Helps make the class interesting with real life stories.
Make lecture interesting and loves LSU! Just read the chapters and understand what is going on and you will do great.. Read !
excellent teacher. uses visual power point slides as lectures that you can get off the internet. uses pop quizes but they are 5 questions each. test are 50 muti choice.
Wonderful instructor! If you pay attention in class and read chapters you will do well on both quizes and tests. It should be an easy A. He was very interesting and knows his stuff.
not hot points from me buddy. easy class, read the powerpoints and the chapters and get 110
great teacher, well done tests
One class is hard (Professional Selling), but he is very accessible to help with projects; good tests.
Good professor.. Knows his stuff.. Can't seem to win a discussion against him!!.. Notes available online.. Would have done much better if it wasnt for ACCT 3431!!
pretty cool guy, easy tests, just make it to class so you don't miss the quizzes
Great lecturer, challenging discussions. Class mandatory due to quizes, tests MC and easy A.
Very funny teacher, easy tests, very helpful and knowledgable, would definitely take again
Excellent teacher - entertaining, fun, knows what he is talking about. Great class!
Awesome professor, he doesn't make you do a project like other professors, and he is interesting to listen to.
What a cool guy! Not an easy class, but he tells you exactly what to do to succeed. Lectures are entertaining and informative. Tests are not bad - study the online sample tests. Worst part is doing the sales presentation
very nice professor.
Great Tech! Class is entertaining. He involves students in subject matter; tests are based on concepts/definitions w/n chapters (easy study, thus easy GRADE A). My absolute favorite class to attend. He is also VERY organized using the web as an interface with students.
Excellent class. Excellent professor! Really knows his stuff and gets the class involved. Adds humor to lectures. Very organized. I enjoyed going to class every day. Tests ok as long as you study. Unannounced pop tests every so often to help out on points for class.
This might be the easiest teacher I have ever taken in my life. On the first test I went to class for the lectures but didn't study and made a 92. On the second test I skipped and didn't study and made a 76. If you fail this class you need to drop out of college right now.
Easy class, requies a presentation and proposal packet, but tells you exactly what he wants. Interesting to listen to.
Highly recommend, funny, keeps class interesting, 3 test and pop quizes EASY all from book
Was a fun summer course. Do have to give a presentation, but it's not so bad-just have to sell a product to someone. Very funny teacher-will keep you interested for the most part. Would HIGHLY recommend.
great teacher. very informative and interesting class. 2 tests and sales project at the end. highly reccomend.
so so
Super easy, funny, good class. I didn't personally didn't put forth much effort, but it's not hard to make an A if you simply attend class.
Awesome professor. I didn't make an A, but he lectures very well, keeps you entertained, and has a lot of fun with the class. Greatly encouraged to speak up in his classes.
Great teacher, loves to have fun with students, cares aboout your understanding of subject, and the material is interesting.
EXCELLENT TEACHER--VERY EASY CLASS. DONT NEED A LOT OF TIME TO STUDY IF YOU KEEP UP WITH THE READING AND DO THE ON-LINE QUIZES. TAKING HIS CLASS MADE ME DOUBLE MAJOR IN MANAGEMENT/MARKETING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Great teacher! He makes the class entertaining and can keep you interested throughout the class.
I really enjoyed this class. He is a great teacher that’s very funny. The best teacher I have ever had!
Has real world experience and make's marketing interesting as it should be.
He is funny and interesting and the gets the whole class to participate.
He's a nice guy, but class is very boring. He gives quizes every other week and if you don't study and read you will do bad in the quiz and it lowers your grade a lot, even though he drops the 2 lowest quizes. Test are tricky and you have to study a TON if you want an A.
You have to study for the test - study the quizes at the end of each chapter and the power point slides and you should be OK. He does not curve the test (mult choice) even if no one makes an A. Homework assignment almost every week for each step of your formal business proposal. Seller role play can be difficult if your not prepared.
Great teacher! Love this class he is so funny. A must take teacher. Test are all MC. He has a great web page up to date. Example for other teachers to follow.
class turned out surprising easy if you study the online quizzes & key terms for tests while he lectures them. otherwise pop quizzes can hurt. kept lectures interesting by giving random "marketing research" questions for participation. he has great online website for reference & additional info.
