The best teacher you can have for a speech class. You only have to do three speeches the entire course. All her tests come from the notes she gives you so you won't even need the book for this course.

I took prof. Escoffery during the summer A term. Now I work a full-time job at a law-firm, and found it to be slightly intense. 2 of the speeches were literally speech mid term speech final so the last 2 weeks were stressed. Overall she is a great Prof. i was terrified to get up there and she makes you feel slightly comfortable with group work!!!!!

This teacher is fantastic! She is quirky, and funny and really knows her stuff. I hate public speaking but she made it less unnerving. She is also very helpful, if you need topic ideas or have format questions. Don’t even bother buying the book all her quizzes and test questions come right from the notes.

I took her for summer A and the class was sooo long so it felt like she would never stop talking but it was a good thing because she gives examples for every topic to make sure you fully understand it. The speeches were very nerve racking for me but i got A's so its not that bad. I highly recommend this professor!Easy

I was told that her class would be exciting and fun,it was, however, I did all her extra credits except 3, got good grades on my tests, and met assignments deadlines. She graded my speeches with partiality eventhough I went above and beyond. How I knes she was partial, she gave a friend of mine an A when she did worst than I.

Great speech teacher! Gives lots of ex cred & dont even bother buying the book! But the way she grades speeches sometimes isnt fair..you may work REALLY hard on your speech and someone who did poorly will make the same grade as you! VERY frustrting! but overall good class, study for her exams and youll do fine

I agree with the last comment, She favors some students,and grades can be arbitrary on speeches, but her lectures, and classroom environment are great. She wants everyone to succeed, and is always encouraging. You gotta work hard to get an A, ans some harder than others. no wimps in this class.

I disagree with everyone saying she grades unfairly. If you listen to what she tells you, and try and do it yourself, she'll reward you for it! Great teacher! So much fun! Class was a breeze! She's very nice, and approachable.

Mrs. Escoffery is the BEST Instructor that I have ever had since I have been attending school. I took her for the Summer Session A & for those 6 weeks I have enjoyed attending her class everyday. She is very sensitive to the feelings of others and will try her best to help students who are uncomfortable with speaking. You don't need to buy the textbook if you take notes in her class. I absolutely loved this class! Ms Escoffery made me want to go to class everyday because the material was so interesting. She really knows her stuff. This professor is awesome. I came in with such a fear of speaking in front of any audience and by the end of the class, we were all like family. She is such a wonderful teacher! I took her for speech and I was so nervous but she makes everything so easy. Theres 2 quizes, 1 midterm (that she barely puts toward your grade) 3 speeches, which are the main parts of your grade. She breaks up the Gordon rule 2,000 words into a bunch of assignments so you arent overwhelmed. Totally take her

I've never had a better class. Fun assignments and group work. She gives an extra credit opportunity everyday. Book is not at all required and she tells you that on the first day. Helps you in office or through emails. You can tell she loves teaching. Honestly one of the best professors at PBSC.

At first I did not want to take this class because of the speeches but I ended up loving this class specially the teacher she's so helpful... She will answer an email quickly even on weekends! This class is the easiest class you can take!! And do not worry about giving speeches because there's only 3 and she will help you all the way!!

Professor Escoffery class was great and boring as well, lectures was very long, class was easy as long as you attend you'll be okay. doesn't put up grades up as fast. Speeches were easy, and the whole time she is in the back smiling and nodding FOR EACH ONE. Made it easy for the people who were nervous. Fun class especially for a mandatory.

Professor Escoffery is best professor I've ever had. Her lectures are very comprehensible, and she uses a ton of examples. I took her for a six week summer class, and we presented 3 speeches, all extemporaneous, but if you're not a fan of public speaking she'll work with you. Prof. Escoffery is the sweetest teacher you can take. Her class is super easy. Tests are based on her lecture and notes. You will do some journals and random assignments, both easy. Your biggest assignments are your speeches which, if you prepare and try, you can get an A. The exam is all the tests combine so if you do well on those you'll be good.

Professor Escoffery is the best professor I have had during all my college experience. She is Inspirational, she cares about each individual student! She is a great speaker, she is clear and very respectful. 100% recommend!

She is the best professor ive ever had! So good at teaching. Lots of small group activities which tend to be fun. Easy A if you do the assignments which she gives a lot of time to do. Speeches are the hardest part and theyre not even hard when you prepare accordingly.

Amazing professor, she always makes her lectures enjoyable. her stories are so funny and crazy. I look forward to her class every time. She is one of the most comforting teachers you'll meet, speeches are simple. She canceled one of our speeches. She does make lecture notes so its super easy to study for quizzes. the questions come from the notes.

If you are looking for a speech teacher I definitely recommend Professor Escoffery, she is the sweetest teacher ever! Average amount of work and it is super easy, especially with her help. Shes so easy to contact outside of class and answers super fast. She makes class so fun and shes super caring and understanding.

