easiest class ever...dont even go to class since the powerpoints are available online...only go to the class period before each exam to get the review...anyway shes very friendly and there is a lot of extra credit...highly recommended...
her lectures are intresting and she is a very smart lady but the tests are aplied knowledge and they can get somewhat confusing.
She's great. She was personally willing to help when I struggled.
At first I was a little turned off by the surprisingly strict classroom etiquette, but it turned out to be a pretty good class. Interesting and the lectures are really good. Study guides b4 exams help A LOT. I recommend this class if youre interested in reallylearning. Easy to get an A if you study.
very strict with her rules, feels like your in pre-k all over again. but test are ok, some were tricky, but if you study you'll do good.
if you study for the tests, you'll do ok. gives a lot of extra credit assignments that help A LOT! easy class, just study. lectures are sometimes boring though.

If you can avoid taking this teacher, do it! Her 10-15 page papers are horrible, her quizzes are pointless since they dont help in exams, and she doesnt help. I was looking forward to this PSY class cause most people say its a pretty easy class to get over and done with but Prof. Frazier sure did make it difficult. Highly NOT recommended.
This is the worst class I have ever taken!This lady is EVIL!She makes you write 6 papers all having to be 10-15 pages and she only gives you 1 week to write it and it has to be PERFECT and has to be researched perfectly. Do not take this teacher. She is the worst teacher I have ever gotten and FIU. She never helps and always is "busy" to respond our e-mails. Trust me don't take her!

i loved this prof., her class was easy, if a bit boring, but she was very clear and gave us plenty of extra credit to help our grades. I found the material very easy to follow and i do recommend taking her class

This teacher teaches a lot of students but she's extremely helpful if she knows you want to learn. You can't approach her in class because she's always in a rush, but if you see her doing office hours, she is extremely helpful. As long as you do the research labs early, and the reviews from each chapter, exams are fairly simple
Dr. Fraizer's lectures are fairly interesting. Reading every corner and little caption of the text is very important since 40% to 20% of her tests are trivial questions that you won't know unless you read EVERYTHING.
She is a tough one but the class isn't. The material is covered in depth during the sessions. WEBCT will be your friend in this course. You pass the quizes, you pass the class. Unfortunately, she offers no curve and requires you to buy an expensive key to access quizes. There is no better professor to take intro. to psych with.
She is one of the best professors I ever had. She knows what she teaches and is passionate about it. You must study for the tests, at least read the chapters, in order to get a decent score. I had fun attending to her lectures and would love to take another class with her.
I did not like this class very much.....she made the exams extremely difficult even if I had studied two weeks prior I still got a C or lower...

I learned a lot in her class. She is very passionate about the material, so it motivates you to learn. The material is not hard, but you do have to read the text in order to do well on the her quizzes and exams.
I did well in this class(A), however, this had nothing to do with the Prof. Frazier... She is condescending and I agree on the other person's comment...she IS selfish and almost evil...she needs to either learn to like teaching or get out of the classroom.
Very hard! I'm usually an A student, but I'm not doing well. I will probably end up with a C if I am lucky! She loves her work I give her that but she is not helpful. Her tests are very hard. I do a lot of studying... you need to read the whole book and memories insignificant details to be able to pass. Stay AWAY!!!!

I took this class online. It's very demanding! There are weekly discussions and quizzes which are timed and only show one question at a time. You must read in order to get a decent grade in this class. The professor is pretty fair but sticks to the rules.

