Lab instructor for Cornerstone, shes very nit picky when grading papers!!
What a pain! She could care less about her students.
Horrible! Changes her mind about everything, goes back on her word, not helpful at all. Do not choose as lab instructor if you have a choice.

She is very unorganized, and shows up twenty minutes late to almost every class. BUT, when she does come on time she gets mad that people walk in two minutes late! She is also VERY tough on grades compared to how unorganized and space cadet-like she is.
I don't have to write anything, I agree with the previously stated comments. poop on you.
Mean, mean, mean! She graded our class on an 1100 scale even though we could only earn up to 1000 points. Everyone's grade was wrong and we had to go to the Dean before she could even be bothered with 50 angry students!
She is an excellent teacher who cares about her students and works hard to help them learn. She is tough, but very fair.
She was excellent at communicating ideas. Great people skills and really cares about her students. Keeps the students active and interested.
She is probably the best professor I have had at UCF because she uses real life examples to teach and is very understanding of the bueracracy that can go on at a college campus. I would recommend her as a professor.
Do not take her. She's mean, very unhelpful, could care less about students and their concerns (she doesn't even answer her e-mails) and VERY tough on grading.
Boring Class, but she is helpful. You need to have a good group for projects to pass class. Study Guide is not that helpful.
bad teacher
I did not enjoy this class at all! I got an A, but no thanks to the teacher. Contridicts herself, does not know the material herself, and does not go out of her way to help. There is a huge project, and she only grades it for grammar, not project content!
Not a very good professor. She often shows up at class late and unprepared. Her lectures are boring, and she grades papers VERY hard, often subtracting 5%+ of your grade for every grammer error.
She's always late and unprepared. She has no experience in business and therefore does not teach it or it's principles. She focuses more on grammar than content. She loves suckups and hates when a good student asks a great question.
Not too bad of a class. She was helpfull and answered my emails right away. Also gave us a home number to contact her with any questions. She is big on grammar but if you just double check you should be fine. Pick a good group for your group project.
very boring and not helpful
Tough grader but a very good teacher. My favorite professor at UCF thus far.

Do not take Mrs. Connell. Everyone of these comments above are true about her grading and grammatical errors will kill you in this class. If this is your last resort however, team up with a hard working group cause it sucks pulling the weight and study!!!
Do not take this teacher unless you have too. I emailed her and she never responded!!!! She never checked to see how our group was doing on our project. It's as if we did not exist to her or something. Her directions are very vague.
Easy ethics class. She doesnt teach it thatoften though so if you can get her for ethics she's easy. Cornerstone must be much more difficult with her. I think she likes to teach ethics much more.
This class is not about the teacher, its who you pick to be on your team that matters!!! However, this lady is clear about what she expects. Her communication is efficient for she gives you her home-phone # to call her at anytime.

I think that she was an easy grader. Although the tests were very hard, however, the lecture teacher makes the exams. Prof. Connell is very easy going and kind.
Very nice, but somewhat vague at times. She talks really softly, so listen up. She bought our lab Panera and Kripy Kreme almost every other week. The lab is more about your team anyway, not the lab instructor.
Connelle is tight. If you don't pass her class, change you major! She's fair. The model of the perfect professor. Nevertheless, do your part and the grade will take care of itself. Write the vision.
Excellent professor. Can't have a better Lab instructor. She is the way to go.
Horrible teacher- could care less about her students. Does not add any input to the course that is not just common sense. Going into this I thought this class would be relatively difficult but at least some what interesting- she made it boring and hard. She is the worst teacher I have had at UCF!!!!
Harsh grading, very arbitrary. she does not demonstrate any type of rubric when granding papers. lectures usually last 1.5hrs (instead of the full 3). cornerstone class is hell anyway. find a lab instructor that people like.
Ok, here it goes, the semester is over. She is a very rough grader, and i mean really rough, i came out of the class pretty good, but everyone i kno in that class, failed or eitehr got a C. Shes unclear, unhelpful, and you better be on her good side, b/c she shows biasness towards others. GoodLu
Read the book. Put effort into the presentation. You'll get a good grade, but it's a boring march toward the end of the semester. Connell isn't very accessible and doesn't really give much feedback. Flaky.
