Letitia is a great teacher who really gives the impression that she cares about her class. Even though I had a 3 hour class with her, early in the morning, I didn't mind coming because it usually wasn't all that boring.. I'd definately reccomend her class

I really enjoyed Letitia's class. I learned a lot, and really enjoyed the discussions. I made sure I went to class just for the entertainment value. The work wasn't super easy, but she is willing to work with a student if they have needs and problems.

Take her online class! It's easy and Letitia still works with you via e mails.

She's a decent English teacher and nice.

I had her online class and only met her once. She was really helpful and very thorough. She gave great feedback on my writing. I especially enjoyed her poetry unit---it brought it to life for me and I've never been a poety lover.

Very nice and always willing to help you out. She makes you work for your grade but she makes it very clear what she's looking for.

Very clear guidelines, helpful, and grades fairly. I worked hard, but learned a lot--isn't that what school is for? Whiners!

Letitia is a really good teacher. She made helpful coments for each of my papers and returned them quickly. I enjoyed her class, and will recomend it to all of my friends.

He online class was super easy. This is the kind of class to take if you would rather just finish it as painlessy as possible.

I took her for two semesters. I felt she was more laid back in the first. She was pregnant during the second and that may have been why it seemed more intense the second semester. By far a great teacher though. I'd love to take another class from her.

Letitia is demanding but fair. She's ready to do anything to help. If you want to learn something take this class

Online class is awesome. Discussion posts on various readings due weekly, but very easy (got full credit on all). Multiple-choice quizzes easy and graded immediately since they're online. 5 papers kind of a pain but I got A's on all (longest was 6-8 pages on Frankenstein). Don't know what she's like as a lecturer, but highly recommend online class!

wonderful teacher, explains assignments clearly. gives great techniques for the essay writing process. warm and approachable. very helpful!

Amazing amazing teacher. One of the best Literature classes I've ever taken. Enthralled with what she is teaching and her passion is conveyed in her lectures. Hard but in a good way. Lots of reading!

Tish is the best! She is so helpful on writing essay topics and has conferences with you instead of class to go over and revise you essays. Only 4 all semester, she is great and very helpful. She will take papers late. I RECOMMEND TISH!!!

Letitia is a great teacher. I took her for English 2 and 1B (online). She is down to earth, and her essay topics are up to date, minus the Frankenstein essay. English 2 was cool because I got to learn a lot about California, while learning English. Easiness wise she grades pretty tough, but she is always down to help you improve your grade.

She is amazing. So, so smart and insightful, and very interesting. She doesn't take attendance, but it helps A LOT to go to class. Papers are hard but very fairly graded. Take her class.

Leticia quickly became my favorite professor. She is a fabulous teacher and loves to have extended discussions with her students on various material from the class. I took 46a with her and couldn't resist signing up for her 46b class. I HIGHLY recommend her classes for anyone who loves English.

Letitia is amazing! 46A/B are VERY challenging classes, so don't take them if you're a slacker. She's helpful in anything you need and has a passion for her craft! Anyone complaining about her grades is probably just lazy and didn't do the work. You can turn in work until the last day of school, so it's pretty much impossible to get a bad grade.

Tish is the best teacher at Cabrillo. You will learn so much about literature, and she explains things VERY well. If you care about literature at all, this is the class to take. The papers are difficult but extremely rewarding, and there's a lot of reading, but the material is a delight. She is very fair and accomadating. Take this class!

Tish is a personable, highly motivated and engaging teacher. I loved her class discussions, as everyones contributions were welcomed. There is a high amount of reading,but she is always willing to help, and I learned a lot from her class. HIGHLY reccomended.

I took the online class and it was super easy. I got an A on every assignment and I really didn't have to try that hard. Wrote a paper an hour before it was due and she said it was "a pleasure to read" and I got an A. Maybe I'm a fantastic writer though?!

Her choices for all required reading were well rounded. Anyone who would have hated the class would have known within the first week.

She has high expectations, but she is willing to do alot to help you reach these expectations.

I enjoyed her class. While it is no easy it is not difficult either. She is upfront and organized as to whag you have to do.you have to put in the work but it's not hard. 3 essays and she helps you along the way, comments on how to improve. There is no final and presentations are easy. Easy to succeed in this class but again you have to put your part.

She was definitely my favorite teacher at Cabrillo. She is very kind, helpful and flexible with your topics. Her classes are always interesting and she makes the effort to know each student well. As long as you try hard and do your best she'll be your best friend and advocate. Best English class I ever took.

LOVE LOVE LOVE her! She is a brilliant teacher. She is very thorough when analyzing texts in discussion and is very funny. Take this class.

