i love psycholgy and i think its a very interesting but the way he teaches it is freaking boring. note taking in his class dont mean sh*t its not like we use them to study for tests, we study from the textbook for the chapter he assigns us to study from! so dont bother taking notes in class!!

Hes a great teacher all you have to do is what he tells you and you'll get an A. Most people are to lazy to buy the book until the second exam. Thats the real problem not the teacher.

I took his class and i found it very interesting. show up to class , participate and read the chapter & follow his suggestion how to get prepare for test and you will be OK!!Take this course with him you will not regret.

This professor is a little bit scary, but if you do the work you'll get an A for sure. He takes test questions from review book. He doesn't like baby crap, if you act mature he'll treat you right and you'll have no problems.

Dr. Arberman is a professor who expects college students to behave as if they were in college. Do the work, study well and you won't have a problem. He is very helpful with regard to study skills.

he excpects you to behave as a college student. you must read the book and understand the concepts well enough in order to be able to apply it to other examples. read the book and u do not need to be in class to get an A ; although its mandatory

There isn't anything wrong with the professor or what he does. The problem is the student's abilitiy to actually pick up a book and read it!! He's a wonderful teacher despite all the stupid comments made by students in this site!!!!!

class was great. taught from text- expects you to be on time and be there, expects student to read assignments. not an easy class, but college is not supposed to be easy. read and ask questions and you will get an A

He is a great Professor... If you apply yourself and maintain your A for the Semester he will exempt you from the taking the final. People all he requires is that you READ THE BOOK like responsible adults that you should be attending school.

He will give you a chance to ask questions before each session. The work is difficult yet mangeable with great use of textbook as well as the workbook.

Absolutely wonderful professor. Exams are easy all you have to do is read the chapter for the exams. use study guide and its an easy A. PEOPLE READ THE TEXTBOOK THATS ALL!!

This professor made psychology very interesting. Although he does not cover everything what's going to be on the tests in class, he expects you to read the text book. It's not that hard. I woke up at 4:30 every morning to attend his class. He uses great examples and makes psychology interesting. I think he is an expert in his field.

Very intelligent man, but his tests are very hard. However he does suggest you buy the study guide for the textbook. His tests are a duplicate of the study guide.

He's an excellent professor who knows what he is doing.You need to work your tail off in this class. College is hard work only if you put a lot of knowledge and effort to what you are doing. It's up to you to study and get tutoring the minute you learn your not doing well in his class.

this teacher is great I understand his class i like him so much that i made sure i arranged my fall semester around his Abnormal Psy class he teaches in the aftenoon come on we are adult you dont need a teacher looking over your folder telling you what to do this is college

He is a tough prof who expects you to be mature enough to do the readings. His tests are easy if you read and use the study guide, and I really enjoyed his class. He is a very interesting prof. He is not warm and fuzzy but if you approach him he's good to talk to and offers good advice. He does expect you to be on time. Loved his class.

Wow! This is THE best professor you can get! Before taking his class, I was skeptical and didn't like psychology but now, I'm seriously considering of switching my major. This professor REALLY knows his stuff. Take him if you can! He tells funny jokes and teaches using personal life experiences, so his class feels so much more real. Got an A!

Amazing professor. He's really smart and by the end, you'll really respect him and his teaching methods. It's not easy to pass his class unless you study. But if you put in the work, you'll be fine. If you're sensitive, stay away from his class bc he doesn't coddle his students. if you like psych and are willing to put in the work, take him.

Based on these comments its clear how dumb these people are. If you read the chapter an hour before the test, it would be impossible not to get a high grade. All the multiple choice questions are taken directly from the chapter. The class is boring as hell but if you need to take this class, its an easy A.

A fabulous professor. His class is defiantly hard, but its worth taking. He kept my attention throughout the whole semester. Even though he does talk a lot about his personal life, its all in reference to what he is teaching. You just have to actually READ the textbook, not only before tests. So those of you complaining, crack a book open for once.