Good TEacher. He is funny, and can be a little shy outside of class. Great explainer over material, and its amazing how he knows soo much about everything...Test are multiple choice. IF you read the chapters, and study the online quizes you can easily pass w/ a B or Even a A.
Outstanding professor! Nice guy and very approachable. Wish there were more like him. Made the class interesting and kept everyone involved. Must attend, participate in class and do the case studies. Tests are not tricky (multiple choice and short answer), but not flat out easy. Study the slides, book, practice tests, etc. you should do fine.
This class did take a lot more time than I thought. Not the easiest class. 2 MC tests, 1 big project. Hard grader.
I've studied with him 2 semesters with 2 different courses. His lectures are very easy to understand but you can not survive if you don't read the book carefully and do the quizz on the website. I got an A- for MKTG3031 and B+ for MKTG3332. He grades really hard on the presentation. No bonus.
Class requires lots of study time. Prof is very indepth.
Do not take this professor! He doesn't give reviews for his test. He tells you to look over the questions that are from the online textbook, but don't use them as a test guide, yet SOME OF THEM ARE ON THE TEST. Test are very broad covering several chapters, he just goes over his powerpoint slides, nothing is really ever learned. Don't take him!
Sits on his chair and does not move the whole three hour class except on break to get a soda and snack. Does not explain work clearly and just judges the students, like he is superior to everyone. He also likes to brag about himself and on the "so called" great sales jobs he has had over his lifetime. The class agrees this is a prof. to avoid.
Quizzes every other week. Studying for the test is a nightmare. Had to read book, study online quiz, and study his power points. Still made a B after hours and hours of study. Very time consuming test preparation since no review or focus point is given for tests.
he's a pretty good teacher, but grades pretty tough.
Professor likes to argue with students, which is somewhat stressful to sit through. does not state specifically what he wants on his homework. Tests are harder than they need to be. he is actually a very good lecturer, when he is not arguing with students.
Read the chapters before class and you will ace all the quizes. Read the chapters before the test and you will ace them. This class is a sinch. Not long papers, no required homework. Just read the chapters.
Robinson had interesting lectures that relate to reality. Gives random quizzes so you MUST pay attention...absences aren't a good thing! Notes come from power-points, but you have to read through the book! Tests can be tricky. Made a B!
Took the online class. Overall I enjoyed the class, his WebCT page is very well laid out. make sure you read and prepare for the test/quizzes bc you wont have time to use your textbook.
I learned more by not going to class, reading the textbook and filling in the notes than going to class. He gets in rants and discussions, which cause the class to be get out late. Even then he will announce there is a quiz. What if we had a class after this?!? His test are easy that good, but I would recommend taking this class online.
In order to get an A in this class you HAVE to read the chapter before class and outline it according to the power points he provides you. Class is laid-back, engaging, and fun. He gives you 8 pop quizzes and you get to drop your lowest two. Study your notes weekly! The tests are about 50 m/c questions and they aren't THAT bad.
This is how a college class should be. Only graded on 3 tests and the average of your quiz grades. No final paper or project due... and thankfully no group project assigned. Took him online and he posts his lectures online, which helps. Tests are kind of difficult, but read his lectures and you will do fine.
Overall a nice guy.
Hard class. I took it online and he wasn't very communicative like past professors I've taken online. Tests are long and hard. Discussion questions are interesting. Grades on curve.
DONT TAKE HIM, RUN,RUN, I changed the whole school because of his way of teaching.
I take education very seriousely, The worst grade I got in my entire life was 88%, after taking this class with Mr. Leory, I got my first "D". Avoid him, run away if you care about your GPA, and don't believe anthing good about him, basiclly he is the worst @ UHCL.
Please ignore the previous 3 negative posts. Robinson is a great professor. He made the class fun and interesting through discussions. There were 6 pop quizzes (lowest is dropped), a class-participation grade, and 3 exams (the last one is semi-cumulative). He grades very fairly. Study and keep up with info on PowerPoints and you will do just fine.
