Definitely my best professor at Hofstra. I took her for so many classes! I couldn't get enough. Anyone who says she is not good does not study! She laid out everything clearly. Only a bafoon could not do well in her class. An asset to Hofstra!

Very quirky and funny lady. Easy class and she makes it fun because she's laid back. What she teaches is interesting too and if you just take the notes she gives you then you barely have to read to get an A in the class.

Knows the information that she is discussing but doesn't know how to teach it. Do the readings or you will feel left out in class discussion. Tests are short but have specifics so know a lot about what you're reading. A little crazy but funny to listen to

Easy class. Relies mostly on her notes and not the textbook really. Just copy her notes and spit them out on the essay exam. Multiple choice on exams are easy. Cool professor- relaxed with a cynical nature.

Dr. Feldman is one of the BEST Profs I have ever had. I graduated from Hofstra in 2001 and then got my MA from Fordham in Poli Sci in 2004 and I have to say she WONDERFUL. I enjoyed her class, she is clear, she allows students to participate in lectures

Great professor. She likes to encourage smart discussion, and loves it when students disagree with her. You must be open to different thoughts and ideas to truly benefit in this class, otherwise you will find yourself writing negative reviews of her.

She doesn't look nearly as cool as she is. A little strange, has her opinions, but teaches the material really well. Grades papers and exams fairly. Encourages a great deal of participation without losing lecture time. Highly recommend.

Can you spell tuberculosis? People come to class with TB coughs and expect to be liked for it. IF YOU ARE SICK-- STAY HOME!

Good teacher. Does not rush through things, spent most of the semester going over two books in great depth. Ties back political theory to tangible examples. Interacts well with class, does not lecture at you. Good note taking is crucial, grades papers fairly. You could do a lot worse, trust you me.

she's very clear in her lecture, I don't like PSC but there's no hw, or essay. 3 test, just put an effort to study and you will have a good grade. she's straight forward. everything on the notes will be on the test. small light reading on the text throughout the course. also she checks attendance

I loved this class! I wish I could take it again. I learned so much and the workload was not bad at all... 3 tests, no homework and most of the readings were reiterated in the class lectures. Don't miss class and you'll be fine. Highly recommended.

amazing prof took all 3 of her theory classes. american political thought was my favorite as it was held in the poli sci lounge on couches. very relaxed atmosphere. shes a wonderful woman, a little nutty but she has an unbeatable knowledge and love for the material. TAKE HER CLASSES! Shes the best!

Great Professor, makes difficult subject matter fun, lectures are always inciteful. She is extremely fair and always willing to help. A must for any poli sci major. Tests are fair, grades fair as well.

She is one of the best professors at Hofstra, definately the best for any political thought class, a great instructor, knowledgable, class is always fun, you thinks she's going off topic when she starts to ramble, but somehow, it all becomes relevant. Extremely helpful and available. Tests can be tricky but extremely fair, no surprises.

If ever you needed to take a class with Dr. Leslie Feldman, you would be among the lucky. Excellent professor, fun lectures, great discussion and flexible/interesting paper topics. Exemplifies everything any professor could hope to be, a true credit to her department.

I've had Dr. Feldman twice in the 4 years I've been at Hofstra and she is, by far, my favorite professor on campus. She's down-to-earth but incredibly smart... she doesn't just lecture, class is always a discussion. I fell in love with Poli Sci because of Dr. Feldman and I actually enjoyed going to class!

She is a good professor, but so strange. Her class consists of 3 tests which arent that bad at all. She grades her essay hard though. She side tracks a lot and if she is sick or a drop of snow outside class is canceled! Her review class is good! Take her.

Good professor. class isn't easy if u dont know anything about Plato, Aristotle and all of those. A midterm, term paper and final. She gave review sheets for both but went over the last 2 book in only one class. Read the books and you ll do more than great. Put an effort and u ll get an A.

Great professor. Class was always pretty interesting. Anybody who did bad in her class were people who didn't show up to class. Only have 3 tests, no papers. Test questions come straight from the notes. Come to every class and you'll do great.

She is till teaching was out for a semester writing a book, yes she's strange, but she's extremely funny and brilliant, no one on the PSC staff knows more about political thought than her, a fair grader as well, no surprises, a must if you are a PSC major.

Dr. Feldman is awesome. There's no homework, attendance is not mandatory but honestly, you will fail the tests if you don't go to class, thats a given. If you don't do well in her class it's because YOU screwed up. She gave me an amazing chance to save my grade and I am so thankful to her and would definitely take a class with her again.

She is my favorite professor so far. she is smart, sarcastic, funny without even trying, i love her comments about "Great Neck" and i love how class is a big conversation about the books with relevance to everyday life. a mid a final and a term paper straight forward no BS read and pay attention and you'll do great! she is the best!

Go to class and take notes on what she says. Actually, go to every other class (after the second week) and take notes on what she says because she repeats exactly the same thing from the class before.Little bit of reading but not bad. Not a boring class. No hw,pretty easy but tests can b a little hard. Anything she repeats 10 times is on the test.

