She was the best teacher i have had at UTC, she tells you what is on the tests, they are multiple choice and essay that she tells you and you memorize. She also gives lots of extra credit. She is really bubbly and always starts the class with a laugh. She posts notes up. All you have to do is look over the self tests online and take notes. made an

She is incredible. I have never had a professor with so much energy. She makes me laugh throughout the entire class and yet she is also extremely clear. She tells you exactly what to write for the essay portion of the test. Psych is a lot of memory, but she breaks it down well. I definitely suggest taking her class!

I ADORE HER! She is so much fun and interacts with the students. You do have to study, but to me the material was interesting to study. You will make an A if you pay attention and she gives you answers for the tests through online quizzes and the book and also answers the essay questions, which are 50% of your test grade. TAKE HER! I LOVE HER!

Warning to males taking this course. Let go your predetermined views of the world and let the individual differences amongst men and women fill your heart. The first few days might feel like she (and the females in class) are out to get you, this is not the case. (though the classmates might) She is very well rounded and thinks critically. A+ class

Professor Byers is great. She is very thorough with her lectures, makes class fun/interesting (even at 8 am!), and gives up to 21 points for extra credit. The tests are a little challenging because there is so much information to study and remember, but they are completely multiple choice, so that makes them a little easier. I highly recommend her.

Professor Byers is FANTASTIC! I have taken as many lower level Psych classes with her as possible even though I'm not a psych major. She is so much fun. She usually uses the entire class period but she makes it interesting and interactive. If you go to class and pay attention it is hard not to get an A. One of the better professors UTC has. Makes the class fun & there were a lot of laughs throughout the semester. 3 tests, pretty easy if you study. 1 project that was actually really interesting, basically a survey & write a short paper on it. 1 or 2 homework assignments weekly, usually a short reading & like 3 ?s at the most. Definitely take!

Byers is the best! Highly recommend this class. As long as you go to class & look at your book to review the topics in the lecture slides, her tests are a breeze. She gives homework occasionally (weekly at the beginning of the semester then occasionally at the end). There is a research paper at the end of the course, but it's not bad at all.

She gives about one homework assignment a week but she pretty much just grades for completion and it's just your opinion. The tests are pretty straightforward and the one paper is easy.

Professor Byers' class was one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. Her lectures are always engaging and many times are entertaining. She cares about her students and takes her job seriously. In her psychology class, I did poorly on her first test because I did not study. If you study and show up to class you will do well.

Professor Byers is lecture heavy, but PowerPoints used in class are always posted and additional study supplemental resources (I.e. optional practice quizzes) are provided. She is really funny and will for the most part work with you. I would recommend taking her class for the gen ed psych requirement. Also, she provides a FREE textbook.

Professor Byers is awesome! She is lecture heavy, but power points are provided online as well as extra resources (including a free textbook and practice quizzes). She truly wants her students to succeed as long as you want to put in the work. My only beware is that the tests cover LOTS of material, but all of the resources you need are provided.

AMAZING! Her lectures are captivating and actually makes you enjoy learning about the stuff. There is no homework, and she gives lots of extra credit opportunities. Just watch out for the exams! They are all 50 questions and are relatively hard! Study over a long period of time instead of cramming if you actually want a good grade in the class.

Do the online quizzes, they help with the test (basically the tests are made directly from them) You get 5 free skips before she alters your grade. Show up to applications. Easy A.

I loved Professor Byers. Always had fun and interesting lectures. Gave lots of extra credit opportunities. Four total tests, and optional final. No phones/ computers allowed in class or she would give a "pop quiz" or dismiss you. I would for sure take another one of her classes.

Overall a great professor!! The class consists of 3 exams, and an optional/make-up final. She does in class applications throughout the semester that you just have to show up, and do to earn. One of the most caring professors out there. Definitely would take again!!

Professor Byers is amazing, she gives you prep guides before every test and if you know them well you will do great. She also gives MANY extra credit oppurtunities for a grade booster. She doesn't let you on any electronics during class but its only to help the students focus. Can be very stern but she means well. Would absolutely take again.

