I agree that he mispronounces the words but he was a surgeon for many years and he knows his stuffs by heart! A&P is not an easy course. If this knowledge is to be used in future profession, you need to put some effort. He will explain the material if you ask for his help. He has further encouraged me to pursue health profession.

Took class online. Seems like a really nice guy and was really helpful the whole course. He is foreign, but I didn't think that it interfered with his clarity that much at all. Class was 9 simple quizzes (10 MC) on daily readings and 3 tests. Pretty easy A. Definitely take this course if you need the credits, very easy, cheap, and totally worth it.

He is from argentina and his a surgeon therefore he knows his stuff, his accent is a little different but over all he will clarify anything that he may mispronounce. If you put a little time and pay attention in class you will do very well.

Just finished summer course w professor kurachi. Bio 211 was not easy but he always gave us review for the practical and explained everything very well. If i could i would definitely take AP 2 with him also. You will not only learn but you are guaranteed a good grade if you put effort and study time.

Professor kurachi is by far the best professor gateway has to offer. The course he teaches is a hard subject, but he does not make it any harder. Instead he tries to help you understand and uses different ways so that you understand. I took a summer bio 211 with him and the way he kept his class organized just helped a lot. Overall a great professor. He takes the time out to go over anything a student may not be sure about. The mandatory course material is not a cakewalk, but if you apply yourself and do what is asked, you will do fine. I would definitely recommend this professor.

Great professor, had this course over the summer and he was very organized. It is a lot of material to learn but he provides all the info you need for the test, no trick questions. Very knowlegable, he actually teaches vs other professors who just read off PowerPoint slides. One of the best professors at gateway!

I did Biology-100 on-line course with pro Kurachi, summer 2014. It was a pretty easy lay-out course; He make it easy for you to understand, with power-points and videos.you do not have to buy the book. I recommend this professor. You will learned a lot.some students mention his foreign accents; but I understanding him clearly.

This was a very good online course. My first experice. I was very impatient. But the course was clear. You must take all quizzes and exam and you will be all set.

Wonderful professor. I was actually sad to see this class end. Professor wants you to focus more on understanding the subject and not just to obtain that A at the end. The test questions are all from your power points and lectures. Take notes and study, study, study. It you put in the time you will make a good grade. By far my favorite class yet.

Great professor!! Very sweet man and has a sense of humor. Definitely my favorite professor at Gateway so far. He is helpful and wants you to succeed. He also will work with you if needed. Only thing I didn't like was that he has you take the lecture and practical exam on the same day but I would still highly recommend him.

Dr Kurachi is a great professor. He has passion about Anatomy an Physiology. A trauma surgeon from Argentina from who you will learn a lot. The subject is not easy. You have to work hard. I strongly recommend him for A&P I and II.

Best professor I ever had.

This professor is the best I have had at gateway in the 3 years going there. He always cared about how you were doing in class and went out of his way to come before class or stay after to make sure you understand material. I recommend him for both ap 1 and ap 2.

On lab days he might go into lab time with more lecture but it helps so much that he takes his time and explains everything .. he has excellent humor and cares a lot of his students grades. I would definitely take again.

Professor Leonardo goes above and beyond for you so that you will grasp the material. Hes very helpful and will come to the study room and ask you questions to make sure your ok. Hes very knowledgeable and he uses real life experiences to make sure you understand. What I love about his is that he will go and over until you get it.

Dr Kurachi teachs anatomy and physiology from experience, knowledge, common sense and loving passion from the medical field. Something very close to the definition of wisdom.

Took him for winter biology. He's clear and highly organized. If you read his powerpoints there's no way you can fail! No book needed, great experience.

Basic Biology Online. In general, this was an easy class. The professor seems to be very organized and he provides a very fast feedback if you have a question. Do read the power points and quizzes and you will do great. Take all quizzes and exams.

I am currently taking him for Bio 211. He is a great teacher. He is always there to help and make sure you understand the material. I will be taking him again for bio 212. I highly recommend him.

Professor Kurachi is very wise and kind. This is a severely hard class and I recommend taking bare minimum courses if any at the same time. You basically only receive grades on the practicals and exams with no EC or retakes, so studying a LOT is the key. Regardless, he is a great educator and keeps the class alive during constant heavy lectures.

Anatomy and Physiology I is very difficult. Yes, you have to study a lot. But you cannot blame the professor if you did not have enough time to study. This class was excellent. The professor is very knowledgeable and patient with students. He explain very clear. his exams (any exam) is difficult if you do not study for. I do recommend him.

Because COVID19 we had the second half online. Dr Kurachi was very clear and easy to understand in his lectures and always willing to help. For the online part he posted quizzes, recorded lectures and some videos. No extra credit. you Really did not need it. In discussion board/email he always reply very fast to you. I do recommend him.

I took AP I with this professor 3 semesters ago. The experience was great. I was very scared to take AP 2 online. It was tough and a lot of things to do. Winter class in 2020. This was a very clear, organized and instructive online class. No textbook is needed. Good class. If you are willing to take 3 bio credits as an elective, this is one of your best choices. I do recommend Dr Kurachi.

I had a great experience in this AP1 class. The professor is great, and provides good advises. His lectures are clear with several examples from real medical experience which help to clarify different topics. Laboratories are great. I highly recommend this professor. everyone complaining either doesn't study or doesn't know how. for labs, u get a 100 for showing up. practicals are simple if you PAY ATTENTION in lab, and take pictures. all memorization. the lecture exams were EASY if you WATCHED THE VIDEO and STUDIED. the questions were simple and straightforward. genuinely, if you put time in you will do fine.

5 exams, 4 practicals, and 10 labs. you get a 100 for lab by being in class. practicals are similar to labs and 50 questions each. exams are easy to understand if you watch the lectures and study on your own time. he is willing to answer any questions you have and try his best to explain. nice guy and simple class. taking him again for a+p 2!

Such a good teacher! You just need to put in effort and study, definitely watch the lecture videos!!