She is a great teacher! She knows a lot about the topics and is very enthusiastic. It is crucial to not fall behind on the reading, otherwise you will be lost. She does not have due dates for the homework assignments, besides the 2 major papers. I will be taking another class with her because she is really great. Recommend mostly for English majors

I absolutely love her! She's super funny and really nice. As long as you do your work you'll be fine. =] I highly recommend her!! I am probably going to take her again in the future.

I took the online class and thought it was very well organized. The assignments were clear and understandable. Letitia also was very responsive to emails, answering questions right away. I enjoyed this class very much. Being that I do not aspire to be a writer, I took the class becuase I had to, so my enjoyment level should speak volumes!

Awesome instructor. Very understanding & helpful if you fall behind. Gives lots of time to try and catch up (if you can). She has us do work in sections, so it gives you plenty of time to work on assignments (if your a procrastinator like me, this could be harmful to your grade). However, I would most definitely recommend her to everyone!

I was very hesitant when I first met this professor because she came off very opinionated, but as time went on I really enjoyed her as a teacher. Honors 2H was a pretty hard class, and I felt like a lot was expected of me but she is understanding and very helpful. She replied to all of my emials right away and she does what she can to provide help!

Letitia is very nice and engaged, she grades and responds to emails quickly. Interesting reading material and thought provoking prompts and essays. I got a lot of out of this class and had fun doing the work, especially reading and replying to the discussion posts. We read short stories, poetry, and ended with Frankenstein. Thanks Letitia!

she is a very good teacher. its a fairly easy class all you have to do is the 4 out of class essays' and the in class midterm and final. she prepares her students for English 1a very well. She is easy to talk to and a bit of a tough grader. great person.

I had to drop this class because I was so far behind! In the beginning of the semester, you're given 3 weeks to read a novel, and 5 weeks to write an essay. I'm not a fast reader, the book was uninteresting, and I'm horrible at writing essays!

It was not an easy class but felt like I became better at writing papers because of it. I really had to work hard to get an A but it was worth it and actually found some of there reading material interesting even though i don't enjoying reading very much.

Letitia is a great professor. She cares a lot about both the subject matter and the students. She was amazing at teaching how historical literature is still relevant to understanding the human condition. There's a lot of reading so make sure your schedule allows for that. She's very reasonable with assignmentspapers.

Letitia is awesome. I'm an engineering major so English is not my top interest but she picked subjects that were really interesting and easy to engage in. She also respects religious beliefs which I have not seen in an English teacher in a long time. She expects a lot, but after her class, you will be a better writer and a more critical thinker.

She is the kind of educator that wants to grow you as a student. She will challenge you, she challenged me, This class has had a tremendously huge and positive affect and I will take this class with me through out my life. Very grateful for her and her husband. Both are amazing educators.

A lot of textbook and discussion board use, not really any lecture. Obviously a lot of reading and writing. Feedback was adequate. I spent an average of 5 hours a week on this class.

Professor Scott-Curtis is phenomenal. She really cares about all her students, and provides any support you need. Brit Lit I is full of extraordinary literature, and she makes it so relatable to present day. There is a short study question due each week, as well as a take home midterm, in class final exam, and a research paper. Take her!!

This class is very heavy. You have to do a lot of work. If you don't consistently do the reading it is easy to fall behind. Tish is aware of this and doesn't try to add to the load. Tish is an amazing teacher and really cares about her students whether they have family issues or are sick. I have taken her for 3 classes now. She is one of the best.

Difficult courses, but wonderful teacher. Lots of homework, reading, and lengthy research papers. She will help you out, but you have to put in effort! Keep up with your reading and do assignments on time, this is not a course to procrastinate. Loved the content, Letitia is amazing and caring, but you should allot the majority of your time to class

Love her so much! Quite a bit of homework and it took a bit of work but she is an easy grader if effort is apparent. She is so kind and really does care about you. She's absolutely hilarious and lenient about late work. Do your work the best you can and you will do great. She's a gem. Amazing class

Extremely terrific teacher. I loved going to english this semester. 3 papers that are not too difficult and she gives two practice mid terms before the actual mid term. She is willing to help you if you struggle with writing. She helped me come up with a topic for my essay in her office hours. Great teacher as long as your serious about doing work.

The workload is reasonable. Some of the readings are boring, but most are short. She's always there to help you especially if you need help with a paper. Super organized and she's constantly sending reminders about what's due. Weekly discussion posts. It's a very manageable online class. Work is typically due on Saturdays at midnight.

Letitia's online class was well organized. Descriptions of all assignments were provided on the syllabus. Class consisted of mostly reading reading, posting on discussion board, quizzes, and essays. You allowed to turn in essays up to 2 weeks past the deadline but you won' t receive feedback on it. The final was just an essay on Frankenstein.

A LOT of work, but Letitia is so smart, insightful, and cares about her curriculum and students. Letitia goes above and beyond with the time and thought she puts into this course. You'll come out as a better writer and thinker.