Worst instructor @ UHCL, you have no choice because he is the only one who teaches MKTG 3031, He does NOT grade fairly. Advice; when you receive your grades after each exam, go to his office and review the answers, you will see a big change on your grade, that means he does NOT grade fairly.
Took the class online, grade based on 3 tests and 6 quizzes. No discussion questions, no essays, no projects. Do the reading, review the lectures, you should be fine.
Lectures from powerpoints that are also on blckboard. You don't need the book, but I enjoyed having mines. Test are medium. Study the powerpoints & you'll pass. Just don't wait til the LAST minute to study. You have pop quizes (which in the syllabus he tells you which week to expect the pq). He drops the lowest grade. 2-way communication in class.
Great teacher. Funny. Has PPT he goes over, just add some notes as he is speaking and you will do fine.
Has lots of experience in marketing and will relate that to subjects in the class. Going to class is critical for participation grade. The lectures are based on the power points that he makes available online. Tests are pretty simple if you study notes from lecture. Hardly used the textbook except to look up definitions. Overall a great class.
his 6 quizes and 3 exams has nothing to do with what is in the lectures slides or textbook, totally different questions (puzzle type). I don't know how can someone test for something that you didn't know/learn. Students are confused and complained because of his quizes and exams. Be prepared for this and don't be surprised.
Took an online class in Fall 2010 - failed. Material was hard; tests seemed impossible. Took again Spring 2012 - the book is great (recommend!), 3 tests, 4 discussion. Got an A-. Tests are fair, but have some tricky questions. Read book and slides carefully - don't overlook details.
This class was impossible to pass. I failed and I agree with the quiz and exams not being in line with the text and all analytical. I would not take this professor unless you are a genius.
His tests & exams are a little difficult. make sure you come to class and participate. participation is a big grade.just come to class and take good notes and stude whats on the notes!
The material is not hard but the way the teacher presents and tests you on the material is what makes it hard. I took this question online I read, made my own notes took practice quizzes I managed a flat B - I'm not sure what I could have done better to improve my grade. You don't get feedback on quizzes or tests. Take at your own risk.
Took this class online. Content is organized and you know what you need to do. You must read the chapters fully in order to do well on the quizzes and tests. I thought he was a great professor overall.
Very thorough lecturer; pop quizess to check for understanding and attendance; 3 exams Professor is recommended
If you are wanting to learn, you should not take this class online. I asked for help and he told me to talk to other students. He writes an update e-mail every week and that is it. You have to read two chapters a week and take a quiz thurs-sat, and the questions are not just derived from book. You have toCOMPLETELY understand the material. NO HELP!
Great Professor, you have to show up to class. If you read the textbook and attend class the tests should be a piece of cake I made an A without really studying just pay attention read and go to class.
Taken online. Without background in marketing I wouldn't have done as well. Course is self taught with no feedback. A brief weekly email synopsis of what we were covering is the only communication with professor. Quiz/Test questions weren't always out of notes/book. Since there was no lecture, I don't know where they came from. Avoid if possible.
Avoid this class if possible. No review he just expects you to read the book and study the powerpoint and take the quiz. The quizzes are only 5 questions with 1 ATTEMPT. Study the powerpoints. I would not recommend this class to first year students.
DONT TAKE HIM AT ALL!!!! He doesnt care about the students. The quizzes online were only one attempt. The test were really not on the powerpoints that he tells you to study. And to "help" students out he drop lowest grade with the middle grade. Really!!! Avoid if possible!
Absolutely useless professor. Doesn't care about students. Speaking of curving scores, that's a big joke. He never does anything in favor of students. Avoid his classes at all times.
very interesting lectures, fair grading, and lots of real life examples in class. take notes and you will pass with a good grade.
Avoid. His lectures are using real life examples but does not apply to the test. Not helpful. Always on the go..
Fairly Easy class, reminded me of undergrad, much memorization. Multiple choice tests? Yes, please!