He is an awesome professor. He is very interesting and makes me want to rush to class. His personal and possible scenario examples to psychology are very compatible to what he is teaching. He answers all questions just dont get on his nerves with too much. Overall I would love to have him for any psychology class

Professor Arberman is a teacher who will make you want to pursue a Psych major, even when you wanted to be a grafitti artist. He is Serious and FUN! no other professor like him. He is number one, i would take another 40 courses if taught by him.

He is good prof. but you have to read the book. All tests were based on the book. He tells very interesting stories and gives good examples.

For those who complain about Professor Arberman's ability to teach knows nothing of college work. He challenges without condescendence,and lectures to supplement the readings, not because it is easy, but because that is how college works. Those who have negatively critiqued him because he does not spoon-feed them info, needs to grow up.

A great professor, uses everyday situations to explain the content. Tests are a little hard but he explains together with the book so if you pay attention and study you will do just fine.

As a professor, he is exactly what I was hoping to come across in college. He uses great connections to real life and explains terms throughly which will benefit you, if you listen, for test taking. He will not baby you, but that is something college is supposed to teach you. Great class, listen closely and you'll enjoy it.

Amazing professor, even though I had surgery and major medical complications I still tried making it to his class. I had his class at 9am I am not a morning person I would be yawning all over in my next class after him. HE IS A CHALLENGING professor and you will learn a lot more things don't come in expecting an easy A. He's also your best friend:)

He may appear mean and harsh, but he's very clear on how to pass the course. Read the textbook and take notes and the tests are a piece of cake. Tells a lot of stories about himself in lecture that seem irrelevant but actually explain the concepts well. He's pretty funny too, in a dry/sarcastic way.

He is a very clear and easy professor. He does not ask for much except read the chapters in the textbook. The chapters are fairly short and easy to remember with pictures and definitions. Take him as your psych teacher. This is an easy pass.

The lectures were really informative. He uses real world examples and personal experiences to teach concepts. He is very clear from the start about what he expects of you, but will not hold your hand. There are no homework assignments just tests on each chapter every two weeks. Read the book, take notes, and study; you will pass and learn a lot.

LOVED this class. No homework. No essays. If you show up and listen to what he is saying, you will pass. All his stories are based on what he is teaching. Put in the work and you'll get an A. Would definitely recommend this class!

This is a college course, not high school. To pass his tests, you need to read the chapters. He describes himself as a narcissist and most won't get his sense of humor. He is not there to babysit and pacify you. If you want an A, you have to earn it and do the work. No homework or essays, just reading.

My absolute favorite class of the semester. I knew from the moment I read his manual that I would love his class. If you do your reading and pay attention in class you WILL do well. He tells stories that seem to be off topic BUT if you listen closely he's actually breaking it down & painting a picture for you to understand the material.

First impression you want run but after a couple of classes you get him he's old school he's from Brooklyn its college so get ready to be treated like an adult You're basically responsible for your own grade READ THE CHAPTERS I enjoyed his sense of humor he's a cool guy. his stories are important pay attention I would take him again

Very clear on what he expects from you. All of his stories are actually what you need to know for his test so if you're paying attention, taking notes and reading what you should then this is an easy A class! He's crazy funny and sarcastic mean. Makes for an amazing professor. Not the least bit hard and those that say he is didn't pay attention!

Excellent professor, you just have to go to class early, pay attention to his stories, sometimes what he says as a story is on the tests. YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK! if you don't, you won't pass the class. Everything he says is interesting, be prepared he could get a bit rude if nobody knows the topic before hand. He will treat you like an adult.

Took two of his classes over 20 years ago. He provided a solid understanding of psychology that I used throughout my nursing career. His stories were interesting and intriguing. Youre expected to know the material, but its not difficult. His stories and life experiences tie in nicely to the book work.

Easy A if you actually pay attention. Everything he said had a meaning. Amazingly caring once you get past his sarcasm which is awesome. Need more men like this. Too many soft, whiny people that need to have their hands held. It's college. Grow up and learn something. You get what you put in. Do the work and you'll be fine.
