Really nice teacher, makes sure her students understand and is available to any questions. I struggle with Math but she is by far the best. Number of questions and skill level on test is reasonable. I totally recommend her.

Easiest class for College Algebra, you get 15% for HW online, 10% for class participation, and the final is only 15%, and since you have to really do a lot of homework, you can watch the videos on aleks on how to do them and you get like 5 different reviews with exercises similar to the ones in the test

I have been taking her class this semester, and she's a really good teacher. She does multiple examples before moving on to the next math lesson. The homework is all online and not bad at all. I would really recommend her, shes nice, patient, and a great teacher.

Good professor, you can make questions, she write all in the board. If you follow the class the tests are piece of cake. I recommend her.

AMAZING PROFESSOR!! She is very understanding and she will explain something over if you don't understand. She does have an accent but it wasn't hard to understand her at all. There is a lesson every class and homework, but the homework is on a program called Mylabs Plus and the homework is due at the end of the course, The ASC has test reviews.

I am not good at math, but she was thorough with explaining everything. You don't need a textbook. There was only 4 tests, the midterm, and the final, and all the homework was done through mylabsplus.

Would SO take her again! Very sweet & she makes the most complicated concepts simple and easy to understand. She's very clear & will make the effort to make sure you fully understand. She also gives good reviews before each exam which really help prepare & you are only tested on what she covers in the class not based on what's covered in the hw.

She's a great professor! She simplifies the material so youre not overwhelmed. Has reviews before each exam. 60% Multiple choice, 40% written. 4 exams, a final, online homework, and 2 quizzes. This class was amazing and an easy A. she also gives you credit if you show work even when its wrong.

Too many good things to say. She is very organized and clear, her tests are almost the same than the reviews. 4 tests and the final. Homework on mymath lab. If you get more than 90% on tests, homework and quizzes, you won't take the final, which is the best and nothing impossible. I made it. Take her!

She is the best math professor at BC!! She made such a hard subject for me super easy! She can be a little slow when lecturing but that's what is so good! She uses ALEKS but only to help you. Has 4 tests and drops your lowest grade. Extra credit study guides before EACH test! Final is cumulative but very easy! She's very straightforward!

Professor Muniz is so sweet, caring, and truly gifted at teaching! I looked her up before taking her and I'm so glad I did! She made me love math and she gives tons of examples and her tests/how are pretty straightforward. She also offers extra credit here and there. You won't regret it!

She is amazing, she goes over many examples on the board, you have to use ALEKS which it was a life savior for me to learn all the math I forgot from high school. It is for this class, (and aleks) that I want to be an engineer now, and I used to hate math. TAKE HER, study the review for the exams(which are extra credit) and do the hw!

Professor Lilian is an Amazing professor!!!!! Clear, easy way to teach and well organized..... I took two courses (MAC1140 and MAC1114) with her. She is very organized, and she teaches very clearly until you understand everything. She is more than fair on grading. She is respectful. I recommend her to everyone who needs excellent professor.

She is a nice professor! She always gives a study guide before each test and a review. The class is amazing!

She is a great teacher. She speaks really softly so you'll have to listen up. She gives an extra credit packet before each test and that'll add about 3 points to the test. The HW on mymathlab is ridiculous. In each section, there's about 40 questions and each question has about 3 to 5 parts and it gets annoying. But other than that, she's awesome.

Nice caring woman. Sorta easy, but you have to work alittle bit if your a student like me who slacked on her test and got c's and hates math. If you wana get an A study. The extra credit saves you, the work you show, and mylab but she only puts one grade. Grading criteria is 50% a test 4, drops lowest grade so 3. One hw grade 20%, and 10% attend.

She is such a great teacher! She gives you multiple chances to pick up extra credit. She always gives a test review that is worth 3 points. If you need extra help she is always willing to help you after class or during her office hours. Take her you won't regret it!

I SUCK at math and this lady made math sooooo easy and clear for me to understand!! Absolutely love her!!! BEST math teacher I've ever had to take for college! Professor Muniz cares about her students, she gives worksheets throughout the semester to give a better understanding of the lesson while teaching and taking notes. She uses videos and reviews on the board as well for our better understanding. She does drop your lowest assignment grades.

She was an amazing professor, she explains everything in depth and you can ask her to repeat anything from the problems if you dont understand. As well as you get extra credit for each exam you take and bumps it up 3points. Even if you get the the answer wrong in the exam she will still give points for showing work. She is a great professor. I have taken all my math classes with her. There is a study guide and a review before taking each exam. I like her class because she is very detailed explaining. She is one of the best professors I have had.

Took 6-week course. She teaches well and explains it very clearly. She uploads the slides she teaches from and practice exams on D2L. MyMathLab used as homework and spent 2-3 hours on it since I wanted 100% on every section. 4 tests w/ one dropped if you scored low on it. Final has 25 Q's. No extra credit. Handouts w/ formulas can be used on test!

She makes class so easy to understand. I wouldn't consider her class an easy A but If you pay attention and do everything that is required you will pass the class with an A. She gives extra credit on test for doing test review and also gives you points on a test if you show work!