Must attend class. If miss class and quiz given, you get zero on quiz. Not as bad as sounds as at least lowest quiz grade is dropped. Not lenient, but is very fair on tests. If questions not clear, gives you credit for them. Has extensive real life work experience for large companies. Great sense of humor. Interactive class that is not boring.
Super easy A. There are a few quizzes online, open book, you have 15 minutes. One midterm and one final. Literally just studied his power point slides and any terminology you don't understand just look up in the book, understand the power points and you'll get an A.
He doesn't help you at all. If you take him all you do is read. There were only 2 test; a midterm and a final. There were 6 quizzes also, but the 2 test were most of your grade. If you bomb one you are out of luck. Each test was over 10 chapters!!! A lot of info to cover in only 60 questions!
If you attend class and take notes, it's an easy A. Everything on his tests will be from his powerpoint lectures and he has a condensed version on blackboard that tells you what to study for. Gives grades based on participation, but it's difficult to participate if you sit in the very back. Go to class, and don't be late.
I just finished my online class with Dr. Robinson and I took it as an elective for my major. The class is not an easy grade to say the least, but with a lot of studying you will pass! If you expect easy is not the class for you. It involves reading the chapters, taking notes, quizzes and 2 test. I enjoyed it personally very informative.
This class wasn't bad at all. There are two exams and all test questions come from Powerpoints, so use them as a study guide. Grade consists on the two tests and four discussion questions.
I took MKTG3301 online. Let me say, I have taken numerous online classes but this was the most organized class ever. You know exactly what to do and expect. There is no guessing in this class. The layout was 3 quizzes, midterm, 3 quizzes, and the final. He even offered extra credit! Just read the chapters, use his study tips & you'll do great
Lectures are clear and interesting. Tests are multiple choice. One of my favorite classes and easy A if you go to class and try.
By far the best professor I've had thus far of my academic career. Makes the subject interesting and is absolutely hilarious. Highly recommend for a required class or fun elective. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he factors it into your grade. I made a B+ but would have gotten an A if I put more effort in.
Very test heavy- for analytical thinkers who don't do well with multiple choice questions, stay away. read chapters, 6 grades; 2 tests & 4 discussions grades taken (write a on a discussion topic and comment on 4 others' discussions). No help available for online students, he isn't willing to help and he most certainly doesn't teach anything.
Never bought the book, you don't need it. He provides everything online in an easy to follow order, plus he has little videos for each section. There are 6 online quizzes, they are easy. and two exams. He gave extra credit if you create a resume and submit it to career services. Study the power-points, and the quiz questions, you will do great.
He is very cocky, but he's funny. He didn't seem to like me too much, but didn't let that show during class. He was entertaining and got the info across.
I took the online class. You have to get the text book and read it. As long as you read chapters, power points and take notes you should be OK. 4 discussion posts 2 multiple choice exams - 60 questions each Exams and discussion get tougher as you move through the course
I just took his final today. I was a little intimidated in the beginning since i am not from here and MKTG has a lot of vocab., and I didn't do as good as I wanted to in this class since there was too much going on, but Prof Robinson is the absolute BEST. He KNOWS how to teach and gives great lectures. He is hilarious too :)
He grades the discussion boards and you have to follow the specific guidelines. Read, read, read for the exams! The midterm was easier than the final. Some of the questions are direct and others are more scenario questions. Overall, you must keep up with the reading and material. Work for the grade.
Tests are too hard. Exams have nothing to do with his lectures. His PowerPoints are very limited. You have to read the book.
100% Online course. Professor provided powerpoints, videos and we read the book. 5 ? quiz every other week, midterm and final were all that was graded. Read, read, practice quiz questions, know vocab and you will do fine. I barely read anything and made a B. Kind of common sense course if you have work experience.
There were 2 tests and 6 HW assignments. The tests were worth 40% each and the HW was worth 20% total. The class was an easy A, but be ready to read the book. No videos of lectures, there are only powerpoints.
Lots of reading! Make sure to keep up with your readings. Six quizzes and no extra credit given. Your test grade is all based on how many points you accumulate with the tests (only two) and quizzes. That's it. Lectures on power point but you always have to make extra notes. He gives curves. Just keep up with readings and make sure to take notes!
