She was a great teacher! There is a lot of busy work (vocab, in-class assignments, experiments, ect) that can HELP or HURT your grade. She is very strict about attendance and it starts to affect your grade. There are also 3 big projects, but if you do them on time, there isn't anything to worry about. She prepares you for the midterm/final.

You have to write all the chapter terms assigned and give examples for each it's not helpful at all. Class is really loud and hard to focus on what's going on.

Class is based a lot on communication. Really good class discussions usually and the videos are pretty inspirational. Class is pretty easy if you just do the work, promise. Usually just terms every week quiz at least once or twice a week. The class is very repetitious which I liked because it helped memorize the terms.

Vocab is a huge part of your grade, if you don't do the vocab you are unlikely to pass. Although, it does help your grade tremendously and gives you a better understanding of the whole class. She is an awesome professor who is always willing to work with you. However, you do have to work for your grades. Not many tests, a lot of in class assignment

She always used great examples to make sure we knew what all the terms meant by the end of the class. I also loved doing the group activities, which allowed us to interact and see whathow the terms played out in real life.

Ms. Almy is an awesome professor. Her class was always the highlight of the day. She's funny, sassy, very verbal, and gets everyone comfortable to open up in class. Lexi Almy is a fantastic Teacher. She is very well educated and helpful.I would take the class again given the chance. The quizzes are fairly easy, if you read the assignment(s) and homework is fairly good and easy too. She is easy to understand and talk to,and very fun . If you take her class, you can come out with a feeling of accomplishment.

She's the best professor I've ever had, I love how personal she is with everyone. She doesn't pick favorites, she treats everyone equally. Also this is the first class in my college career that I've gotten to know almost everyone that is taking the course and that's because of how Almy sets up her discussions. It's never boring, always interesting.

Professor Almy is a great professor when it comes to Social Problems. Even though we were online, she still kept me engaged and interested in the class. The topics are heavy but she takes precautions when it comes to how every student feels. She does not mind if you do not join the class and she is very helpful as well as mindful of others.

I took this class virtually over zoom and it was my easiest class by far. She doesn't focus on grades and focuses more on the class being able to have an open conversation. There are a few assignments that will take some time, but honestly, if you're taking a 2000 course it shouldn't be difficult. As well as there was no true final.
