Very nice and funny...class is easy but there is more acting involved than most drama 62 classes...midterm and final are acting but very easy

Class is not very difficult. You have to see two performances a year. Mid term and Final are performance done by students. Attendence is needed, more strict at the beg. of the year. Dont talk while she is talking or use your cell phone. Very nice and easy

This class is so easy, all you do is write 2 play critiques. You have one written test the whole year and hse gives you all the answers on the review. The final is a short script of about two minutes. Nothing serious. Leslie's has a great personality ans is extremelly funny. She makes drama fun.

I honestly hate theater and everything that goes with it, but this class was still pretty good. Teacher is very nice, easy to get along with and the class is an automatic A if you put any effort in at all. Just show up and you will do fine. I would recomend it, made theater an good experiance. Some acting, but minimal and easy gradning.

I would highly recommend this class to anyone!! Just attend class, go see 2 plays (and also either the PDT or ETC) and write your critques about them. You can write literally whatever you want. Leslie is super funny and makes class interesting. Midterm and Final are student written scenes that you perform for the class. SUPER EASY!!!

I had not done any acting in a very long time and was very intimidated by Leslie's amount of expertise as well as the talent of the other students in the class. She was always very inspiring and supportive and I learned so much about myself as well as the craft of acting in this class. If you have the opportunity, take this class!!

Did actually have the pleasure of having her as a professor but I did have her as a director and that was enough. She is a wonderful and kind woman and can give you as much as you are able to take. Take her classes, over and over if you can, I doubt you will regret it.

Not only is Leslie's class extremely easy but it is also very interesting. She makes learning fun. Her style of teaching incorporates personal stories with her lectures. Attendance is definitely mandatory. But other than that, the class is a breeze. I actually enjoyed her class. There won't be a day that you don't leave class happy and smiling.

she loves drama! she sometimes give us a tour in the theatre and the backstage and i thought it was cool! we watch good movies and she likes it when you write a whole paper about the analysis. REALLY EASY MIDTERM! she doesn't care if you're late, just go to class and you'll be okay.

She was pretty good teacher. No Textbooks, Just have to pay for two theater shows that is required to go watch and write a critique about them. Finals is 30 question pretty easy. Take this class.

I absolutely adore Leslie! I joined the class late just to fulfill the GE requirement, but I ended up finding myself extremely interested in the dramatic arts! Easy class, only 1 midterm and a final. She provides a study guide and reviews the tests before you take them. No textbook needed and attendance is required. You also have to watch 2 plays and do a paper on them, but this is really easy. Her lectures were very entertaining, and I would recommend this class if you are taking it for GE.

Professor Martin was such a sassy sweetheart all semester. Her lectures always come with hilarious jokes and commentary. She says attendance is mandatory but I ditched a good amount of days. I still received an A in the class because I studied for the final. Whenever I didn't ditch, I enjoyed the class.

Beginning of the semester she may sound mean but it all results from her past experiences with other students. As long as you respect her, she is really nice about everything. NO BOOKS NEEDED! Leslie Martin makes this class fun and entertaining. Her tests are easy and she is clear about her classes. Half the time you watch plays and movies and then write small things about them. It is a fun and entertaining class, not to mention probably the easiest course I've taken at Fresno State.

She's really funny. We watched like 3 full movies and she also shows a lot of movie clips. You do have to pay attention to the movies though because she asks you about them on the tests. The quizzes are really easy just make sure you pay attention in lectures.

This is a great class. She cares about her classes. Online mid term and online quizzes. Final is very easy. She gives you a study guide and its the same as the final and you can use the staid guide on final.

Really easy class. Not the most interesting class, but you watch alot of clips and movies so it's not unbearable. You don't need the textbook at all because everything you need for quizzes, the midterm, and final can be found on her powerpoint slides. Besides that, all you do is a paper at the end of the semester, also easy.

I really enjoyed this class. Professor Martin helps you come out of your comfort zone in regards to acting. The class is really fun and your only homework is to memorize your lines. You do need to attend because you'll be working with a partner 99% of the time, and both parts need to be there for any roles.

She is an excellent professor. I would take this class again. No homework, Test are simple, 1 essay, and watched movies which were amusing.

One of the most entertaining and interesting classes I have taken. Everybody loves her, she teaches in a lecture hall and every class in nearly full( so get there early if you don't want to climb over people to get a seat). You answer a question on paper at the end of class for participation points, 1 midterm and final, and attend a play for paper

You really have to not try at all to not pass. The A is basically handed to you if you do all the quizzes, the midterm and the final which are very effortlessly easy. Shes hilarious! I loved ever minute of her class.

I started off by my first quiz grade being a D. There is a lot of extra credit opportunities so take it! The quizzes and tests are all covered in the lecture. So take good notes. There is also questions about the movies/clips shown doing lectures so make sure to go to class. She does repeat some previous quiz questions for her midterms and final.

The most easiest class I have ever taken! We watched a handful of movies and the only way she gives you credit is by a notecard you turn in with name and answers to exit questions. Come to class with a laptop and take notes word for word since she doesnt post it on blackboard. Its an easy class to take because all you do is watch movies that can run up to 3 class periods. Shes hilarious but sometimes she gets a bit moody but that all depends on how your class behaves. Must watch 2 plays and submit essays for both.