Easy class to take for an A. The test were not that difficult, however they were the majority of your grade. The only other items that affect your grade are the quizzes, which are few and worth a very small amount. Everything was straight forward and laid out for you from the beginning. Also, he does grade with a curve on the exams.
Took him my first semester at UHCL. Wish I could take him again! There are 3 major test in the class which are easy as long as you study the power points and the definitions from the book. I never read the whole text just the topics from the powerpoint; I made flashcards for each topic. The test are in 3 sections and no comprehensive test is given.
Participation is your extra credit If you're shy, get over it. I bought the text, but we use powerpoint slides. I haven't really used the book. I got an old version of the text he said only ch 4 was different. Lectures are great.
Online class. Read textbook and power points. Take the quizzes, and then two tests. Very easy and at your own pace. He allowed used to get 30 extra bonus points by getting an optional marketing certification. Easy class and great topic (Social Media Marketing)
3 test, 6 pop quiz(2 lowest quiz drop), and 2 critical thinking ( theres no way to study for that). Test are easy(50 mutiple choice), but theres no review for the test, no clue on what to study. Each test are about 6 chapter, so you have to study all the material. Participation is extra credit, there are a few other easy extra.
Grading criteria is really simple to understand and extra credit is given depending the Marketing class you take him for. Weekly quizzes are a breeze and exams are not really challenging. Provides PowerPoints on all chapters which are a really helpful study tool along with reading the chapters. Really solid choice as a professor, wont regret it
Great Professor but get READY TO READ! He does no written Assignments just quizzes they are five quizzes and TWO test the midterm and the Final is not comprehensive. If you are taking the course online he uses PROCTORING only for the exams not the quizzes. Overall an EASY A if you read the chapters
Awesome teacher. Easy A if you read and take care of your assignments. Tests are easy and straightforward. Easy assignments as well. Took him for Marketing 3301, happy I did.
Real nice guy three exams, some small pop quizzes, and 3 small activieties. class participation is required no textbook. Take in class otherwise take online. Really funny guy
study the powerpoints for the exams and read the book! you will do just fine. JUST READ AND LEARN! study! 2 exams: midterm & final. 6 quizzes. The quizzes are easy. don't listen to anyone complaining. study, learn, believe in yourself, and you will pass. his syllabus is very clear. would take again, oh wait I am taking him again but for MKTG 4391.
if you dont care about your grade you should take him. he is funny and really know what he talking about but his test was really heavy and no reviews for 6 chapters. test 1 avg was 75 test 2 avg was 73 i drop after second test cause i care about my gpa. also participation grade is the avg of your total grade. no extra credit
Out of the classes I have taken online at UHCL, this was one of the easier classes. He has quizzes every other week, a Midterm, and a non-comprehensive Final. He gives you powerpoints to do your notes off of but does suggest reading everything in the chapter. He also gives a nice review powerpoint. I do suggest reading and taking notes. Easy class.
Online course consisted of PPTs that outlined the textbook. Gotta read and study on your own to pass. 2 tests of equal points were 60 multiple choice. 6 quizzes worth little were 5 T/F questions. His emails/feedback are so irritably automated/inflexible.
This professor is very organized in his online class. Everything is graded immediately and he is extremely responsive to emails. TAKE HIS COURSE!
READ PP'S READ MATERIAL. Homework is met to help me practice, but my brain sees it more as you need this to not fail. I rather study, create my own notes and go over them everyday. He has quizzes every Friday, 1 midterm and final. Those are your only grades. Study! Make friends and study with them! Study quiz questions!
Professor Robinson provides a clear syllabus/schedule and does not stray from it. The material is not hard, you just have to read the textbook and his supplemental PPs. The only complaint I have is that his quizzes close at 6pm rather than 11:59pm, and his announcements are copy and pasted with sometimes inaccurate/outdated info.
6 quizzes 3 exams 1 extra credit. Unlike other class, I barely sense his presence. no BB or recorded lectures. Just Powerpoint and some youtube. Exams mostly from quizzes and PP. Not a hard class.
