MR. Dean is a good professor, a real nice guy. He makes geography fun, and has many jokes that make you laugh. If you use the website with practice questions for test and take good notes which include his examples, you should do just fine in his class.

Les Dean is a great teacher. His sense of humor makes the class enjoyable when he's going through the material. Wants students to suceed and will inform students of online quizzes that will help on the tests. does not preach like other crazy instructors

He's a cool guy that is very funny and cracks a lot of jokes in class. He's pretty mellow and he is very comfortable with the material he teaches. He is kinda difficult and his tests can be hard but I think he's a good teacher.

Dean is a cool guy. He's really nice but his classes are boring. All you have to do is study the practice test online and you should pass. All the tests are from the online practice tests. You really don't even have to go to class. He never takes roll and his lectures arn't on the test.

Prof. Dean is such a sweet guy, bu boring as heck. He is very knowledgeable about his field of study, and had I been interested in geography i would have learned alot from him. It is a easy grade read the book and take the practice test online because the greater majority of the test is drawn from the online material.

Professor Dean is great! He's funny, lenient, and not a stickler. He will help you if you ask him. His tests aren't easy but they're not hard either-- look at the online resources!! The lab isn't too hard and he will pretty much give you the answers if you ask for them. Tests are based entirely on coursework. Great professor <3 :)

Professor Dean had to be my favorite teacher last semester.The lecture class is slightly harder than the lab,and the lab is ridiculously easy.Lecture grade is based off exams only,lab is off of the daily labs and exams.Lecture tests are pretty tough,lab exams are straight from the labs themselves. Easy classes, great professor.

hes a really nice guy easy to get along with just very sweet... all you need to do is study the labs before an exam and you'll pass his class not hard at all...

This class had it's easy and not so easy points. Quizzes every class, no homework, no midterm or final. The information isn't all that interesting which makes studying hard. I barely managed a B. Professor Dean is very nice and helpful, overall I enjoyed his class.

One of the greats, I read the material before classes and take notes from his lectures everything he says will be on the tests. He offers extra credit. I enjoyed the class will see you this summer professor I am taking the lab. I learned a lot!

Mr. Dean was a great teacher I thought. He gives handouts which he says you can study by to pass the test. If you want A's on test then you have to read the book, if you want c's and b's then just study the handout's and terms from the book. He grades on a big curve, gives extra credit if you want it. Fun teacher, I recommend his class.

I recommend Les Dean for the class and lab. Listen, take notes, read, and use his study guide for tests and you?ll do great. Very knowledgeable (has taught this subject at RCC for many, many years) and he makes the class interesting and fun. After he teaches you how earth works you won't waste water or look at rocks/mountains the same way again.

Great Teacher!! If i could have him for a teacher for every subject i would! It isn't easy for an A, but it also isn't hard. You would really have to be a screw up to do badly. Great person with a great personality. I will miss him as my teacher.

easiest class i've ever taken. sometimes i wouldn't even show up to class for 3 weeks at a time. still easily pulled an A. no hw, no midterm, no final. 5 tests spread out through semester, emails you a study guide to each test that is identical to the test. curves each test. drops lowest test score. and offers xc! he's beggin you to get an A.

he is a chil teacher, he doesnt take roll but its easier to pass his test if you do but you dont have too. i missed alot of classes and got an A but that is because i worked hard on his study guides. i even bought the wrong book so i basically used the internet and the little notes i did take but it would have made life easier with both

Dean is awesome. i wished more instructor was like him. he made class enjoyable. took him for winter both lecture and lab (735-12) enjoyed his class so much that surprisingly i never missed a class considering it was so early. received an A in the class. i recommend you take him, go to class and take notes, read your text book and study.

In response to the last post about L. Dean's study guide having no connection to the test--this is not true. The study guide IS the test. L. Dean is a wonderful, helpful professor that takes time to help his students and treats them as equals rather than 'students.' Take him!

Super easy class - read chapter prior to attending class, listen to lecture, take exams (STUDY GUIDEs ARE THE EXAM). There are no assignments. In regards to asking the professor questions on the study guide, he is not going to place it in your lap.

Les Dean is a great professor. Hes very nice and his class is super easy. You don't really have to show up or take notes for an A, all you need is the study guide because it is almost exactly the same as the test. There is no homework, all you have to do is take the test, and he drops the lowest test too. Take this class its so easy and enjoyable!

He's a really nice guy, but his class is a bit dull. He tries to make up for that and cracks jokes and understands that not many people are interested in the material. He cares about his students and I'd definitely take him again!

Really nice and sweet professor, he does crack jokes. Attendance is unnecessary for lecture, book--useful for study guides. Lab, attendance is necessary due to the worksheets. The last two or three tests, he changes so it's not the exact study guide but still pretty easy! I'd take him again.

