Obviously loves what she is doing, makes the lectures very interesting with her personal input and corny jokes. Hope to take her again in an upper course.

she is a great teacher and really lets you know what you need to do for the tests.

I took her class in the summer, she cut down the course in half, and at the end she ups your grade somehow. I got a B on the midterm and had to do worse on the final, and my final grade was an A-. She's interesting, and you will learn.

TRICKY tests. Nice person, but makes the tests HARDER than they need to be. i.e. she has answers that are all all correct or slightly correct OR "A&B" "ALL OF THE ABOVE" "NONE OF THE ABOVE"

Don't you dare insult this professor. She is one of the few that tells us the reality of psychology. She was great and I like her jokes. She prepares you for exams. She is as good as Derosse. Whoever does not like her has a serious problem.

I took three classes taught by Professor Stevens, she is the most inspiring, interesting and knowledgeable professor I have ever had. She is passionate about psychology, especially psychoanalysis. It was the most delightful learning experience!

I love her! She is one of the only clinical psych professors at Queens and it's so refreshing from the usual neuropsych drones. Take anything she's teaching. She's brilliant, incredibly knowledgable and cute!

this class is interesting and fun. stevens tests are really easy since she gives u a review and some of the questions on her tests are repeats or they are worded in a different way but has the same answer. i recommend her bc even though this was a 300 level class she made it easy and she wasnt very strict about it. shes funny and sarcastic.

Class was a blast. It was intensive, 3 hrs a session, but time flew and we were let out early. Lectures were tangential but still relevant and kept students engaged. Tests were straightforward and kept to the material we covered. Highly recommended!

Prof. Stevens is the most hilarious, energetic, & in your face professor you'll ever have at QC! She's not only incredibly well-versed and knowledgeable in her field, but she also provides you with a wealth of info about Grad schools and careers in Psych. Made a 3-hour Summer class fly by! Simply the best!

Probably the best teacher at QC. She is easy, caring, funny, smart, impactive, and definitely a hot tamale! She will even throw a curve if needed, and will occasionally let class out early. You will hear the best stories from her. You will learn so much from Stevens that you can't ever forget. Time flies w/ her. She is the ideal teacher in my book.

It would behoove the Psych Dept to retain teachers like her. She is knowledgeable, makes a topic interesting,and will always give you input in this field if you want to be a clinician. Her classes are long,she talks fast,everyone is never dull and you learn and retain alot

Yet another amazing experience w/ Prof. Stevens! If you forget everything else at QC, you'll NEVER forget "What does it meeeeeeeeeeeaan". Do yourself a favor...run (don't walk) & register for any one of her classes.

Well I agree with most of people on what they said about the teacher but my experience was somewhat different. This teacher in general was good and enjoyable but when it comes to exam don't ask me how she makes the exam key that you end up getting lower than what you expecting even if you knew evrything on exam and as a result I end up getting B+

Believe me if you looking out for an A then look out for some other teacher where A might be scoreable with surety

Great, Great, Great teacher!!! no papers, no annoying presentations, she keeps you awake and breaks down the material vividly. Use your notes and text book as a cross reference for her tests and you'll do great...she too good...not to mentions she looks just as good.

Extremely amazing professor. Understands the students, relays the information clearly and with examples that really stick with you. Straight foward tests which she basically gives you during review. No papers, or heavy reading at all.

She made the whole semester fly by. Not only does she make it interesting, but you will hear her stories that relate to the material being taught. I wish all of the teachers were more like Stevens. I would definately recommend her.

she is very knowledgeable about the material. i learned a lot in this class. the textbook was really interesting and u get to question who u really are. the exams were easy and i would recommend her. i had her for a sexual behavior class and i also received an A. she curves if the class does bad and throws out questions if a lot gets it wrong

She is absolutely the best professor. She creates an environment in which you learn without realizing it. Her exams are completely fair and is everything she says it will be. I would take any class she is teaching; she has so much to offer.

Take her for every class you can! Easy A. Extremely interesting and knowledgeable. Tests are so straighforward I barely studied and got an A-. Gave us 10 extra points on exams. She is one of the best Psych professors at Queens College.

Her class is not that easy--you have to attend class& work for your grade but her method of teaching is so great that you don't even realize youre in a class. But if you do attend class, she teaches very well & you'll do great. from all the psyc professors i've taken so far she is the best b/c of her great character and way of teaching.

I love this professor. She is the BEST psychology professor. She makes the lectures so much fun. I love the way she teaches. The test are pretty easy and she tells you what's going to be on the test which is mostly from notes. I would definetly recommend this professor. She's great.

Best Psych Prof in the dept.She makes learning fun that you don't miss her class.Book she picks is easy read and a keeper.QC would do themselves proud to keep her on full time and model instructors after her methods.You retain her classes yrs later.Only problem with her is that its hard to get into her classes for evening and wkends.

