Horrible. Lectures were rarely relevant to material. Missed class more often than students were allowed. Changed the syllabus with no compensation to students who had already fulfilled the prior requirement. Tested on minor details from reading. Avoid.

She was a alright teacher. The hardest thing were her test (only if you did not read). The class was at times boring, but she made up for it with interesting topics. If you want to take a typical college class this is the one to take. She is very helpful

She is a very good teacher! The class was not hard at all. If you read the chapters the tests are not hard. Her lectures are interesting. Dr. Baylis is also available after class to help you and she is extemely nice!

lectures are straight from the book-she doesn't cover everything in class so reading is essential for passing the tests which are based on minute details-use the website from the book since half of the test questions are from the website-okay class...

didn't give students time to take notes. relate everything to sex, which was irrelevant to the subject. i wouldn't advise you to take her as a teacher.

I really liked Dr. Baylis...she is funny and offers extra credit..added on to your final grade. Definately need to read the book, and the website helps.

it was really hard to pay attention in class. almost none of the test material is covered in class. it's a huge class too, like 300 people. make sure to read the book and use the book website. i didnt read the chapters and made c's with the website. grade is based off of 5 tests, & you can retake 1.

If attend class and read the material this class is an easy A. I thought she was very knowledgable and made the class interesting with her humor. I would recommend.

This woman sucks. Took her in summer school and she was horrible. Tests are pretty hard and just did not teach psychology the way that it should have been taught.

HORRIBLE..she may talk about sex and drugs in class, but don't let her fool you- it's def. not on the test. You are expected to read 40 pg. chapterS for the test and the tests are extremely hard. I went to her for help once, and she wouldn't even listen. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LADY..my hardest class!!!

She seems pretty funny during class, but the exams are not funny. Although I did well, not quite my idea of a fun or easy class. The book was a lot of reading, but also the only homework. If you have the opportunity to do extra credit experiments, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT!!! It helps!

Uless you are an incredible test taker, dont take this class When she says test cover all of the 3 or 4 tested they were intedned to, she means it, they cover every little caption. Even though leslie says she plans make thetest easier its not true, she'd be a good poker player with that kinda bluff

I went to class everyday and studied and barely made C's on the first two exams. I stopped going to class but still studied and did better on the exams after that. Coincidence? This was a terrible class, take another teacher if you can.

I took her for the honors section of this class. She expects you to read every single word in the chapters the test is on (even the little boxes of extra material). BUT she lets you retake one exam and she gives extra credit. All tests are multiple choice and one paper. Not too hard. I got an A.

Dr. Baylis is great. Although the subject matter is boring, I'd love to take a neuroscience course with her. She tries really hard to make the class entertaining, but the material is just boring (not her fault). No need to study hard: all questions for tests are straight from the book (easy book)

She is a really good teacher. She throughly explains the information and the notes are so detailed that you don't have to buy the book. She gives extra credit (5 pts.) to be added on your FINAL grade!!! Her test are easy if you studied, there are no trick questions!

grade totally based off 5 tests and a project. all multiple choice tests which were hard. and the project i worked for weeks on and still got a c, but she is still really nice and class was fun. you just have to read the chapters and take notes and you should do fine.

This is possibly the most painfully boring class I've ever taken in my entire life. Sometimes, I thought it might bring me to tears. Baylis is pretty cool...funny in a dorky kind of way. But the subject matter is excruciatingly boring.

She is a very helpful and fun teacher. She relates real-life experiences with her class topics. Give extra credit in class and out of class. I absolutely love her class. Test can be tricky, but she makes up for tricky questions with extra credit.

This class was a waste of my time. Each test covers 3 or 4 chapters - 50 multiple choice questions. Tell me who can remember that much information and know what the test consist of? All you have are 5 tests, no quiz grades or no homework grades. An extra credit assignment worth 5 points. AND THAT'S IT!!! Do not take her if you want to learn.

She is a great teacher. She doesnt take attendance, but it's still worth it to come to class. If you pay attendtion and take notes from the lecture you'll be fine. S.I. Sessions are EXTREMELY helpful in this class. Take her if you can!