Prof Dean is SO sweet and SO easy. You don't have to go to class to get an A. Respect him, and you will be on his good side.

Great teacher!! You dont have to attend the lecture class but it pays off if you do. All you have to do is show up and study the study guides he emails and you can pass the class. Any one who can pass this class is lazy. It is science so it is not the most exciting class but good.

Pro. Dean is a great professor. He made the course enjoyable. He has a great sense of humor and he is very helpful. I took him for Physical science 1. I am not a science person at all, but his lectures and power points are very clear and self explanatory. He gives study guides for all exams! Highly recommended!

This professor is great! He give powerpoints and emails you them along with study guides which have questions that will be on the test! As long as you pay attention and do the study guides you will do well! Loved being in his class and hope to take him again.

He was a standard professor- he's not very engaging and class was rather boring. Very easy though, he gives you powerpoints on the info he covers and sends a review which you will find very helpful *wink wink. He is really nice though- you can miss a day and still have a good grade in the class. He is helpful and overall, not a bad class.

This professor knows his stuff, and does not shove material down your throat. The lectures are helpful and engaging. Make sure you have the book, for you will be doing book worksheets. Try not to miss class, and once you finish your in class work sheet you go home! He will let you know a week in advance what sheets you will be doing next. AWESOME!!

Lectures are extremely comprehensive, if you have questions with material he is more that happy to help you. Yes he does email you the powerpoints/notes and gives you a DETAILED study guide for exams. Study and show up for class and you'll do great

Very easy course! Provides a study guide for the exams which has the exact same questions as the exam. If you're not a science person, but need if for deneral ed units, I totally recommend him.

Great geography teacher. Dry humor but enjoyable. Keeps on tract and gives study guides. Exam are on current material. Final is not cumulative. Class was enjoyable.

Very laid back teacher. Made you feel welcome and had a very dry sense of humor. Does not like people walking in front of him during lecture (but will make a joke out of it). Study guides not ALWAYS like the test, but close. Enjoyed taking him.

he gives you all of the power points covered during lecture via email. his tests are easy because it is very similar to the practice tests that he sends you 2 weeks before every test. he tries to make the lecture fun even when the class does not want to interact. he makes jokes all of the time during lecture and is fairly entertaining.

EXCELLENT CLASS! Professor is funny and entertaining. The class is fun and the time just flies by. He is fair and extremely, extremely helpful. You will love this class. I would definitely sign up to take another class with him.

You learn a lot. Super easy. SUPER EASY A. Take him if you want to learn and pass without stress. Midterms and Final are REPLICAS of the study guide. You have no reason not to pass his class with flying colors. Not only is it easy, but he is a wonderful professor and truly loves his job.

You dont have to go to class but make sure you do independent study then, read the textbook and do the homework. Tests are easy, class is easy, teacher is very knowledgeable and will give you chances for extra credit and answer all questions

One of the BEST professors I have ever had. Do need to study for the tests and would definitely recommend getting the book for his class. He does send out power points and pre-study guides but if you want an A I would suggest you study and attend class. You can take the lab class as well, is really good.

Dr. Dean is a great instructor. He really loves the subject he teaches. He does email out the study guild for the exams and lecture PowerPoints. If you want an A be sure to study the guild, because he switches enough of the questions around to find out who did more than just memorize the study guild. Awesome class!!

This professor breaks down the material thoroughly. You will learn about the subject and understand the topic. A very relaxed professor and is always sneaking in jokes here and there. Friendly person and as long as you pay basic attention you will be alright.

As long as you do the study guides he sends out, then you should pass with a B. The only problems you may have on the tests would be the essay parts. Otherwise easy class and he's pretty funny. (For GEG-6 there also was a map portion of the test)

Great class! Took it over winter. Do the lab work (fairly easy workbook that you can work on with classmates). Study for the tests (4 of them and drops lowest score). Lab tests based directly off of lab homework sheets. Gives study guides for tests. Textbook useful for studying!

Astounding professor who is passionate about the subject he teaches. During his lectures he makes a lot of jokes. Also took his Lab and passed both with an A. He had 4 exams (including the final), but drops the lowest score. So if u have an A, no need to take the final. Just memorize the Study Guides and you'll be fine. Definitely take him!!!

even though the subject was not that interesting to me since it wasn't really my major i am glad i had it with this professor he was clear and easygoing which made it a very enjoyable experience. the best part was that it fills a GE requirement so i did not have to take a hard physical science class.

4 multiple choice test(including final), lowest score dropped. He emails the PowerPoint lectures, but u have to go to class to get homework (usually 1page worksheet). U won't pass class without homework. I googled the answers, but for those that u can't find, apparently there is a book on reserve in the library. Gives a study guide for each test.