Honestly one of the coolest professors ever, but her teaching is all over the place and her tests ARE SO HARD. You can do the practice quizzes and it helps a lot, but there's just so much information and only 3 exams. If you're good at remembering things you'll be fine. If not get prepared to be in the library the whole week before the exam.

Overall I loved Byers! She is an amazing professor and makes her lectures entertaining. I struggled in the beginning, but she provided multiple opportunities of extra credit to help my grade. If you attend the class, do the readings, and actually put forth the effort you should do fine in the class. She makes you work for it, but it's worth it.

All you need to do is go to class and study, she gives out PLENTY extra credit opportunities so you shouldn't have lower than a B. I studied the day before or the day of and took good notes in class and made above a C on all of them. Come to class on application days it adds up. The only thing is she HATES phones and will kick you out of class.

I would 10/10 recommend taking her, she truly will help you to the best of her ability to pass the class. She was one of my favorite professors.

Honestly, this was such a good course! The first test was really difficult (it was all of the history of psych) and I thought I was going to do poorly in the class. But, she offers extra credit and gives tips to pass. Read the online textbook (totally free!), take her online practice quizzes and go to class. She is so sweet and knows kids by name

One of the best teachers I've ever had. You need to take her class! She made the lectures interesting and she's so funny. No electronics but you will not be bored in her class. Take notes and STUDY a week before the test! Don't cram!! Trust me it's easier to break it up and study for a couple days instead of 8 hours. Sweetest person ever!

I loved her class. You were allowed to miss 5 days. I recommend that you study a few days before the test. I only studied the quizzes and got a 90 on all the test. Overall, she was a great and very interesting teacher.

I liked Professor Byers, but her exams are difficult. She throws in specific questions that are difficult and hard to make an A. She gives 10 points of extra credit which are easy to obtain if you just go to class. There is no homework, but exams are difficult if you don't study frequently.

She is very accessible outside of class, her lectures are fun and helpful, she's a super easy grader if you actually do what she asks you to and she's clear on what that is, and she gives you plenty of opportunity for extra credit. Prof. Byers is a great professor. She made the course easily understandable as it was online. She keeps her weekly lectures sweet & to the point allowing for questions and review. You're required to read chapters from an online textbook that's free & there are 3 exams & very few homework assignments. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities.

Her exams are not hard as long as you know the vocab, and you can use your study guide for the last 10 minutes of the exam.

Attendance was a must but about 1/3 of the grade was just showing up to in-class quizzes that she would then go over the answers with the class. She also had a lot of extra credit. If you actually tried I cant see how you would get lower than a B in this class.

No homework. 3 tests. Do the study guides and you'll get a good grade. Show up for in class applications and she will give you the answers. She keeps class engaging.

The assignments were pretty straightforward. You will have to study a bit for the tests since its not really common sense but if you study even a little bit you will be fine. Other than that she is very understanding, by far my favorite teacher so far!

The quizzes are multiple choice and straight forward. If you come to the lectures and take the notes, her class is pretty easy and the textbook is easy to read. She gives a lot of grades and her classes are easy to go to. She is nice and very open. However, if she has a rule, she will not bend. No technology, and don't be late. Print your scantron.

She is strict and people got kicked out all the time in my class for going on their phones and such. Also, be ON TIME for class or she won't let you sit in. There were 3 exams and an optional final; Exams are not hard if you study the material and pay attention in class. She does lots of extra credit so make sure to take every opportunity and show up to class. Awesome professor

Professor Byers cares so much about her students and truly wants everyone to succeed. Her class always made my day better. It's not hard to pass the class as long as you're willing to study hard for exams and do the textbook work which is super easy. I really wish I could have Byers every semester.

She is an amazing professor. I definitely recommend anyone take this class. Everything that's expected of you is laid out clear, she reminds you of important dates and overall her course is laid out to benefit the student. She's funny and you have plenty of extra credit opportunities. Don't be on your phone, she'll kick you out. Still 10/10

Professor Byers was the best! Her intro to psych class was my favorite class this semester and I really enjoyed it. She is super funny and truly cares about all of her students and wants everyone to succeed. She gives lots of extra credit! Go to class, take notes, go to application days, and study hard for her exams and you will get an A!