I 100% recommend for you to take a class with Professor Escoffery! I took her for my first semester of college, and she was amazing! I had her for SPC1017. She's sweet and understanding, you could tell from day one that the class would be great. She gives a minimum amount of work throughout the entire year. Plenty of time to do extra credit.

Super kind and eccentric. She's an amazing speaker and makes her class fun, easy, and accessible. Gives powerpoint lectures with the speaker notes posted, so you can take notes or download those. There's a couple of quizzes and a few speeches, nothing difficult at all. Can't stress enough how awesome she is in the classroom

Very sweet woman. Simple and easy class. We take a few quizzes, do little homework (which is usually easy writing assignments), and have three speeches to do and present in front of the class. She's very easy to reach, understanding, and always more than happy to help with any questions.

Professor Escoffery was fantastic. She sets clear guidelines of what will occur during your time in her class, so you are prepared. There are a couple speeches you must write and present for a grade in this class, but she ensures everybody gets a fair and distraction-free presentation. Quizzes/Tests are easy.

By far the best professor I have had. She is so caring and easy going on her students. She is also super respectful and never puts people on the spot. Her students comfortability is a priority. Her class consists of 3 speeches and the occasional homework with a few tests. She offers extra credit throughout the term. I recommend her 100%!!

BRUH don't take this for full-term its to easy to spend a lot of time on it. Professor Escoffery is such a sweetheart and beautiful (no simping) I hate giving speeches but she made it so easy I did it with no sweat and she doesn't' grade hard. follow her instructions and you good. Take her class you won't regret it bro, man up and stop being shy

Professor Escoffery is simply amazing; super kind, puts your comfort first when presenting, and easy to reach outside of class. The quizzes are easy, the speech topics are your choice. Clear guidelines about what you should and shouldn't do, overall an easy A.

She is genuinely one of the best professors I've ever had. She is so kind, understanding, and caring. She makes speech interesting and less daunting. I would highly recommend her, she is an amazing prof.

She is funny and her assignment is easy. Make sure you take notes for the mid-term. We only do speeches which good for shy kids. She sometime go over things that made me uncomfortable but other than that this was a good class.

Professor E is one of the best professors I have had! She is so caring and funny, and her class goes by super quick, unfortunately. We had 2 speeches, and she made sure that everyone felt confident enough to present their speeches. She has such a bubbly personality that the class's vibe is immaculate, and it feels like everyone is friends. 10/10

Extremely nice prof. She is really supportive and caring. The assignments are not hard at all as long as you do it right. Her quizzes aren't hard as long as you pay attention in class, and follow along with her notes.

Professor Escoffery is incredible! She is extremely caring and very kind in grading the speeches (only 2), and her test is very simple as she gives you the answers and tons of time to get all the work done. I think it was around 3 test overall

I took Professor Escoffery (Fall Term). I enjoyed her class. She is a caring and sweet professor who makes everyone feel welcome. Her lessons were straightforward. Tests were online. We had an overall of 2 presentations. We had some group discussions with the people around us. Overall, I would retake this class...

She made every student feel welcome. She teaches very important lessons about communication and how to overcome your speech talk. She also gives 2 exercises to overcome your nervousness before your speech. You do have to do a group discussion around the people you are with. Don't worry you get to meet new people around the class.

Lectures would drag on, but she was engaging and caring even though it was online. She's very well-spoken, and her class feels like a safe space. The essays could be tedious, but they're not that bad. Speaking up in front of the class wasn't that bad either once you did it. Overall an interesting class with a great professor

This professor was great! I had her for my Fundamentals of Speech live online class. 10/10, would definitely take her again! Lectures were very well spoken and in depth, she made that class easy and fun to participate in. Giving many, many extra credit opportunities. Workload is very manageable and she gives clear and helpful feedback.

She is so sweet and caring. If you have a hard time with public speaking this class is definitely nerve wracking because you do 2-4 speeches which last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. But that's expected and she is incredibly encouraging and smiles at you nicely even if you're bombing your speech. She cares a lot and never makes you feel inferior.

Professor E is the best! She is one of the sweetest Profs I know. She will make sure you are understanding what she is teaching. Workload is very light, and there is a speech at the end of the semester you have to do. She is very understanding for students with social anxiety. She is definitely cooking with gas!

I was very scared of not understanding the course. But she is very passionate about the class. It is literally impossible to fail. Every class she gives an extra credit question. At the end of the course you just put the questions and your answer in a doc and send it through canvas. You do have to give 2 speeches. One is about you & an informative

She is the most amazing professor I ever had!! She makes her lectures fun. The workload is very easy, nothing hard. The only thing is that there are 2 speeches you have to do in front of class: 1 about you & 1 informative (counts as the final exam). I would DEFINITELY recommend taking her!!
