everyone in the class loved him.

If you don't understand correctly the first time, he'll try his best to go over the same steps in a more understanding way. I don't even use the book in the class. He gives examples based on his review and all his tests are exact to his reviews. RECOMMENDED!

This is an ok professor. He tries his best to communicate his knowledge and passion for math to his students. He has a pretty heavy accent and i wouldn't recommend him if you have trouble with math. But he does his best to help students. He gave a take home exam and drops your lowest grade. The class only had 6 exams so i think it was pretty fair.

Great teacher. I took him for MAC1105 and he indeed is a helpful guy. He operates like a computer, his world is numbers. Teaching is pretty upfront, homework is not mandatory and neither is attendance. Test are not easy easy but if you do a bit of the homework you'll do fine. He also gives reviews for them. Will take again.

This professor is AMAZING! I took him in the summer. I am horrible in math and I managed to get a B! Take him you wont regret it! He cares about his students and really helps you out with your final grade.

Easiest math class ever. 2 tests are easy and take home and the other 2 are even easier and he gives you the formulas. They are short and so easy a kid in elementary school could get an A on them. If you get less than an A in this class it's because you're extremely lazy.

Math is not easy but he is willing to help you if you ask. Attendance is not mandatory, two take home exams and a final that will count double to replace the lowest grade. Five tests in total. He will give you study guides which are pretty much like the exams.

Amazing! very easy professor not looking to fail you. only 4 tests and 2 are take home not looking to fool you on the tests as long as you go over your notes and pay attention in class you will pass. you have to do a project but gives you plenty of time to complete! I lived in south beach and drove all the way to kendal campus just to take him! A+!

This guy is an easy teacher, but not because of online tests or whatever, he takes his time on the board to answer questions and is patient with questions. Has a little bit of an accent but it doesnt interfere with your learning.He can teach, I didnt study at all, simply went to class and did the test reviews, TAKE HIM, YOU WONT REGRET IT.

His accent is kinda hard to understand at first, but then you get used to it. Two online test and three test in class. I would recommend him.

Took this course as a 6-week mini term (Saturdays). The material isn't hard, two tests were take home. He really tries to help you out. He does have a thick accent, so it may be difficult to understand at times. Definitely take him!

To the comment below,why would it matter whether or not it's multiple choice? Anyways we took 4 exams (2 online),they're not multiple choice, but I did not show any work what-so-ever and passed with an A. Just do the online HW and the project, easy stuff. On a side note, he rarely answers his emails. Has an accent. No book needed,just online HW

He has a little acent but you can understand, The tests are not multiple choise but this help to get some points if the answers are wrong. he show up passion for math and help us to undertand it including if you don't like it. I recomended

Currently taking him, does not require book. You will need the mymathlab. His grading works to the students benefits. He teaches what you need to know and doesn't drag on. He does have an accent. 4 exams. 2 are online. You have multiple attempts. You need to put forth the effort if you want the grade.

Simple: 3 Tests in class, 2 online. 1 Project, he just checks if you did it at all. Test 1 is probably the hardest one. Every test after that is a joke. Just memorize the questions;they really don't change much other than a few things here and there. You can knock out the online assignments within a few weeks. Summer Course.

I'm so glad to have selected Prof. Fernandez for MAC1105. The subject is not the easiest, but he is willing to help students a lot by giving you extra credit for a project and leaving the online HW available pretty much until the end of the semester. Unless you're a genius at Math, don't skip his class. Put in some effort and you'll sure pass.

About 4-5 tests or so? 1st test in class. Test 2 & 3 are online. Test 4 is in class if I remember correctly. You don't take the final test if you don't need to. If I remember right, test 4 was online too because of I don't remember what. So, you're bound to get 34 A's on each test. Gives an extra credit assignment on a famous mathematician.

One of the best professors I have had in math. 1st test is in class while the 2nd and 3rd are online. Because of time the 4th one was posted online as well. Extra credit research paper and Final is optional. Great Professor overall definitely would recommend!

This professor explains all the pertinent math problems. He always asks if someone has a question and will stay after class to help, if necessary. If you do homework and attend class, you'll pass this class. There are some online tests. He knows Math very well and he is very pleasant. I would take him again. MAC1105 - Fall 2015.

super easy class, study, do the homework and you should pass. he talks fast as he teaches, but just ask to slow down and he will. just 4 exams and a final. if you do good on the exams, you don't need to take the final exam.

Let me start out by updating from prior reviews. He can NO LONGER provide online exams, so don't get excited about those. This class overall was challenging for me but was very clear on what was expected. He does give you very helpful reviews for each test, and points on tests for completing hw. He makes it evident he's there to help out students!

Theres only 4 exams & then an optional final if you want to boost your grade (or stay with the grade you have.) The tests are very easy bc he does reviews on exactly what will be on the test and the questions are the same format from mymathlab homework. Dont need the textbook, just the access code. I barely did the hw & ended with a B

Math has always been a difficult subject for me. Fortunately this class has a great tutor assigned who will boost you up in the areas you couldnt catch in class. Teacher has 4 exams and a final. You will receive reviews for all 4. Reviews are the same as the exams with maybe a difference of 3 questions.

Overall the professor is good. He was very clear with the assignments. Average homework and 6 tests including finals (finals was optimal only if you needed it). Some test were hard but you were allowed to take it 3 times. Very understanding professor.

Online. Do not need a camera or microphone. Attendance is not req'd. He does visual presentations and goes over material. Answers any questions you have, and will stay with students after class for 1 on 1 help. Optional extra credit if you want to do it. A lot of homework in the MathLab though. Friendly. Don't fall behind on homework though.