OMG. I have only been in her class for one week and I hate it, but all of the other classes are full. This is a fascinating course. But beware - it is very challenging. Professor is enthsiastic and passionate about the topic and wants students to do well. Drops lowest exam grade, and offers comprehensive final if you don't like your exam grades. You all don't know what you're talking about. This is the best professor ever!
This professor is the WORST professor at any college I have attended. The average grade on her first exam was somewhere in the mid 60's and low 70's. Instead of trying to help her students find a way to fix that she sent an email saying she was so disappointed and that no one was trying hard enough. Maybe it was her who was doing something wrong!
I took her online and this is how it is!The exams have no structure: you do not know what to study and they consist of 6-7 chapters. Our of 3 exams, she drops 1 therefore she does not give any other credit opportunities. One assignment is 50% of your grade, so if you mess that up your screwed. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH L. FRAZIER!
This professor is mean. I took online. her emails to students are disrespectful and rude. Seriously! She is inflexible and all her exams are at least 40% trick questions. I have never rated a professor but out of compassion for future students STAY AWAY!!!!
Took it online. A lot of people think she is difficult. I did not. I read the chapter every week and took the quiz every week. If you follow the reading along with the outline she gives, you will be fine. I didn't have a problem in this class, and SOME material kind of interesting. Not a bad way to get an A.
Professor Frazier is great, her lectures are interesting and they will actually benefit you! Her class is easy as long as you read the book, go to her lectures because she does ask questions from them and also write a paper that is based on your opinion. Seriously, this is college people, let's try a little.
I choose this lab honestly because it was the last one left and i could not have made a better decision! This professor is fair and very knowledgeable. Of course as a senior you should be prepared to read and conduct your own scientific study, but as long as you attend class and lab you should not have any problems. She also gives in depth reviews.
Her course is nonsensical!! I took this class as an online course (big mistake). As much as I would read an understand the book it would not help me with the exams. 50 mn for a 50 questions exam. A minute per question it is NOT enough to read an analyze a question. Do NOT take this course , at least not online >_<

Online; University-level grader, aka, you really need to be prepared for a tough course that you will learn great info in. Tests were TRICKY, very detailed (some ask for demographics/stats), paper is lengthy.. but the purpose of Uni is to learn, and I learned. :-) Do recommend, BUT student must be prepared for a serious & disciplined course
I took her class online it was the worst decision I even made. This class is hard and unfair. The questions for test and quizzes are too specific she literally wants you to memorize the text book. She gives 50 min for 50 questions this is totally unfair. I would not recommend her online classes to anyone.
I really enjoyed this class. The professor is clear on what she wants from you, no guessing here! It's not an easy class, but not difficult either.
She's very dedicated to the learning environment. Short answer quizzes are challenging and the paper can be daunting at times, but overall I was pleased with the class. Great professor if you're serious about your education!
This is not an easy class. However, it has been the most rewarding class I have ever taken. She is concise on what you have to do. If you are interested in research then go for it!!!
This is the most beneficial class to anyone who plans to go into research. It's a senior lab but you should be use to hard work and effort by now so don't be intimated by the reviews. Professor is very hands on and dedicated, she is always willing to help you and takes you through each step in the process. Definitely recommend you won't regret it.
Quiz questions are ridiculously hard, but she acts like it is just the quiz bank's fault. She grades final papers very harshly, it seemed.
Amazing professor. If ur actually interested in going into research, take her & u won't regret it. if ur still on the fence about research as a career path, for sure you'll know by the end of this class if ur up for real research. Very hands on, very helpful. It's not an easy class tho, so if ur not up for some real work then don't bother.
online class was tough. the test are 50 minutes for 50 questions no skipping ahead or back. online is the worst way to take this course. She is evil just for designing the class this way. Test have trick questions.
I have never left a rating for a class but feel that I should put out a warning to other students. This online class is incredibly difficult, you have 13 minutes for each quiz, 10 questions. Do not follow her power points, they will only confuse you and cause you to score lower on the quizzes.
I was extremely nervous to take this class but it was the only available for the times I wanted so I had no other choice. Most rewarding class ever. You have to put in the time and work but it is possible. She helps you every step of the way with everything and it is very clear. She gives you the A you just need to follow instructions to get it!!
I read the textbook chapters every week and the power points and STILL had trouble on the 13 min, 10 question quiz. Her exams sometimes overlap with tests as well. 50 min for 50 questions is just not enough time, as well as you cannot go back or forward to double check.
AVOID!! She doesn't actually "teach." The book is the teacher. If you like to check your work before turning in an exam, this class is not for you! You only get 1 minute per question, and you can't go back! 50 questions for 50 mins. for exams. Plus, each week there's a 13 min. quiz for 10 questions. One major assignment at the end of the semester.
I'm not sure why people are complaining. Read the chapter and you'll be fine. People complaining probably just try to google the answers, stop slacking..this is college not high school. 3 exams drops lowest, 14 quizzes drops 4 lowest. Pretty easy unless you don't apply yourself or study.
This course is difficult, but it is a 4000 level course. You will have to study to pass, but the grading is very fair. You take 14 weekly quizzes (only keeps the highest 10) and 3 exams (only keeps the highest 2). This is the nice part. Also a 9pg final paper required, but you have all semester to work on it. Professor was fair in my opinion.
Do not take her. She does not help. You are basically on your one. there are 14 quizzes in total which only worth 10% of your grade. you have a quiz every week on 4 different chapters which is hard to keep up with if you are taking other classes. you need the book because her Powerpoints are not that helpful. Good luck!
I have never commented on professor my entire time at Fiu. However this professor is not helpful and grades very harsh. Will never take any class that she teaches. Her quizzes and test does not allow enough time to take.
She is not as very helpful, she takes long to reply to emails, and does not really care about student's grade and or helping them.
4 quizzes 10%, 3 exams 40% and 1 paper on the documentary "Super size me" worth 50% of your grade.Does not grade paper until very end of the semester.I got a 70% on the paper, with one one comment consisting of 38 words. If you are going to give low grades, you need to point out what is wrong with the assignment,not just give a generic comment.

