Really easy, funny, and good teacher. If you just follow the sylopsis and do your work then you'll make a good grade in his class. Informal assignments are SO easy!

He is one of the best professors on campus. A nice, friendly person who's always willing to help. He helped me a lot with my personal statement, and I still think that's why I got in UCI. If you like to watch NHL, go make friend with him ^^

Mr. Long is one of the best teacher ever!! he really helps you a lot if you go to his office hours or come to him in the writing lab and he also gives extra credit!! I got an A in both!! i really enjoyed the class!

He is the BEST TEACHER.My mom is a teacher if that tells you something.He makes you write your but off,but I thoroughly enjoyed it.Im writing 3Xs better.His openness to help & the enjoyment of his job shines out the best.He is close to his doctorates at UCI.He should be at a UC/private University.

I never took Long is writing by I have gotten alot of help from him in the writing lab! He is a very good teacher and has help me often! I wish I would have had the time to have him as a teacher but his class times never did work with my schedule! So, take his class if it works with your schedule!

NOT SO EASY! You have to write 6 informal essays, 1 formal essay, and a final exam. I got an A because I'm smart, but if you're not so smart, then work harder and you will do well! Lewis is so knowledgeable! He makes you read literature like you've never read it before..it's amazing what you'll learn! Take Lit1 with him and you will love it.

I love this man! In all seriousness, Lewis is definitely one of my top five favourite professors ever. He was very interesting, very informative, very fair and, most importantly, VERY caring and understanding of his students. Great in class discussions. Just an awesome guy. Take any and all Lit classes with him, if you can.

I hate his class. He reads everything slowly on handouts to the class, takes too much time to do stupid things, and he goes over material after its due. He never explains anything until after ughhhhhhhhh. I have straight a's and now probably not. Hes hard and annoying...But he is nice I will admit that

He is a nice man and loves his subject. He does not teach you anything unless you love advertising. Papers we gave to him in October are still not graded. No feedback what so ever that is helpful since you get everything late. Don't take unless you want to write 14 or 15 papers.

Lewis' Long's class might as well have been a sociology class too. He centers his class around advertising, & you spend a lot of time articulating your own social critique of advertising and our consumer society. Although a great class, it is A LOT of work, and if you really want an A, you will take writing lab too. You can't B.S Long, so be ready

this class really is not as difficult as people make it out to be. frankly, if you hate writing, you shouldn't really venture this far into it. Lewis's class is AMAZING. he makes you think very critically, and always look a little harder than you thought you could. excellent professor, extremely helpful, and VERY knowledgable

Lewis' class was very interesting. Apart from the strange videos, the extremely long divergence into "consumerism" during the first half, and the unfocused/unorganized aspect of classroom time, I enjoyed the class. He is a hard grader, but if you "nail" your 20-page research paper (worth 50% of your grade), you've got an A... trust me.

he is a really nice guy and he knows alot about Lit. His mid/final were both not too hard if you study and know the author's work. He gives out a final essay and hw essay but they were both ok i think. COnsidering i never took any Lit that was harder than the intro to Lit. But becareful his class requires a lot of reading and he is a bit borning

I had to drop his class because I couldn't handle his boring voice. He talks very quietly. He assigns a lot of reading--I spent 2.5 hours at home reading the text, then came to the class, and ...he started to read THIS SAME TEXT in front of the class again!!!

Doesn't hand back essays till you've already turned in the next essay, so it makes it hard to know if you're doing it right, doesnt let us learn from mistakes. very boring to listen to, hard work, hard topic, boring authors. assigns reading, but never disscusses it or uses it except for quizzing you on it.

i liked prof. Long, yeah he has a demanding class, but he is always there to help you, he gave so many extensions for papers. this is a class where u will definetly learn SOMETHING, its not a boulshit class where you wasted time and put energy into something that didnt benefit you in the long run. Great Professor!!

I thought this class was super crappy. He wanted us to analyze the poems and then if our idea of the author's meaning didn't match his, then we were wrong. Seems like a nice guy, but I hated the class.

sterotypical eng teacher: really loves what he does, really boring. mostly lectures and discuss stories/poems/etc. tip: dont put too much work into the short hw, he talks alot about it in class. emailing hw was a first, i liked it. really knows what he's talking about. not too easy, not too hard. dont take if you dont care, youll sleep.

