Professor Lianna was very helpful and I learned so much taking her class :)

Professor Lianna is such a respectful professor. She runs her class with the help of her students; there is no main authority because she believes that we can all help each other to learn and improve. She gives such great feedback,If you don't get an A in this class then it mainly is your fault. It is very easy going and i suggest you take her 100%

Lianna was honestly the best prof I have had at Valencia! While the NSE course is demanding and tedious, she made the class very enjoyable. My favorite thing about her was that she always provided really nice feedback on assignments and encourages you along the way. No one else has made me feel so accomplished after finishing their course.

Professor McGowan is a greatest professor, she makes things fun and educational. She understands her students and wants you to succeed. She is not strict at all but trust me you will not want to miss any class because you will love it. If you have the option to choose her DO IT, you won't regret it.

If you have the chance to take this professor, take her! She is the best, her classes are interesting and she is always accessible outside of class. She knows your time is valuable. For my first semester in College, Professor McGowan helped me out immensely. She truly cares about her students and always has her door open for any questions in general. If you want a good professor, she is the way to go.

Upon hearing about this course, I thought it would be a "freshman's guide" to college; I was incredibly wrong. This course shows you your capacities, strengths, and how they apply to a career that best suits you. It's a guide to figure out what you want to do when you're unsure. Prof. McGowan is definitely a sweetheart and will be there for you.

Professor McGowan is truly one of the best professors I've ever taken. You won't need to put too much effort to pass (even for the final) although attendance is pretty important. She's very inspirational and extremely supportive as she encourages students to visit her for anything. Overall, an amazing professor that I would recommend to anyone.

You wont want to miss class because Prof McGowan is so great. You dont really do group assignments, it's more like discuss this topic together for a few minutes and then share your ideas with the class. There is one assignment due per week on Sunday at 11:59pm and they're super easy. She is very caring and wants you to pass!! Best prof ever!!!!!

I was unsure about my major and discouraged about college before I took her class. She not only helped me get organized in what classes I need to take and prioritizing my time, but she inspired me to actually care about school and my career. Plus she's hilarious.

I have taken SLS-1122 and Professor McGowan is awesome. She really cares and if you just do the assignments its easy to keep an A in the class. Not complicated and it helps with where you want to be in the future. I love this course. I give it a 5 star rating. She really cares and is understanding and she will work with you. Professor McGowan was one of the most insightful and truly helpful professors I have had so far. Her goal is to make sure her students get through her class (and life) successfully. She creates a bigger picture on who you are and figuring out what you want to do in life; her entire energy is super uplifting. P.S. Utilize her office hours!

She cares for her students and will take the time to help them with stuff as best as she can within her allotted time, her class has a lot of group activities and she practices the Socratic method in her lectures, she tends to build a healthy relationship with her students and does a good job at making even socially inept people feel at ease.

Honestly this class helps you a lot. The teacher is amazing she is a great advisor if you need her at any point you can contact her and right away you will have a response. She makes the class go by fast. However since you start the class you have an assignment due on Sunday.

This professor is honestly the best person out ther to become a teacher. She's so kind and welcoming. She doesn't take late work at all so don't even try, but if you do not understand something she will clarify. She is a great professor, lots of interaction with the classmates, homework every week and the final is a video or presentation. Just make sure you do everything and get 100% on the class. She gives some extra credit and the majority of the assignments are paragraphs of 300 words but is not hard trust me, mostly is your opinion and about your life.

I wasn't much looking forward to taking this class. However, even with some assignments that had picky grading, I enjoyed her style. She posts weekly videos going over the material and assignments that are due, and is regularly available for help. Great feedback, wants you to succeed. You get out of this class just as much as you put into it.

SLS is an easy class and this professor makes it even easier. She is really nice and helpful and responds to email quickly if you are unsure about something. She really cares for her students and it shows. She post weekly videos explaining the course work for the week. Easy A.. I wish all professors cared for her students like she does.

Professor Mcgowan was such a gem this semester. I took her spring 2020, even with the COVID-19 and classes being moved online she was super helpful. She really wants what's best for you. She is such a wonderful positive human. If you just show up to class and do the work you are bound to pass with an easy A.

This class will feel like it's so easy that you're wasting your time at first, but it becomes worth it by week 3 and this teacher is a very good one. She'll go above and beyond to support you, answer questions, meet with you, etc and the assignments are easy as long as you follow instructions. That's it!

