i can't understand anything she says. she makes the easiest concept become the hardest thing ever!!
Well, she is a Chinese. I think she is fine, she gives a lot of homework, rewiew before the test coming. However, the test its really easy to pass,if you did all of the homework and also listen carefully when she rewiews.(When she rewiews, she will say which one would be on the test too.)
this is the worst teacher that you can possibly have. she sucks, really really bad. she's very dull and has no life. when i had her, she started out with like 30 somethin students then ended up with like 7 or 9....literally. so you know it's her teaching, not the students. do not, i reapeat, do not register for this women.....
ok, she gets an A for effort cuz she showed up. otherwise i didnt understand a lot of the concepts that i used to understand in high school. She has trouble with english which makes it difficult to understand, and a 3 hour lecture class is waay too long to be in the same room with her. reletively easy tests, homeork due at the end of every week.
this teacher is very hard to understand you could walk in knowing basic math and walking out not knowing anything when you leave. something like 2 plus 2 would look like chemistry. dont take her if you wont to pass understanding what you are doing ..

although her tests are pretty easy, i have to say she's a bad teacher. she doesnt explain the material very well, she makes a lot of mistakes(during lectures and grading tests)and her english is not that good. if you're not good at math she will definitely confuse you

well ... Don't take her. I'm sorry but she isn't a very good teacher. I used to be reasonable at math but now ... i don't even want to talk about it. It's kind of upsetting really.

Really nice easy teacher, but you learn nothing. You have to teach yourself the math. Test are okay, except when it comes to the final. Nobody finished! All test are cumulative too, eh!
I could barely understand her when she talked. My class was a two hour class and all she did was lecture the whole two and a half hours. So it was not a student friendly class.
Prof Wang was an awesome teacher. She's very careful when explaining the material and she will answer all your questions. She gives homework and its not due until the class meeting after the tests. Tests are definitely a challenge so know the material. She's an awesome woman.
good teacher, nice lady, she makes it easy for students to pass. ofcourse the student has to do his part and actually study. but if you truly try you'll pass. i find math hard, she makes it easier. i got a C. i always went to tutoring tho. i'd recommend her.
TAKE HER. lectures are ridiculously boring BUT she makes the class insanely easy. plenty of extra credit opportunities,open book exams and the book is very easy to understand. math is NOT my subject whatsoever and i still did very well in the class.

Currently taking this class because this teacher got high ratings. She is a nice lady, but I have issues with math and am STRUGGLING in her class. Maybe if you like math and can teach yourself you should take her. Let me be clear, if you have trouble with math, DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!. I am frustrated, going to have to drop with a w. Waste of time!
She does have An accent, however she IS CHINESE! This section has online homework and quizzes, which I find very helpful! I get to know right away If my answer is right and If it's wrong the computer will show me how to do it correctly. She isn't as bad as everyone is saying!
She isn't as bad as everyone is saying. She does care and try to help her students to get a better grade. She is very sweet and calm. I do recomment her for anyone who want to get over the class with high grade because her test is exactly like the exam test that she gives you. There is no way that you can't pass the class with an A.
I was going to give her a decent rating until today!! I would not recomend her! She would get off topic too much and spend too much time on one problem! The homework is online and she wants the textbook in class every session. she makes your classmates grade your quizzes and extra credit in class.
Her lectures can be boring at times, but overall she is very helpful. Exams are open book and are exactly like the homework problems.
She is such a great teacher. She gives alot of extra credit, It is impossible to fail. Just read the book each night and you'll be fine, definitely recommend her. Very Helpful! The only ones complaining are the lazy people, but she's a great teacher. =D