Mr. Long loves English, but I'm not sure he's the best professor to take at IVC. He's pretty boring, lectures forever and cracks corny jokes. He grades in a biased manner and sometimes takes your analytical papers too personally. I was constantly yawning in this class. If you do decide to take him, DO NOT take it at night!!!

The class is not an easy A. There is a lot of reading required (short stories, poetry, plays, and a novel), but that should be expected in a literature appreciation class. He's helpful and fair. Good teacher, good class, fair grading. Pretty much 1 short paper every week, 1 final exam, and a research paper.

Expects a lot from his students. Unclear about expectations and the prompt as well. Often extends deadlines. Easy to catch if you need help. No need to read assigned readings as long as you read the headlines finding the answers to the quizzes is easy. Lot of writing. Would not recommend if you dont enjoy writing too much.

Nice guy. B careful wen getng rough drafts edited by him, bcuz he will only comment on a few things and make it seem like its good but wen u get final paper back after he grades it, he finds a lot of new mistakes that he didnt catch b4. class is focused on consumerism and he is an excellent prof wen it comes 2 lecturing on this topic.

Prof.Long is a great teacher! even though the way he teaches is very monotone, but he cares about those students who actually put an effort in his class. He is very approachable..come to his office hours regarding your essay..come to his office 2-3 times n u will get an A in ur essay. U will get at least a B if u put an effort in his class

I was insultet by this men, he did not agree with my political opinion, he is rep. i'm a democ.,he told me I'm not able to think logically, regarding my political views, in a writing class each student should be allowed to express his opinion freely, I'm disapointed,I did contact the IVC office to resolve this problem

Great guy. Not the most organized of teachers but that can actually be to your advantage. He tends to push due dates for papers back A LOT so be prepared. He does grade rather hard but if you meet him at his office hours he will gladly go over your paper with you and help you out. Dot this and you'll get a good grade for sure.

Professor Long is a brillant and great teacher. In my opinion he didn't give out too much reading. There were short writing assignments and two papers. No Midterm. He is a huge Charles ****inson fan, so he refers to he's stories alot. But just do the reading and have him read your papers and you will pass.

I had an Honors WR2 course with him, my topic was discreet advertising in the news and the threat it poses on American democracy. I ended up with a B, but it was worth all the work. He took so much time out of his own schedule to work with me. He helped me curb my biggest problems in writing: organization and structure. Great guy, Good looking too!

He is a GREAT professor but if you plan on getting an easy A, he is not the prof. for you. His class is centered around advertising (which kind of gets annoying) but he really pushes you and makes you a better writer. He is always willing to help with papers during office hours (which help a LOT!!) He is really nice and helpful- Take his class!!

Professor Long is a good teacher with high interests in literature. If you're interested in literature, the class will be very informative, if not, then lectures will seem tedious, as are many lectures. Weekly assignments, no midterm. He came in late each day, but went straight to lecturing as soon as he came in. He's a good, knowledgeable teacher.

I didn't even need to take Lit 1 at all but I took the class anyways and I'm so glad I did because it was a fun and interesting class. Prof. Long chose really great stories, poems, & dramas to read, and I like his explanations, the insights & the context he provides. He wants you to do well. He's very clear, and highly recommended. He's awesome!

comes late to class (not a bad thing) but takes attendance and lectures as soon as he arrives. lectures can seem long and boring but he makes them interesting. do ALL the informal assignments and you should get at least a C. he grades pretty conservatively on the test. also, from his name you would think he is asian but hes far from it

He is very nice, seems super passionate about the subject, and cares about students. Somewhat clear on assignments, although due dates changed regularly for informal assignments. One thing I did not like was that he was consistently late and then kept us in class past an hour and 15 minutes.

I'm going to be picky here because this class is my major: his syllabus was RIDICULOUS. he revised it not once, but 3 times! a novel a week isn't a big deal, but add to that poems and biographies and 19thC theory & its very stressful. Also he was unclear about grades & I felt like he didn't really connect with students. I'd give him a low B.

worst teacher ever! He revised his syllabus three times, gave back only one of the eight papers we wrote...so we had no idea what our grade was going into the final. And now he passed the deadline to turn in the grade! Now i have a RD on my transcript.

Prof Long is insightful with a unique perspective. He truly engages with students and is invested in their success. Lit 21 was challenging, but not too difficult. The amount of required reading was what I expected in an English major prep course and the depth of Long's discussion was much more valuable than the inconvenience of a revised syllabus.

