Leslie was a great professor for MAPB11! It's a hard subject with a lot of material to cover but she's so helpful and caring if you come to her with any problems you can't solve. She also makes class funny. Expect lots of homework and quizzes every weekend though!

Leslie Is a clear and concise professor. Since she is a young professor she is able to read the looks given to her during lectures when a student does not understand the material. Previously took Calc1 in High School and did not understand certain things. Leslie helped fill ALL those gaps. Definitely go to her during her office hours as well.

Leslie explains concepts clearly and shows us the why instead of just the how. This solidified concepts for me because it allowed me to understand it. She is very helpful in office hours. She is a VERY strict grader so be careful on your tests. She is also picky on handwriting. Despite the "downsides," I would take her again.

Leslie will give you exactly as much effort back as you are willing to put in. Made calc 1 way more clear than it was in high school and made calc 2 very understandable. Leslie really cares about her students doing well and if you are there and willing to put in the effort she will make sure you understand it. Definitely ask questions

Leslie is a very kind professor and very approachable. Power to Succeed turned out to be extra credit. Exams are not too difficult if you study. Concepts are usually reinforced in activity sessions. This class does give a lot of unnecessary homework, but a whole week is given to work on it (manage your time). All important dates are in syllabus.

Professor Rodriguez makes math easy to understand. The class itself is not difficult at all and you'll learn to enjoy the one day labs. The tests are very similar to the study guides and you earn points from homework and attendance.

I had Leslie during our sudden transition from face-to-face to online classes and I couldnt ask for a better professor to go through this shift with. Leslie has such transperancy with her students and tells us exactly what to expect. She will really take the time to go through the questions you may have and make sure you understand the material.

The best math professor I've ever heard, she's really chill and focuses on making sure you understand what you're doing rather than just memorizing formulas. She does the most she can to make sure her students succeed. You will have to attend SA once a week since it's 10% of your grade, but honestly it's a free 10% and it helps reinforce the topics

I wish Leslie was teaching Calc 3. She is the best math instructor I have ever had, and was super accommodating for online school. This class was a lot of work, but SA and reviews sessions before exams helped out a lot. SA is mandatory, so make sure you don't miss any. It's pretty easy to reach Leslie for questions, so don't hesitate.

This is not a class you can just get by. If your math skills aren't that good, you're going to have to do the lecture and homework questions over and over again for practice. Make sure to do all assignments and spread out the workload.

She's a great professor and really cares about you doing well. She only has 3 exams that are very straight forward and similar to the Quizzes (3 of those as well). She has mandatory tutoring each week but it is very helpful and she does it to ensure your success in the course. Overall probably the best math teacher I've had.

She is a good professor but the class layout is not the best. she makes you watch these prerecorded videos a week and that is basically your lesson. the videos help in the beginning but as the material gets more difficult its harder to maintain good grades since its hard to understand. Coming into my first semester at CSULB as a liberal arts major, I was really nervous for MATH104. However, I was blown out of the water by Leslie. She's young but intellectual, and she makes students very comfortable. My Activity instructor was not doing his job, and Leslie made sure to hold him accountable for not teaching us. She really cares.

For this class, there is the normal lecture and an activity u need to join. I never paid attention in lecture, only activity and I got an A. Super easy class. The notes are so detailed and easy to follow that she made calc 3 feel like basic addition at times. You are honestly missing out if you skip the chance to take a class with her.

READ THE SYLLABUS! her class isn't hard but there are a lot of homework assignments. she is super thorough when it comes to grading her assignments. there are weekly quizzes and lecture videos on canvas, and you have weekly math homework as well. there are also 3 projects that you have to do throughout the semester. her exams are online though!

The math taught is very helpful, and easy to understand. She provides a lot of extra credit, the grading is based off attendance, weekly homework, quizzes and videos, along with 3 projects and 4 test. Attending tutoring helps a lot! So use resources available, and always look at the master calendar.

Leslie is hands down one of the best Calculus Professors I have taken at CSULB. She was very straight forward and made the class enjoyable. Yeah, the assignments were average, like any math class, but the tricks she taught me was excellent. I so much enjoyed this class. I learned a ton. I really hope she is teaching Calc III. The exams are not ridiculously hard, but they are not spoon-fed either. Calc 3 is a difficult course and I don't think she could've possibly made it any easier. Don't expect a free grade.

However, her homework was hard compared to the practice problems on the lecture. Her homework is graded by "all or nothing", so if you get at least one problem wrong, you get a 0 which I think is unfair.

Leslie is amazing, she was so supportive. The class was easy, you don't really need prior knowledge of calc and if you do she will provide you will the information. Lectures were clear and lots of opportunities to ask questions and understand why things occur. Very algebra based but she helps you understand how to solve them and understand why.

Her handbook is really special, it has the syllabus and the course schedule if you need to look it, and it also has all lectures and homework inside of it. She's really sweet and loves her students, she's also really great at teaching and explains the math concepts in this course well. You have 1-2 assignments due a week which is easy to finish.

This is my 2nd time taking Calc II, and due to issues in my personal life I'm not sure if I would even have a chance at passing with a different professor. She is willing to work with me to get me to where I need to be understanding wise, and she is very helpful in office hours and engaging in lecture!

This class is hard. SA is mandatory, but helpful, at times. Her problem types are really specific, when studying only study notes and activities. If she didn't make the problems, they're a waste of your time. Always available during office hours. She's really cool and makes an effort to make class more engaging when material can get boring.