Okay, anyone who said this horrible woman was an easy grader or a good teacher wouldn't even give her credit for being a professor)was on some serious drugs during the whole Cornerstone experience. She's awful, she grades extremely hard, and she is only nice if you kiss her butt all semster long.
Be prepeared for a presentation and debating. There are a lot of points available so take full advantage. NO tests but a quiz every week on 1 chapter, If you read they are cake. Had a close B and she hooked it up, Gluck
Connell gives alot of busy work!! Lame opinion papers, value quilts, and team busy work. This whole class is busy work that adds up to a bunch of points. If you want to be in and out of class and take 3 exams and a final, don't take her class. Honestly this is an ethics class.P.S.Semesterservice hou
this teacher sucks. cornerstone is gay. what a waste of time. i didn't learn ANYTHING.
Class is not hard, it's just a lot of work. She is a fair professor, you're A will be well deserved. If you really pay attention, the things you learn in cornerstone are priceless in your business career and life in general. Think win-win. lol.
This is a relatively easy class. There is a lot of busy work though, but it is easy.. She really cares about her students and will work with you if you have problems. Take her!!!! She is a good teacher
This class is great because you discuss all the current events and take sides. This class is very informative and bases the assignments on your opinion.Connell does her bestto run organized debates, but some topics can be very controversial. The class allows you to develop and support your opinion!Easy
She is a great teacher. She truly cares about her students and will help in anyway she can. She is a tough grader so be sure to pay attention to details and triple check assignments before you turn them in. Overall, she made the class interesting. She's easy to talk to and super nice.
My teammates and I didn't understand after taking the class why people were so harsh on ratemyprofessor for her. She actually is really helpful, friendly, and wants everyone to do well. Its a hard class, but she is a great prof.
Ms. Connell makes her student's success her priority. She is one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. In order to do well on tests you HAVE to study.. A LOT. Cornerstone is pretty tough in and of itself, but if you take Ms. Connell at lease you will have a kind, understanding teacher.
Every lab instructor in cornerstone gives out the same assignments and exams, so if the class is hard it's not her fault. The best part about Ms.Connell is that she lets the teams work on group activities for most of the class time rather than lecture for hours. She also lets class out early, and pushes deadlines back if there's a good reason for it
I would say for MAN 4240, stay clear of this teacher. You must go to class every time or you miss like 30 points. Tricky exams, final has 50 multiple choice with 10 comprehensive essay questions from the whole semester. Grades and tests this class too much like cornerstone (AKA memorizing stupid concepts)
Stay away from her, she has stupid assignments (make a quilt?) and has no idea how to clarify her grading. I don't think she was ever worked in any business related field. Frustrating class never know exactly what she wants.
shes a good teacher, but very anal about all the assignments...i would take another lab instructor if i was you. i say this because my friend had cornerstone w/another lab teacher and yes, the test are the same, but deadlines, and how to complete assigments are all her ways! She is just to ANAL about all assignments
Great professor and realy cares about her students
CAPTAIN ANAL!!!! She is anal about EVERYTHING! Don't take this lady. If you are presenting and even have one little noticable wrinkle she will dock points!
This teacher is a BLEEDING HEART LIBERAL not knowledgeable of business. If you disagree with her and make a good point, she will not respond. Tests are strait from the book, memorize, memorize. Application questions are very ambiguous. A lot of easy, but time consuming projects. Class is easy; Tests are hard.Gives extra credit to balance out scores
tests are hard, failed all 3 but w/ all the extra busy work given, passed w/ a C. is really unclear on projects, is a pt. nazi on little errors. just go to class, do all projects well, and memorize chapters if u want to pass tests!
I worked hard all semester and did a GREAT project and only managed to get out with a B and that is because of the tests. She is very picky about EVERYTHING. One mispelled word or grammar mistake and you seem to get dropped a letter grade. Nothing is ever good enough for her. She has an okay personality but plays favorites! Take with caution!
