Best professor ever. It's not the easiest class but she makes it fun so you will actually want to attend class and do the work. You get to rewrite every essay (except research paper) after her evaluation, which makes it almost impossible not to get an A on essays. She is also very helpful and nice (and young) ;)

Ms. Manukyan is one the smartest teachers I have had the pleasure of meeting. She makes class very fun, the assignments are not difficult she makes it real easy to understand the material. I would recommend everyone to take her class. She is the best:))))))))))))))))))))))))))

This is by far the best English teacher I have ever had. Not only is she super cute and friendly but she is more than fair, and very easy if you just go to class you will pass with an A. Our whole class loved her and we were all super close so I HIGHLY recommend her to take, she is amazing.

In one word, amazing. She is very caring very passionate and her class is very interesting. We actually dicussed current issues and broke everything down before every essay so it was easy. She will go out of her way to get you there. All of her essays have revisions. Her choice in liturature is exqusite .... Take her... You will not regret it

Critical thinking and arguing is my forte so it was easy. You have one week to write each paper, then a week to revise after getting it back. The revision policy makes it easy to get an A. She is a critical thinker and changed her mind about a current event after reading one of my papers. But she's still very friendly and outgoing. Wonderful.

She's wonderful, she loves her subject, she's very helpful. Do your part: go to class, participate, write a decent paper and you will have no problems. She uses videos/movie clips/PowerPoint to keep the class interesting. You read and analyze "Pride & Prejudice", people! It doesn't get any better than that. Highly recommend.

I strongly recommend you to take Professor Manukyan's class. Easy class if you put in some effort and you get to rewrite every essay for a better grade. Attend class, participate in class, do the essays rewrites, read the books and articles she occasionally assigns, and don't slack off and you will get an A and you will get better at writing

Cool teacher. Interesting topics. Kind of a lot of writing. She seems to follow some set of specific things to write and talk about so there wasnt much room for random ideas topics writing etc

Need to buy couples books, but you don't read every page, around 2 novels, 1 literature book, total 3-4 essay. you can rewrite the essay for better grade, has extra credit every week, put effort into essays and attend class. easy A. *not a amazing writer with help of extra credit and rewriting essay got A

She is a nice person with a great personality. She teaches well, and allows you to revise your work with the changes she wants you to make. Do the work and you cant go wrong. Recommended.

If you sit down, listen, participate & actually read what she asks you'll be fine by the time the research paper comes around you can even email her a rough draft of your paper and she'll give you feedback before you hand in a final copy and on essays she lets you redo them for 5% higher from your original grade she's going to make you work though

The greatest teacher I have ever taken! She is very compassionate and caring when it comes to her students. Whatever questions you have, she is always there to assist and guide you. Yes, you have to work for your A and that's how it should be, isn't it?

An amazing teacher, who takes the time to explain the lesson thoroughly and most importantly makes the class very interesting that you don't realize how time flies. Participate in class, bring up questions to discuss, and simply be ready to the day's lesson; it is soo easy to do. Ms. Manukyan is the best, she is very caring.

HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS I'VE EVER HAD!!!!!! She is more then helpfully with anything you need. I would get C& D in my high school English classes and because of her I started to receive A's and improved drastically! She is the type of teacher that you actually makes class enjoyable! She is very nice and helpful. Her class is not easy, but you will benefit from it. If you keep up with the assignments, attend the class, and do the work, you will earn the high grades. All these people complaining want an easy A. This is college, you have to work for it. And she is one the best in her department. I recommend her.

Ms. M is without a doubt my favorite professor that I have ever taken at GCC. I took her for both 101 and 104 and she encouraged me to embrace my love for English and make it my major! Her lectures are fun and easy to listen to. Be prepared for lots of in-class essays, but she allows for revisions and provides excellent feedback.

Prof. Manukyan is my favorite prof on campus. I've taken 2 of her courses and am taking her again in the fall. She makes her class very fun and enjoyable. In her 101 class our big group project was to analyze any rap or hiphop song of our choosing. She is amazing. I highly recommend her.

One of the best english classes I have taken so far. I decided to take a class at GCC due to it being unavailable at CSUN. She makes her lessons easy to follow and gives you plenty f time to finish the class readings. There weren't many quizzes and the final was super easy. The only "hard" part of the class were the essays since some were in-class.

Ms. Manukyan is one of the funnest teachers i have ever taken, you definitely learn the subject well due to her passion and she gives students multiple extra credit opportunities. When I noticed her low grade on this website i was honestly amazed.. i got an A with minimal effort

I took her for a summer course everything was fast paced but it was easy to keep up. She really makes the class enjoyable. There was a quiz every other day and around 3 essays and the final was super easy. I don't what it's like for a fall/spring class but I still recommend it.

