This course is a fear driven. Teacher should not be teaching-long history behind this teachers methods.
Lectures disorganized, leaving your notes a complete MESS! COMPLETLY INTIMIDATING, make sure that your question for her isn't a stupid one, cuz she'll make sure U LOOK AND FEEL STUPID! exams are a definate challenge. she needs to retire!
Dr. Blaschke is an excellent teacher. She is not an easy teacher by any means, but she is clear, fair, and once you pass her class you don't forget what you learned!
Dr. Blascke is a gifted instructor. Her course was rigorous, down right impossible for most. Students were dropping like flys! This class was one of the most challenging I've had yet. More students should have been in my study group; I'm the only one in her class who earned an "A" that semester.
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASSS...unless you're a naturally gifted brainiac!!! She is a very good teacher in terms of her lectures, but as far as her helpfulness and personality is concerned, forget it. She's VERY intimidating and makes you feel like a complete idiot whenever you're lost.
worst teacher I have ever had. She is completly rude and horrible with her students. She knows her subject but cannot teach it. Some people should simply not be teacers!
I have never met a professor so full of herself. I missed ONE lab, and a couple lectures and she encouraged me to drop her class before the first practical. I ended up getting the SECOND HIGHEST in all of her SECTIONS (not just my class!). After this, she took me aside and said just because I am sucessful in her class, she did not have to pass me.
Horrible teacher! Knows her stuff but lecture/lab/book do not correlate. She's totally intimidating and her tests are ridiculously hard. Don't take her class!
blaschke...is a teacher( or so she calls herself that) not a counselor! she should be reported for giving her students advice on career decisions. I was stunned by her sexism against women. she always talks about professionalism but she is very unprofessional. She is rude and unhelpful.
This "teacher" put 140 questions on the 1st exam, and the instructions were very unclear. She WANTS you to drop her class. She responds to most questions by saying, "I already gave you that information" or "you should know that already". I would rather be dragged into the street and beaten with a fireplace poker than take another class from her.
Blaschke is the worst teacher ever. She is very unhelpful when you try to ask her a question because she expects you to know everything after she mentions it one time in lecture. She also like to tell people off for no reason. If you are going to take anatomy I suggest you take it somewhere else because she is a horrible teacher.

A very interesting class, but extremely difficult & Blaschke certainly doesn't help. Downside: She's super strict and nearly everyone in our class was terrified to ask her questions (and with good reason). Upside: If you stay below her radar, hang in there, do the reading assignments & work hard, she may be merciful when grading. Best of luck!
Very difficult class. Professor is very arrogant b/c she's extremely knowledgeable and passionate about anatomy. Good attendance, excellent notes and lots of dedicated studying is NECESSARY. I saw half the class drop after midsemester. She doesn't take crap from anyone. Very challenging, but learned a lot.
If you take detailed notes, have perfect attendance, and study every spare moment, including when you're on the toilet, you'll get a C. Her tests are crazy! I don't think she believes in giving A's. I learned a lot in her class, she's very thorough, but I don't have grades to show for my effort.
She an awesome professor, she teach this class really well. It an Anatomy class of course it going to be very hard, don't blame her because you fail the class. She give out alot of extra credit quiz and she also come in the weekend if you need more lab time study. If you plan to take this class, all I could says is take good notes and study.study
Prof. Blaschke is an EXCELLENT professor¡ Extremely knowledgable¡ Correct pronunciation & spelling ARE A MUST¡ U will retain & learn tons of info. She is comprable 2 science profs at UCR. Lectures extremely precise & U R EXPECTED 2 know everything she presents in lecture. Use book n conj with lec notes 2 study. Ask questions, she is ALWAYS AVAIL¡
The class is TOUGH and Blaschke is MEAN! If you're a sensitive person, DON'T take her class (but if you major in nursing you'll have no choice, like me). If she doesn't like your question, she'll criticize you in front of fellow students. She thinks she’s the ultimate Goddess of Anatomy and leaves you feeling like a total moron who isn't worthy of
Blaschke teaches straight out of the book and has a demeaning attitude towards her students. Though her knowledge in anatomy is exellent, her ability to converse or transfer anatomy knowledge to her students is terrible. It is a waste of time to take her class you will learn nothing and be confused.