Dr Feldman is a cool prof. Her class is pretty easy and theres three tests (multiple choice and a short essay). Take her class, you wont regret it. She doesnt teach every semester. Anyway, she goes off on tangents a lot and her class is pretty interesting. Barely uses the book. Briefly review the chapter before the test but go with what she said!

Went to class everyday, payed attention half the time & still had great notes. Repeats things often so dont worry about missing anything so long as you attend class. Extremely interesting and can change topics on a dime. Has a review session before each class = Very useful. 3 tests, no HW & I never read. Bottom line, show 60% effort and u get an A.

At first i thought she was a little crazy, but she knows her stuff and repeats things so many times you remember it without having to study. 3 exams, all count equally. Usually gives out a study guide for you and offers some extra credit. Each exam has an essay and multiple choice. Textbooks are a waste to purchase.

Excellent professor! One of the best at Hofstra. She makes the class interesting and really fun, great sense of humor. Applies political theories from the past to today's world. She gives study sheets and extra credits assignments. Hw is not bad, just a 8 page term paper. Three tests and reading books. Def. take her, learned so much.

This class is ridiculously easy. Half of the class she talks about current day politics and other stuff unrelated to class. The other half she uses as a lecture. If you show up and take notes you'll have all the answers to the tests. But you can't miss any test days, she doesn't do make ups. No final.

She's crazy, but fun crazy. She'll definitely work with you to understand the material, but don't expect any form of structure during class. Everyone talks over each other and it makes it hard to understand sometimes. This class is mandatory for poli sci majors, and she is DEFINITELY the better choice over Himmelfarb

Really awesome professor. She makes political science interesting. She goes over things multiple times so it's impossible to miss anything, even if you miss a class. Her tests are straightforward and she grades the essays very easy.

Doctor Feldman is a little out there... actually she's really out there. Probably one of the most unintentionally funny professors I've ever had. Imagine if your crazy conservative aunt taught your polisci class. Best part is though that she's also a fantastic teacher. Everything is covered clearly and precisely. Lots and lots of review. Extremely easy class. Just copy down the notes that she puts on the board. No homework, 3 tests, and the last one (final exam) was a take home. She gets off topic alot and is pretty funny.

Great class that is fueled by political discussion that she connects to the topic at hand. Shes also pretty funny and allows her students to challenge her just participate and complete your papers on time and you will be fine

Absolutely loved this woman. 3 tests that are entirely based on lecture, so just copy down the Powerpoints and you'll be fine. Also completely willing to e-mail them to you if you ask her. She's hilarious, but if you don't test well or depend on a lot of grades to do well, then she might not be for you.

Loved this class and professor. Class functions like a forum to connect modern events to political theory in order to make the material easy to understand. Her personal stories are pretty entertaining as well. Go to class, and put effort into your essays and you'll be fine

She lectures the whole class but it's nothing crazy nor boring. She repeats a lot of the work we learn about so it sometimes seems like you're never learning something. No homework, just a few non cumulative tests. Good professor to take for an intro course, especially for non-poli sci majors.

Professor Feldman is a good teacher for poly science. She is a great person to engage in a course that is based around discussion. The course is test based, reading based and of course participation based. She is easy to contact outside of the class time, and is dedicated to working with you to get through the class.

Feldman is such a chill person, class is easy never read the textbook nor does she quiz you on the book. It's all based on what you learned in class. Great class!

If you are proficient in the English language there is no reason why you cannot receive an A in the class. She gives you notes and if you can memorize and read them you should get an A. Super sweet woman! Cares deeply about her students and wants them to excel! Thanks for a great semester!

Very easy class with 3 tests, some extra credit, and no homework. Dr. Feldman gets through the material efficiently and explains each topic of the course in great detail. Take good notes and youre bound to get an A

Professor Feldman is a wonderful professor who explains topics in detail for students. She is sweet, caring, and passionate about political science. I loved her class and hope to take her again!

NGL Feldman is an acquired taste. She repeats a lot but her tests are easy because of it. She sends guided notes and really explains everything. She also sends links to the free books you need so don't buy any books until she says so. Study and read along and you'll be good.

Great Political science class expect a midterm, final exam, and a final paper. She provides the textbooks which are online. But she explains well so you don't even need it. However, she goes through her lecture fast so you have to keep up with her. Feldman is understanding of lateness and very opinionated. I really enjoyed her class.

I love her!!!!!!! she has 3 test that make up the whole grade but they are all open notes and taken at home. super easy class and will give up to 3 points on each test if you write a one paged paper on an event you attended on campus. cannot recommend her enough. she will also email the notes if you want, all you have to do is ask.

i had her for american politics and when i tell you this was the best class ive ever taken. extremely boring lectures where i would do other work in class but EASY A. theres 3 online open book tests and extra credit for each test. shes so nice and at the end of each unit she will send you a doc with all her notes i could not recommend a class more
