Very, very good teacher. Actually makes you understand some of the hardest material.

Marshall's (one of the few) finest Professor! Teaches tough material in a way you understand it and learn it! VERY WILLING to help you out, very understanding! WE NEED MORE LIKE HER!
Hard tests...with no curve.

The best professor I had at Marshall!!!!
Frost was an awesome first and second semester chem prof. I learned so much. She's a little tough on the tests and quizzed but its nothing too bad. If you're looking for someone interesting and someone who teaches harder more in depth stuff this is it.
tests are so easy i had a 99% in the class and i am an idiot...so take it from there

WONDERFUL professor! Makes CHM interesting..VERY helpful! her son is the cutest! Very intelligent! Marshall is lucky to still have her around! Ask questions she will help you as much as she can! great professor..better than any other CHM professors at MU!
Very very nice teacher. She gives you second chances on all your quizzes ....HOw many prof. does that!!!!she is also very understanding!!
I had Dr. Frost for both biochem and mass spec. She is among the most friendly professors I've ever had. Not only does she practically spoonfeed you the material, but she also helps you learn how to use the mass spec instrumentation.
she is very helpful and teaches very clearly.
Dr. Frost is great! She explains all of the material very well, and your tests are pretty much word for word from your notes! She is always willing to answer questions, and it is pretty hard not to get an A in this class! A great professor!
Dr. Frost is the best professor that I have had at M.U. You have an easy 5 question quiz on Monday and on the following Friday if you aren't satisfied you can retake it. She gives you opportunities to look at old exams. She is a great professor!
Wonderful teacher. She writes on the board so that you have visuals as well as explaining verbally. She will work out any problems that you don't understand. Very fair, very helpful... great teacher!
Dr. Frost is great~if you have to take CHM 203 for your major, I recommend taking her class. She gives you study guides for every tests and the option to retake quizzes if you fail. :)
Dr Frost is a great teacher. She is very friendly and approchable.

She's a good teacher and very helpfull. The tests aren't too bad if you study the problems.
Frost is an amazing teacher. I would love to take her for lecture some time. She explains problems very well, and her tests aren't that bad. Just study how to work everything out and the main points of each lab.
Dr. Frost is my favorite professor in the Chm Dept.! She is so intelligent and helpful. Biochem was my favorite chm class. Please take Dr. Frost if you want to learn and have fun. Attend class, take notes, and you will pass.
Dr. Frost is a really good teacher! She's so nice and helpful and tries to explain things as clearly as possible. She gives out example problems and answers them for you. The tests aren't bad and you hardly ever have to read the book. =)
Dr. Frost is an awesome teacher. She explains concepts really cleary and shows you how to solve every type of problem that will be on exams. Before this class I was horrible at chemistry, now I'm doing great. She's the best chemistry teacher ever. She's also a really nice person in general.
Dr. Frost is an amazing teacher. I had her for chm lab, and it was my best class this semester. She explains everything well and if you have any questions she will always help you out! Her grading is fair and she makes the class fun! I highly recommend that you take her if you can!
She helped clarify everything my 211 professor had said, and the labs were fun. but for some reason she messed up my grade and I'm bitter over that.
Dr. Frost was amazing! I learned more in this class than any other chemistry class I've had. She's really great to help students out and let's everyone know what's expected.
Good professor. Lively class. If I could complain about one thing, the textbook was worthless. Stick with her notes, and you will be fine! Highly recommend!
Dr. Frost is a cool lady. Don't even bother getting a textbook- her notes are great. Don't miss classes, or you will be totally lost. I was expecting the class to be hard, and it was- I busted my ass to get a B+, but I definitely learned a lot.
I learned an amazing amount and in this class you get exactly what you put into it.
Easy class. Teaches very well and clearly also very organized. Did absolutely no work and read nothing and pulled a C out. If you studied for more than 5 minutes or actually did some of the practice problems you would probably get an easy A. No graded homework, only exam scores.