Not very difficult, but there is a lot of reading. Tedious, incredible amounts of effort for what little tests and quizzes are worth. The rhythm of her class is very simple - one weekly quiz, 3 exams total, one huge assignment (yes, huge - worth 70% of your overall grade). Be ready to read a lot as exams and quizzes are VERY specific in terms of facts and info directly from the textbook which is covered from A-Z. She provides no assistance in office hours, and very little online.

Took this class online, its a test every single week, then and exam every 3-4 weeks, plus the regular test, no extra credit, and she does not respond to your emails or phone calls if you have questions about your papers. I would not take a class with this professor, very sad, paying for a class, 5 months of studying for a C.
This teacher takes her job way too seriously. She is a flat out B... My aunt passed away 3 weeks into the semester and she could care less if that meant i lost an assignment. I had an error taking a test which blackboard deemed it was THEIR fault.. and again she could care less and did not allow me to re-take the exam.. just awful experience

The quizzes can be a little difficult. 1 paper on the Super Size Me documentary. I took the class while pregnant and went into labor a few days before an exam. Just make sure you THROUGHLY read the chapters.I got an A
She has a real thing for people that are late, text during class, or some anywhere remotely close to cheating. She is really really strict. dont take her unless you have to
I am an AB student, I study and read and make sure that I know the content before taking an exam (hense my grades). However, with every exam I took I got C's and I couldn't understand why. I went to see her every other week, I felt like I was her TA or something... Nothing helped, I couldn't figure it out. I ended up getting a C in her class!
Test questions are not direct and worded in such a manner to confuse students. No extra credit. 1 paper for the course which is graded unfairly. Not enough time allowed for tests. I'm an A student and left this class with a C+ . Please avoid at all costs.

I took this 6 week course online during the summer, it was a super easy A. Three tests (best two are averaged and 80% of overall grade) and 11 quizzes (best eight are averaged and 20% of the grade). All you have to do is read and go over the power points before the quiztest. Get the right edition of the book no matter what.

the exams (3 total-lowest grade dropped-20% of grade is the avg of 2 top scoring exams. 50 quest, 50 mins to answer) & the quizzes (14 quizzes, drops 4 lowest scores. 13 mins for 10 quest, cant go back) weren't difficult. 70% of grade is on a paper on the movie Bucket List. unfairly graded. Got marked down for not answering quest she didn't ask!
It seems pointless to spend the whole semester reading the book, taking quizzes and exams, when the only thing that matters in this class is this big worthless paper about the super size me documentary. A paper that is worth 70% of your grade and it has nothing to do with the book you just read. Pointless class, worthless professor.

The material was very insightful; it was an excellent learning experience; I am walking away with a significant amount of knowledge. The Professor, on the other hand, is consumed with being in control as oppose to working with the student so they can succeed. Students are treated like a number and not an individual.

The prof seems to always be away on some trip. The quizzes and tests are timed, can't go back to another question, and not enough time. Would not take again.
She have a movie for the Class, watch the Movie and understand answers the questions. and study the book for quiz and exam don't worry about her power point . really reading each chapter words to words to pass each quiz and exams. But do well on the last paper you'll pass her class. not so bad after all.

Exams are taken using ProctorU and you are charged $15 per exam. PowerPoints provided. Final paper (60-70%) involves tying in movie and textbook. Wouldn't take it again with her.
The structure of this course is unfair and not beneficial to students. there is only a midterm, a final and an optional cumulative exam and a final paper worth more than the exams. no study guide whatsoever so you're forced to read the entire book. the exams probably only cover 2-3 chapters which is not fair. Unhelpful if a student is having probs.
Most boring class I've ever taken. Grade is based on 2 exams and 1 paper. Exams are very difficult, 50 questions with 60 mins to complete. Can't backtrack on it either. Is kinda rude in emails and not helpful at all. Quizzes are extra credit. Don't take her. You'll work your ass off, not learn anything, and barely get a decent grade.

