She is a hard, but good teacher. She expects alot of her students, but she gives the students the guidance they need to do good in her class. She has a bit of an ego and will unintentionally make her students feel inferior to her. But otherwise an ok prof

She was very easy in Children's Literature. But I have heard she is more difficult in "real" english classes. In my class she was friendly, helpful, and enjoyable.

The first day of class she may seem like she's going to bite your head off, but then you will find that she is very easy-going and approachable. She makes conferences with students which I think is very helpful.

Loves her subject. Seems a little "stand-offish" but is willing to help her students.

She is cool. I really learned about from her. Id recommend anyone to take this course with her.

Great professor. She really knows her subject. The class was a lot of work but the assignments were meaningful so it was all worth it. She is a fair grader and each class was diverse and interesting (we didn't just so the same thing everyday). I really enjoyed her class and would recommend it to anyone.

She is passionate about literature and helped me to find a deeper appreciation for it. She is also very organized.

a typical english class but with only 3essays. she does spend alot of time on grammar and attendance. dont be tardy. pick interesting topics for your esays--shes loves that. i got an A in the class and on the huge research paper got a C. its possible to pass her class w/ ease just make sure do all homework.

My frist assumption about her was that she's not the type of person who's very approachable. After a few weeks, I've come to the conclusion that she's really not that scary and once you start talking to her she's really nice.

I took her Literature and Children class and it was a lot of fun, we shared our favorite children's books, read juvenile literature and wrote about it, and made our own lesson plans for literature with children. She was very nice and a good teacher.

I am very thankful to have her as a teacher. The other teachers i have are pretty bad. She gave me hope in our teaching system. I really hope to get an A but if I don't it won't be her fault, she is an amazing teacher.

It'll help to lower your stress level when you realize she is trying to help you to succeed at what you are doing. She is very helpful. I suggest you sign up for concurrent enrollment in the English lab as well. She works there as well and can help you with your papers.

I loved this class! Great Professor! If you do your work, and put a decent effort into your essays, you will do well in this class. She doesn't come across as very approachable, but after you talk to her a little bit, she's very nice. Highly reccomend her :)

Very helpful, nice, pretty teacher. Interesting class. She makes ENGWR easy. If you want to learn grammar, sentence structure, and etc then she can difinitely be of great help. Very easy class as long as you do the homework and do the readings.

Shes gives the appearance that shes mean but she does have nice personality. Shes a hard grader on essays and you need to read all of the assingned book work. The class was mildly interesting and it wasn't too difficult. I'd reccomend her.

Mrs. Gale is very intimidating when you first meet her, she seems mean and quiet, but she just wants to make sure that the students in her class are not there to goof around. At the end of the course she loosens up and is very nice. She's a great teacher and you can learn alot if you take her class seriously.

Lesley Gale is a really good teacher, because she is willing to listen to opinions on sentence structures, eventhough it maybe incorrect. She is very patient, which is key to success in the english language. I actually had a pretty good time in her class; moreover i learn alot of information useful for essays for other classes.

WOW! She is a fantastic teacher. I learned so much from her that it is almost astonishing! She is my favorite teacher at CRC. YOU WANT TO TAKE HER!!! Plus, she's hott so everyone is happy! YEAH!

Great teacher. Disciplined but never gives an assignment as busy work, always has a purpose. You will def. leave class with better writing & grammar skills if you follow her plan. Passionate about Eng. helpful & good sense of humor too. Makes it fun, even when it isn't. Stay on top of homework. Syllabus tells exactly what to do & when. Great class.

At first, can be intimidating but later she was much more personable. She will correct every grammar mistake in your papers but you learn from it. She has rules about attendence, especially in the begining of the semester, so make sure to show up. Oh yea, you have to write all essays or else you will be dropped.

VERY FAIR AND FUN CLASS!!

EXCELLENT TEACHER! She's a great and smooth professor. I thought the semester was going to be hard, but actually through out the semester I learn so much because she went though step by step. I would truely recommend her to anyone!!!

I absolutely hate writing and have always gotten bad grades on my essays. But Prof Gale is sooo clear as to what she needs on her essay. All of the things we do in class all helps us write our essays! I love this class. The way she teaches had made it easy for me to understand how to write improve my writing. Cares a lot of student's attendence, right on the schedule and a fair grader. In this class you're not writing "blindly" like always, instead she show you the common mistake and remind you over and over again. learned a lot from her class and great discussions too!

she treates students like if they are in a kindergarten. she is very hard. i was in the class all the time, did all the assignments with an A but still got a lower overall grade at the end of semester, not sure why.

I took her for English 51. She's a very cool and helpful teacher. It's easy to pass the class if you do all your homework and attend class everyday.

Professor Gale was an awesome teacher. Her literature class is amazing because it is very "what you think about the piece" based. The indepedent assignments were NOT harder than boot camp and I found her class very interesting. I used to really not like poetry before the class, but now I am writing my own poems and songs because of her!