I was worried about this class at first because I did not take Biochem lecture first. However, Dr. Frost was understanding and the pre-lab material she provided (along with the biochem text) was enough for me to understand what I was doing. I love Dr. Frost, and I would recommend her for anyone!
Hard class; you'll have to study a lot. however, she's a good, fair, and helpful professor; she's also enthusiastic and makes it bearable.
This class would be as hard as organic if anyone other than Dr. Frost taught it. She at least makes it easy to get a C. She is very clear in explaining things, but her tests are very hard. She will pull something small from the notes for an essay question, and if you didn't go over that well in your studying, you're out 7 or 8 points already.
shes a space cadet for sure, super cool, super understanding, wants you to learn, over excited about her topics, great prof!
Dr. Frost is amazing! I was a nervous wreck coming into college chem, and she made everything totally understandable. She doesn't hand you your grade, but she makes it so that you understand everything and want to do good. I would recommend her for anything. She's the best!!
Excellent instructor! By far the best of the chemistry department ... perhaps the university! Very understanding and is always willing to help. Very intelligent and articulate.
OK teacher, willing to help but moves very fast. Tests are extremely hard. Online homework due every week, and is nearly impossible. Tries to help class when everyone is failing. I would not recommend if you are not VERY familiar with introductory chemistry.
if you are trying to take a good chem 211 teacher to be intorduced into chem and get a good foundation to build off of i would take her, easy test, very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to help you i will def try and take her again
Was nervous, but she rocked. Wish i could continue taking her for other classes. Very helpful, would go out of her way to help !!!!! Great Prof
Dr. Frost is the best CHM 211 teacher! DONT BUY THE BOOK! She doesn't use it. The notes are perfectly clear, and her tests are only written from the notes! She helps you on the tests if you ask her what something means!!!!! :D
Frost is amazing. She's one of the top three chemistry professors at Marshall. She loves helping students, creates very clear notes, and her quizzes and problem sets directly reflect exam material. If you do the work, she will help you and you will get a good grade. She really prepares you for the following chemistry courses.
quizzes every week. loved her as a professor. wish i would have taken lecture from her!
Dr. Frost is seriously the best professor you could have for 211. All of her notes for every chapter are online at the beginning of the semester. She's very helpful, and her tests aren't impossible. She's very clear to what she expects, and she follows the syllabus very well.
Dr Frost is awesome. She is on top of grades and hmwk. Will ALWAYS answer questions helpfully, maybe not in class but her office is always open. Had problems with hmwk not submitting online and was super sweet about it. REALLY knows her material! Attendance isn't mandatory but helpful. If you fail her classes its your own fault!
Simply just an awesome teacher and a must take. Very easy to understand and everything you do in class is printed offline. So don't buy the book.
Excellent professor! She is a must take! The book is not necessary she had all the materials you need online. I never opened the book and I got an A.
Wonderful professor. She is very helpful and gives many examples in class. She creates her own lecture notes which the tests come directly from. Use of the book is discouraged unless you need clarification. Provides problem sets which her tests have similar problems to as well as goes over these problems before an exam. Highly recommend.
Fantastic, my favorite professor! She is passionate about the subject as well as helping students who seek assistance. She made a class I would normally dread into a class I looked forward to attending.
She's great! I only wish she was teaching CHM 212 and Organic!
I LOVE PROFESSOR FROST!!! She puts her lectures on blackboard so you can print them off and follow along as she teaches straight from them (I recommend)!! I actually learned a lot in her class. Class is not mandatory and she doesn't take attendance. She lets you know what is on weekly quizzes. Her exams are not difficult at all. Loved her class!!!!
I really liked Dr Frost. Only complaint is exams are tailored to just her notes. Sometimes supplementary stuff from textbooks and study guides don't really resemble her exam questions. Other than that she's top-shelf. She teaches in the year 2014 unlike others at MU. Gives equations on exams. Very thoughtful. Awards partial credit. Is engaging.