Help you out alot she is kind of funny she gives out alot extra points and rewards students for staying the duration of the class I will recommend anyone to take her
HYBRID- Do all the online homework and quizzes, also check up on the study guides that she posts and it should give you a decent grade. The first 2 tests are a breeze but the ones after that are difficult. Make sure to attend all the classes, she gives weekly quizzes that add up. If your not a good self learner don't take the class.
I would say I was very good at math until I took her. You for sure have to show up every class in order not to get lost. She mentioned it was her first time teaching calc 2, and I did poorly. Quizzes are almost every other day, online homework. She usually focuses on one problem instead of extending to other problems. She goes fast pace.
I LOVE PROFESSOR WANG ! This is my first time posting on this website and Im doing it to let everyone know..TAKE HER !!! She's the sweetest lady ever and she has a very strong passion for teaching Math. She cares about her students success. She's an Angel and gives El Co a great name; I have been blessed to have been able to absorb her knowledge :)
She was okay. SHe wasnt so hard and plus she is very helpful it just that she doesnt clarify what she wants done. SOme weeks she teach one chapter then the next week we will have a test on another chap that she haven't taught to us. But overall I think she is an okay teacher.
She is seriously the sweetest teacher ever!! At first, I thought she was a bit awkward but later realized what a sweetheart she really is. She is more than willing to help you but, there is a catch, you have to initiate it first. To be frankly honest, its not a super easy class but if you try, she'll see that! SHE'S JUST TOO SWEET! :)
She is a really nice teacher. She isn't the best but she tries really hard. The homework is all online. If it weren't for me taking calculus in high school I would have been so lost. She teaches a lot of proofs. If you read the book and do well on the tests and homework the class should be easy.
Very good teacher. She is rigorous, as a math teacher should be but if you're paying attention and doing the online homework you cant do bad. The final was difficult, as there were problems in it that we have never attempted in class or in the homework. I would take her again if I had the option.
horrible professor. she makes math a very foreign language, and actually would rather teach using the longer method to solve less complex probs. Goes off topic a lot(not about practical things), and takes students' difficulty in math personally. very sensitive. utilize tutoring
If you take this class you'll most likely end up teaching yourself through the entire course. There is also way too much online home work and its overwhelming.
She's great. The homework is all online which can be kind of annoying. She is more than willing to give extensions, just ask. She teaches the long and short way of doing a problem and you can pick which method is easier for you. She uploads a practice test online before every test and goes over them in class and reviews before handing out test.
she always willing to help. I absolutely love her and would take her again. She's very picky when it comes to test but she's reasonable.
If math isn't your thing, take this class. She is very patient and if you're not too sure the book will help Dont need the book but did need the access code! homework is online and she extends it if you ever need her too. Very considerate. Tests are pretty easy
She has a weird way of teaching. She is not very clear and she likes to enjoy taking her time turning a 5 minute explanation into a 20 minute one. Had I not thoroughly understood my Math 180 class, I would be dead in this class. Expect to self teach yourself in this class because her explanationslectures WILL throw you off.
I like this teacher! Very good a teaching, and if you are bad a math, definitely she is the teacher that will be able to help go through it ! :)
I would not recommend this teacher unless you like to self teach yourself. Passed Math 180 last semester with an A, but right now, I am struggling to get an A. She is not a very good teacher, she will normally turn a 5 min lecture into a 20 min confusing one. Sometimes, it is better to NOT pay attention. First day, we spent 1hr going over rad(4).
Avoid this professor. She makes statistics a lot harder than it has to be. She gives study guides for the tests, but the study guides have 120 problems and the tests only have 15 - 20 problems. You will have to spend 7-8 hours of your life doing the study guide, then she will still have a few questions on the test that were not on the study guide.
She was very grouchy and constantly criticized and belittled the class. Example: She gave pop quizzes where she tried to stump us with material that she had not covered, then she would say, "I don't know what is wrong with you. Why couldn't you get it, it is easy." Just being mean! And the quizzes are 25% of your grade. Not helpful.

Ms. Wang was confusing for me, but she's a pretty good professor. If you need help she will help you, but for me it was just too confusing. She's bubbly, I'll give her that, but if you need clear cut instructions in math, she might not be the best.

Anyone who gives Mrs. Wang a poor review is CRAZY! Mrs. Wang is an unbelievable teacher who not only has the best teaching methods, but truly cares about her students learning the material the correct way. This is coming from a guy who HATES math, but Mrs. Wang is that good!!!. (Also very funny and has some awesome jokes) Going to miss her!!
She is a very very very good professor! She gives quizzes everyday, but they are given to help you, and they really did help me! Just study, go to class, and you'll do fine. Also, she let's you ask questions before the quizzes and tests.
Okay so I was the one that did the review on 9/6 and honestly I was so wrong. I stuck it out and she is a very good professor. All in all, her grading is a bit confusing at first but she makes you learn not to make little mistakes. All her quizzes/tests are based on the hw packet. Very easy and she teaches you diff. methods. 10/10
Coming from someone that didn't even know how to multiple fractions (lol) I learned SO much from Prof. Wang. Her grading could be a bit meticulous but it has made me avoid making small mistakes. She answers all your questions and lets you ask before quizzes/tests. Also all you need is the hw packet. Wish she were teaching 80!
The Best math teacher I've ever had, because of her I now love math, having struggled with it in HS. I understand how some people find her challenging, but if you walk in the door wanting to learn she will help you in anyway she can. All you need is paper, a pencil and your willing brain. That's it pure and simple, no BS. But she likes baloney
quizzes all the time, however they are very easy and extra credit is available on all of them including the test. All test questions come from homework. Very clear on what she looks for while shes grading and tells you exactly how to get extra credit. I didnt pay much attention in class and still got an A
Really good math teacher. Lots of extra credit for just taking the quizzes and tests. Answers all your questions really well and makes it easy to understand. She really puts effort in her teaching.

