Her notes are disorganized. No subtitles or anything like that, just molecules written everywhere on the paper. Her canvas page is disorganized as well. Everything for the week is set into one module and you have to scroll everywhere to find one assignment. The professor herself is very nice, but don't pick her if you like organization & structure.

Worst class ever, organizationally and just in general. She overwhelms you with so much work that you feel like you can't breathe, and constantly made mistakes and last-minute changes to assignments and exams that it just stresses you out. Dr. Bordas knows her stuff and relates content to interesting outside-world applications, but her tests do not match the level of instruction she provides. You'll go into the exam feeling prepared but come out crying. She's also completely unwilling to provide any sort of curve even though the test averages stay at 70 throughout the course. :(

I would strongly suggest not taking Dr.Bordas but unfortunately I have her next semester in 302 as well. She is kind and caring but, as many of the review have stated, she continues to be very disorganized despite saying she would work to fix this issue. Grading based on: a weekly homework assignment, a weekly quiz, 3 exams, and the final.Good luck

she's the best prof! her lectures are v engaging and you can tell she's passionate about what she teaches. all exams are FRQs and she takes the time to look at your work and gives partial credit. she doesn't care about specific number answers but if you learned the concepts. she has MANY extra credit, quiz make ups, and drops your lowest exam.

Dr. Bordas is a great professor. I noticed people liked to blame her "lack of organization" or "craziness" on their bad grades but its simply because people are lazy and don't put in the work. She gives you all the resources you could need and is VERY fair with her grading. Put in the work, let it show in your grade, and stop blaming the professor.

She gives a lot of extra credit towards the end of the semester however she is extremely disorganized and the homework load is sometimes unnecessarily too much. She makes errors in her grading and teaching often which confuses students and her tests contain material we have not learned. She's sweet but save yourself the stress and take someone else

She only has two exams which are very test-heavy. Before the first exam, I had an 85. After getting a 50% on the 1st exam my grade dropped to a 61%. In order to just pass the course I needed a 75 on the final. One test made me drop the class, so if you are not a good test taker I would suggest taking a professor with more exams so you can recover.

Dr. Bordas is a great professor! She has given out a lot of extra credit and the workload was very doable. Her teaching style can be a bit much, but if you do the work, review her PowerPoint slides. It should be easy to pass the class. Moreover, easy to reach when I needed help, and her TAs were very helpful. Definitely take this class if you can.

Bordas is a good professor. a good lecturer, and she knows her material. she can get a bit disorganized sometimes, but has so many office hours. 30% heavy weighted quizzes though. some test questions need thinking and are not straightforward. some mistakes in problem solving videos here and there. But you can for sure get an A if you study.

I won't be taking back my rating from last semester in 301...but I will say she's improved (Congrats Dr.B I know you read these, you said so in class). If you can make it through first semester, 302 will be a breeze. Only 2 exams, put in the effort any you'll be fine (maybe not an A but passing). Take the practice quizzes and review lecture slides.

Dr. Bordas's class definitely improved from the first semester. The lectures are helpful to go to, but most of the learning from this semester came from the homeworks. The homework is basically participation and she gives out extra credit, so if you do well on the exams and quizzes you'll get a good grade.

HW/quizzes were unduly hard. The final was standardized, which was stressful compared to the (one) midterm written by her. She gave tons of EC, but it was a pain to do on top of the regular workload. Content wasn't harder than other STEM classes, but the lowest of my other grades was a B+, which is telling. She's nice, but I regret taking her.

This class was definitely better compared to last semester highly recommend going to lectures and slides/practice problems, those were helpful for me. The outline was a bit stressful because of one mid-term and the ACS but I was highly satisfied with the amount of extra credit given out. Shout out to Dr. Bordas and TAs for making this class a slay!

Took her both semesters, if there is another professor take them for your mental health. Her class is so hard to follow and so many people walk out of lecture more confused than when we got there. She was very condescending about her RMP and showed favoritism!! Go to office hours the TAs are better teachers.

Her final at the end of your second semester with her (302) is a standardized exam with a whole year worth of content. Studying for her final for CH302 right now and she is actual insanity. Maybe she did not want to make her own exam, but giving a standardized test in which we have to study a full year (CH301 and 302) worth of content is lazy on her part. An ACS exam is the least of my concern, a final would have suited our learning better. (still gave work prior)