Proffessor Frost is awesome, if you need help ho see her and she will go out of her way to help you. Also she is always telling us stuff that is going to be on the tests in class, great teacher i wish I could take her for all my chemistry classes.
Dr. Frost was great. She was approachable, knowledgeable, & helpful. She made old exams available, put her lecture notes online to print, & even made up problem sets for each chapter. Somehow, though, I always left class thinking I understood the material because she made it sound so easy, but it was actually difficult. Still would take her again.
Dr. Frost is one of the greatest professors I have ever had. She is very clear during lectures and will go over material more than once if she notices the students aren't getting it. Tests are usually easy, however there is always one question that throws you for a loop. She is always open to help her students, sometimes even during tests.
I have taken Dr. Drost for General Chem and Biochem. She is an amazing professor and is the entire reason I have fallen in love with biochemistry. Her lectures are always interesting and well explained. Exams are hard, but possible with adequate preparation. She always gives partial credit on exams and builds 4 bonus points into every exam!
Dr. Frost is INCREDIBLE! She makes chemistry seem simple, and she loves when students ask questions. I highly recommend Dr. Frost because she communicates chemistry very clearly. If you need a chemistry class, take her and do not think twice about it!
This was by far my favorite class this semester. Dr. Frost is really cool. She encourages questions and explains biochem beautifully. She's straightforward and tests fair. There won't be anything surprising on exams. I highly recommend her for any class. Don't bother with the book because her notes are the best.
LOVE DR. FROST! You can tell she cares about her students and loves what she does. If you took AP in high school you will barely need to study for 211.
The best science professor I have ever had. She is hilarious, caring, and laid back in her class and office. The material isn't too hard and if you study a little and do the homework then you will get an A. Her enthusiasm makes the class more enjoyable, and she will stay after to help you with anything. Highly recommend taking her.
Dr. Frost was an amazing professor! I would take her again for sure! Her tests are pretty difficult, but she gives a lot of chapter problems and old exams to prepare you for the exams. If you do the practice exams and problems, you will definitely pass with an A. She will also tell you what to do on the exams if you are stuck on one! #amazing
You can tell she really cares about teaching. Kees it fun and interesting :)
Dr. Frost explains things really easily and gives good examples. You will have online homework every week, but she will help you if you go to her office. Grades very leniently on tests and gives tons of partial credit.
Dr. Frost is an amazing professor. Always willing to help anyone in or out of class, always does a review before and exam, is helpful while taking exams, she also takes time to show applications of chemistry in the real world.
Dr. Frost is extremely helpful, especially on exams. She gives you multiple practice problem sets to study, previous exams, and intensive lecture notes. She'll even help you if she can when you're actually taking the exam. Definitely one of the best professors in the Chemistry Department.
Dr. Frost clearly presents the information for this class, but you must also study on your own if you are going to get an A. Chemistry is a difficult subject, but Dr. Frost is almost always available to help students. CHM 212 requires work, but Dr. Frost will help you whenever you need assistance.
Doctor Frost is very kind and will help you no matter what. I always went to her before an exam and got help with questions I could not understand and she would always help. There is a homework assignment, ALEKS, every week but it's nothing too tough.
There's already so many reviews about how amazing this woman is. She is the nicest chemistry professor. She will help you on tests, online homework, anything. Not intimidating and arrogant. Simply wonderful. Moves kinda fast, no textbook, and makes her notes available online. Do WHATEVER you can to take her!!
Amazing professor, always willing to answer questions and help. Lecture material is what you're tested on and she posts notes online, and gives your practice problems and old tests to practice with.
Dr. Frost is a great professor. She is willing to help her students understand the material. She teaches off of lecture notes which are posted online. Exams are based off of the lecture notes, and she provides practice exams and problem sets, which she discusses in class the class before the exam. Attendance not required.