Professor Byers was awesome! Her Intro to Psych class is super easy to make an A in as long as you do your work and study for tests. I studied for maybe 45 minutes for each test and never made below a 90. She offers a ton of extra credit, and a lot of it is really easy (like submitting a picture of what you did over Fall Break). Would recommend!

She gives you so many oppertunities for extra credit and the resources to succeed. She's very clear on grading and introduces and expleins topics well.

Professor Byers really wants her students to succeed, and gives you every tool necessary to make an A in her class. She gets pumped up and made things interesting. Very nice lady, strict phone policy but still allows you to take computer notes. Lots of extra credit, not a lot of homework. Tests were straightforward.

Professor Byers was amazing. She was extremely kind and would start the class by going around to everyone asking "How is everyone doing today." She cares for all her students and loves what she teaches. Highly recommend taking Professor Byers!

Byers was funny but takes things seriously at the same time. She is serious about due dates and does NOT allow electronics out for anything other than note taking. If she sees you on your devices she will kick you out of the classroom. Loved her class does a huge grade bump.

Professor Byers was the most caring nice professor! Be prepared to take a lot of notes. The exams are super difficult if you don't study or pay attention. She does give tons of opportunities for extra credit and even offers to bump your grade depending on attendance and participation. As long as you show up and take notes this class is pretty easy.

Preferably, she was an amazing professor. She does lecture very heavy, def be ready to take lots of notes. Shes very strict, and doesn't care to kick you out. She teaches very clearly. Just make sure you show up and do what she asks and study for exams and you will pass her class. If you get on her bad side on day 1, you'll be up for failure lol.

remember to take lengthy notes!!!! pay attention to what she writes on the white board.

Libby Byers is great. Easy class but you will learn a lot. She has a no cell phone policy which she is very passionate about, but she is very engaging, so you won't really need one. I'm not a top student still she cares. In a class of nearly 150 students she learned and used my name, most of my professors in a 40-student class wouldn't bother.

She has been my favorite professor so far! She does lecture heavily, but she makes sure you know the material. You just have to show up to class and you'll be fine. There are 6 in class applications- BRING YOUR NOTES. She checks notes on these days to make sure you did the work, and if not you will be asked to leave.

Professor Byers was one of my favorite professors. You can tell she's passionate about what she teaches and cares about her students. Would highly recommend!

Professor Byers was an absolute pleasure to have as a psychology teacher, and I'd reccomend her to anyone passionate about the field. She so obviously cares about her students and her material.

Professor Byers is an excellent professor, and I would definitely encourage other students to take her. The class is pretty lecture heavy, but Professor Byers is very entertaining and engaging. She offers numerous opportunities for extra credit. Pay attention and participate during class and you'll do just fine!

She cares about her students, offers tons of extra credit options, and makes learning fun and interesting! The exams were slightly difficult but if you pay attention, study and take notes you will do great. Loved this class!

Byers is a good professor. You do have to pay attention to her lectures and study for her exams but they are not bad at all. She also offers extra credit through sona.

Had for for 1010 and wanted to take her again for electives. 100% worth it! I learned so much from her as her lectures were engaging and really interesting and fun. I am a Senior now and Professor Byers has been my favorite teacher since freshman year. If you ever get the chance to take her classes DO IT! Easiest A of all time.

libby byers is so nice and she loves to crack a joke. her class is very lecture heavy but also good amount of group in class activity's. All assignments really easy and essay very strategic forward if you pay attention in class you'll make good grades. She also offers extra credit but not needed if you pay attention your grade will match.

Libby's class is an easy A.Each week, she assigns two assignments and one unit quiz. As long as you read the slides/go through the study guide, it's a straightforward pass. Her assignments always come with a clear rubric, so if you follow it closely getting a high grade is pretty easy. She's also really responsive to emails, which is super helpful.

I took her class online and the only reason I would say her work was hard is her study guide need to be a little more specific. We didn't have textbook for this class that cost but we would have weekly readings.

Super easy class and professor is one of the best at the university. Attendance is mandatory for a grade but she drops 4 at the end of the semester. There are 6 assignments for the class and half are in class only plus the lowest score is dropped. There are only 3 exams and no final! Overall amazing class and recommend taking!!
