Interesting, but a pompous u know what- not fair, nice nice-- he like to eat the Hostess Snow**** w. coconuts. about the ozone layer depleting from him, the lynx and the hare, and that powerplants KILL our environment.
He will make you work. Labs can be hard. His tests you also have to study for. This tree hugger takes his job serious. Wolfie RIP.
The hardest teahcer I ever had. He thinks that his students have nothing else better to do then study for his tests. DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS GUY.
The class is no that hard but the teacher is hard and difficult, especially if u are taking this class on-lne. If u want to get a good grade don't take him.
He makes the class harder than it is. He is never satisfy with your work.
He's a decent professor..I took him in the summer and I aced it...all I did was study...try that sometime. If you're willing to work you will do good. Oh yeah..don't take his online course cos he said he's mean to his online students.

Had him a while ago. One of few teachers I hated taking. He makes things harder then they are and does not like when you want to simplfy them. The class is not hard but he is horrible.

First class I actually HATED taking.... he's so mean and I actually got into a fight with him via email where he was extremely critical and obnoxious! DO NOT TAKE CLASSES FROM THIS MAN.... HE IS EVIL!!!! He makes the material so difficult and unclear and make everything EXTREMELY difficult!
A Don Not take professor. Not nice. Fails half of the class. Extremely difficult. If you have a disability he tells you from day one to leave the class because he is going to fail you. Very biais. Should be teaching at a masters/phd level at a university.
he is tough, but this class was just average, not super hard like people make it out to be. if u are looking for lame high school like classes (which alot of bergen classes are), this isnt the one. it is a lot work, but guess what? thats what realcollege is! he is funny, but does NOT take any crap.

Doesnt have a clue what he is doing and what he wants from his students. Unclear and very unhelpfull, has some serious mental problems and goes off from time to time. If you are a good looking girl, u can take his class because he likes young good looking women. everyone else DONT TAKE HIS CLASSES!!
One of the worst, least understanding teachers I have ever had. If someone were majoring in science and/or attending Yale I'm sure they wouldn't find this class to be odd, but for some reason he's stuck at BCC- DON'T TAKE THIS GUY
The class is easy , get the study guide and read it!!! Everything on the test is in the study guide , all his lectures are in ............THE STUDY GUIDE.
extremely abrassive for no reason. not a particularly tough class, but he's difficult just for the sake of stirring up tension.he continuously belittles students (1/2 the time its funny) but perhaps he should consider taking a look in the mirror. ill prob end up with a C...

i registered for his class, but then i came here and read that he is terrible, so i was worried. but when i went to the class i was pleasently surprised! he is the best teacher i've ever had! here is very very knowladgeble. his tests are breeze. but you have to do the work! he is funny as hell.

AH! Nightmare. Tells the students that he will fail you on the first day - he does. Very NASTY - don't ask for help, he wont give any. He makes his own rules as he goes along. Doesn't allow you to ask questions in class. - or gets mad. Try to Drop if possible.
I took many classes on line (succesfully) - this is the first (and I hope the last one) I've failed to finish. Very unpleasant e-mails and comments, no help, unclear sylabus and even more unclear quiz and lab requirements. Student beware! It's a first time I've met teacher that won't give you a hand
This guy is great! Multiple choice tests. Beware though, the quizes are still somewhat hard. All you have to do is go to the lectures and pay attention. Study Guide is a must. Do not take as an online class as the lectures are really key and you have to show up for Labs any ways. Funny guy!