Cornerstone sucks period, but Connell is alright. The exams are just memorizing useless infor,I attended 0 lectures and did just fine on my exams Get into a good group and you can do the same. Lab attendance required! I got a B, you'll be spending a LOT of time with this course it is time consuming. word of advice do a JA project makes life easier
Cornerstone is a lot of work!!! Get into a good group and plan on working hard. Ms. Connell is very nice and helpful, she is always willing to help out with questions about assignments. I had a great group and got out with an A. I went to all the lectures, but you could easily do well without going.
Very good teacher. Class is actually fun. Lots of group work that is interesting and helps you to tie topics to reality. Tests are not easy but not impossible... all from the book not slides or class work. Tests are from canned test bank. She is fair and likable. She does not curve tests or final grades. No extra credit.
cornerstone is an aweful class. but there is no way around it. Mrs. connell is really nice. here is the best peice of advice you can get about conerstone: thoroughly think about your group before your pic it. crappy group members will make or break your grade. but, connell is great.
Took this course during Summer B. Yes she grades papers fairly strictly but it doesn't hurt you too bad in the long run. Class averges on the tests were ranging from low to mid B. She picks her own sections out of the text for testing instead of reading the whole thing. Also she gives you the essays before testing you on them so you can practice
Dont let her NICENESS FOOL YOU! ...SHE GRADES LIKE you signed up for ENGLISH COMP HONORS!!! Take a different lab instructor if ya can!
Had her for cornerstone lab, thought she was good, then now have her for Ethics, class can be fun with the debates although she takes FOREVER to get grades back! HUGE paper required (still awaiting grade for), tests are hard but she does provide study guide. In class assignments help your grade greatly. Will curve exams if necessary. would recomend
Connell acts like she is teaching a kindergarden class rather than a 4000 level college course. There is a lot of busy work and the tests are much harder than they should be. There are other professors to take for this class which I hear are much better. You will be confused if you take this class. STAY AWAY!
The Cornerstone tests, to me, were what made the class hard. The assignments aren't so bad if you start them soon enough. Ms. Connell gives clear directions, is always available to help you out, and is lenient on her grading. Not sure how the other lab instructors are, but she is definitely a must!
wasted too much class time on useless games then made really hard exams. definitely don't recommend her to anyone.
good teacher, sweet, just wants to be nice and doesnt teach much. Don't do much in class just listen to cornetstone presentations. keep up with project group and kind of tough grader on group homeworks. Watch out for the little details
Very strict about assignments. Make sure to thoroughly proof-read your work.
Ms. Connell was extremely helpful and willing to work with you. Lectures get a tad boring. My only complaint is the time it takes to get grades back. Tests are essay, so know your stuff! As long as you do the assignments and know the material this class is easy.
I had her for a cornerstone discussion. She is a teacher that seems so nice to your face, but is really a heartless, biased person. If she likes you... then you are in the clear for a good grade, if the opposite she will manipulate your grades to be lower.. She grades essays as if its an upper level English course and she resembles Jabba the Hut.
Here is the deal with Ms. Connell. She basically favors certain students. She grades papers very harshly. She is reasonable if you are a little late with a paper but overall she is not clear about what she wants even though she gives rubrics for grading, she doesn't adhere to them. Avoid her at all costs. You'll thank me later.
Run. Seriously. Run while you can. If you get this teacher, drop the class. Then re-enroll next semester and guarantee yourself someone else.
Connell is nice. She really seems like she wants to be a good person. She really comes across as nice, but she grades on how well she likes you... not so nice. She grades papers like you are in an advanced English course. She will grade your presentations like you are on CNN crossfire. Very biased teacher, she is what is wrong with teachers today.
Very horrible teacher, Only gives you a good grade if you agree with her opinions. Does not give clear details of how she wants the papers or presentation done and grades harshly. Case studies are very long and boring every class and she does not prepare you at all for the tests. DO NOT TAKE HER
She was really nice and she cared about her students. Takes students advice and give curves when needed. The case studies are very easy. Paper is a little hard, but she will proof read it for you and she will also give you feedback on your presentation because she wants give you perfect scores. Very helpful. She is super nice. Be the first team.