6 quizzes and 3 Exams (which are 90% quiz questions). He also offers a small certification for 20 extra credit points that's free to get. He opens things week by week so that it's easy to stay on track of what assignments are due. Quizzes are 5 questions and come straight from the pp's. Really easy class.
This professor is very easy going, You have a quiz every two weeks which are fairly easy. The exams are little tough, but as long as you study you will do good on them. He offers a huge extra credit assignment that can boost your grade tremendously!
This could be an exciting class with the interesting subject matter, but this course is boring. It is just reading and tests. The tests are basic bank questions that the textbook provides. I'm not sure why there is even a teacher for this course. With no projects or discussions, this is just reading with automated tests no teacher involvement.
I have taken this professor for 2 different classes and both were very laid back. There was not much work, and he gives you PowerPoints to study that are word for word what he asks on the test. I would definitely take his classes!
took this class as an elective in the summer, wasn't a blow off but def wasn't difficult. consisted of 4 short quizzes & 3 exams. he posts links to powerpoints for each chapter as a review. as long as you review the powerpoints, exams aren't bad at all. you don't need the book, save your money. also offers extra credit by doing an easy certificate!
He is always making our class laugh, and he tells good stories that correspond with the lectures. His powerpoints are literally word for word for the test. USE THEM AS YOUR STUDY GUIDE, MAKE QUIZELTS 4 EACH, AND YOU'LL PASS! There are 3 exams, 6 quizzes & he offers this easy extra certificate worth 20 pts! TAKE HIM!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT! (:
I took this class online and in order to pass the test you must read the book and review the Power points. All test are proctored. Overall, i really liked this class but just be ready to put in the work to pass!
Easy class. Professor does not teach and it is just reading textbook and powerpoint
Very straightforward and clear. As long as you follow the PowerPoints and keep up with the bi-weekly quizzes it is very easy to pass this class. I have recommended him to my friends. He does offer 2 opportunities for extra credit which I recommend doing the first 2 weeks since there are no assignments during this time. I would take him again.
He is alright. Tests and quizzes are from his PPT. Don't really need the book. Adds videos and articles with each chapter for better understanding. 3 tests w/50qs 80 min w/ProctorU. 6 Quizzes 5qs 15 min not proctored, 2 extra credits. Easy class to pass, I could of done better but got overwhelmed with other classes. Grading is based on 360points.
Have had Dr Robinson for a few classes. Read the book and study the PowerPoints, you will do fine in this class. Graded on 6 quizzes and three tests. Very strict on deadlines. Expects students to be responsible for knowing their deadlines and when things are due, but he will send out email reminders. I do recommend him as an instructor.
All you need to pass is the powerpoints he provides, the exams are straight from there. do NOT buy the textbook it isn't needed. This class requires a lot of discipline because he has no lectures, he just opens up the weekly content and you study from there. 3 exams (proctoru),quizzes, and he had extra credit opportunities. strict on deadlines!
I have taken this professor multiple times and have had the same experience every time I have taken his class. I recommend taking his class.
Took him for multiple online courses- he is a fantastic professor. The textbook is not really needed, just study his PPTs HEAVILY and you will pass the exams. All 3 exams are based on those PPTs. There were 3 exams, 6 quizzes, and 2 EC opportunities. He is fast at replying to emails and is very helpful when it comes to learning the material.
I've taken this professor a couple of times. The only thing I dislike is that he only allows you to take exams from 5am thursday and 5pm friday. I asked to take an exam early once due to a schedule conflict and was told no. He does offer extra credit. Very responsive. Study PP's for exams
Textbook is not required but I still purchased it after bombing the first exam going off his PP.There are 3 exams via ProctorU,6 quizzes & 2 EC.This class is not bad but you have to read the chapters and PP religiously!I could've made a better grade but honestly couldn't get engaged in this class. There are no exam reviews which suck.
I really looked forward to this course. But there is absolutely 0 interactive content. It is borderline impossible to retain anything. No test reviews, or even review outlines suggesting areas/concepts to review either. You can re-read every single PowerPoint and textbook chapter prior to exam day, but it still will not be enough. Good luck.
