Though a smart and probably nice guy, he's a horrific teacher. His thick accent is unintelligible, he works too fast, doesn't explain concepts well enough, makes 2-3 huge mistakes a class (causing students to cross out 2 pages of work each time), and was not very willing or able to help students. Unless you already know the material, don't bother.

He makes you understand math. When he starts a new topic, he doesn't just give a theorem to memorize and follows up with examples. Instead he defines and explains new notation and concepts, proving any related theorems. His exams are also based on understanding: the questions are concept-based and don't need much numerical computation.

Very poor teacher. Half the time I could barely understand what he was saying due to his accent. Tests were also MUCH harder than the work done in class. Avoid at all costs!

If you're taking Mr. Shneerson online, you won't learn anything as he is not really best at that. Your grade will consist of only Lumen hw and quizzes which you can easily get help from online so this class is pretty easy. Just don't expect to actually learn Calc.

Professor Shneerson is such a horrible calculus teacher, his lectures are very unorganized and you will learn barely anything from him. Most students never come to class because of this and 90% of the class self-learns by watching YouTube videos. Beware his class is extremely test-heavy and doing homework does not do much to your grade.

He obviously puts a lot of effort in his lessons and knows his math. But the man can't teach. The thread of his is lessons confused and convoluted. In the few classes I took before I dropped I had to teach myself entirely. It was by far more useful to check in on zoom, mute the call and watch some khan academy videos.

He cant teach. He makes it hard to ask questions sometimes and sometimes he will answer your question in a way you understand. If you dont understand something, its very hit and miss with him answering in a way youll understand. I had to go to a lot of tutoring because of him. He is a nice and smart man but he cant teach.

The math proof workshop is surprisingly easy for me, so I might be a bit biased. However, I truly believe that Prof. Shneerson loves mathematics and cares about his students. Admittedly, he is probably old school and the zoom classes are far less than ideal. Yet, he provided office hours and was trying his best to encourage participation.

The course was considered hybrid, the class was online & the exams were in person. His exams (usually) have 12-18 questions, primarily all are short answer where work needs to be shown. More work you show the more you are able to get partial credit. Lessons were at times convoluted, but it was clear he knew the material well; ask questions!

This professor clearly doesn't know how to teach. He doesn't enunciate his words well, making it incredibly hard to listen. Not to mention, when he uses his microphone, he breathes into it, making it even more difficult to hear. His writing is just as horrible to read. I'm not the first to notice this, as my fellow peers would also agree on this.

He's a sweet person and is very knowledgable. In a two hour lecture it is easy to get lost but as long as you review, watch some youtube video's you should be fine. He gives review sheets, tells you what topics will be covered on the exam and even gives a formula sheet. Tests are fairly straightforward, you truly just need to study.

He seems nice but the lectures don't teach you anything unless you have prior knowledge of calculus. If you have a basic grasp of calculus already you'll probably be okay, he'll enrich your knowledge. But for first-time calc students, you'll need to learn it entirely on your own. Don't sit in the back. I had trouble reading his handwriting.

Professor Shneerson is great, very receptive to criticism and genuinely wished to know whether or not I thought the class was structured well. He has an accent and speaks softly, so if you're not front to mid row, you may struggle with hearing him, but it wasn't that bad. The class is very test heavy, but he teaches well and gives study sheets.

As a person, he is really nice. But as a professor, I wouldn't recommend taking his class. He does give exam review sheets, but exams make up 90% of ur grade (2 exams and a final). He has an accent which isn't super bad, but he speaks very low so its almost impossible to follow along the entire time. His lectures are very dense and also confusing

Prof Shneerson is a very nice man. However, is very hard to understand, lectures are mandatory but pretty much useless when it comes to understanding the material. You're better off staying home and teaching yourself from the textbook. Offers extra credit and grading is somewhat lenient, like i said very nice but not a good professor.

I never bothered to pay attention to lectures since they were complicated and slow, so I learned from doing the HW. You can just show up to fill out the attendance sheet and leave. HWs were fine but they were on WebAssign which SUCKS. Exams weren't bad at all, he gives partial and extra credit. Class overall is fine, prof is kind but boring.