Professor Gale is the best English teacher I have ever had.I had to take ENG 300 more than once.YOU WILL COME OUT OF HER CLASS BEING A BETTER WRITER.I came out of her class with more confidence in my grammar, sentence skill, and over all writing abilities. What you put into her class is what you will recieve for your final grade. very fair.

Prof Gale is really awesome and helps you open your mind to the text. Sure, if you were hoping to coast by with an easy A, then the class will seem hard, but it really isn't as long as you actually read the required text. Analyzing + class discussions were a lot of fun. :)

Very good teacher and helpful, however, she does drop people who are absent a lot.

I really enjoyed this class :) All the readings she give are interesting and they make the readers think a lot. My grammar improved a lot from this class and also clarity in writing style too. Her grading may be hard on essays but it made me get determined more to write better.:) And I got A! ;D

Mrs. Gale is a good professor. She's very clear on what she wants done, the workloads are reasonable, and the exams are in class essays. There are group assignments, in which attendance is a must. Quizzes practically every day after the first week of class. Although, I couldn't help but feel that she held a grudge against me for some reason...

Ms Gale is a great teacher.3 papers, a lot of journals to write,1 presentation(3-4mins), you will need to get the textbook for this class because we used it a lot.Make sure to do your homework and dont be late to class.. DO YOUR WORK!

Great professor. grading is hard, but her class is very interesting. She have a tutor in class in case you need help. don't be late. She takes attendance as soon as class start. recommend taking her class if you want to improve your writing.

Professor Gale was straightforward with what she wanted out of the class. Yes, there is homework every week, but it is quite easy. Just make sure you read the assignments, do your work, and do well on your weekly quizzes (which are quite easy), and it will be an easy A. Oh, and participation matters so make sure you speak up every class meeting.

Prof gale is a very understanding professor. If you are having a hard time, just ask her and she will help you. She's also a very good instructor. She make sure you understand the discussion. She always gives homework but if you follow the syllabus you'll be fine.

My all-time favorite english teacher. I really enjoyed her class, and found it very beneficial to my field of ECE. She is very thorough and cares about her students. She explains alot of information but it is great to learn.

She's nothing short of demanding but it's worth it to show up to class having done the reading, journal and participate in class. Participation matters because she wants to hear your feedback on the reading for that day. But, she understands anxiety and wont force you to speak, she encourages it though, which is what got me to participate.

I really enjoyed learning from Prof. Gale! Shes VERY detailed with discussions and really knows what shes talking about. The class load consists of quizzes, exercises, short journals, 3 midterms, and a final poster project. It may seem like a lot, but it really brings the class together and you connect closely with your peers. Take her for ENGLT!

I took Professor Gale during the summer. Expect short quizzes. Participate because a percentage of your grade depends on it. She is very helpful and answers questions that are asked. She wants to see students succeed. If you want a good ENGWR teacher take her. She gives study guides and is enjoyable. There are essays, but she wont overburden you.

Professor Gale is very detailed and knowledgeable with every piece of literature she teaches. I took her in spring 2018 and theres a lot of work in this class (quizzes, in-class work, reader-responsees, 3 tests, 1 poster project), but its so worth it. I highly recommend English majors to take her; youll learn extensively and feel more confident.

I took Prof. Gale for EngWr 300 and I could not have been happier with that class. Her quizzes are very straightforward and I think that she does an amazing job preparing you for it. Show up to class and do your homework and you will definitely pass. Homework assignments were very clear and reasonable.

This is one of the harder classes I've taken, but I've learned so many new things.

Professor Gale is absolutely delightful. Her strategy of teaching is definitely beneficial. I took her co-requisite EngWr108 and 300 course, and I enjoyed it! We read The Book of Joy, which is something I did not expect; as well as, discussed and practiced meditative exercises. If you have questions, send her an email. Dr. Gale is the sweetest!

Prof Gale is GREAT! You CAN pass the class as long as you read what she gives for the week. There's discussions every week, minimum of 250 words. Small quizzes every week that are based on module powerpoints she provides, usually about spelling, grammar, & parts of stories we read from that week. Will be 2 papers & group work during class.

When we did essays the one on one revisions she did greatly help me find common errors in my writing. She is very passionate about her work and her teaching. I can confidently say that I've learned more in this class than in some English classes in high school. Not because of the material, but rather in her style of teaching and one on one help.

There's lots of reading and quizzes based on readings. Professor is willing to help and makes sure everyone is participating. There was also weekly discussions of 250 words. There's a book that will need to be read towards the end of the semester and its a big part of your grade. Attend class because it can help with online quizzes

Class was hybrid - 1 day a week. Class isn't difficult by any means as long as you're organized and make sure you complete the weekly discussions and quizzes on time. We had three essays throughout the semester which were all pretty light. She allows late work and if I was organized I could have easily received a high A.