Really nice guy. Always willing to help. Just take good notes, study what he says, think critically, and be laid back with the schedule. You'll never cover everything, but you'll cover the things you do thoroughly. Very thoroughly, and enjoyably.

Students BEWARE! If you plan to transfer to a 4 year college or university you will not receive your grade for 3-4 weeks after the semester ends. The instructor says that he needs time to make appropriate comments on each paper. Try telling that to your university registrar!

Long is an awesome professor. His lectures are very articulate and engaging, even humorous at times. It is essential to complete all essays and do well on tests in order to pass. I highly recommend this class with him.

Great professor. Really cares about your writing skills. Always a line during his office hours. Extremely helpful. Does not trick his students. Quizzes are easy. Writing lab for extra credit. Only the two books used for quizzes are necessary for purchase.

Professor Long is one of the best teachers I've had in college. I had him for Writing 2 Honors and Lit 1. He is extremely helpful. You can tell he really cares about his students and his class based on the detailed comments he gives on essays.

Professor Long is very dedicated and wants his students to succeed. True, he returns papers and assignments late, but if you go to his office hours with questions or for feedback, you have a pretty good idea of the grade you'll get for them. He read every single one of my essays multiple times and never complained! I would definitely recommend him.

A great professor whom I would recommend to anyone. The class has an advertising theme, and you will write one research paper (broken up into many short papers) about any topic you want related to ads. There are also open book quizzes (which are really easy) and a few short writing assignments. If you put in the effort, you will get an A like me:)

Take Professor Lewis! He is the best professor I've had the privilege to be a student of. He's easy enough (if you keep up with the reading assignments). Few homework; just a weekly informal assignment. Focus on participating and you'll do well! I'm taking him again next semester for funsies. He's brilliant!

He never hands back essays. It makes it hard to know what grade you are getting until the final grade is posted. He revised syllabus 3 times or more cuz he couldn't make it to class few times because he was sick(which seemed like excuses). 3-4weeks after semester ended, the grade was FINALLY posted. (with an email saying another excuse.)

He's a great guy and really funny. He had a midterm and final and about 8 informal essay assignments and a formal essay at the end. You NEED to read the books and stay caught up, or you're screwed. Don't take if you're not going to read. He's a great teacher though. Just need to read a lot. Fair grader, too. Takes attendance.

You got to read the novels if you want to know anything on the midterm and final exam. Really nice teacher and very understanding. The class mostly consists of lectures and discussions about the novels. It's a good class I read some great novels.

I'm not a big literature buff, but this course wasn't bad. The novels were lengthy classics, but Long clears up all the symbolism and stuff. The discussions in our class were pretty interesting even though I just kinda sat there. Really no need to keep up with the reading because he reads all the important passages in class. Just take lots of notes

Summaries for the readings were not difficult at all. Put forth some effort and you will get credit even if your answers disagree with the popular consensus. He is extremely helpful and encourages you to come to his office hours if you don't understand the readings.

Pro Long is slightly intimidating but he genuinely cares about your ideas. Take a lot of NOTES in class and, use specific lines from the text to support your interpretation in assignments. Pro Long has interesting interpretations of the texts, he is quite funny and, he is a reasonable grader; do your work and don't worry too much about grades.

Professor Long is a caring, intelligent teacher, but he doesn't return any of your papers until the 10th week so it's hard to know where you stand. His notes/feedback on your essays are very detailed though & you should definitely take advantage of his office hours because he'll basically tell you what you need to do to get an A. A lot of workload!

Extremely intelligent man, and in a way that doesn't make you feel inferior for being less intelligent. He encourages questions, and makes you value your own life experience (however much you have). Do the writing assignments and read as much as you can, you'll do fine.

I really enjoyed this class. I looked forward to attending. His lectures are interesting and he has a great sense of humor. He also opens it to discussion which is always fun. He is so nice and very very helpful, AND approachable! I highly recommend professor long, you wont regret it.

Professor Long is a very intelligent teacher and has a lot to say. He explains everything in much detail and is easy to understand. He grades pretty tough though and does not pass back papers until the last couple of weeks of the semester, so it is very difficult to know where you stand in the class.

I wish I could go back and take more classes from Professor Long. I just miss his voice, both literally and physically. He has a great speaking voice and even a greater mind. I love the way he talks about what he is passionate for; books, language, and just everything about life. He is the kind of professor you will remember for a lifetime.