The worst teacher I ever had!!!! Do not take this class. I know of at least three people who had to drop his class. The most unforgiving and rude teacher. Do yourself a favor and don't take this teacher no matter what.
Professor Lynn is one of those professor I will not want to encounter again. He is nasty to his students, he suffers of mood swings. He has preference over certain people and even tells them what is going to be on the test. His comments and criticism is not constructive, but despiteful and arrogant. The only good thing, he is knows the subjec well
I think this guy is great. he is a pretty hard teacher but i wouldnt expect this course to be simple. hes a good teacher who knows his stuff.hegets very into what hes teaching.stay on his good side. hes crazy and cracks me up.give him a chance i like him a lot. dont be late to LABS!<3
I think Dr. Lynn was a great teacher . You just have to take notes. He reviews what's going to be on every test and he's really funny. Just don't be a smarta** cause He doesn't take crap.
Never had such a jerk for a teacher! Online discussions are rediculous. Dont even get me sarted on the labs.. i wrote sooo much and did everything and never got full credit. he always takes off a point and says u didnt put enough. Sarcastic, rude, unclear,. told me directly that he has no respect for those who take the online bio.don't take him!!
The only people who actually like this guy either are the same age as him or got away with cheating because if you think he is a good teacher then you have serious problems! Not helpful at all, faild his class once.. got stuck with him another semester.. got a 72 on my first exam and he writes on my paper "I see some things haven't changed"
terrible!!! I was one of the few students that actually bothered going to class and on time and he gave me a c. I passed all of his tests with B and higher. try to figure that one out!! so nasty.. i was unble to make a lab becuase my daughter was ill and would not cut me a break. i lost 20 points. no clue or respect for hard working people. dont ta
I think Dr. Lynn is one of the rudest professors I have ever had. I have never even met him. His labs are ridiculous and so are his discussions. He basically wants you to sit in front of your computer to do posts. I took an online class because I don't have 2-3 hours a day to sit and be in class. I would not recommend him to anyone.
Dr.Lynn is one of the best teachers I have had at Bergen. All these complainers on this site must not have studied one second or else they would have passed. He teaches dynamically and clearly. You actually learn in his class! Does not enjoy rude students. But really, who would? Grow up people, this is college not kindergarten!
One of the best teachers took him for gen bio and env. Makes lectures and labs interesting and will go out of his way to help you. Unless you are a complete idiot there is NO WAY you can fail. Show up for lectures and study the notes and its an easy A or B. I highly recommend him, could not imagine taking my biology classes with any other teacher.
Took this as on online class. I work full time and can't go to classes. He was rude and not helpful. His emails were nasty, and he wouldn't listen. Tried to argue with me about how I emailed labs, saying it was wrong. My husband helped me and he works in IT. I was doing nothing wrong. I passed, but would never take him again.
Dr Lynn, is good at teaching. He knows his material and you will enjoy his class. BUT his exams are very confusing and tricky. If you like challenges take him. I took him this summer 2006 I'm an "A" student but with him I got a B.
This man is a disgrace to his profession. He dresses inappropriately for a doctor. When he lectures he does not stay on one subject he is all over the place. Sorry I chose him, actually it was the only class that fit in my schedule

Do yourself a favor if you see Les Lynn anywhere in the world and he tries to make conversation with you ...punch yourself in the face cause it will feel better than actually having a conversation with this moran.
Took'im for Summer2. His class was almost always interesting, if you don't give a**** about bio or the environment take astronomy or something. Tests are easy if you study. This is a legit college course. DONT challenge him, and don't pass out in his class. I made both mistakes and it cost me. I got a C. Made me laugh to tears sometimes. Take it!!
If you get this prof PLEASE RUN!! DONOT TKE HIM! he is misleading on test, and he has an attitude problem,, he doesnot care about his students, all he gives his students are C!!! So if you take him dont expect to get anything else but a C..
Bipolar.. sometimes could be cool but then 2 seconds later would completly blow his stack and totally take somebody apart like hes was better then them. You could study for 3 strait weeks 10 hours a day and still not get an A on his tests.

i think lyn is a great teacher. people are just too sensitive. if you can take a joke you do well in this class. he goes over exactly what you need to know and the labs are very easy. and you NEVER get homework.
I just took his class this fall and he is one of the greatest teachers in bergen. I know his test is hard but if you study all from his study guild and pay attention what he said, it's not problem to get A. He knows how to teach. Get him and experience real college.