Very old School. Likes students who take medicine seriously.
Dr. Blaschke is one tough professor! Her philosophy is to "weed" out all the weak students who she feels should not be in a health career. If you study hard you'll be ok.
A TERRIFIC teacher! Old school, strict, and demanding, but what do you expect from a teacher that is preparing future health professionals? Of course she's gonna be hard. Hardest class you'll take (no matter where you take it); trust me! you'd rather want a demanding teacher than one that doesn't care, at least 5 hours per day studying
Extremely difficult, unless you want to read the book at least three times before each test, you will struggle on the test, hardest professor ever!!!
Yes she's a hard teacher, but if you really want to learn the subject, take her. She's not a witch, so don't believe any comments that say that. She is a great teacher and you learn quite a bit from her.
Dr. Blaschke is not mean, she just acts tough, but she's very easy to talk to if you go about it professionally. Just go to class, behave, and try your best...her exams are very difficult, but she is very fair with her grading. She hates students that come to class late, so make sure you come to class on time.

She is very demanding and has hard test. Most of the students end up dropping the class. She likes to put students down and has very boring lectures...good luck staying awake and passing her class.
Goodluck if you take her! She is unwilling to help students, or at least thats how i felt, and what I had seen. If you ask a qestion she will defin. make you feel dumb for asking. I love anatomy but I dislike her class.
Dr Blashke is no joke. Yes it's tough, but let me tell you, you'll be ready for the nrs. program. Most of the people who say she is horrible is because they are lazy & don't study or attend class. In her class you get the grade you earn!!!
The class is pretty tough and a lot of people ended up dropping.Petitioners have a really good chance of getting in.Dr Blaschke is a bit intimidating at first, almost unapproachable. After she finds out who is serious and who isn't she gets better.I have a lot of respect for her now.Suck it up and study your butt off and you should be ok.
Yes she is a very hard teacher, but if you conduct yourself professionally and do the work she is very approachable!! The people ranting and raving are those that are not willing to do the work. She can be somewhat intimidating, but only to those who ask stupid questions. She tries to weave out students, so only the fittest survive.
I was going to major in kinesiology, but changed my mind after taking her class. She is mean and makes you feel absolutely stupid for asking about anything. She thinks all of this stuff should be common knowledge, so she doesn't teach you anything, she just throws the book at you. Her tests are pretty hard too.
This professor is impossible! She does not have any patience with students and their questions. She belittles them by saying "Didn't I just say that?" or "I've already told you." MORE THAN 60% of the students who enrolled in her class have dropped this course this past semester.
she is a teacher that prides herself on the amount of students she can get to withdrawal from her class. her teaching methods include making you feel dumb for asking a question and doing everything in a weird, meticulous manner that makes you want to barf just by watching. worst teacher ever.
She likes to use lots of pictures on tests/quizes. Didnt pay attention in class much cuz I felt she was unorganized, but in the end it all ties together. I studied the book more than notes and did good. IMPORTANT: During lab actually try to learn the stuff b/c any of it can be on the lab praticles, all of it. She seems mean at first but gets nicer
I would have to say she is one of the WORST teachers I have ever taken in my life. She is almost aligned with my other math teacher which was also horrible. But, she doesn't give you the time of day to ask a question. She will just tell you, go look it up yourself or you should already know that. Her first test was hard it was 140 questions. She wi
HORRIBLE TEACHER!! Lecture notes DO NOT appear on tests. Read EVERY LETTER in your text. Not organized and never tells you exactly what chaps will be on the tests. Don't bother asking questions, she puts you down. You never know exactly what to study. Lab practical answer sheets are jumbled and cluttered, hard to understand what she wants.