Super sweet guy. Although i barely passed with a C, i still enjoyed his lectures. One of the few teachers I know that demonstrates the joy they have in doing in their job. Takes time to go through the texts and appreciate every, little thing. Always bring your book sot class. Buy the books AHEAD OF TIME. & pay attn in lectures. tests r tricky.

Professor Long is one of my favorite professors at IVC. He's brilliant, funny, and is sooo helpful. My BIGGEST recommendation is to utilize his office hours. Get your essays checked by him before you turn them in- he's super helpful. He's one of the reasons I became an English major. His class is fun and interesting.

Professor Long is by far the best literature professor on IVC campus. He is so helpful, but his office hours kinda suck cause there's always a huge line. However, i was completely and utterly inspired by him; he makes the readings really fun and class was actually exciting to attend. High recommended!

Incredibly thoughtful and insightful professor. Lectures can get a little long but you'll come out realizing you've learned a lot from him. Not just about writing/critical thinking, but about a lot of other different topics as well. Try to start your assignments early, and go to to his office hours as much as possible. He gives great feedback.

Super intellectual prof, knows his material and more. Grades much harsher than he lets on. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. He is there for you and invests as much time and effort into helping you as you'll let him, but make sure you're first since the wait gets long. In class EC activities. Pleasure to get to know as a person.

Professor Long is a great professor. However, get ready to work very hard in this class. The material isn't really difficult because you just need to spend a lot of time doing your projects and the assignments he gives in order to do well in this class. If you do the minimum, you should at least get a B. Better work for that A! Good luck!

I took this over the summer. He's an inspirational teacher and really teaches you how to writes especially the way IVC writing profs want you to. He made writing easy. He's clever and knowledgeable.

I have a lot of respect for this professor & his office hours are always cozy. hes accessible, knowledgeable, and very approachable! the only thing i did not like was that he grades very very slowly and deadlines are frequently pushed back due to this... but overall learned A WHOLE lot. :)

Professor Long turned around my perception of literature, no exaggeration - the first instructor who, for me, made tough Western canon (Heart of Darkness, Jane Eyre) approachable and illuminating. Lectures are peppered with witty banter, little stories, and tie-ins to other works of art. Prof. Long is kind. Respect it. I wish I'd participated more.

Lewis was an amazing professor. Keep in mind though that if you take this class, be prepared to work and do a lot of research for his class. Lewis really does give you a lot of great feedback and he is so knowledgeable about many topics and will do everything that he can do to help you out but YOU have to put in a lot of work to succeed intheclass.

Did what he wanted and still didn't like it doesn't give any papers back until end of the semester so you have NO IDEA HOW YOU'RE DOING UNTIL TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE SEMESTER ENDS basically you write papers all semester,don't find out if terrible or wonderful until last minute,then have to cram fixing a semester's worth of feedback in few days. UGGHH!

His class was all lecture. He didn't assign much work, but what he did assign wasn't returned until much later.. This makes it very hard to gage how well you're doing in the class until you actually get your final grade.

if you didn't like him, you are probably the kind of student who was expecting an easy A, and does not care about acquiring actual knowledge from it. so who cares if he grades a bit late? he takes that much time into carefully reading your work, and giving caring feedback. if you are not down to challenge yourself, just don't take the class.

Long is very knowledgeable, so pay attention, write notes, and work hard. I've seen some people complain that he takes too long to grade, but he's not lazy. He puts a lot of effort into grading papers, so of course it'll take a while. To remedy this, GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS! His feedback on your work, especially essays, is very valuable, so use it!

You'll have to write 4 papers all related to one research subject you'll work on for the whole semester, and at the end use those to create a 25pg final paper. You also have to do 4informal assignments which are 2pg essays, but he doesn't grade ANY of these in time for u to use the feedback for the final paper. Hard bc most of ur grade is the final

He's not just a great professor, but just a genuinely great person! It's a writing class, so be prepared to write. Your grade is pretty much directly correlated to going to office hours. The more you, the better chances you'll have of getting an A. He is always open to read your essays and gives GREAT feedback! You play four games for extra credit.

