She was a VERY new teacher and seemed to struggle talking to a large lecture hall at the beginning of the semester. Overall if you read the book and get a good TA you'll be fine.

Professor Lamont is a very good teacher. She speaks clearly and explains every concept very thoroughly. She teaches more like a high school teacher than a college professor. Chem 103 is one of the hardest classes I have taken so here at UW. It is a weed-out class and you have to put in a lot of effort. Dr. Lamont's tests are very difficult but fair. Make sure you understand the labs because she does tend to put a long lab question on the exam worth A LOT of points. She is super nice and will always explain something!