She's pretty difficult. She discourages students instead of motivating or encouraging in a positive way. Also, try not to ask questions and if you do, make your question sound intelligent or she'll make you look like an idiot.
Should a student ask a question in her class, she berates that student in front of the entire class, makes fun of the student, and she never gives a definitive answer to the question that was asked in the first place.
Before class began, a student approached Dr. B in confidence to discuss her personal challenges with the class. Dr. B responded in a very loud and negative voice so that the entire class was able to hear the conversation. Dr. B came off sounding very harsh and cruel to us students witnessing the incident, and the student began to cry.
Dr. Blaschke gloats to our class about the fact that students drop her class in large numbers and bragged to our class that she was glad there would be less papers to grade as she wouldn't have to work as hard. In addition, Dr. Blaschke feels it to be reasonable to return test results up to three weeks after an exam has been given. Three weeks' t
Anatomy 231 is listed in the Fullerton College Class Schedule simply as "General Human Anatomy." According to the Class Schedule, there are no prerequisites required for Anatomy 231, which leads a student to believe that this is an introductory course. However, Dr. Blaschke teaches this class as an advanced level course. It is very difficult to
I have called Dr. Blaschke three times in the past four days and have yet to receive a call back. This is extremely upsetting to me because I have left very detailed messages, i.e., my name, day and time of the class I am enrolled in, what my question was regarding, and my contact information. Typically, in a professional work setting, the courte
Wow she was the WORST prof I have ever had. Don't even think of asking a questing she will just avoid the answer by saying "I have provided you with enough information" and makes you feel very stupid for asking. Lectures are all over the place. Tests questions are very ambiguous and misleading. Takes 3 weeks for your test results... Just AWFUL!!!
I'm in my 4th semester of my nursing program and everyday I thank L. Blashcke. I never worked so hard in a class, prior to her. She really preps you for the medical field. If you can't handle her, then you won't be able to handle a nursing program.
I recommend that you take Biology 101 before you enter her class. Right now I'm taking Bio 272 with her Anatomy 231 class and the only things that are new to me are all of the body structures that she presents in lab. Otherwise her lecture is the exact same material presented as in Bio 101. Yes she is hard, but it is possible to get an A
Dr. Blaschke is the worst teacher I have ever had. She is not interested in helping students learn at all. She treats you like you are in Kindergarten and cares more about her precious microscopes than how well her students understand what she is teaching. She teaches TO the people that already have degrees that take the class.
Never had a professor like this one. She is the worst professor ever! If you are not a genius, don't have a life and only have time to study, 24/7, then go ahead and take her class. If not then prepare yourself for the worst experience in your life. She purposely humiliates you and it seems like she wants you to fail (i'm serious). Just don't take
I took this Prof this sem. and I like others in the class are/were good students and felt that the material was very understandable till we took the first test and everyone lost it. Her tests make make you feel like an idiot and they are beyond confusing!!!!
WOW! how could i be so dumb? with all the previous comments about her...i'm a B A student with a 3.8 GPA...study hard...want to get into nursing program...took her...my life was over after her class..pulled down my GPA...she was hard.mean.evil.helpless. see it to believe it? the only reason why people took her because she was one of 2 anat teachers
Why all the bad comments? It?s a very busy class, you do have to read and keep up with the assignments. There are by far MUCH harder classes that come later for anyone going into nursing,or the medical field in general. She did a good job,and most people that dropped/did poorly in her class probably need to find a new major:)
She was very hard and not encouraging about the field at all. Very dissappointing.
this subject is hard but this professor does not even answer questions you have to help you understand what you are studying. She makes you feel dumb and she times you on the lab tests with a timer. people drop the class like flies. she makes it sound as if her motive is to get as many people to drop as possible.