hardest math i've ever taken. you MUST make time to study. she goes through many of the concepts but there are some things that she will assume you already know. she does care for students, but the course can just be very overwhelming.
She is a great and caring teacher. You wouldnt think it but she has a decent sense of humor. She gives pop quizzes every day for the most part. She basically goes over the quizzes before giving them out. She also gives a ridiculous amount of extra credit just for doing the problem correctly. This is also a relatively easy class.
The best math professor ever, she makes math super easy and intersting. Quizz amlost eveyday she goes over similar quizz questions before the quiz. She truly cares about students. There is no reason not to take her

Very good teacher I have ever had. SHe is professional. The lectures are very interesting. She explains every single step until you understand. Take her's class and you will learn much more than expected.
Professor Wang's class was definitely tough. Quiz every week and 2 exams throughout the semester. Her final isn't too bad but you really need to know what you are doing. Her lectures are good but can be hard to follow if you lose focus. The best thing about this class is how she calculates your final grade( I won't give it away). Overall good time.
tbh her class is getting harder. 2 hw assignment 2 exams and 1 final for the whole semester. her quiz is easy but her test is hard, she is very easygoing and patient if you have any questions she will be happy to help you. if u are looking for an easy A this is not the right class for you
Was super tough and bad at explaining, had quizzes or a test every class. Doesnt make sure students understand material before moving on just assumes.
Professor Wang is a pretty hard teacher but she is good at what she does. She has a quiz everyday and has 2 tests and a final. If you do not pay attention in class or do not ask her for help if you struggle you will easily fall behind. She takes the time to make sure students know the material through quizzes and will go over homework everyday.
professor wang is perhaps the professor that has my utmost respect when it comes to teaching math. she is professional and really does make sure we learn the proper math (no shortcuts, makes us derive formulas in class). very tough grader, especially while making emphasis that math is literally like reading a book! Makes you work hard but very good
Professor Wang is insightful, motivational & full of puns. Prof Wang gave us study guides & is available for office hours. Be in a Precalc class where many ask questions & participate to get the right answer. Notes were helpful & extensive. Topics extended well into Calculus. It's a lot of paper so I recommend saving the pdf.

This professor over complicates everything. It would probably take her an hour to explain 1+1. She works based off word problems that she writes herself, it has happened a few times that she has gotten the answer wrong herself. The textbook you use can be ANY INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA BOOK ever made according to her so that doesnt help when studying
Professor Wang likes to focus on making her class more difficult and takes pride in the fact she gives out few passing grades. She wont help you after you ask for help and her instructions are always contradicting herself. She likes to talk about how hard it is for her instead of focusing on the teaching. Any other teacher you ever had is better!!
Wang the worst teacher EVER. I had to correct her quizzes (including the midterm/final) at least six times & during actual lectures too. she wants her students to fail b/C her method of "teaching" is absolute garbage, i had to learn everything through youtube & she doesn't want you to learn formulas b/c they're a "waste of time" AVOID HER
I took the logic based inter. algebra class and there was 0% logic in her lectures. she cannot explain the lectures at all and would constantly say how we were doing better than her calculus class. when reviewing quizzes it takes up 90% of the class period making us behind on classwork & focused on what you did wrong rather than teach the right way
There are three quizzes every week based off the lecture. She gives detailed lectures that you can just speed-watch through. No homework. Gives plenty of extra credit. I suck at math and I have a 100.1% in the class. Make sure to take good notes and ask for help anywhere. She loves when you participate but don't take anything she says personally.
It’s not enough by attending classes, even by doing homework if you’re looking for good grades. You should prepare beforehand before any pop or early-bird quiz. Plan your method to answer any math problem quickly because time is very short.
Professor Wang graded too harshly by students Professor Wang cares about you learning the material as she puts in time and effort going indepth with her video 7 hours of lectures every week and your grade is based chiefly on quizzes the answers are from the lecture and homework, she's also more than happy to answers any questions in office hours
Grades are based only on weekly quizzes and two tests. The quiz questions are from the homework which isn't graded. In lecture, we went over very few examples of how to do problems because majority of the time she goes off on a tangent. She posts videos of the same lesson that you can watch later and is available for questions all the time.
Honestly never watched a single lecture and still passed with a C+ She gives 2-3 quizzes every week, 3 chances. Her midterm and final is also 3 chances. She does not accept late work at all. She only gives quizzes, 1 midterm, and 1 final, nothing else. If you do bad, its really hard to bring your grade back up. She seems nice though.
Professor Wang was very flexible. Lots of lecture videos to help you understand the material. Take notes on the lectures as it will also be on the quizzes and tests you take while in her class. Do the homework as it will be on the quizzes you take. Quizzes are due every Sunday at 11:59PM. One midterm exam and one final exam.
Prof Wang is so sweet! After having a really bad experience with past math professors, she was like a breath of fresh air! She cares about her students a lot and will do everything in her power to help you pass. Even though your grade depends on just quizzes and exams, do not let it intimidate you as they are very reasonable. Definitely recommend!
As an online course it's a lot harder to learn the content and Profesor Wang, while with good lectures, the weekly quizzes are a bit hard. She is a very fast responder but the class is difficult