Dr. Frost is an amazing professor. She really knows what she is teaching and has a real passion for it. She wants you to learn and will help you any time that she can. By far the best chemistry professor I have had. Studying and ALEKS is a must to pass, but like I said she will help even with those. She posts practice problems and old exams online.
She is so so helpful if you are willing to reach out to her!
Dr. Frost is the best professor Marshall University has to offer. She is extremely knowledgable and will go out of her way to help you in or out of class. The tests are difficult and make you think, but as long as you study her printed notes and do the practice problems, you will succeed. Truly interesting class and Dr. Frost is a great lecturer.
The BEST chemistry professor at Marshall. Dr. Frost makes the most complicated ideas and concepts of chemistry seem so simple. Shes always available outside of class for help, gives partial credit on exams, and prepares you for the final exam. Really cares and is passionate about what she does. Would recommend her to anyone.
Couldn't say enough about Dr. Frost. I went from having a C in CHM211 to an A in CHM212. Dr. Frost genuinely wants her students to learn, and expresses so much enthusiasm and passion in her lectures. I always hated chemistry, but now it's one of my favorite classes just because of Dr. Frost. Take her!!! You will learn and love it!
Cant say enough good about her. She is so intelligent and does so good at teaching. Her tests arent difficult if you study and she even gives four percentage points on every test so you have some breathing room. Defiantly gonna take her again.
Dr. Frost is an amazing professor. When she is available she will always help you outside of class. While her lectures are not mandatory I highly suggest you go because she is exceptional at explaining concepts. Definitely take her. I wish she taught every chem class.
Dr. Frost is an amazing professor. She is so kind, funny, and genuinely cares about her students. She is more than willing to take time and help you if you care enough to ask and try. I struggle immensely with chemistry so the fact that I pulled a C in this class is a miracle and is due to her being available so often. 10/10, would take again.
She explains all concepts amazingly clearly and is helpful during her office hours. Posts old exams and problem sets to help you practice EXACTLY what is on the exams. Posts her lecture slides which explain concepts almost as well as she does. Her homework is actually helpful and if you do all of it she gives extra credit! Hard to fail her class.
Although you can miss lecture, I'd highly recommend going for your own benefit. Even if you miss one class you'll need to catch up on a lot by yourself. Dr. Frost is easily the best teacher in the chemistry department. Avoid other profs at all costs. She gives additional homework on sapling that boosts your grade and helps you understand concepts.
Dr. Frost is a great professor. She gives partial credit on tests. She gives you notes to print off.
Very good professor who explains concepts in clear ways. Grades easy and fairly. Would definitely take again.
Dr. Frost is by far the best chemistry professor. If you have the chance take her class. If you go to lecture and do the Sapling, you will pass. She is very clear with lecture and gives great lecture notes. Grading is the 4 exams, the final, and the sapling and they all are worth the same amount of points. Amazing professor, I highly recommend.
If you have the option to take Dr. Frost's class, do it!! She tests you on material exactly like the notes and truly wants to see her students succeed.
Highly recommend this class. Frost is an angel.
Dr. Frost is one of those professors that you can tell genuinely cares about her subject and her students. She answers all questions even if it takes lecture time, notes are provided, the homework is online, you have over a week to do it, and she'll do them with you in front of the class if you need help. She's a force of nature, in the best way.
You can tell Dr. Frost really enjoys teaching and cares about student success. She assigns Sapling homework every chapter, but will help on problems in class if you ask questions. She posts notes for you to print which go along exactly with her lecture. Her tests are fairly easy and she always goes over an old exam the day before an exam!
Dr. Frost is an amazing professor. I have her for CHM 211 and her class is one of my favorites. The way she explains the material makes it super easy to understand. She's very kind to her students, and gives us heads up early if we are having an assignment to turn in or are having an exam.
Best chemistry professor ever. She truly cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed. If you are struggling and ask for help, she will get back to you super quickly and explain things. She is a phenomenal professor and teaches the course subjects really well so that everyone understands, even if chemistry is not your strong suit.
