She is tough but she is fair. I had a tough time in her class but thats becuase i suck at math not because she is a bad teacher

she is a very nice lady. she teaches really well and always ready to help students in class or outside of classroom.

She is an AWESOME TEACHER!! All these bad ratings are by people who just didn't give her a chance. She will work with you if you need it. She helped me pass!! I think she is one of the nicest people and shes smart and funny! Take her if you can, but only if you want to WORK!!! Don't slack = passing!

she is VERY nice...i was having some personal problems the first 2 months of my semester so i wasn't doing that well in class...she saw me trying and help me out...she's only hard on those people that give her sh*t and that's understandable...she's funny and personable...i recommed her!

she is great,very clear and to the point but gentle with the concepts she is teaching,no room for u to get confused and she only gets impatient with the ones that want to overthink what she's teaching or try to challenge it.Just do it how she does it,its that simple.I'm never good at math but did good in her class.

Prof. Orlova is an excellent teacher for those who want to learn. Pay attention, DO YOUR HOMEWORK, and it's an easy "A". No tricks or surprises in her class. She covered all material thoroughly. Those who fall behind do so because they do not do the homework.

The nicest teacher I've had for Math. If your not doing so well she will tell you that you need to study. Doing the homework was probably the biggest help and she answered any questions.

I took her for a winter course and she taught us everything we needed to know. she was very fair and said if you got A's on everything you don't have to take the final on the last day. Very straight forward homework was a lot but right out of the text book and it only helps if you do it. recommend if your willing to put some work in.

Goes out of her way to help you. If you ask questions and participate in class, expect to earn a good grade I failed 1st time around with another professor and earned B+ with her.

Very nice teacher. She helps you when you need it. Shes just such a sweet lady. People who say her class is hard are idiots because she made everything very cleared. A lot of homework but its helpful. I would take her again.

I'm a freshman, and I took a year break from math in high school. But her class is easy enough and the concepts are simple enough to pass easily. If you don't understand, she'll explain. Just do your homework (it really helps out). Also, be on time! (She counts lateness as 12 absence) She drops your lowest quiz grade if attendance is good.

Professor Orlova was an awesome professor for me she helped me to understand algebra and helped tremendously during the semester study at home or you will be behind gives homework and checks it textbook required calculator necessary do not skip class or you will fall behind KNOWS HER STUFF

Professor Orlova has a no nonsense grading criteria. If you don't make the effort she can tell. If you are not paying attention she will call you out. I LOVE IT! She really looks out for the students who try. I would definitely take her course again. "Looks like you're sleeping over there!" You can bet he didn't fall asleep again!

She is Great, very helpful and very knowledgeable. She is super fair and goes over exam material with you. I enjoyed her class, she is sweet and teaches you a lot!

She is amazing! If you don't pay attention then you won't make it but she is great and try to give you as much help as possible.

I hated math before. I took her math 101 class and it totally changed my opinion. You HAVE to do the homework or else you'll fall behind. She is fast paced but give extra credit. She even lets you use index cards on the tests. You just have to do the homework and memorize the concepts and you'll be fine. I'm actually taking her again for Mat 109.

she's really good at covering subjects. you just have to show up and do your work. she assigns homework every class and does quizzes. she moves fast but if you do not understand something she has no problem explaining it to the class. as someone who struggles with math, she's very good at making subjects clear. she's a good teacher overall :)

She really really cares thats why she may get disappointed if she notices you slacking (not doing HW) she works on stubject to its entirety so you should be able to do homework and pass her tests This is a teacher to take very very seriously I really liked her even if she was tough very nice still

If you have a chance take this professor, she is a fair grader, and as long as you do your share of the work you will pass.

Its sometimes its hard to understand her but shes super mice and sweet and gets upset when you arent putting full effort.

Math is particularly difficult for some, however, she is very dedicated in to teaching you the right way and she is always willing to help. You will participate no matter she calls on everyone in the class to make sure you got the material.

Wonderful person. She truly cares about the students and wants everybody to do well. Gets upset when students do not do the homework, which is understandable. I would definitely suggest taking her class.

I met Professor Orlova in my remedial algebra class in 2018. She was a tough teacher as we had a 4.5 hour class on a Sunday . Math 101 began as a face to face class and then Covid hit . She was very adept at Zoom and our class continued. Textbook is necessary to pass this class , very fair grader and excellent teacher and person .

She is a great professor, truly cares about students' success. Always available for the office hours, and very helpful! The previous review was written the first week of the semester, you cannot really know the professor until you are in class for a few weeks I'd totally recommend taking her class. Very clear grading system, gives extra credit:)

AMAZING!! I would take her again if i could. She's so kind. She actually explains what she's teaching the class and answers questions throughly. Gives homework but its great for review for her tests and quizzes. I hated math all my life and she actually helped me enjoy it so much and understand what I'm learning. Loved the class!

Winter session over zoom, she is great. She knows how to teach and is good at answering questions. The material was condensed so you need to do the homework to have a great understanding, but she reviews before the tests and there are no surprises. She will call on each person once a day so you better focus. Online text and TI84 required.

She cares about her students' success above all else. The class was very fast paced, but she explains everything very well. If you do the homework and understand the material (she goes over everything until there are no more questions asked),you will get an A. Slight miscommunications here and there, but just clarify if you're confused on something

Ive NEVER been good at math, but this professor makes sure everyone understands and she doesnt make you feel stupid when asking questions! hw after every class, but it helps you understand the topic. Youre forced to pay attention cause shell randomly call on everyone once to make sure theyre keeping up but she teaches so well that its not bad

She is an amazing teacher, she explains stuff so well, in the beginning of the semester I failed the first quiz and I was really worried so I talked to her and she said to try out the math lab and I went from then on and never looked back. Her review sheets before exams are a very good indicator for whats gonna be on the tests

Prof. Orlova has been one of the most generous and caring professors that I have had at this school. Her online lectures were very clear, although the subject itself can be difficult. I had a lot of personal issues this semester, and she was so kind and understanding. She truly has her students best interest at heart and wants to see you succeed.

PROF.ORLOVA WAS AWESOME. THIS COURSE CAN BE CHALLENGING BUT SHE MADE IT VERY EASY FOR STUDENTS TO FOLLOW. SHE ASSIGNS HOMEWORK, AND ALWAYS GOES OVER IT IN CLASS WHICH HELPS WITH UNDERSTANDING OF THE MATERIAL. SHE IS VERY CARING, AND GIVES EXTRA CREDIT TO HELP WITH THE GRADE. WILL DEFINITELY TAKE HER AGAIN.

Took her for Intro to Stats class during the winter. There were 3 tests, 3 quizzes (drops lowest grade if you attend all classes), and a final exam. It is very fast pace, but she will go over anything you are confused on. She does randomly call on you so be prepared! Lastly, she offers extra credit which is for the final exam.

I took statistics in the winter with her, and professor Orlova had made it very palatable. She always answers all your questions very patiently. She sometimes calls on students, to help out not to catch you out, and in a very friendly manner. Great discussions in class, it helped me to get an A in the course, and I am not very good in math.

If you're taking set theory and logic it's so easy. She's very understating.

Professor Orlova is a great Professor. She is very cooperative with students and she is kind as well. I loved the ALEKS software we used in class. It helped me to really understand the topics. When I say God blessed me with this class, I mean it. As long as you keep up with assignments and attendance, you'll pretty much be chillin' all semester.