The WORST Professor EVER! Don't take her course. Her exams are extremely difficult. Midterm (based on 7 chapters) and final (7 chapters) never in my life have I been so stressed from this class. Being a psych major I was very dissapointed with this professor. I didn't learn a thing in this class which is upsetting. Don't do it. STAY AWAY!!!
one big paper due last day of class work on throughout semester don't leave till last minute worth 60 % of your grade and its based on a documentary where the answers are spaced out and you need to cite other research papers. the rest of your grade is based on your exam which is through proctor u, but she doesn't give you a study guide on it.
Worst professor ever. No involvement unless to blame you for failing, when she doesn't give you any support. If I could, I would take her degree away from her. Basically, 1-2 tests and 1 paper determine if you pass or not. You have to read the entire book and get tested on every minor information, but the main subject. She had to curve every exam.
The only work for this class was a midterm, final, and optional cumulative final. In order to pass these you really need to read through the chapter a lot. There was also one paper at the end of the class based on a documentary and an extra credit quiz each week. Not an easy class at all, you really have to read and put 100% in this course.
This was my first and LAST time taking an online course. For one, you have to pay for your exams since they're administered through ProctorU. Then, the questions on the exams don't even cover the important topics in the text. The quizzes are the only good thing the course has to offer. I made a C+, and I'm NOT a C student. Class was not difficult but the teacher was very meticulous about how she wanted things done. Her exams are very detailed, read every sentence in the chapter.

The only thing I can say about this class and professor is it should be labeled as an INDEPENDENT STUDIES only. Took this online and in the whole 16 weeks, heard from professor maybe 5 times. Be prepared to memorize every word of every chapter. No discussions, quizzes extra credit and no help for tests. Do not join WhatsApp. Says is cheating
Tests are 7 chapters long, no reviews, questions are extremely detailed. The goal of the course will quickly shift from learning to desperation to simply pass As a straight A student who works hard for my grade, I can say that the professor does not design this course for learning, her lack of interaction and assistance will set you up for failure
AWFUL. First, you HAVE TO rent her book that she wrote which is about 180 dollars, the midterm is 7 chapters, the final is 7, the questions are about insignificant details that you skip over studying, she doesnt reply to messages, and you have to get HBO to watch the film you have to do the paper on. Im an A student barely getting a C here.
How is she even qualified to "teach"; if that's what we're going to call it. The only thing she did all semester was a disappearing act; she was THE ABSOLUTE WORST. She gives two exams for 20% each or an optional cumulative exam for 40%, with a paper worth 60% of your grade. Good luck cause you're going to need it. Expect a lot of mediocrity.
Actually, Dr. Frazier is great. The stuff was so interesting, and the grading was tough, but I like it when I know what I have to do to get the grade I need.
If you want to take a course where you are required to "write a paper" (really its just answering questions in list format) based on a trendy, pseudoscientific "documentary" which was most likely filmed by idealistic millennials and which blames the abuse of schedule two narcotics on "societal pressures", then please ENROLL TODAY!

I honestly liked the material since it deals with health and illness. But this teacher, I dont recommend at all. The weekly quizzes that are due is literally one percent per week and a total amount of 10% for all that work ; 40 percent the midterm & final. A written assignment that is 60% and that has nothing to do with the class.