This professor was super hard, but well worth it!. She will teach you everything you need to know. You have to study every day and saty after class if you want her to help you. She has helped me with all nursing classes while others have failed. Loved this teacher b/c of it! Got a hard earned A in this class
This is NOT an easy subject. So no matter what, be prepared to work your butt off daily. She is not the most warm and friendly initially and tends to make you feel extremely intimidated which is NOT something you want from a teacher. She knows her stuff but I would reconsider taking the course elsewhere other than Fullerton
Avoid if at all possible, poor and outdated teaching methods. Doesn't answer question or responds with complete contempt for not understanding the first time. All exams are based off of lecture material with no study guides. Should have retired a long time ago.
READ- Part 1) I just finished this course and received an A. Here's a heads up on how to be successful. You MUST read each chapter before class. Re-read each chapter 3 times because she picks out specifics from the text. In regards to lab memorize everything from the lab book (every groove, fissure etc) and do not skip lab (2% off your grade for ev
READ PART 2 - (2% off your grade for every class missed) The lectures are useless so its up to you to teach yourself through the reading assignments. Make sure you recognize colors/drawings in lecture because she will have them on the exam. Make sure you do the end of the chapter quizzes and utilize the online website provided by the book, they hav
READ- 2) every class missed) The lectures are useless so its up to you to teach yourself through the reading assignments. Make sure you do the end of the chapter quizzes and utilize the online website provided by the book, they have additional quizzes and self-tests.
Pre-health is hard but you will thank her later. She will either give you the understanding to be successful in an extremely difficult field, or save you the wasted years by making you realize you're not cut out for it. Honestly, if she didn't want you to be a doctor/nurse etc, I don't want you to be mine either. Thank you Dr. Blaschke.
As long as you go to class, take good notes, and do what she tells you to do, you are good to go! It does take time to memorize all the names of skeletal and muscle tissues but totally doable. Everyone complaining about how hard she is probaly shouldn't be in the health field
Best instructor I ever had. She does tell people she's hard but all YOU have to do to pass with flying colors is learn the material. Use to sleeping in classes? You're toast. Want a challenging, exciting class? She's the one!
so i just completed ana 231. I have to say that this class was the hardest class i have ever had at fullerton. all the reviews about Blaschke are not entirely true. yes she is hard, yes she demands a lot out of you, yes she does not like dumb questions. but i have to say that she is a great teacher and you will learn a lot in her class. be prepared
Good instructor but only if you're willing to study. She doesn't suffer fools gladly so before you ask a question *read* your material. If you show her you've really tried to figure it out on your own she'll be happy to help - otherwise you'll hear those special words: "If you've done your reading you'll know that...". I liked her & recommend her.
Dr. Blaschke is a Professor with a doctorate degree teaching a true college level course at a school where it seems most of the students think they can sleep turlough Or ghost their way to an A. She's one of the most intelligent and knowledgeable professors I've ever had. Took her class twice, actually trying the second time.effort and hard work!!
the most difficult class i have ever had. she is the best teacher i have also ever had. you must know everything.. and i mean everything. dr blascke give quality education, she cares about the future doctors and doesnt want stupid people to become them. read, STUDY and you will learn ALOT! REAL COLLEGE LEVEL COURSE! amazing teacher. absolutley.
Dr. Blaschke is not an easy teacher, however, she is very knowledgeable when it comes to anatomy. You cannot be afraid to ask her questions. Just know that she will call you out and look at you like you're stupid, but don't be afraid to ask. My classmates and I took turns approaching her haha. The class started off with 65, by the end, only 26.
This professor is challenging! I was a straight A student at CSUF in Kinesiology and have worked as a PT aide for 3 years and got a B in her class. Its not some much the difficulty but the amount of info in her class that makes it that hard. Each test had close to 100-150 ?'s. She doesn't like stupid ?'s, but it's really funny to watch her get mad
This class is challenging, but it is doable as long as you study everyday. I was working as an LVN part-time and still got an A in the class. DONT PROCRASTINATE! Take good notes, and keep track on your reading these will help you in lecture and exam. This is a real college level course, don't think memorizing will cut it. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND IT!
