America and knows alot about Anthro.3 assignments where you just define words and answer a short answer question. 4 Exams, super easy! include short answer, matching, etc. But she'll give you pts even you're wrong. Me and my brother took this class. She is a great teacher. Funny. She is intimidating, but don't let that fool you because you will love her and learn a lot. You do need to read (lite reading) and know your stuff because she will ask questions and put you on the spot. She likes interacting with students in her lecture.

I was pretty scared of her at first but if you do what you're supposed to there is no reason for her to mess with you. I would take the class again. I learned a lot.

Professor Padilla-Wilson is a magnificent instructor! She is straight-forward, passionate about what she teaches, and is extremely helpful. Her tests are challenging- but that's why there is the study guide she PROVIDES you with. There are no surprises on the test. Her class is a real eye opener for those who have not taken an anthropology class.

Also, she teaches Anthro 007, and the class studies subjects such as human trafficking and I regret not taking that course. She's one of my favorites!

This class is "Nice and Easy".

She gives concept sheets out for almost every Chapter that we cover. Before every Quiz she tells us every question that will be on it and the Final is NOT accumulative!! She only has about 3 short papers and 4 quizes, including the final. So the points possible in her class arent so high, so study the quizes and youll be fine!

Although I took her class, she did not teach it as she was on leave. So, this review is for her sub, who taught directly from Padilla-Willsons directions. The class was super easy, just READ the text and ethnography. Do all the assignments, no homework, and participate in class!

I wasn't too excited about the class at first but she made everything super easy! all we had to do was read and take notes for hw and she told us wat to take the notes on. for the chapter tests she gives the exact questions that are one the test so there is now way you can't pass the class!

Fantastic instructor. Gives out concept sheets so you don't have to read the entire chapter. She gives you the questions to the test, as long as you study you will get an A. Four 3 page response assignments w/definitions and offers extra credit on the test and extra credit assignments. 3 unit test and a final. Be ready to be called on!

The class requires a lot of reading. At least 1 chapter between classes. Your grade is from 3 critiques (4 page essays)and test scores only, but she gives you every question the session before the exam. As long as you do the reading and study the questions it is an easy A. She is very passionate about Anthropology and it rubs off on you.

Prof. Padilla is one of the coolest profesors I have ever had. Her class may seem difficult at first, but she gives you all the test questions before the test which makes passing them verry easy. Don't be scared though, she creates such an open environment that it seems impossible to be uncomfortable to share, even during controversial and tough topics.

This class is relatively easy besides the 3 papers. She WANTS every student to pass and is very clear with what she expects from her students. Everything that is on the quiz is reviewed in class and her study/concept sheets are very helpful. I would take her other classes as well. Very good teacher.

I liked her class, and I kinda lucked out because she didn't make my class read the book she usually assigns. She also gives you concept sheets that have terms on them. She goes over all the terms during lecture but would like to have them done before class. Overall it was boring but easy. Just make sure you show up, listen, and fill out the sheet.

Best teacher at LMC hands down. When I first took her, I had no interest in going to school, she literally changed my life and made me love education. She is so passionate about her career in anthro & in education. She will do whatever it takes to ensure that you succeed. Do yourself a favor and take her. There is no way you can fail her exams.

Took this class for honors and it wasn't my favorite class but it kept me entertained. Because I was in Honors, I had to write a 20 page paper which I did decent on. Tests were multiple choice and super easy. Didn't feel like I learned a lot about anthropology though; felt more like I was learning how to write essays again.

I took Mrs. Wilson during my first semester of college and she was awesome. Her lectures were great and she is very knowledgeable about her subject as she has worked in the field of anthropology for years. As for the difficulty of the class, just show up and you'll easily pass. She gives all the questions for each test and you dont have to read.

Padilla's class is solely lecture based. Go to class and you'll pass if you take good notes. Participation matters, and you should really get to know the people sitting around you. She can be a little bit rude from time to time. Also, do not buy the textbook. As long as you take good notes, you will not need it at all.

Shes a great teacher. Her class is easy to pass just make sure to study before the tests and do the 3 assignments she assigns throughout the semester. If you need to take anthropology do it with her you wont regret it.

Absolute gem of a teacher. She is very specific about what she wants. Her tests are fairly easy and none of the homework is very difficult. Most nights took me 30 minutes tops. She does assign 3 essays, but they're not that hard. Her lectures are fantastic and engaging. It's impossible to be board. You will have to participate, but not too much.

Professor P is a really good teacher. Her lectures are literally whats on the test. If you study for like 1 hour after she tells you whats on the test, then your good. Essays are pretty hard. You learn a lot too.

Prof. P is amazing. She gives you a packet with all the terms you will learn then goes over them during lectures. She tells you all 50 questions before the exam. There are 3 papers during the semester that are a little difficult. She offers extra credit. She also shows interesting documentaries. You will not regret taking Professor P.

She's great! She wants you to pass. You get a study guide, she goes over it in class, then she tells you which questions are on the test. There are 3 papers and 4 tests for grades. That's it. You don't technically use the book, but it's good to have, and the questions/topics for the papers are in it, too. I would take her class again.