Perfect professor. Gives a guide for all chapters for you to take notes on during lectures. The test is always what you go over and the homework she assigns. Not much homework but what she does assign helps a ton. Responds back very fast over email. Records all lectures. Gives out old tests and goes over the questions. You find a better teacher.
Dr. Frost is one of the most caring and accessible professors Ive had the privilege to take. She wants her students to succeed and will try her best to help in any way that she can. Be sure to study A LOT and complete the saplings, without them the test are going to be DIFFICULT. Difficult class, but youll get a lot out of it!!
TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU'RE GOING TO MED SCHOOL. This class was hard work, but I learned so much. Exams are your only grades. They are difficult & highly detailed, but Dr. Frost provides practice problems & exams, as well as class notes. I completely relied on her notes & lectures to learn, & only used the book for practice problems (provided on BB).
Difficulty of the class is very reasonable. Explains things well and incorporates interesting examples into lectures. She seems to really enjoy the things she teaches, and is easy-going a nice.
Dr. Frost is legit an ANGEL. She is the best chemistry professor Marshall has no doubt. Her lectures are very entertaining and the way she teaches is very straight forward and fun. The only grades in this class were tests, but she gives you so much practice problems and her tests are very fair. Pay attention in lecture and do the practice problems.
Dr. Frost is a really funny, good professor. Lectures are very interesting and straight forward. There are only 5 tests and no other assignments, so they're very important. Some questions are a little random on the essays, but overall it's a great class.
The absolute best professor I have ever had. I love Dr. Frost so much I took biochem despite it not even counting toward my major. By no means is this class easy, but Dr. Frost makes the material fun to learn and teaches with such enthusiasm and care that it is a fun class with interesting material
Dr. Frost is arguably the best professor I have ever had. I took Biochem 1 and 2 with her and both were great experiences. She makes every subject she teaches interesting and relevant and is willing to help with virtually any question you may have. Overall, she is a total legend, do not miss her classes.
Dr. Frost is by far one of the best professors at this university! Her lectures are very straightforward and cover exactly what will be on the exams. Exams aren't bad at all, and she is willing to help you with any problem (practice, other chem classes, homework, etc.). Make sure you do the homework and study the old exams posted online.
Dr. Frost is by far the best professor I have had in three years of being at Marshall! She is super understanding, very devoted to science, and always provides ways to improve your grade. The only bad thing is that you are reliant on four tests to keep your grade up, but they usually aren't too bad. I highly recommend Dr. Frost!
Dr. Frost is one of the best professors I've had. She is transparent about what she wants you to know and gives you old exams and practice problems (not for grades). She recorded all the lectures so you could watch them again, which really helped, but I loved going to her class. If you attend class and put the effort into studying you'll do fine.
Dr.Frost's lectures were great, everything she taught was almost exactly like her exams. Some exams are harder but she gives you a bunch of resources to practice. She gives you old exams to study, records her lectures, and homework to help your grade. She is a great teacher and is super understanding.
Dr. Frost is such a great professor. She understands if you're having issues and is reachable outside of class. She's a true gem in the chem department. She made biochemistry lots of fun. Her upper classes can be hard just because of the content. She explains stuff very well and is very approachable. Show up to class, practice, and get extra credit
Dr. Frost is great and makes the class fair. This doesn't mean it wasn't hard, you must study for a good grade(it is chemistry!). All lectures recorded so going isn't mandatory. Clinical examples make everything more interesting. This is a must take before MCAT.
Her class has 4 exams and 1 final, No homework. Each exam has multiple choices and couple essays. you have to pay attention and study a lot to pass the test. If you have problem with study, you can walk-in to her office to get some suggestion that would be help you understand the lecture and prepare well on the exam.
Dr.Frost is one of the best professors at Marshall in my opinion. She truly cares about her students learning and helps with as much material and responses as she can. She responds to emails fairly quickly. She funny and super sweet. When she teaches she teaches you in a way that you can understand.
