Shes a is a little strange but teaches calc very well. She answers questions well and her test are very easy!

Leslie is a great professor...wasn't expecting tatoos from my first college professor, but great at teaching math. Anyone who does not give Leslie a good grade probably doesn't understand College Algebra in the first place...

I took this class over winter session 2003 and I loved it. It was a lot of work but it was fairly easy, if you showed up daily. She is a great prof and I would gladly take a class from her again.

She was a very good teacher!! I am bad at math but she taught very clearly and her tests were exactly what she taught. There was alot of homework but other than that it was great.

Great teacher to have for summer session. She's organized and begins the session with the hard stuff in the beginning rather than cramming it towards the end and will make sure that everyone understands what she is doing.

She has cool arm tats and speaks english as a first language, tons of office hours.

Leslie is a great math teacher. It doesn't take her the whole class to explain a section. She has a way of explaining it so you understand it the first time. Plus, she speaks english and she has some awsome tattoos.

Leslie is extremely nice and easy to follow and understand. Even if you are not a math person if you keep up with the class you will get an A. Her lectures were so clear and understandable that I never looked in the book once. She is willing to go out of her way to meet with you. She breaks everything down and gives tons of examples.

I looove this lady! She's so funny and sassy...also a kickass professor. She is perhaps the best math teacher I've ever had and that's saying a lot because I suck at math!

Ms. Arce is a cool lady, even though she HATES when people talk in her class. Mat 119 is the easiest class ever, but watch out for test 3.

never met her in person, but her 210 online is awesome (ifyou already know you can handle an online math class) Applied stuff with real situations, great if you aren't going any further in math and need 210 as a prereq for business classes

Sher is an awesome instructor. She is great out laying out the material so it is easy to understand. And, she keeps the class fun. But, no talking while she's teaching, she really hates when it happens.

She was the best prof that I had in the semester that I took her...I would definitely take other classes from her. She explains the information well and ensures that the class understands the material before moving forward.

She is awesome. You will love this class.

loved her class. Loved her tattoos. Loved her. I hated math going into her class but now it's actually interesting to me. i wish her calculus class was not online becuase i want her again. I would HIGHLY RECEMMEND her to anyone who loves math or who just wants to get through it alive. (that was me)

Leslie is a GREAT teacher. She does a terrific job in teaching and explaining the material. She is always available to assist students and she provides one-on-one help. Leslie also does a great job in maintaining a relaxed, easy going, and sometimes even fun atmosphere in the classroom. I definetely would take another class from Leslie.

First i have to agree with most of the people on here saying she is a total cutie and i love the ink. Next i have to say this is the first math class in college that i have actually not hated and actually passed the first time through. I highly recommend her class.

She is a bit eccentric. Hates text messaging in class, so don't do it. Explains things well... sometimes goes a bit too in depth. Tests are easy and she grades fair. Really good teacher.

Very clear in her teaching and definitely know what she is doing. Her office hours are something that most students tend to overlook (very helpful). No textbook required, we had an online textbook and homework.

I took this class online over the summer and it was not easy in the least, but Leslie is an awesome teacher. She is very helpful, you just have to ask. Make sure you take advantage of extra credit and ask her questions if you're not 100% clear on something. I definitely recommend taking any of her classes!

Very hard online class, with extensive use of books and complimentary tutoring session on-campus. You need to stay on the top with this class. Leslie is helpful, but she will not tell you the answer. She will lead you to find it (which is what math is all about)

Good teacher, acts aloof but it's easy to see she has a handle on all the material. Also, I kid you not, I would pound it. All night.

Even though she moves at a fast pace, she will always go back and answer questions. The tests are hard but not anything she hasn't gone over in class, they're just time consuming. I've never taken Calc before this and she teaches things in a way that make sense. Great Teacher and always available to email about questons, even late at night.

I took MAT 117 last semester with her and got an A+ so I decided to take MAT 210 with her as well. (Both classes are online by the way, with midterms and finals on campus). Well I've never rated a professor on here before, but I just had to. She has been absolute awesome and by far the best professor I've had at ASU. Definitely take her class!

Really great teacher. Explains everything logically and is always willing to go back and explain something again. She emails back almost immediately. Not a hard class but definitely not an easy A.

By far the best math teacher i have ever had. She explains math in english which most teachers do not do. She is the most fair and generous math teacher i have and will ever have. Maybe the best Math teacher I've ever had. The material was tough but her notes were clear and she made herself available for online chat sessions when I had trouble (and gave extra credit for attending said sessions). Tests are hard but can be pass if you study. Great communication and very patient with those of us who have a hard time with Math.