Have previously taken her. Very nice and caring. Will compromise with you. Grades stiffly when it comes to papers with grammer so be aware of that. She is very helpful. I plan to take her again. If you participate, ask for help, and get your grammer in check you should do fine. Tests are a little rough. Take her
Took her for discussion portion of cornerstone. She's fantastic, I love her! Such a sweet person and really cares about everyone doing well. I think she appreciates it if you show an interest in the class and you project.
Ms. Connell is awesome. Very caring and helpful professor. Those who give her a bad rating do not want to do college level work. By the time you take cornerstone you are a junior and have had TWO college composition classes, why would being graded on grammar be unheard of?? She is a great cornerstone lab instructor, take her.
I had her for my lab section of cornerstone. She is an awesome teacher, very helpful. She does grade your grammar, but that's expected at this point in college. She is extremely helpful and I plan to a class with her again.
I'm almost positive that every good rating she got was written by her. The comments below me all seem like she wrote it and not a student. She is a useless teacher and her grading makes no sense. Don't take her.
She is pretty good but her tests are confusing and RIDICULOUSLY HARD. A huge class and no one got an A, some even got 40pts. Mostly on application of concepts learned in class thru cases and examples. Take her if B/C is all you need. Don't if you're an A student like me.
She is a good teacher. I don't know where all the negative comments come from. I've had far worse professors then her. She's pretty straight forward in her teaching style and don't expect to go home early, she definitely likes to lecture.
I don't know how she keep's getting good ratings. He lectures are vague, her study guides are vague and her exams are a joke. Coming to class doesn't seem to help either because its not gonna help you do better on exams. UCF, please find a better professor to teach this course.
Awful teacher. Every day gives you busy work like you are in high school and only randomly takes a grade, even though you spend an hour working on it stupid questions in the book. Her lectures are incredibly boring. Her reviews are just the questions in the book and tests are difficult. Run far away. She is a JOKE.
Read the book, show up to class, and study for the tests and you will do fine.
She is a total joke, don't waste your time or your GPA taking Cornerstone Lab with her. She seems all nice and helpful when you ask questions. But her guidelines are very vague and she grades on how well she "likes" your team.
Ms. Connell is AWESOME. I started the semester dreading this class and it turned out to be my favorite one. Very interesting course and very useful in the real world. Her exams aren't super easy, but they aren't difficult either. Go over the power points and study for the exams and you will do great. Attend class for extra points too!!! Great class
HARD TESTS!!!! I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROFESSOR PUT SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS SO HEAVILY WEIGHTED ON EXAMS!!! 5 SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS @ 10 PTS EACH ON A 100 POINT TEST!!!!!!!! Other than the tests and the time consuming Interview Summary, I got an 'A'! I read the chapters and did well on ALL of the quizzes! VERY HARD TESTS!!!!
She is a nice lady that is willing to help student. She is disorganized and pretty boring to listen to & doesnt always use time efficiently in class. She is not very clear on assignments & tests but overall the class was not very difficult. Tests were pretty easy. Annoying to take over summer with all the papers and reading.
took the class during summer 6 weeks, did not like the class at all, bunch of politically correct materials. tests were easy got A's on all 3, pop quiz did not like at all, especially amount of time given on it like 2 minutes, but it is to make sure you read the chapter, grades paper pretty fair. came out with an A.
She is very nice and helpful but expects you to work hard. She knows if you are just trying to get by and if you are really trying. She gives partial credit one exams and gives candy every class lol
this lady tru understands that the last class in college should not be cut throat. amazing and very understanding teacher. must read the book. TAKE HER even if you have to drive to Sanford. WAY less work than main campus
Allowed to miss four classes during the semester which is 25% of class lectures. She discusses Business Ethics real world news then lectures main points from the chapter. You must read the chapter to do well on exams. 33% of exams are short answer so you must know the material. Excellent professor and helpful when needed.