Dr. Frost is an awesome professor. Her lectures are explained in a way that establishes a strong understanding of the material. The class is made up of four exams and achieve homework. Do the achieve and problem sets, and you will perform well in the class.
Dr. Frost is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She genuinely cares about you learning and sets you up to succeed. You do have to put in work, as chemistry is a hard course, but so long as you study and pay attention in class you'll pass. Can't speak highly enough about her though and how well she breaks down and explains difficult concepts.
The GOAT of the chemistry department. Take her at all costs. She broke down the material so well and helped me with anything I needed.
Dr. Frost is one of, if not the best professor at Marshall University. She is so kind, caring, and really wants her students to succeed. The content of her lectures can be difficult, but she is more than willing to help if you have any questions. She also gives partial credit and bonus questions on exams to help you get a better grade. I love her!
Dr. Frost genuinely cares about her students and is there for you to succeed. There isn't a bad thing you could say about her, she is funny, always reminds you of due dates and tests and is very understanding. Her notes are thorough and will tell you exactly what she is going to put on her tests. Only downside to this class is very few grades.
Dr. Frost is one of the best assets at the university. If you struggle in chemistry, take her class. She is a remarkable professor. I was first in line for her 212 course. She explains things very clearly, while answering any questions you may have. Wonderful person and professor.
The best chemistry professor I have ever had. Always take her if it is possible, she makes chemistry so easy to understand. 4 tests and a cumulative final, the hardest test was the 3rd for a lot of people. Extra credit available on achieve along with homework. Offers problem sets/old tests. She also does teams while teaching if you cant make it.
Professor Frost was so caring and enthusiastic during this whole class. This was a summer class (6wk)which made the material move quickly, but she does her best to give everyone a fair chance at earning an A. Although the lectures are pretty lengthy, she provides plenty of helpful resources for the exams. I would definitely take her again!
By far the best professor I've had at Marshall. As long as you study and do the practice exams she gives on Blackboard you will get an A. Had her during the summer and I did everything online except for exam days.
This is the best class I have ever taken. It is not easy, but Dr. Frost is such a great professor it motivated me to learn the material well. She does not round up in this class, but does offer 10 extra credit points at the end of the course. I would definitely recommend this course for any premeds!!
Dr. Frost is an amazing professor. She explains things so that a middle schooler could understand. You also can tell that she cares about your success in her course. Wish I could take her for every chemistry course. Pay attention and you'll pass. I recommend utilizing the recorded lectures and notes and skipping class.
There aren't enough good things to say about Dr. Frost. She is one of the sweetest educators I have ever had, and you can tell she genuinely enjoys teaching. She breaks hard concepts down in a way that you understand. I loved her class and I am taking her again for CHM 212. After hearing about the other chem professors, she is by far the best.
Prof. Frost is an exceptional teacher. Her lectures are thorough, and she provides ample resources like recorded lectures and practice exams to help students succeed. While the content can be challenging, she's caring and understanding. Unstuck AI was a game-changer for my study prep.
Leslie Frost is the Chemistry GOAT. Take her for as many credits as possible. Cares for every student no matter how large the group is. Epitome of what a perfect professor would be.
She is genuinely the best prof I've ever had. She explains things well and has so much understanding for students.
Leslie Frost is a national treasure that must be protected at all costs.
Taking Dr. Frost was one of the best decisions I made as a Marshall student. She carefully explained each concept in her lectures and showed a real interest in the subject. There is homework for every chapter that counts adds up to be equivalent to a test grade. I would take her for every CHM course if possible!
Great all around professor. Would recommend.
Dr. Frost is the GOAT of chemistry. Can't wait to take her for 212 and hopefully biochem one day!
Love Mrs. Frost.
Chem may be hard, but she made it easy
Love Dr. Frost. Who doesn't? Lots of opportunity through McGraw to get a good grade cushion (points). Cares you succeed, super chill, great teacher, and she lets you know what you can expect before each test.