I took this class online. If you have taken a higher math prior to this class it shouldnt be a problem. The class is set up where the hw is worth the most points. So get all of the points on hw and do extra credit and you can get C's on the test and get a low A or high B!

Took online class. It was pretty easy as long as you stay on top of the homework.Only two exams midterm and final. Both are pretty tough but if you do the samples and study a little it shouldnt be a problem.

She's a great math teacher. She is very enthusiastic; tries to add a little humor. She is always willing to help you. Her class is pretty easy; lessons are easy to follow. Sometimes we get out after only 20-30 min of class! The exams are short. Go to class, take good notes, study a bit prior to exam, and you'll do good. I highly recommend her.

I took this class online. If you do all the homework assignments, online quizzes and the weekly extra credit she provides you will pass (make sure to get 100% on all assignments, it's easy!). I failed the midterm and final and I got a "C" in the course.

One of helpful Math teachers I have ever seen. The class is easy if you take notes, and listen to her. I love her class. If you are one of international students, then try to TAKE her class.

Greaaat Teacher! Attendance is mandatory but she teaches you everything you need to know. Take notes and make sure you do the examples in class. Homework is online My math Lab You have a week to finish two sections sometimes one. Questions are super easy especially on my math lab because they pretty much give you the answer. Take her shes the best!

Leslie's pretty cool. Class isn't too bad. The three exams are 50% of the grade, HW is easy and that's 25%, and the final is 25% of your grade. Tests multiple choice (no partial credit), but they're pretty similar to the reviews that are posted on the mat 170 site. I'd definitely recommend her.

Professor Arce is an awesome math instructor. She explained things in easy to understand terms and was always willing to meet with me to go over any issues I had. I took MAT 210 because I had to, but I had no real interest in the subject, and ended up getting an A+. If you have to take MAT 210, take her class!

Professor Arce (R-say) is one of the best you can find. Attendance is mandatory but class is decently fun and not worth missing. HW 1-2x a week online. Gives group quizzes that she helps on. Tough grader on test. No curves. The material is tough but she's very clear & great during office hours. She's a spunky petite lady cover in tattoos.

Unfair grading practices for online course. Refuses to change grade for answers marked incorrect on online homework because of format, even when correct format was not requested in the question. I would not recommend this professor.

I'm taking her online class. I HATE math but she is very accommodating when it comes to homework because she understands it's pretty tough material. Responds quickly, which I really appreciate. The strongly dislike the Knewton system, would probably like her class in person better.

One of the best math teachers I've ever had. I took MAT210 with her, and trust me math is not my strong suit, but I got an A in that class. Very good and clear at teaching, I found her way of teaching easy to follow/understand. Doesn't put up with any crap, but in a good way. If you are cooperative and hard working, she is more than happy to help.

Very good teacher, but difficult class. The homework is very challenging and this class took up a lot of my time. But, if you work hard you will get an A. I took this class online. If you have a hard time at math, this will be a very challenging course for you. There isn't a lot of time to do the homework and the sections in Knewton. No textbook.

I took her online. It was a lot of work for just one week. You had about 5 online assignments that you had to get at least a 70 on, homework that had to be uploaded and an exam every week. I worked really hard and ended up with a B.

Professor Arce was very accommodating with allowing me time to complete some assignments but the class is not easy. There are 5 units to complete w/ diagnostic for each unit after you watch some vid lectures. if you score 85% u move on, if not it can take forever. FAILURE's NOT AN OPTION IN UNITS! must pass and submit prblm set to take exam.

I took this course online over the summer, and while you have to do A LOT of work everyday, Prof. Arce was very helpful and responsive to any E-Mail inquires I posted. She requires you to take the final in person, but the final is not difficult if you just do the work through the semester. I would recommend her anytime. Also, is she single?

although I go to class twice a week, ASU really messed things up when they decided to make all mat117 classes online. The professor does as much as she can but if you don't go in for help when you need it, your out of luck. She's been pretty helpful to me and can get around to everyone pretty fast

This course i real fast pacded over the summer... but I did take with two other courses as well. Just be sure to get at least 80 percent of the study plan done and 80 and above on the quizes and you will be fine.. really fast paced though dont slack. other than that a good class.

The previous reviews of this professor don't even sound like the same person I am talking about. She was helpful and nice, the only bad thing was she didn't go over much in class since most of the material is online. The class was a breeze for me, so I didn't really need much help. I think the structure of the course is what people don't like.

You can come to her for anything you have a question on and she will gladly help. Her TA's are really helpful also. She is absolutely approachable.