The assignment for the semester is to put an event together or a nonprofit agency. This takes up a lot of time and stress so make sure you get a good group. She ends up grading you on reports and presentations, not on how well your project went so make sure you focus on that. She is not very clear in her expectations for reports and presentations.
Capstone lab really depends on the group you get, but I felt she was a very lenient grader and amiable. She was available for help at anytime which was nice because the class in general felt a little disorganized at times, but I feel this was due to main campus troubles. She was very transparent with arising information about the class.
Wonderful teacher, very helpful. This class will take a lot of youre time and effort. If you take it, just be willing to put in work and you will get an A. Overall fun course.
Class is fun. There is not a lot of lecture in this class. During the class we debated ethical issues that were taking place in current events. 3 exams no too hard. 3 papers but very easy to write.
This is a rough class no matter who you have it with. Still, I'd highly recommend taking someone else. Although she was very nice, the entirety of your grades come from assignments, not the project. She doesn't score according to her own rubric, and I'm fairly convinced she just makes up the criteria on the spot. Don't expect fair grading from her.
I recommend this teacher to all of my friends. 10 of us who took her for cornerstone one semester decided to take her for MAN3025 the next. She is super nice, wants you to succeed. Very fair grader, as long as you pay attention in class and study before the exam. Interview assignment wasn't hard at all, and she'll help you out. Take her!
Nice lady! Assignments are fair. One problem is she spends too much time talking about current issues and not a lot of time covering book content. So to understand content and pass exams reading the book on your own is a MUST. She also has a policy that if you miss 4 days of class during the semester she will give you an "F".
She does not cover course content. Exams are heavily graded. The book is a must to pass exams. Class time is mostly spent working on cheesy group assignments. Many topics discussed in class are interesting others just make the class time drag. If you read the book and study you will do well on exams.
Professor was great. Grade for all cornerstone labs comes from team and individual assignments, so get the paperwork done correctly. There are rubrics for every assignment, follow them, articulate your content well and you'll have a A. Instructor also responds to emailed questions quickly.
Lab is time consuming. Professor is clear and provides rubrics for every assignment, follow it. Attendance is mandatory, this is a core business class and you're expected to show up on time. Be aware that points come from individual and group assignments, not your service learning project. This is clear from the syllabus, however. Good class.
Grade is based on individual and group assignments and not the results of the project. Reduces your grade if she feels like there was not enough effort on your part. Grade in this class should not be based on her opinion. Even if you score well on your assignments, she can still screw you in the end. Will NEVER take her again.
I really don't know what to say. The most unstructured class I have ever had -- highschool or college. Read the book and you'll do well on the exams. Can't miss class more than 4 times or receive an F. In my opinion class is terrible. Too much discussion that wandershe way off track with no attempt by instructor to guide. Think shes only option.
She is a great teacher; she knows her subject very well. Participation matters. There are cases that you have to read and be ready to present in group after each cases discussed in class. Be ready to read the book for exams and quizzes. As long as you read the book you will do fine on test as well on quizzes. I found the class useful.
Prof Connell structures the course well with interactive group discussions over cases & some short video clips. You will need to read all of the chapter assignments to prepare for the exams. Eleven Quizzes (lowest score dropped), 3 Exams, and a few graded assignments. Participation matters and will be graded. I would take this professor again.
Not a hard class but you have to read the book if you want to do well on exams. Lectures have nothing to do with exam material and you do a bunch of in class assignments with a team or partner. Her participation grade is huge, and some that actually participated didn't get the deserved grade. Very picky. Get on her good side.
Absolutely a great teacher, recommend u guys to take her class.. This class is talkative , participation grade available if you are good talking and attend to class. Just read book carefully with study guide, donnu try to skip anything from book, and you test grade will be perfect. You will get surprising from final test. its easy to pass.
Best thing I can say is, eh. Not the worst but not the best. Her rubric is very confusing and she assigns WAYYYYY to much reading. Not a hard class just a lot of work.