Attendance is mandatory, dont suggest being late either! Prof gives great lectures and makes sure we understood before moving on. Reviews study guides before every test, 3 papers write, easy A.

Really nice and funny teacher!! Very few assignments so it is critical you do well on them but the day before the test she GIVES YOU the questions WORD FOR WORD so you know EXACTLY what is going to be asked on the test; basically its handed to you. Once COVID happened she stopped doing that and just told us to use our books on the test hahaha

Lectures are amazing! Towards the end we got put in lockdown for Covid but she uploads lecture to YT so we can watch when its best for us! Open book Tests too!!

Professor Padilla-Wilson explains the material very well in her lectures. They are easy to follow along and everything she goes over is on the concept sheets that are really good ways to help study for test. Her class was super easy. She gave us a light amount of work and concept sheets for each chapter of the book that we had to read. To make it even easier she also posted youtube videos going over every concept sheet which you can follow along and fill out. She made her exams really easy and was bases off of what was on the concept sheets.

Her tests and assignments are based on the book so you 100% need to get it however her concept sheets (basically a study guide) that you fill out while you read are AMAZING because everything on the test is on those. Professor P was a great teacher. The rubrics for the papers clearly state what should be on. Follow the rubric and you'll be set. The tests were a piece of cake as long as you read the chapters. I would definitely recommend taking this class as you'll be able to pass as long as you read and follow the rubrics that are provided.

Professor Padilla-Wilson is an awesome professor. I would definitely take her Introduction to archaeology class again. It was an online class that I thought was going to be harder but if you read the chapters, watch the videos, do the concept sheets that she assigned for homework, and you can easily pass. Its a very insightful class to take. Professor P makes the lectures fun with her YouTube videos on some chapters. The rest of the chapters you read in the textbook on your own. At the end of each module you have to write a discussion board or a critical thinking paper.

I was worried about taking an online course but I was eager to learn with Professor Padilla-Wilson She presented interesting lectures & made her availability flexible. She truly made my semester one of the best Ive ever had. As a a senior, I have had my fair share of professors and the good ones stand out. She has caring disposition & the best!

Professor Padilla was amazing! She made the class so interesting and made you excited to learn about new topics in Anthropology. She paced the class well with reading and assignments. Overall a wonderful class.

Professor Padilla was so much fun! She had very clear lectures and organized class materials, and I was able to turn in every assignment with ease thanks to her clear instructions and excellent feedback. She always graded her assignments in a timely manner and if there's an issue with scheduling, she always leaves an announcement for the class.

Amazing teacher. Gave out few assignments, but all were easy to ace if you follow the directions and read the chapters. Class was very interesting and made much better with the teacher's video lectures. Assignments were easy to understand and made sense to what was taught. Textbook was interesting as well. Friendly professor with quick responses.

Professor Padilla-Wilson gave great feedback on papers. She has only 2 papers and the discussion boards were not difficult but related to our readings. She met with me outside office hours and zoomed according to my schedule.

For this class, you'll basically are going to read a chapter every week and use the concept sheets she gives to help you take notes. Also, she prepares short lectures on Youtube which was helpful to me because of the way she broke concepts down. There were a total of 4 multiple-choice exams, 4 writing assignments, and 1 extra credit opportunity.

Amazing professor! Her assignments are criminally easy but there aren't many assignments. She is extremely lenient when grading and if you don't get full credit she'll explain why in her feedback. She also provides extra credit assignments in case you screw up somehow. Tests are open notes & open book. Take her classes whenever you can!!!

I took it this summer. The course involved critical thinking and a fast pace. The reading was substantial. Completing the provided concept sheet is crucial to getting an A+ on quizzes. For discussions, timely submission and meeting requirements ensure an easy A+. Overall, staying punctual and following the concept sheet makes acing the class easy.

The class was extremely easy, and I would 100% recommend it as a summer class. The only things that count as points are 4 canvas discussions and 4 tests. Tests are open note and you get 2 hours to do 50 questions (multiple choice). You get concept sheets with vocabulary words that she explains in her lectures, which are 10-15 minutes.

i LOVE professor P. as long as you do the assignments and follow the rubric you will get an A+! i swear some of these bad reviews are crazy as she makes it clear she will NOT bump grades and that all assignments are explained in detail in the rubric. she is the best professor at LMC and if you can take a class with her DO IT!!

My favorite college teacher ever! She convinced me that I was good enough to do whatever I put my mind to! Now in a PhD program when I thought I would be a community college drop out. She is so nice and if you are struggling and need help she will always be there for extra help!

I really enjoyed this professor! She provided two extra credit opportunities, which was great if you missed an assignment, you had options to make up. While she has a strict late policy, she keeps discussion boards open for over a week. The workload was manageable, and I never felt overwhelmed. I will take another one of her course!

Her tests are pretty easy, they are all open note, she does grade the papers pretty hard so definitely do the extra credit. There is a textbook and she expects you to read a lot but I found a book online so that should not be a problem for anyone to not take!