This class Sucked! She is one of the most boring people i have ever met! All she talks about is Sex and drugs! She's random and dosent know how to teach. The only thing that helped me in this class were the SI sessions that are availible. I would not recommend her for Psyc 101!

I really enjoyed her class! I wasn't reallly interested in psychology beforehand but she changed that. Her tests weren't hard as long as you go to class. She makes the class interesting & she's real friendly. I'd definitely recommend her among the rest!

This class completely changed my view of psych. I went in expecting to hate it, and ended up changing my major. She is a really interesting teacher who really knows her stuff. I would def. take her again. Wasn't an extremely easy class, but def. fair and you learn a lot.

Professor Baylis was a great teacher. You definitely don't have to go to every class, but I would recommend most, especially if you want to get the extra credit essays correct on the tests. DEFINITELY read the book... most questions on the tests are directly out of the book. No homework, quizzes, or attendance. Just tests. Good teacher, nice lady.

In class, she was very clear with her notes. Make sure to read the book carefully, because there were a lot of questions on the tests that came from the book that she didn't discuss in class. There were even some questions that I couldn't find in the book or in the notes. Offers a lot of extra credit, so it's not too hard to pull off an A.

Dr. Baylis is pretty awesome. She wants you to learn, and if she thinks you don't get it she'll go back over it. She likes input from her students. She's pretty funny too. Her tests are 50 multiple choice, a 5pt essay, and an extra credit essay, EASY! She also gives plenty of extra credit points throughout the course, def an A!

I had heard from numerous people, that Dr. Baylis' class was hard, but I came to really love this class. You have to read the book to get stuff she doesnt go over, but she is funny and makes the class interesting. I am really glad that I didnt switch to another teacher, because I really enjoyed her lectures. Tests are easy if you read the book!

don't waste your time going to class.. do the extra credit and read every chapter at least twice before each test.. you can make up a test at the end of the semester.. i got a B bc I didn't read the book well enough.. easy class..

Take advantage of the extra credit!!! it will save you in the end. Dont go to class but before each test read the ENTIRE chapter and take notes and you'll easily get an A.

This was the most boring class I have ever taken. After the first month of class, I realized that she goes straight by the book so I stopped going to class and just studied my book for tests. It was a very easy class.

this is one of the hardest classes I have yet to take. Skips through the power points, sometimes goes off on a tangent. Tests are on stuff that hasn't been lectured on. I wasn't looking for a sleep-through class but this is way to hard for 101.Lots of reading that's extremely dry. Huge class but to give her credit she does answer questions.

This professor will require you to read the textbook and understand the material. Be prepared for just 5 exams, luckily the last one (the final) is not cumulative. She really flies through the material using PowerPoint, skipping slides occasionally. Nice person, but kind of an oddball. She knows her material and will answer your questions.

Baylis is great- I don't think she gets enough credit. Attendance is not required (I slept in a lot) but reading the text thoroughly is KEY to the tests! And don't necessarily concentrate on the vocab either (the study guides). Know your text and you will get an A - do ExCredit also! I went to 50% of classes but studied hard and got a 96.

This class wasn't hard and I liked the way she taught the class. Although the material was boring sometimes, she tried her best to spice it up. All you need to do is go to class and take notes. For the 5 exams I just went to the SI review session and learned the vocabulary. Its a lot of vocabulary but most is common sense. Its been a pretty easy A!

She's a nice lady, it's a 100% lecture class. 5 exams with the last one *not* cumulative. She tries to make things interesting by relating what you learn to sex, drugs, alcohol, etc. which is nice. She goes a little fast in lectures but she has to in order to cover the material. Go to SI (Supplemental Intstruction) sessions! They're really helpful

Nice lady. Class was more boring than anything. She admitted herself that it wasn't exactly exciting, and she was right. Attendance is not mandatory. Got a B+ in the class with not too much effort. But do the extra credit. It can help you a lot. Just read the book, learn main terms and you will do fine.

Really funny. She makes lots of funny, kindof immature jokes. The lectures came mostly from the book, so attendance was not mandatory. She was super nice, and you'll get an EAsy A if you read.