Connell is a smart professor. If you do decide to take GEB3031, consider yourself lucky. My class was the guinea pig for the course since SP16 was the first semester it was offered. Still some kinks in the peer reviews and rubrics for assignments. However, these issues should be address next semester. Overall, easy class. Easily can rock an A or B!
Leslie is kind of like that one aunt who is mean to you, but you're pretty sure she still cares about you, but you're always guessing. Don't miss any assignments for any reason, she will not accommodate, even if it is not your fault. She likes participation and presentations that are not boring, so make it more exciting and you'll score higher.
This class is like being in elementary school, and Connel still finds a way to grade hard. Her rubrics are vague and with barely any instructions, gives about 10-30 min to do in class assignments and expects quality work. Class gets out of hand with feedback and Connel just lets it happen. Would not suggest taking this professor.
I took Foundations over Summer and it was AWFUL. I feel my opinion of Connell and the class is tainted due to this. It's a 3 hr course in which you show up, are given 20-45 minutes to get a topic, make a presentation, then present a 3-5 minute lecture on a topic you had maybe 5 minutes to research because you spend the time on making a presentation
Connell was by far one of the best professors I've had at UCF. She genuinely cares about students and their successes. She always has an open door policy and will help you clarify anything if you just ask. Some of her instructions were vague but it was on purpose so that you can determine what to do. 10/10 would reccomend
tough grader
The class is not overly hard but she grades extremely specifically but without telling you exactly what specifically you did wrong. The emails are also graded hard and feedback is that you should just read the readings so they can teach you rather than the teacher telling you what you did wrong to get points offs. Terrible teacher overall
Please, AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL COSTS! I took this class during Spring 21 via zoom. The class is nearly 3 hours long, and every time we step away to use the bathroom or eating off camera, we have to tell her. She makes up criteria on the spot, has extremely vague rubrics, docs off points for everything. Save yourself & dont take this prof.
This professor is very strict and judgemental. She will talk about motivational and emotional things during class then rip you on the assignments that are worth a lot for vague things she did not describe in her coursework. Stay away! she is a headache and a half and abuses her authority to bully people. She will show you no mercy.
Prof. Connell is a harsh grader but overall she's a solid professor.
Prof. Connell is very thorough in her work and explanations and expects nothing less from her students. She can be a bit of a tough grader but the key is to put in consistent effort and do all of your work on time. Work is pretty easy as long as you read/do a good scan of module content.
Would never recommend this professor- avoid at all costs! She grades very vaguely and is also extremely impolite. Lacks manners and basic respect for her students. Take ANY other professor.
I really enjoyed Ms.Connell! I don't get why people are leaving her bad reviews. I wouldn't say she's a tough grader, but rather she sticks exactly to the rubric. So, follow that for assignments and group projects/presentations and your golden! I have never seen her be rude or disrespectful, she so caring and sweet!
Her in class assignments are usually fun and get the class engaged with the learning. The coursework is interesting and valuable (I'm an older student already in the workforce). Folks can get great use from this class as well as hands on/in-person experience with tough things like criticism, feedback, interviewing and negotiating.
Professor Connell is really dedicated to trying to improve her students. She is always asking for feedback from her students in order to improve her course, which is something I think many other professors should work on doing. She is a tough grader on certain assignments but she does her best in trying to provide effective feedback.
This professor will give you assignment every single week. Most of them are useless and doesn't do anything beside wasting your time. Also, she is strict with her grading policy that she will never accept any late assignment. She created a C- on her grading scale. Which mean that if you are in IB program, you will fail even if you have 70%.
Leslie is a great professor. She always look out for her student and learned how to improve for her next semester. While I did not pass her class because I missed couple assignment. I wouldn't mind retaking her class and I am excited to learn more about how she can improve next semester. She also go out of her way to help me when I was down.