Letitia is the school mom; she's a lovely human. Her class is interesting, and you will have to write (obviously), but it is not an exorbitant amount, and they are fairly relaxed assignments aside from two larger papers. If you have taken AP English at all, her class is not bad. Worse part is finding motivation to write (coming from a STEM major)

Letitia is a teacher who sincerely cares about her students. If you're struggling with class or with life she's there to help you work through it. There's a lot of reading and a research paper but the books were pretty good and Letitia is willing to help if you're struggling with an assignment.

Letitia was wonderful and thoughtful, she sends almost daily updates about what to expect in the coming classes and when things are due, youre always given time and notice when things are assigned. Ive never had a teacher who communicated so well with her class. On top of thats shes very understanding and work with student one on one! Love her!

A lot of reading in this class, but semi-flexible deadlines make it manageable. Very understanding of busy schedules, and rarely deducts points for late work. Altogether a super informative class, however, if you absolutely cannot stand reading, I would not recommend this class.

Letitia is so understanding and wants to hear what her students think. The class is very engaging and made me think critically. There was a lot of reading, but it was on a very regular schedule that made the reading responses easy to do. Both of the research papers are not as intimidating as they seem and are very open. I'm really going to miss her

I took the hybrid option for this course, so I only had class one day a week. I thought the pacing of the course was appropriate for what we needed to learn- I was busy but not completely overwhelmed. She is always willing to help students and has a great attitude. She has a genuine love for literature and it shows in her lectures!

English 2B is a ton of fun but it's also a ton of work. Letitia is amazing at facilitating really interesting discussions with the class, and listens to and values her students opinions. She is super kind and funny. That being said, get ready to read/write a LOT! My final paper was upwards of 14 pages. This class is absolutely worth the work!

Letitia was amazing! We read so many worthwhile texts this semester and, more than any other professor I've had, she managed to create an awesome, virtual classroom community. Don't be dissuaded from taking this course due to the online meetings, because they're what makes it really work. She also provides wonderful lecture/research material.

Letitia is truly an amazing and caring teacher! She is very accessible outside of class and understanding. The workload is manageable, but can be a bit large at times. I would really recommend her class, I got a lot out of it!

Letitia really cares about her students and motivates everyone to succeed. She is passionate about the class topic, California Issues, and is clear about assignments and grading criteria. There was a midterm paper, a final paper, smaller weekly writing assignments, and we read two books over the course of the semester. Would definitely recommend!

Letitia is a great instructor! She was always available for questions or further explanation of the material especially because it was an online course. We read really great stories, poems and Frankenstein, so it made it enjoyable. Three major essays were due with clear grading criteria. She sets you up for success!

She's one of (if not the best) of Cabrillo. She's highly committed to her students like no other and shows a great deal of dedication to what she devotes energy to, even when the conditions aren't ideal. Letitia goes above and beyond, exceeding the performance of other Honors professors. Sharing a semester with her is a must.

Letitia was a very charismatic and understanding professor. Although I had to work for my grade through a lot of reading and writing, she helped keep the assignments current and relevant. We had to write a research paper at the end of the semester, so if that scares you then be prepared. Letitia made the class manageable and was very accommodating.

Letitia really wants her students to succeed. She has a clear grading criteria that is easy to follow and provides multiple, helpful resources. She gives great feedback but you will only receive it when assignments are on time. She is flexible with deadlines and only takes 10% off late assignments. Overall a great profesor.

While I have taken one other class with Letitia and really enjoyed it, in 2H I was struck for the first time by what an excellent teacher she was. And I don't say this in a "her class was easier for me/I liked her as a person" kind of way, but rather because of how well she set us up to learn and grow as writers. She also gives great feedback!

I took this class in the summer so it was very fast paced but manageable. She gave great feedback on essay outlines! It really helped me see where I was making mistakes in my writing. The topics are also interesting!

Really good teacher. If you are in the honors program, take this class with her. She is very understanding and does not want you to feel overwhelmed.

This professor was very thoughtful with individual student situations. I had to turn in a few assignments late but she was gracious with giving me that extra time. She gave a very realistic and manageable workload. It was a very enjoyable class and I wouldn't mind taking another class with her as professor.

She can be a bit harsh with her grading; however, she's always willing to speak to you and talk about what could've gone wrong. She's also very understanding of people's personal lives and unforeseen circumstances. I enjoyed her class.

Super easy class with an amazing teacher. She thoroughly understands what students are going through and is willing to make accommodations around different due dates and assignments as she sees fit, and assignments are pretty easy at that. There is one research paper that is very doable and actually fun to do. Would highly recommend Letitia!

Letitia was for sure the best professor I have ever taken a class with at Cabrillo! So understanding and kind, you will never fear going to class if you missed a deadline or something. Super lenient with every due date, I wish I could take a class with her again and I wish every professor had her mindset.