I've taken Ms. Manukyan for Eng. 101,102,104 and im absolutely bummed that i dont have the chance to take her again. She is so passionate and her class is what solidified my choice in being an English major. Love her assignments, lectures and reading. Always looked forward to coming to class. TAKE HER!!!!!

Prof. Manukyan relates really well with her students because she's on the younger side. Her lectures can be entertaining. Quizzes from assigned readings. 3 essays and 1 research paper. She gives good feedback on them.

Professor Manukyan is absolutely one of the best English teachers in GCC. I don't understand why her ratings are so low? She is a very generous grader and offers revisions during a short semester. If you revise your paper by following the feedback she gives, she'll bump up one full grade. Very fun and easy class would take her again 100000000%.

Such an amazing professor her style of teaching is great. The way she structures her lectures just makes the material easy to understand. The topics she chooses for the papers are great shes so worth taking.

Amazing professor! She is one of the sweetest professors I've ever had. She allows revisions for all the essays except the final. You have a group presentation as well. She usually adds 5-8% after the revision. Usually she doesn't give many quizzes, but when she does, she notifies you of them. The classes are very fun, and engaging too. TAKE HER!!!

She is a good professor. The class consisted of one in class essay, 1 essay outside of class, a final research paper, quizzes, and a test. The quizzes are all based on Pride and Prejudice. They're very easy. Shes a tough grader on essays. The class was overall very easy. I was on my laptop most of the time and got an A. Take the class

She was probably my favorite teacher throughout my life. She makes class fun and enjoyable. We had quizzes almost every class time but they were easy ones. She lets you resubmit essays and gives really good feedback.

Miss Manukyan is the best. I highly recommend taking her online 102 class. I took her during winter 2020, and it was a great experience . She gives very detailed feedback on the essays and discussions. The class consisted of 3 essays and a final exam which was a multiple-choice. She is very approachable and kind.

It was my first year at GCC, and as I sat down with the professor I had enrolled with, I quickly noticed she was not the professor for me. So I went next door to and met my favorite professor at GCC Lianna Manukayan. She gave me the add code for her 101 class and fell in love with her style of teaching, and ended up taking 102 with her as well.

Prof. Manukyan is an amazing teacher. Do the work and you'll guarantee pass the class. Gives lots of extra credit, clear criteria and organized teacher. 2 papers, midterm, and final. Gives amazing feedback on your papers and gives you a chance to revise your essay for a new grade. Take her, you will not regret it!

Professor Lianna is a caring and well organized grader. Reading and watching her lectures will help you understand her quizzes. She does not discourage you if you did something wrong and helps you revise for a better grade. professor Lianna helps you pass her class.

Shes a good teacher and explains everything you need for the discussion posts and everything. She is a little nitpicky with the essays though. She does give you the chance to revise them for a better grade but it just gets annoying when she comments on every single thing in my essays. I am good at english so it's weird for me to be getting low B's.

Not an easy A but definitely worth taking her class. I wish I would have taken her for English 101. For the first time, I'm scared to see my grade and regardless of that, I would have taken her class over and over again.

I took her class and I'm very happy with the results. Meaningful assignments, recorded helpful video lectures. It'll help you clearly understand the assignment. Lots of extra-credit opportunities. If you respect her, her class and don't plagiarise, you'll be respected as well. She is organized. Reason she grades late is she teaches many classes.

She is so nice. She knows what she assigns, her lectures help a lot and I was enjoying studying her class and doing the assignments. The only thing that I regret not doing is that I didn't take her 101 class. I wish I took the 101 with her too. A lot of extra credit work and you will get the points.

Professor Manukyan is the sweetest soul. She is a fair grader, gives extra credit opportunities, and is the kindest human being. She is beyond her rating and she should be 6/5 if that was an option. I took her for 101 and 104. Highly recommend.

By far one of my favorite Professors. Every week you know what is required because its the same amount. As long as you put the effort and do the work she gives you a fair grade. Ive had other friends take her as well and have similar opinion, she is also understanding and answers quickly to emails.

She is such a caring and understanding prof frfr. There were 2 major essays which were worth 40% of the final grade and some quizzes/discussions on Pride and Prejudice. Literally stop going through the reviews and take her class rn cuz you'll feel very lucky to have her as your prof, trust me.

Now this is a teacher who makes you want to learn. I 100% recommend taking her; she gives many opportunities to her students to get a better grade. She gives great feedback, and does not stack up much homework.

This professor is truly the best English teacher that I had! I had her for Summer for English 101, and her work was easy and manageable, but since it is more of a fast paced class you need to put in the work. She is truly a caring teacher and really wants you to succeed. As for English 104 it is the same it is manageable, just do your work.

Prof Manukyan is such a sweet and caring person. The class was not very challenging, just make sure to watch all the recorded videos on Pride and Prejudice and you'll be good for the final. If you do well on the assignments (and in general), she gives lots of extra credit.