I'm a dual enrollment student so her teachings really helped me learn more about college life. She was nice and she gave me very helpful feedback. If you are the type to wait until the last minute, I recommend checking assignments beforehand to know their length. She doesn't take late work and some assignments are longer than you would think.

The assignments are simple and straightforward so much so, you really don't need the book and for that reason I didn't buy. For the concepts I didn't know, I simply Googled and watched a handful of Youtube videos. EZ A+

The class is useful for people from ALL walks of life and in different places in life. Lots of extra credit, easy grader. HIGHLY recommend.

Professor McGowan hands down is still one of my favorite professors. I took her last semester and thought I already rated her but I guess I didn't. She is so understanding and so sweet. She really cares about your journey through college and totally understands we have jobs etc. outside of college. I would recommend a thousand times over.

She has many chances of extra credit, some are hidden in the modules. Overall very easy class. Finished with a 99.7% as a Dual Enrollment student, putting in very little effort.

the assignments are super easy, she doesn't accept late work but u dont need to be scared of this at all cause every assignment is super simple and explained well in class. im usually bad at keeping up but thrived in this class. theres also a ton of extra credit opportunities, theres no way to fail.

Professor McGowan was a very great teacher this semester! She was very understanding and gave great feedback on each assignment. There are many opportunities for extra credit in her course, and she provided great resources. Only 1 assignment each week, sometimes 2. There was a final project of writing a letter. Very easy class! I recommend!!!!!!!!!

McGowan is really sweet and caring. Her classes are mandatory, If you want your grade to stay up you need to go to her classes. Her class is not that hard to pass. But what I've seen from other students it's them not submitting and not attending classes that degrades their grade. Just do the work and you will be fine

Professor McGowan is the absolute best professor, this was my first semester of college but i couldn't ask for a better experience. She is kind, courageous, and HELPFUL. This class is super easy to pass, she always reminds you when assignments are due while in class so as long as you go to class you will have no issue, she also gives extra credit.

I took her class online so there wasn't much interaction but she is a really good person. I was going through a hard time throughout the term and she didn't hesitate to reach out with advice on how to improve my situation. Her feedback is great and the assignments aren't hard at all, she also gives a lot of extra credit.

Great teacher! I love the final project she does. The class teaches you really useful information. Always one or two assignments a week. To get full credit on discussion posts you need to send in your own answer one day, and respond to other posts on a seperate day. Professor McGowan gives really clear and useful feedback.

I absolutely love her. This was my first class in college, and I would recommend her for everyone. I got lucky to have a good class. She would do class activities that requires to talk to other students and interact with them. This helped me make friends and have a great semester. She is very caring, will help with anything!

Professor McGowan was the most perfect class I've ever take in my life. She is so sweet and cares so much about her students that she gives the feeling of a fairy godmother. The class is really easy however she is not clear on what the rubric is for assignments. The first discussion post we did everyone got points taken off because we didn't meet the word count. Which she never motioned anywhere in the assignment. The assignments are discussion posts, word document, screenshots (personality test, strengths, etc).

She's a great teacher and very helpful with planning future terms and picking out classes. I made good friends in her class, and we had fun activities that made the experience enjoyable. Definitely a supportive and positive environment!

She was a good professor which is why I gave her a high rating, my final grade was on me. If I had actually put in the effort i would have had a better grade. if you really want an assignment unlocked you have to reach out ahead of time or she will not extend the deadline. Professor McGowan class was very easy. Please don't wait last minute to do your assignments. The assignments are easy but like you still have to put in the work. It's very easy to get an A, she is not a tough grader. The assignments are basically all about you, for example we had an assignment about our phone use. Don't procrastinate, do the work!!

Professor McGowan was extremely helpful throughout the year, gave great feedback and was very receptive. My final grade was the only issue, I asked for a round on my 89.79% but no response back, so assuming she doesn't round grades. Still, 0.21% off from an A is tragic, but my fault.

Awesome Professor. She gives only one assignment per week, and most don't take more than an hour to complete. She is also an easy grader, so just complete your work on time, put in effort, and it is an easy A. She also gives plenty of extra credit. My final grade was over a hundred. There is absolutely no reason for you to not take her.