You have to read each chapter.. ALL of it. Questions can come from anything said in the text. Attendance isn't required, but it helps. She is approachable and will answer questions if you have them. I have an A, but it didn't come by doing nothing.

Going to class isn't necessary. She uses weird powerpoint slides that someone else made and don't really make sense. If you read or even just skim every chapter, you can easily get an A. She also has a TON of extra credit opportunities so do them!

Professor lectures come word for word from the book. Attendance is not mandatory and really doesn't affect your grade unless you don't read the book. She does allow for extra credit which helps tremendously at the end. Class is boring and less than 25% show up for lectures. Lookout for constant sexual references and awkward jokes

Hardly ever went to the class and still pulled out a B+. Read ALL of the assigned text. Most of the test questions come from the book, not the lectures. Still a pretty interesting class and Baylis is a good teacher.

If you get the chance, take her. At times she can be hilarious just because she isn't, and her lectures are usually not THAT terrible (considering how god awful boring psyc 226 is). She helped me pull my grade up at the end of the semester only because she saw me in class a lot, so be wary of the no attendance policy. She's a pretty easy teacher.

Very nice teacher who knows her stuff. She loves to cut up with the class, and tends to make alot of sexual jokes. Tests are about 40-50 multiple choice questions with an optional essay. If you need help, attend SI sessions. I would recommend her!

She really knows what she's talking about. The tests are 90% from the book and not from lectures, so reading the chapters is important. She gives students the opportunity to do a lot of extra credit, so if you do bad in this class it's pretty much your own fault.

She always keeps your interest in class, however her tests are extremely hard. If you dont read the book then you wont do well at all on the test. You have 3 chapters per exam and each chapter is about 40 pages. Tests are multiple choice but are more application questions than memorization. Extra credit does help a whole lot, so definitely do it!

Wonderful lady, really wants everyone to succeed, willing to help you if you ask. Tests were straightforward, homework fairly simple, and gives plenty of opportunities for EC. If you put forth a reasonable amount of effort, you will surely make an A. Highly recommended professor, I intend to take as many of her classes as possible in the future.

If you read the chapters before the test, you have nothing to worry about. I only went to class on test days & to turn in homework, came out with an A without even doing the extra credit- I just read the chapters the night before a test. Homework is fairly easy, definitely take advantage of EC if you need it.

Great teacher. Although experimental psych is all our school offers, and its not my interest, I still was able to pass and grasp understanding. She really wants everyone to understand research methods because it is a must for the major. The last exam is over statistical information which we will need for 227, so really pay attention. READ!

Must read the book if you take this class or you will do very poorly. But if you read the book and study that you should do fine. Kinda funny and awkward as a person. Class is not mandatory but for honors you have to do a paper and a project as well. If you don't have honors it is just tests

Baylis definitely knows what she is talking about but spent our lecture talking about things that were pretty weird and her tests were semi-hard but the SI leader helped alot with study sessions and exam reviews. If you dont read the book for this class, you WILL fail because her exams are a mixture of randomness from lecture and the text!

I would recommend her only because she offers so much extra credit that it could bring you up 3 letter grades! The tests come straight from the book, and the chapters are long. She is very nice and funny; she trys to keep you interested!

Do all the extra credit. It's worth 50% of a test. You have to read the book for all the tests and the chapters are very long. Go to SI and get the old tests because she repeats questions You can retake your lowest test during the final along with a noncumulative final. my retake was identical to an old test i got from si and i got 100on the retake

i wasnt a fan. she is boring and loves to talk about having sex with her husband. went to class maybe 6 times total, but made a B+ by reading the chapter and going to SI review sessions. do extra credit too, its worth a lot. easy, but annoying

She is very personable. If you go to class and read the assigned chapters, you'll do well. But be sure read the chapters in the book. They contain answers to the tests that she doesn't cover in class. SI sessions are somewhat helpful too. Attendance is not required, but is very helpful. Also, DO THE EXTRA CREDIT.

she is very nice and entertaining. i made an A in the class and i never read the book. attend the SI sessions and DO THE EXRA CREDIT it is easy and kind of fun. if you dont attend SI then you have to read the book. i would recommend her over the other psyc teachers i have heard of.