This professor is one of the worst professors you could take at FIU. Do yourself a favor and do not take her, on top of being a hard grader she doesn't believe in helping the students what so ever. this course was way cool. Only course I taken that is really about things are mattering.
The class material was VERY interesting as it relates to real-life situations and help. If you do all the work and EC, you WILL pass. The book provided for the class is also written by her, so she knows her stuff. I just DO NOT like her attitude. I would say she's quite cold and hostile, which I personally think shouldn't be with an online class.
Interesting course, work loaded expected but grading system is terrible. Grade is mostly determined by weekly quizzes and the occasional exam. Gives you no time to complete the quiz (as many minutes as there are questions) and isnt considerate of students time. Possible to pass but be willing to change your schedule and the drop of a dime.
Honestly the worst prof I have ever had. Incompetent, rude, and gives a criminal amount of work. She does not respond to emails because apparently it's a waste of her time and "you should have read the syllabus." Quizzes and exams are based on little details that are found in her book rather than big picture concepts. Stay away.
Very hard class. You have to know the material. She locks your overall grade and does not know let you know your overall grade.
worse professor I've had. she is not nice to student. does not try to help you at all! if you email her about your grade she gets mad. basically teaching yourself.
Not considerate of students. tests are 80% of the grade. you have to read every week and pay attention to specific details in the textbook for the tests. The textbook is mandatory. I wouldn't take another one of her classes again.
Literally the worst professor. Exams are worth 80% of your grade and they are hard. I took her online and she gives 50 questions and only 50 minutes and she includes long questions so a minute is not enough time to read and answer the questions. She also disables the grade calculator on canvas so you dont know your grade for the entire semester.
I dropped the class right away due to this professor asking for too much. You have to download Honorlock, you have to pay for Launchpad plus textbook. NO ONE has money right now for all that due to the COVD 19. Just in the first week almost every student in the class felt overwhelmed due to almost no one passing her quizzes.
(I took this class during the pandemic online) the coursework is not difficult to understand; but it was stressful enough without a professor that answers important questions about grading and confusing instructions vaguely / last minute. She focuses heavily on statistics instead of actual content, so just try to mind every percentage in the book
Great class. hard, but a not many FiU psychology classes are really helpful in real word. This one is.

doesnt interact with class what so ever. 75% of grade comes from exams you take and each one is based off 4 chapters at a time and you only have a minute per question, can only see one question at a time, and cannot change answer once you submit. the questions are very specific and the exams are nearly impossible to make A even if you cheat
Great professor. Just wants to help you get better at the stuff. but there is a lot of it -quizzes, assignments, exams, wish there was a little less, but there is a point to it.
She's very knowledgable. The textbook required for her class is a book she actually wrote herself. The book holds the key to answers for all her quizzes/tests so make sure you read the chapters, if you do you will pass easily. Other assignments include some weekly launchpad assignments, super easy.
She is absolutely horrible. She doesnt reply to emails. We had to contact the head of the department just so she would allow us to see our grade in canvas. She never wants to help with errors with the homework. She doesnt respond to her emails. When you ask for clarification she rudely tells you to look at the syllabus. Save time and money. Avoid
Great Professor. Really cares about her students. If you are nice to her, she is nice to you. Butshe has high expectations so be prepared to work.
Great course. Practical course not like so many psychology courses where you just learn about nothing that matters.

This professor will give you bad grades and not tell you why. She has exams of 50 questions for 50 minutes (meaning you only have a minute to answer each question). These exams are 80% percent of your grade so you need to know your stuff. Her work has nothing to do with the textbook so you need to self-teach yourself material before an exam.
Great class. I dont like the Psychology classes at FIU, they don't teach you anything but this one is real good.
Her book is brilliant you can tell she worked hard on it, so she's a very tough grader doesn't tell you what to study, its separated into 7 chapters per test(1 mid term and 1 Final) if you fail or want a better grade on any them there's a cumulative final with everything. Don't take if your looking for an easy A
Great class, the first class that talks about real problems in Psychology not just junk about stuff that'd does not matter.
While the class is interesting, she gives you TONS of homework to do in one week. Every week, we had to do a discussion, launchpad activities, and chapter quizzes. For the exams, she likes to test on LITTLE details and lots of data facts. Make sure to read EVERY SINGLE word within every chapter because she wants you to know Health Psych inside out
Mrs. Frazier cares about student and this class is about real stuff we live with not brains or statistics. The class is work but that is OK.
Unrealistic. This professor requires professional development and a team of instructional designers to correct their unethical teaching methods.

I HIGHLY recommend Frazier because her class was not a dread. She assigns weekly discussions which are not dreadful and actually make you reflect on important things. She also assigns weekly quizzes and assignments which are not difficult. She is not a tough grader. Just remember to read for the two exams.
This is my first time writing a bad review for a professor. The class is composed entirely of 3 exams which are 50 questions and 50 minutes. Having one minute per question is absurd considering there is no assignments or practice quizzes available to study. She does not reply to emails and is inconsiderate towards students. Do not take her at all!

professor Frazier was one of the most terrible professors I have ever had. She took forever to respond to emails and when she did her emails were not clear as to what she was saying back. Her exams were solely based off of the text book and even then when you read the text book it still didn't help with the exams. she was just terrible
