This professor cares a lot for the students. He makes the class interesting ande truly entertaining. However, you have to read the chapters before coming to class since he enjoys asking questions (not too make fun of us but to make sure that we know the material). I am starting to like his class a lot.

Of all professors that I have this semester, I think he is the best. He makes things look so simple. He loves teaching the material and gets very excited when we answer to his questions. He goes to every table to help students. I will be very disappointed if I do not have an "A" in his class.

This professor jokes a lot. but he is not a joke. He teaches a lot. There is a method to his madness. He likes when we ask him questions. I am learning so much in his class while I had no interest for biology as I am a social sciences major. He is so patient and does not mind to repeat the information for us. He is such a nice man. TAKE HIM!

He has too much fun teaching. Very passionate. Makes the class look interesting. He is on a "nerdy" side.Unfortunately, they put too much exercises in one lab. Therefore,not enough time for a full lecture. Time passes very quick with him. However, he is open for students when they ask questions. His quizzes are essays but very easy.

I very recently had him for micro. He knows too much if there is such a thing. He is always more than ready to help.Most of us enjoyed being in his class.Out of all my classes this semester, I have learned more in his and had much fun in the processs. Don't remember if I have met a Prof like him before.Take him as his classes fill very quickly.

I had him for the lecture only.I truly regret that I didn't take the lab as well with him. I had great fun learning in his lecture. Students report that his lab is much more fun!He knows everybody by name and makes sure that you learn the materials. I had another teacher for lab and didn't learn anything.BTW, his low point is no override.

Well. He didn't disappoint me. Did my homework and found out about him. He likes it when you participate in class and lab. He spends time working with each student. When he said "talk to me", you better have a ?or explain something to him.THE BEST.

Has a french accent but not that bad. Give notes in class to prepare you for quizzes. Very practical and clinical. Wants you to read like any other lab professor. Not a class to be lazy. In the end, got an A. Lab people give questions for practical exam, not him. Very helpful if you show that you were prepared and interested.

How can his test be hard when we know in advance what to study? I learn more in his lab than from my lecture professor. Of course, he tells us everyday to be prepared as we should when we will be in the hospital. What is so wrong about that?

GPA BOOSTER!!!!Take his class you wont regret it. All your quiz were on the lab manual from previous lab. NO HOMEWORK/MIDTERM just quizzes every class practical not hard at the end.Attendance is mandatory in order to take quiz next class but so worth to attend cause hes so down to earth and funny. I took this profess in the summer. The gody day of class I learned things that I had not known when I took micro lab two times before. I honestly learned alot. He really knows his stuff.this guy needs to open his own school!! He has no problem helping students. He is literally the BEST! he keeps you intrested in learning and coming to class

This professor is an amazing professor do your homework read before coming to lab, and study for quizzes. Play close attention to what he writes on the board very helpful, he does not believe in pop quizzes and will always tell you what you need to expect for a quiz or exam.

Hi is the Best.Easy A. Professor Philippe cares about grades and will help you to pass this class. Make a picture of all experiments and slides it will help you to study for final and midterm.Final is easier than midterm. Memorize all enzyme and name of pH (not numbers) indicators for tests. I enjoyed his class and learned a lot.

At first he makes the class seem like it's going to be hard, but he helps you out a lot. He has a strong French accent, but he explains everything to you. You have to study for his quizzes and tests because they are fill in the blanks without a word bank. If you put in the time you will pass. He doesn't want to see anyone fail. I received an A.

He's tough on you, puts pressure on you, but it's worth it in the end. READ THE LAB MANUAL...a lot of questions on the assessments are directly from there. Don't feel bad if you mess up on the 1st few labs, been there, got an A. He's sort of tough (for good reasontries to help out as much as he can) and won't give you the A unless you deserve it

My favorite professor thus far. His teaching method isn't like the normal. He uses the material and apply to real life. He's hilarious and tells a lot of stories about his experiences to make things more interesting. He has a lot of passion for his job so it makes the class more interesting. I would RECOMMEND him.

He's a great professor& I would love to take him again. His accent is a little strong, but if you don't understand what he is saying, TELL HIM, & he'll write it on the board and try to help you. He's a really good teacher. He has a strong accent but he doesn't mind if you ask him to repeat what he said. Have to really pay attention in class to pass his quizzes that he gives every other week. Also if you ask him for help he is there for you and will help you pass the class. A really good teacher I would recommend him.

Dr. Philippe is a great teacher. He brings his MD experience into the classroom, making things very interesting and easy to remember. He has tons of energy and is very funny. He's got a temper but smiles easily, too. An A student will read the material, but if you take great notes you can do well without. Would take again!

This man is truly a genius! An Air Force Veteran who then got his medical degree. The way he explains things, it just stuck for me. He does have a thick accent so you have to pay close attention. He offers extra credit. If you take notes, read ahead, and hit the Science Lab, there is no way you can fail.

Honestly, please stick with him! Professor Philippe is crazy smart and hilarious. In the beginning he came off as strict and a tough grader but he's really not. He's sweet and wants to work with you. He won't fail you unless you ask for it. Not easy but you'll be happy at the end. You will learn a lot. Ask questions, he loves it!