Professor Connell is very strict and judgemental. She will rip you on the assignments that are worth a lot for vague things she did not describe in her coursework. She abuses her authority to bully her students and acts like you have no responsibilities outside of her class. She will show you no mercy. Avoid her at all costs
This lady is a real nasty piece of work. She would often show up for class very late, or not at all. But if a student shows up 1 minute late, they get chewed out. She teaches a fundamental business class, but I get the felling she is an academic with no real knowledge of how business work. Very rude and unhelpful, ruining Cornerstone for me.
Terrible teacher all around. Does not describe how to do the coursework then proceeds to give bad grades and disrespectful feedback. Would never take her again.
she is the worst professor i ever had.
Really nice person, but not the greatest professor; Extremely strict grader and she doesn't really understand the assignments she gives you enough to answer questions about them. Also expect a quiz and group assignment every class.
She is definitely a tough grader without giving clear instruction on what she's grading for, about half the assignments have rubrics. every class is a quiz and group assignment that is easy enough to finish and get out of class early which is the only upside. one final exam 100 multiple choice, nice lady but basically the epitome of HR.
A horrible grader lacks some sort of common sense. A super easy class that she makes harder for no reason to feel good about herself.
Professor Connell is overall very sweet. Her class was made much more difficult than it had to be. Many articles and videos to go over every week which would take hours on end. Took long to grade individual writing assignments. I expected this class to be an easy A but ended up being my lowest grade of the semester.
Honestly, i can't say a bad thing about this professor. She's very kind and you'll do well so long as you read/watch videos BEOFRE you show up to class. All in all, I would take again!
Professor Connell quickly learns names and faces of students and fosters a positive, engaging environment with creative tasks. She grades writing assignments rigorously but gives clear expectations and is available for help. Despite the workload, which is manageable with time, the class offers rewarding interactions. Overall, highly recommended!
The class deals with real life examples that prepare you for the workforce. There are multiple writing assignments but as long as you have a good team and do the research it's very easy.
She remembers faces and tries to be nice. Nice lady but she'll speak to you like a child if she disagrees with you. Her grading is also vague for everyone in class. There were several points where Im trying to explain & show that the rubric doesn't explain the grade/comments. She won't care. The class was made way harder for everyone than necessary.
There's a lot of homework&assignments to be done outside of class. Enrolling in this class I was under the impression it was going to focus on presentations, but we only did 2 virtual presentations. I found her grading to be relatively inconsistent. Also case study rubrics are vague, and if you get pts off she doesnt elaborate well on why you did.
Professor Connell runs a challenging but rewarding class. While the workload can be heavy, her clear expectations and willingness to help make it manageable. I found Unstuck AI and the free textbook very helpful for staying on top of the material.
Overall a nice person with a comforting personality but as a teacher she is unnecessarily strict with her grading while providing relatively vague rubrics. Felt like a "my way or the highway" type of grader on case studies. Not too much busy work but still not fun
I learned a lot from Professor Connell and she is a great teacher. However, while I believe I put an A amount of work into the class, her strict grading criteria and relatively vague rubrics seemed a bit unfair. Overall I would take her again but don't expect to get an A in this class.
Professor Connell fosters a welcoming and engaging classroom environment. She is approachable, supportive, and always willing to help. The coursework is manageable, and having a strong group can really enhance your success. While the writing assignments can be time-consuming, the expectations are clearly outlined. Overall, I enjoyed her class.
Professor Connell is an extremely tough grader, while also providing very vague instructions. If you ask her a question she will speak to you like a child, and her niceness is extremely fake. Her exams are terribly worded and studying the material and online resources felt like a waste of time. Good luck getting an A in any of her courses.
I really liked Professor Connell. Grading criteria is strict and can be vague, but it is realistic to figuring things out in a work environment rather than being told what to do. I ended up with a B+ in the course, however, Professor Connell rounded my grade to an A. I believe this matched my effort to the course. I appreciate her recognizing that.
Professor Connell is nice but she's a really tough grader. Going to her office hours doesn't help much. Her rubrics are pretty vague and if you ask her questions she really doesn't want to answer them. However, after grading your assignment she does provide detailed feedback, but asking her questions about assignments before submitting is useless.