Although this class required a lot of effort, Lewis always dedicated time to ensure his students success. All of his students utilized his office hours in which he spent hours of time with his students editing our essays and answering our questions. He is an incredible mentor and professor. The only downside is that he takes a while to grade papers

I wasnt crazy about him as a professor (I got an "A", by the way) because he brought WAY too much of his personal opinion to class that really didnt add anything to the learning experience. I did receive the highest compliment in that he said that he learned something new about the book from my essay. Got my love of Hamlet from him/his class.

Lewis is a really caring professor as I can tell that he really wanted me to do well in his class and getting a good grade in his class wasn't hard especially if you go to his office hours, because he gives EXTREMELY good feedback. In his class, I was encouraged to think critically, and I learned how to properly build and refute arguments. take him

Just trust me on this, you want to take this prof. I learned so much from him about stuff outside school The whole semester you work 25 page research paper w/ a topic you choose, but he breaks it up into sections and it's honestly not that bad. Go to his office hours!! if u want immediate feedback, you have to go. Ill say it again, OFFICE HOURS!

He's a tough grader. He says one thing but says another when he is grading. I go to his office hours to do well in assignments. But however, he takes forever to grade all your assignments so you won't have a chance to improve on your assignments.

I've always been a straight A student but he ruined it. If you want a harsh grader that makes you work for it. Ok, I utilized his office hours to get my grade, sometimes goes back on his words when grading. Also, you won't ever get back the assignments he graded in time until the end. So you won't have a chance to fix your mistakes and improve.

Professor Long is one of the best research professors on campus. He has high expectations and is incredibly in-depth in his feedback! If you want an excellent and sweet professor who can make you a much stronger critical thinker, take his WR2H class! He will make you WORK, but you will come out stronger as long as you attend his office hours.

Let me start off by saying if you don't do well on quizzes or don't like reading a lot each week, don't take this teacher. He is a very good teacher and does like questions to be asked in class but he does expect you to sometimes read one hundred pages at night. Just not the teacher for me; also he doesn't offer extra credit.

I've never had so many papers to do in my entire life. This class was SO stressful but it paid off since I improved my writing skills. If you take this class, pay attention to the group work/informal assignments he makes you do because it helps you organize the individual sections of your research paper. Go visit him during OH to get help!!!!!

This was a difficult class. However, I found this class to be well taught. Its a good class, except it's hard to follow lectures sometimes. If you use his office hours, this professor is very helpful for final papers and giving advice.

Lovely writing professor! I hate writing and he makes it enjoyable. He goes on mini tangents in class which are nice to make the class less stressful and he is very accommodating for every student that needs it. If you ask him direct questions he can give direct and helpful feedback. I would definitely take him again if I needed to

Professor Long is an exceptional professor. He not only helped me improve my writing in College Writing 2 Honors, he helped me development my research paper topic and analysis with compassion and encouragement. I took this course with him almost three years ago now and he has been an incredible mentor and resource ever since this course.

Might have just been for the time that I've had him, but he hasn't graded anything on time meaning you can't improve from a rough draft for the final draft, and then he punished your grade because you don't know what's wrong til the last 5 days of the semester. Because of this, the final is insanely difficult compared to what it should be.

Great and very nice/approachable Professor; lots of office hours. He's very down to earth & his lectures are very well prepared/enjoyable. The only qualm I have about him was that he was VERY behind on grading this semester which made it hard for me to fix my essays once they were returned. He might be going through a rough time, but solid choice.

Mr Long is a great prof. hes very caring and passionate about writing. this class was very challenging and my first writing class since taking AP lit/lang. He assigns a lot of papers and does not grade them very quickly so its difficult to fix them with his advice in time. go to his office hours to see how to improve. Its difficult but doable

BEST PROF HERE. Hes a cowboy! If you put in the work its easy. Yes, theres a 20 page paper, but its really the only thing u work on. SO MUCH extra credit. Always availible, if you can't make a time he'll work with u. Go to office hours. Takes a while to grade, but always extends deadlines. Cancelled presentation bc COVID, super understanding & nice

Professor long is very serious about his trade. that being said, he's not nice to his students and is extremely disorganized with his lectures and doesn't give study guides. the readings are extremely heavy. He is unkind and I wouldn't take the class of someone that treats everyone around him like a nuisance. I hated this guy, loved his lectures.

I've taken both WR2H and Lit 21 with him, and I can confidently say this is the smartest man I've ever met. I feel like I get smarter just by being around him through osmosis. His class requires effort, but you learn so much. If you use office hours and show that you are working hard, he recognizes it and will help you succeed. 10/10 recommend!