Professor Philippe was absolutely one of the best professors I have had the chance to meet! He really cares about his students and although microbiology is a pretty tough course, he makes it enjoyable with his good sense of humor. I recommend this professor 100%! You'll love him.

Amazing Professor! Don't get intimidated by his bark he doesn't bite but you will work hard for your grade. He is always available to help his students. He loves to challenge your understanding but that's just his way of knowing if you understand the material. By the end of the semester, you will thank him.

Great professor. He really wants you to learn. He drops the lowest test score, and curves his grades. 30hrs in the ASC 3% added to your final grade. Don't interrupt him while he's speaking though, he gets pretty annoyed when that happens and will then stop talking about what he was trying to explain.

Great professor! I have taken him for Anatomy I and now for Micro. He taught me so much. He likes students to be prepared, so read before class. He dropped the lowest exam score in micro and offered 3% added to your grade if you had 30+ hours at ASC. Not an "easy" class, but if you study you will get an A.

Dr. Lesly is awesome!! He is a true EDUCATOR. He teaches and don't simply read the powerPoint presentation to his class. I love his style of teaching. In my class, some students didn't like the fact that he wants us to think. His downfall is that he cares too much. Some students took advantage of that. Take his class if you want to learn.

Writing this before grades post. He is indeed intimidating but he's helpful if you approach him with a concern. He is no dummy, remember that! He may have a tantrum but keep quiet it shall pass lol and don't talk while he is talking. We had a love/hate relationship at first but now its all LOVE. Professor Lesley, is very intimidating but long as you don't take it personal you will fine. Micro is not an easy class, but he makes sure EVERYONE PASS . I failed every test and still manage to get a B in the class as my final grade. TAKE HIM!!!!

He is a straightforward person. He teaches with his heart. He gives good advices. He is fun and tough at the same time. The class is intense, because there are so much to cover. Take him, do exactly what he want you to do. You will be fine. I did not regret taking him so do you.

EVERYBODY LISTEN UP! Do all that you can to have this professor. I was lost, and confused but HE DOES NOT FAIL PEOPLE! I failed every test and passed. I promise you the only way you fail this class is if you try. I'm not saying that he'll give you an easy A but you will pass (C or higher). He may seem intimidating at first but he is truly amazing.

WHEN I TELL YOU THIS IS THE BEST PROFESSOR HANDS DOWN! I love everything about his teaching ethics! I took Dr. Jean philippe lesley for lecture Im about to take him again in fall for lab. Best professor I ever had very knowledgeable . His lecture is Clear you can ask him as many questions you want. Participation counts just do your work, study and be ready to answer questions during class. I will definitely recommend him. Best professor ever!!!

Professor Lesly Is a great professor he loves his job and he wants his students to understand the material and succeed. He is very caring I would definitely take him again.

I took this class and lab with Prof. Philippe during Spring term. He loves to teach and gets so into whatever he teaching. He is awesome and can be a little crazy at times but I loved it. There is a lot of homework on connect, but in the end it is to benefit you with your midterm and final exam. Make sure to ask questions and answer questions.

I took professor Phillipe for both lecture and lab and found him to be very knowledgable. He correlates anatomy 1 and 2 into his lab to bring things together and into perspective for students. He is Huge on participation, he will call on you to see if you are paying attention which is reasonable. I would take this class again, but be prepared.

I took MCB2010/MCB2010L with Dr. Phillipe online via Zoom meetings. He really cares about teaching the material and making sure that his students have a deep understanding of Microbiology. As any other core science class, do not expect to skip the readings and pass the class. Make sure you read before every class and come to class with questions.

Professor is a great person. He cares about his students and is funny. He gives alot of homework and test are hard. I took him fully online during summer so course load was alot but I passed and he curves tremendously.

Best educator I've ever had in my life!!!! I'm going to nursing school soon and wish I could have professor Jean Phillipe teach all of my classes. I'm really going to miss him. He makes concepts easy to understand by using real life examples and he is very kind. You can also tell that he really cares about his students and wants us all to succeed.

Microbiology was a particularly difficult course for me, but Dr. Jean Phillipe really knows this material. He will answer any of your questions and, if you're honestly inquisitive, he will help you learn. Reading is critical, as if that needed to be said. Knows his stuff!

Microbiology was challenging as expected, but not because of the professor. The professor made things easier to understand and gave the class plenty of opportunities to improve our grades. He is very understanding if you have personal problems and will do what he can to help you.

I had a great time taking Anatomy 1 with him. He made the material easy to understand and made us laugh. You can tell he loves teaching.

I personally loved my experience with the professor. He was tough at times but explained why and honestly taught me more about real life facts that I should know if considering nursing. He explained not only the text but gave real life examples that have come in handy in real life medical scenarios. If you wanna learn take him- you won't regret it.

Professor Lesly is dedicated and when he teaches he makes it relatable to everyday life for you to understand. He's keen on you asking questions so he knows what you know and don't know. This will help you understand and will never forget. I would take him for all science classes if I could. Yes, he has an accent but that is on individual. 10/10