He gets his kicks by putting people down rationalizing his crude remarks by saying "im only kidding" He pokes fun at his students character and academic interests. Aviod taking his class at all costs!

Great Teacher, Everything about his lectures are life changing. You learn things in this class that are so interesting that you will remember them for a long time. Obviously if you don't give a hoot about the environment and don't show too much interest then you won't do as good, but hey, who told you to take the class?? idiots, I did get a A
Just a quick note. I went on to graduate from WPC and had to take a praxis test to teach high school. If not for what I learned in Dr. Lynn's class, I would have never passed. Kudos to you Dr. Lynn and thank you very much. Stop complaining and start learning from him, he is a wealth of knowledge.
Fantastic teacher! If you study and pay attention in his class there is no reason you should not do well. He covers all the material thoroughly in class. He is also funny and entertaining. He does not "have favorites", he just has no tolerance for people who act like they don't give a crap and don't study.

If u study and pay attention in class, u will get an A.He doesnt assign any reading.He lectures from PowerPoint slides.Each slide is already in your Study Guide so all u have to do is show up to class and write down the important stuff & study from there. There is NO HOMEWORK. HE is BIOPOLAR. One minute he's awesome and the next he's yelling.
Not a good professor at all!! Does not care about students only the one he favors!! He is not helpful in anyway! I studied for all his tests and quizes and still failed!! I passed all my quizes all my labs and some of my tests and he saw that i was trying and still failed me! Do not take him!
Prof is SO funny, if you have his humor! must go to class to take his notes in the study guide that HE made. which is just all his powerpoint slides. do not be late for lab. MUST study for his tests to remember details. interesting material tho. i would take him again. he is hard only if you dont pay attention and you expect to do nothing.
He is hilarious!!! I'm still taking the class. So far, 2 Bs on tests and 2 As on quizzes. I find the class very interesting. You actually learn about the environment. He's very smart. I'd recommend but you do need to go to class and DON'T BE LATE for labs. He WILL NOT let you in. As long as you pay attention I don't see y you wudn't get atleast a B
Relatively easy, all of his tests/quizzes are straight out of study guide and lab manual. With mild studying it is easy to get a good grade. But you HAVE to be on time to lab or he will not let you in.

His reviews for tests are really not helpful because he basically goes through it fast..asks if you have any questions and if you get the courage to ask a question he will 95% of the time make you feel stupid for asking..no one even asks any questions because they are afraid of his explosive hebavior. I took Dr.Lynn in my first semester at BCC. His hard/easy if you look over your notes. His lectures are boring so drink coffee. Labs are somewhat hard if you pay attention and know what your doing, test are hard if you don't study 2weeks before the test. Has corny jokes, lol.
Dr. Lynn is a great teacher. He really sparked my interest in Environmental Biology. The only way you are going to pass his class is to actually study. He gives no homework, so its up 2 you to study. I usually take into consideration that it is the students responsibility to get a good grade not the proffessor, however this proffesor was the worst proffessor Ive ever had. He is rude, he yells a lot, he expects so much of his students and if you go talk to him about any problems you may have in the class, he will be olbivious to anything you say

actually a very good professor. He's very passsionate about his subject. He does take exception to those that put forth little or no effort. And sometimes he will show that in a negative way. But, if you're failing his course...believe me..it's you...not him. He gives youu all the tools and the time needed. the rest is up to you.

This was a challenging class, and Dr. Lynn doesn't have time for bullsh*t. If you're going to study, you'll be fine. If you're not, then you're going to fail. There's not much to it. Yes, he yells at students, but that's because they are stupid and don't pay attention. The kids in BBC are moronic herbs, could you blame the guy for yelling at them?

Dr. Lynn is animated, entertaining and knowledgeable-an excellent professor-passionate about his subject! He has high expectations and will not lower his standards to please lazy students. If you are in college to learn something-TAKE HIS CLASS-HE'S GREAT! And I'll tell you a secret I learned-his bark is worse than his bite. He has a good heart!