The best professor I have ever had. He extremely caring and understanding of everyone's situations. He really wants you to learn, rather than just waste time doing meaningless work. I became so knowledgable from this and I cannot emphasize how great this class is. There is a lot of extra credit, and he gives great feedback on papers.

Lewis is a wonderful professor who knows what he's talking about. He understands that sometimes life gets in the way and he'll never give you crap for it. His video lectures are interesting, but I would definitely join the online discussion meetings you get a lot of info about the class firsthand, and the discussions are useful.

A research paper is intimidating, but having professor Long made the process very enjoyable. He's a great professor who knows more about our topic of interests than we personally do. His class was filled with ideas I can relate to outside of class, and his personal help provided a lot of support. Only advice is choose a research topic you like.

Incredibly intelligent and hilarious guy with fun in-class group activities for extra credit. He actually teaches you HOW TO WRITE, how to organize your paper, and how to gather evidence which I feel most writing professors fall short on. Make sure to pick a topic interesting to you because it is a lot of writing and research on that single topic

This class was pretty hard, but Professor Long helped me out so much. The whole class revolves around writing a 25 page research paper, split into four sections. One piece of advice I have is to go to his office hours. I visited him almost every week to make sure I was on track and he really helped me get an A on every paper. 10/10 would recommend.

YOU HAVE TO TAKE HIM! He is hilarious in many ways, the type of professor that gets you excited to come to lectures! His lectures are like jeopardies, games, and the best part it: you get extra credit. He also gives extra credit to the people that come early to his class, so don't be late! Take him if you can!

Take him over summer!! He is SO SMART and genuinely helped me become such a stronger writer. There is extra credit, and although the grading could be a bit difficult, going to his office hours really helps you stay on track with improving your grades on the essays. I highly advise you to go to his office hours if you want to do well.

This class will definitely put you through the ringer, but if you're ready to write a lot, then you're in good hands with him. He takes a very long time to give feedback, but once he does, it's extremely detailed and tells you pretty much everything you need to get a good grade in this class. He's also really funny.

I am currently taking British Literature and I would say anyone who is not an English major will struggle slightly in this class. There are weekly lectures that you can't fall behind on and they range from 1-4 hours not including the reading. I am not a reader and have a hard time focusing. I still have an A+ atm, but it's very lecture-heavy.

Best writing teacher I've ever had. Comfortable learning environment to challenge yourself productively. Lectures are valuable and will help with the essays. There are occasionally fun group games for extra credit so show up to class! He does grade slowly but his notes are EXTREMELY helpful/thorough. Pace yourself + ask for help and it'll be great.

The best teacher I've ever had in my life. He does tons of extra credit games in class and he's so funny (he has ADHD). He is super chill about late assignments, his policy is basically to just get it in before he grades it so there's like a week grace period. He gives great feedback (GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS!!). Don't even think, just take him.

He is tolerant of his own tardiness and late grading, but strict about his students' tardiness and late submissions. He is an irresponsible teacher who never apologizes when he makes a mistake and makes excuses and evades responsibility. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

He is a great professor and clearly loves what his job and wants his students to thrive. Throughout the course, you'll be working on an approx. 20 page paper on the topic of your choice. He works with you to choose a topic that fits this assignment, so you don't regret it halfway. Make sure you use his officer hours. He's a wonderful person.

Professor Long's WR2H class is tough but rewarding. He's hilarious and engaging, with fun group activities for extra credit. The workload is heavy, but his detailed feedback helps you improve as a writer. Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for organizing my research.

Professor Lewis is a great caring man. I took his Honors course as a part of the Honors Program. We had about 5 readings, and a 1-2 page assignment and a 4 question quiz about each. We had two extra credit opportunities for the semester and were quite simple to achieve. Both exams were manageable and he wants you to succeed. Would highly recommend!

Professor Long gives interesting and engaging lectures and offers extra credit opportunities. The grading is made up of reading quizzes, short answer quizzes, and papers (midterm/finals). You will not know your grade for a while because he takes his time to grade, I personally did not mind because I would just reach out to him about my assignments.

Professor Long is the goat. Wants to see you do well and if you go to office hours your essay will be an A. Super smart and really insightful professor. The only thing that I would be wary of is the amount of reading that you have to do. But I took him over the summer so it'll probably be better for a full semester. Take him if you have the chance