GREAT PROFESSOR! TOOK HER THIS SUMMER FOR PSYCH OF CRIMINAL MIND, ACTUALLY WANTED TO ATTEND CLASS BECAUSE HER LECTURES ARE SO INTERESTING! GOT AN 80 FIRST TEST, DID WELL ON THE EASY PRESENTATION AND SHE SAID THAT IF WE COME TO CLASS ON THE LAST DAY WE ALL GET 100S FOR OUR FINAL EXAM- GOT AN A!!! SHE IS AWESOME!

Amazing teacher, i took her over the winter. our class had 3 tests. the first 2 were 100 questions each, and the last was 46. the tests were not cumulative. her classes are interested, i didn't buy the textbook but still used one to read from when i was confused. she tells you everything thats going to be on the test. her lectures are interesting.

She is really awesome and fair. Leslie is really good and treats her students like adults. She makes psychoanalytic theories so easy to understand. I recommend her 100 percent. Oh she just became a Dr. GOOD FOR HER!!!

Wow! I love this lady, she is awesome, understanding, very bright, cool, makes the class interesting unlike a lot of other professor's. I absolutely love this professor.

This is hands down the best Psych teacher I have EVER had. She is extremely charismati, and relates the lesson to actual patients (yes she is an actual practicing psychologist!) I could honestly listen to her lecture all day. And she dresses trendy - SO WHAT grow up people, and focus on what she's trying to teach you. She is extremely knowledgeable

She is funny and in your face type of professor. Personally, I found this course enriching. I learned a lot and I thought she communicated the information clearly. The only thing I did not like was that we had to wait almost 1 month for our grade but understandable considering she is a practicing clinican and is busy. Overall, great professor!

i toke this class cuz i needed a sci credit and after failing geology i thought this would be better..and i was correct..this prof really makes pysch intersting and fun...easy...and just teaches great overall

Stevens is an amazing teacher. She's fun, energetic, and has a passion for her subject. She's extremely down to earth and so understands the mind of a college student. She actually has a practice so she's quite knowledgeable. She is very helpful and lenient with deadlines. if you read your notes tests and pay attention. you simply need to be awake

She is a nice professor, but you should really adjust to her teaching style to do well in class. Tests are not so easy as she says it will be.

She is a nice person. You do have to study for her test, there not easy- but not terribly hard. She seems a little stand off-ish at first, but she is just a nice lady who is a little overwhelmed with her practice and home life. You have to attend class to do good in the class, and take good notes.

she knows her stuff, but IF YOU WANT TO BE A PSYCH MAJOR, OR HAVE INTENTIONS OF DOING SOMETHING WITHIN THE PSYCH FIELD, AVOID HER CLASSES! doesn't cover half of the important material needed for higher level classes. if you're just taking the one class then she's fine. a bit irresponsible (missed classes, forgot about an exam) but easy to understan

This professor should be cloned! See is very expressive and her obvious passion for the subject she teaches and practices is evident. YES, folks you have to do your work- hand in assignments ON TIME, and come to class for lecture. You dont get penalized for not attending, you're adults now, so don't whine when you fail a test- ATTEND LECTURE!

I don't really understand all the jibbajabba of the students that rated her previously. Yes she talks about her life & seems like a VERY busy person but she is knowledgeable on the subject. I have taken her twice during winter courses. Her exams are easy if you study and go to class!She knows her stuff. The class is very interesting. Recommend!

For morning classes, she can often be late. She is very knowledgeable and clear on instruction. She gave 4 exams and one mini paper. If you do the work, and study outside you will pass her class easily! She doesn't count attendance, and is easy to reach.

As a professor, she DOES know her stuff and is very smart. Her personal life stories mostly relate to the class. She gives straight-up lectures, not much room for discussion. Basically no HW, 1 short assignment, 4 exams that you do need to study for. Just pay attn. in class and you'll be fine. Fun class imo. BUT NOT recc. for serious psych majors!

SHES AMAZINGGGGG the professor that made me choose PSYCH as a major. shes clear, breaks down subjects and teaches us how they correspond in real life. and since she is a practicing psychologist, she tells us a lot about her experiences in the field.

ok so honestly whoever gave her bad ratings is crazy .. she gives u 4 exams & 1 assignment & her lectures are interesting, test is usually on not all the material she covered in lecture.. she is considerate to students who r takin other courses & understands the workload of hers & other courses . she is the best . i took her for 101 & now im takin

PROFESSOR STEVENS IS ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS I EVER HAD! SHE IS VERY CLEAR ABOUT WHAT SHE IS TEACHING AND SHE KNOWS HER STUFF REALLY WELL. SHE MAKES THE CLASS INTERESTING AND YOU ACTUALLY LEARN. Amazing!!!! knows her info inside out. Is very enthusiastic in teaching, and brings the class to life. I love the fact that she uses her patients as examples, and very realistic. She also provides some healthy life lessons in there too. Im telling you, it cant get any better. Will continue taking her.