This class was really fun and easy! I did miss a quiz which took a huge hit to my grade due to the lack of busy work. You can get a lot of extra credit if you complete a certificate on Hubspot (DO IT)! The professor is very good at communicating and sends weekly announcements to remind you of upcoming due dates and exams.
Amazing and charismatic professor! All material for exams and quizzes is covered in lectures, which are entertaining and interactive as he challenges you to think critically and will ask "why?" multiple times after you answer a question to ensure you understand the material. No homework, grade is determined off 3 exams and 10 quizzes,
Really easy class if manage your time well as you have to teach yourself all the material. Professor gives weekly updates to ensure your doing your work on time. You can do well on the exams with just the PowerPoints, but I recommend getting the textbook as it goes far more in depth on the topics discussed and better prepares you for the exams.
So, Leroy has been a professor for a long time. After a while, these guys get too comfortable at the university, and some people like old Leroy should never be in positions of power. He lied about his attendance and needed clarification about the course. I wish Leroy all the best and hope he can find his inner peace.
If you miss class, you will miss the notes. There is NO homework or study guide at all, The quizzes, are 5 questions each but every 3-4 chapters, they don't help at all. The exams are VERY heavy concepts. He does extra credit but they don't help if you fail 2 out of 3 exams, since that's all you're being graded on. He does NOT CURVE at all.
Pretty easy class, just study the powerpoint for the test and don't miss the quizzes. Quizzes and test open Thursday 5am - Friday 11 pm. if this will be a problem for you look into another professor.
DO NOT TAKE. Online students have to teach themselves through PowerPoints, no homework to apply anything. 1 5Q quiz every 3-4 chapters then 3 50Q super hard proctored exams. Very hard timelines (5am Thur-3pm Fri), and students had to petition for longer time frames for exams. Offers 15 points on grade extra credit so people can pass. Terrible 0/10
A pretty straightforward class if you stay on top of the work. The PowerPoints are key, but I also found Unstuck study helpful for test prep. Exams are open for a limited window, so be mindful of the schedule.
You will need to read A LOT every week, as you will fail if you don't. What made me give him this rating in particular is the fact that he did NOT take responsibility after removing a quiz grade that was "not" supposed to be part of the final grade. Taking away crucial points which are necessary to get a good grade or even pass the course.
Told him i was sick and needed something to take notes on since the powerpoints he uploaded were half blank for the most important concepts. He told me to look at the syllabus. No class engagement at all. Would never reccomend
Very easy class! Some people would say the simulation was hard, but it would never take me more than 1 hour to complete a round, sometimes it would take me 10 mins. Exams and lectures are easy! Easy elective!
Chapter Readings, online ppt lectures, 3 Exams and 1 large MKTG simulation. Simulation is easy, but time consuming. Tests are hard. He does a poor job preparing you for them. There are no test reviews, I read all chapters and ppts, still failed 1 and barely passed 2. Many test questions weren't covered. Must read all chapters and ppts to pass.
Prof robinsons online mktg class was useless, u learn from readings from a textbook, some of the slides were ok but js emphasized textbook excerpts.exams based entirely on chapters and slides which is meh but he didnt do anything for the class except have weird deadlines. prof is really not there to teach u but u can get a good grade if ur willing
So long as you show up to the lectures and take notes, the class is fairly easy! He grades by very few things - 3 exams and 6 quizzes, which can make mistakes hard to recover from, but all of them are based on the lecture slides. His lectures are very fun and informative to listen to, and it's one of the classes I actively looked forward to.
The professor did less than the bare minimum to "teach" us the curriculum through the assignments and resources he provided us. There were three exams, six quizzes, and two optional extra credit assignments in total. This was a full length, regular semester, and those were the only assignments he gave. The professor does not prepare you for exams.
PowerPoint lectures. 3 exams total. The online simulation can be really easy, but sometimes time consuming. Overall great professor!
Did you recently sign up for this class? Drop it. Now. I am not kidding you, this class had high difficulty and I don't want you to end up like me. He was worried people cheated on his quizzes and changed their format halfway through the semester. only two extra credit opportunities, and NO REVIEWS. He also uses ProctorU.