If you can take any drama teacher take Leslie. She is the funniest professor I have ever had and offers so much extra credit that at the end she'll take your extra extra credit and put those points towards your midterm and quizzes. Overall, easy class. It was lecture heavy, but it got really boring at times, and you need to show up or it will affect your grade. She can sometimes be super emotional and dramatic for no reason at times, but overall, if you're just nice and smile, she will be chill.

She is hilarious! She jokes a lot in her lectures and tells us personal stories to make it more entertaining. You can definitely pass as long as you come to class and pay attention. We watch movies in there, the papers are only one page long. Tests are multiple choice, and she gives you a study guide for the chapters. You'll love her.

She made us write two half pages each of the six homework six quizzes 20 questions each in class a midterm and a final 50 multiple choices each in class. Shows a lot of movies. The course had no knowledge it was useless. The lecture was sometimes boring, but if you can make some friends, you won't be that bored. give a study guide for test.

I took this class for a GE requirement and it was the easiest class ever. We had 2 assignments which took maybe 10-15 mins each and 2 quizzes which she provided answers for. She is super sweet and nice I recommend taking her if you want an easy class that you dot have to worry about. I took her during COVID, did't make class mandatory to attend.

Leslie Martin was a great professor during this pandemic! We got little to no assignments, but the ones we did get were fun to do. You have two quizzes, in which she provides the study guides. Not to mention, she is so understanding if you have a situation! Take her if you need to complete your GE classes!

Professor Martin is amazing!!! Shes really understandable when it comes to her students and it shows she wants the best for them! Her stories are always amazing in lectures she seems like a very interesting person. Not too much homework is given its usually just discussions but not a lot of homework in this class at all! Her class was so interesting and overall easy! There isn't much homework except for group discussions and a few easy activities. There are two tests that are 50 questions multiple choice. Super easy tests because she gives you a study guide that has everything on it. Her class mostly consists of watching short YouTube videos of musicals. 10/10 clas

She is very nice and easy to communicate with. She responds in a very quick manner. Her lectures are a bit lengthy but very detailed. Attendance isn't mandatory. Make sure you turn all assignments in on time because she doesn't give second chances. If you need this for your general ed, please take Professor Martin to ensure you will pass.

One of the easiest GE classes you will take. Grade is based off 5 short writing assignments + the midterm. No quizzes, the midterm was open book. Follow the directions for the writing assignments and you'll get 100%. Attendance not mandatory. Late work not accepted! I didn't attend the Zooms and got a 100% in the class.

Professor Martin was literally one of the easiest professor I have ever took. You don't have to join the zoom meetings as long as you're doing our work you'll pass, easy A! Only had like 5 assignments throughout the semester which included midterm, 2 small essay papers, final, and like 2 quizzes. Highly recommend!

Very strict with attendance in my class. If you didn't attend 3 class meetings then your grade will drop. Very easy class, but very lecture heavy. If your class doesn't participate she will be call out the whole class for not participating. Words of advice; make sure to eat before this class or you'll want to sleep during her lectures.

If you want to fulfill your Area C and take an art class this is the class you want to take. Midterm/Final are online and super easy. You only really need to show up like once a week for this class just for the attendance sheet at the end. I usually just walked in 20 minutes before class ended to do that. Super chill.

There are 5 writing assignments and a couple of quizzes. the midterm and final are open notes. The study guides she gives us are exactly what is going to be on the exams.

Great professor. She's very passionate about her work and her lectures are very interesting. There are very few assignments (quizzes) and they're very simple if you simply attend lecture. Highly recommend the class if you're looking into taking it.

She's amazeballs ! The times I attended lectures there was always a movie shown so it was a relaxing class. She is super nice and is passionate for her work. There are a few tests but are fairly easy if you attend class and she sometimes sends out the study guide. The final exam was super fun, we picked 20 songs that meant something to us and why.

Drama 62 with Leslie might be one of, if not the easiest GE class available at Fresno State. She makes lectures easy to understand, plays three movies throughout the semester, and not a whole lot of work, with the only work being a writing assignment, several quizzes, and a test, all are super easy! Would recommend taking Leslie!

Whether you like theatre or not, this is an amazing class. But Leslie was so sweet and funny and caring. She was going through so much personal things and still showed up for her students. She just wanted us to have fun while learning about something she's passionate about. Would take again over n over just to be in her class.

She is a really amazing human being. You can tell she has a big heart. Even though she was going through something incredibly difficult my semester she would always try to make time for her students. Her presentation slides sometimes seemed unprepared. Her way of teaching is really easy to learn from.

She is one of the sweetest professors you can have, she is very understanding and cares deeply about her students. This class was extremely easy. However during my time with her, she was having her home issues so she was very lenient with us and allowed us to submit late work. She offers extra credit and all her exams are take-home open notes.

This class was an escape from my other classes to relax and learn new things about theater. We watched some movies and musicals in class. We had 5 online quizzes throughout the semester, a 1000-word paper, and a final. We also had a make-up/extra credit quiz. Attendance is mandatory. I recommend taking this class it is an easy A class.

Can definitely tell Leslie is a very sweet person. Talks trash sort of but who wouldn't after having crap students in the past. Just be a good student. Attendance taken by flashcards. Quizzes and exams and finals. Do-able class. I liked learning about how theater/film is done. Phenomenal class. In design project in the end, 1,000 words required

Professor Leslie is simply the best. The class is super easy, with just quizzes, a paper, and a test. Attendance is mandatory, but it's worth it to learn about theater in a fun, engaging way. The lectures are great, and Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for quiz prep!