This professor is great. She is always willing to answer questions and stop mid problem to explain the steps of how she got to that point. She cares about her students is is very responsive. She lets students use a note card with formulas for specific tests and the final. There is online homework, 4 tests (lowest grade dropped), and a final.

I passed this class on my 1st try thanks to her. Test aren't that difficult as long as you study and have a good understanding of the material. She's very nice and willing to help her students. Put in effort and she'll meet you half way. Gives 3 points extra on her exams when you turn in the study guide the day of the exam.

Professor Lillian really motivates me to learn math the way she explains the material and just her charming personality shes always willing to help outside of class and her study guides are a life saver if you know how to solve all equations on the reviews you should pass her exams including the final! Absolutely wonderful professor! She goes into detail on what she teaches and is always willing to help. There is 3% extra credit per test if you do the review she gives you and turn it in on the day of and grades each problem fairly so if you got the answer wrong and did the work on the test, she will give points for the work done. Highly recommend

I took Business Calc for the summer and it was HARD! We had 4 tests and a final all in 8 weeks. She went over the material extremely fast due to the limited time so if you didn't understand you had to see her during office hours. She's caring and moved some test dates so we had more time to study. Do the Online HW and the test reviews. I got a B.

Professor Alvarez is very upfront and easy going with her lectures. She goes through problems step by step and isn't afraid to repeat herself if asked. Usually I'm afraid to ask questions, but the professor made a comfortable learning environment. This class was mixed online so there was a lot of HW ; good study material, but to many questions.

Professor Muniz is an amazing teacher, this is the second course i take with her. her grading is very fair. If you take her face-to- face she will let you do the review for extra points towards her exams. I also took her online course during summer due to the pandemic and her work load was very fair and she had 4 tests and mathlab.

She is great. There is a lot of hw on MML but they are fairly easy. Attendance isn't mandatory but her class is a class you don't want to miss. She breaks everything down so you can fully understand and she goes over everything. She also provides handouts that you can use during here test. Easy A if you do everything and use the handouts.

Professor Lilian is incredible! I took her for a summer course and had to be there most days of the week, but it was an adventure I would not have underwent with any other professor. Her ability to convey information concisely is the reason I earned such a fantastic grade. There is no substantial extra credit, but pay attention and you'll succeed!

Professor Muniz is amazing, she goes in detail over each exercise step by step and stops if anyone, even one person doesn't understand in order to explain. She measures understanding by asking questions or using polls that count for attendance. Light on the homework and provides plenty of resources to get a good grade.

(I took her in Fall 2017, just getting around to doing these now). But she was absolutely amazing. She was able to explain everything at a level where it was not hard to understand. Do ALL of the extra credit, trust me it is worth it, and just show up to class, it is not a bad lecture.

Please take her, shes by far the BEST math professor at BC. Idk about the slander with her online courses but, face to face shes awesome. She so patient and clear with the content she teaches. Dont play yourself by not taking her. The homework is pretty easy and she only takes the 3 highest scores of tests. The final is all multiple choice too.

She's a wonderful professor who teaches her class well ! She provides +5 extra credit points on all 4 exams provided you do the handout before the test due date, and the final is all multiple choice. The lowest test grade gets dropped as well. Don't hesitate to ask her questions because she really is there to help you understand.

I thought I wasn't good at math and almost quit college. Professor Muniz taught me the basics and with her help math finally made sense. I had her for Algebra and trigonometry and would take her for every math course if I could. She is very patient and caring, how I wish all professors were.

Absolutely loved this teacher!! She adhered to all students and always made sure everyone understood before continuing and posted all PPT notes to D2L. She taught in a way you could learn audibly, visually, and hands-on. Definitely one of the best professors I've had so far. If you need to take STATS, definitely take her!!

If you want to take a math class, i recommended STAT2023. By far the easiest math subject. If you do the study guides and study it, you will pass her test. Her test was basically the study guides. For the homework, you can get the answer from a website called chegg.

As someone who has never been amazing at math, I can say this was my fav math course. It wasn't easy because stats is a breeze, but this teacher literally breaks everything down and has great in depth lectures that help so much. i took this class online, but i can tell she would be a great teacher if i had her in-person. her office hours were only once a week for 40 min. she met with me on zoom to address my content-related questions, and she was super helpful. she's responsive too. her tests involve critical thinking so just make sure you know how to apply the content.

If you're thinking about taking ANY math class take her class. You WON'T regret it. She drops your lowest test score, the homework is easy, she gives out formula handouts for every test, and she gives +5 points extra credit for every test (if you turn in the study guide). As someone who is mediocre in math and got an A+, I 100% recommend her class.

Amazing professor, you take 5 test and she drops the lowest score. Plenty of time to complete the homework. There is no midterm but there is a final. Professor Muniz actively communicates with her students, even in an online course, and it's clear that she genuinely wants to give you the chance to learn and improve your grade. lots of work but plenty of opportunity. exploit them. Use tutor. Send her an email. Use your resources. Don't wait last min to do the assignments. She's amazing!