In addition to my previous comment I would also like to add that SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST ANATOMY TEACHERS I HAVE EVER HAD! She is difficult, but she really cares a lot! All it takes is effort and determination and you will succeed in her class. HOWEVER, if you are a lazy person, then you better change fast! Laziness=Failure, but Determined=Passing.
this was a very hard class but you learn ALOT. There is alot of information and if you do NOT put in the time and effort to do your preparation before exams and lab practicums, your grade will reflect it. She is fair and she is pretty good at making things clear and explaining in an understandable way BUT you MUST do your part by studying before
this is a hard subject but you will learn alot from Dr. Blaschke, she is really nice and helpful especially if you have done your preparation for the lecture, exams, labs, lab practicums. If you want to do well you have to put alot of time and effort in. I ended up with a B in the class and I felt like I was working my butt off after taking bio 170
Human anatomy was a nightmare I was told to change my major and I'm an A student. She doesn't care if your part of DSS she refuses to give you extra time on the practicum. I got lucky and made a big fuss. Horrible run!!! Run!!!
a very intelligent professor if you are intrested i n the medical field she is one of the best
Blaschke is amazing, fair and firm. Staying a head of the game is critical. If you think you can get away with staying on track be prepared for a C or below. I read every chapter assigned 3 times and studied the end of chapter test at the end of each chapter as well as creating study sheets using the diagrams from the book. Got an A in the class.
Prof. Blaschke is one of the best teacher I've ever known. Very disciplined, yet very considerate. Very demanding, yet very clear-cut. She is intelligent and works incredibly hard and effectively. No matter what grade I would get, I respect her to the highest level. An amazing teacher. Put twice or more of your effort for this class even A student.
Hard Class, Must study extensively if you want to pass with a B like i did
This class was very interesting, I learned so much. The textbook was used a lot during class which I liked. Her tests aren't the easiest but if you take good notes and pay attention to the pages she points out during lecture you will do fine. She is really nice and clear with directions. Make sure you spend a good amount of time studying :)
She knows what she is talking about regarding the information pertaining to this class but gets easily frustrated when students don't understand. She also makes very weird comments very discouraging.not a people person. probably shouldn't have gone into teaching but she does know ALOT.
VERY HARD! Her tests make no sense-have no clue where the questions come from. I got a B but worked so hard for it. She gives extra credit which helped raise my grade from a C to B. She hates to answer questions, teaches like it's 1850, tests are 150+ questions, lab practicums are hard, too. AVOID! She is a nice person and I loved the content, tho
This lady has NO business teaching!Yeah she is very knowledgeable on the subject, but i would hope so considering she is a DOCTOR! This lady is rude and inconsiderate. I seriously felt so belittled every time i would ask a question. Her exams NEVER matched the material she taught. Save your money and DO NOT take her class!
Nice person and very knowledgeable on the subject. Teaching methods could greatly improve. Very hard tests. You can study as much as you can but the way she teaches leaves a lot in the air. Not that hands on until dissection. Books used a lot, attendance a must.
Content is definitely difficult. Exams are over 100 questions and practicums can come from anything in lab (Lots of self teaching in lab). USE YOUR BOOK! Personally, I studied sections she told us not to study, and guess what it showed up on the exam! My advice is to just study everything, even though she says not to study it! Not an easy course!
Yes, she's tough, but it is a tough subject. She might seem mean and slightly judgmental, but shes got years of experience to know which kinds of students are going to make it in the medical field. If you take her class and find it difficult and unfair, then its a good indicator that maybe its time for a different path.
Subject isnt easy. She is tough & exams are hard but she is reasonable. I kept getting C's & D's on exams and practicums. I thought i wouldnt even make it. But I did as much extra credit as possible and went to as many extra lab hours as i could (she takes note& gives e.c for it) and got a B. I WORKED my butt off even w 3 other classes.
Hard class, yet she helps those who try hard and want to learn. Plus, she gives much extra credit and goes over everything that's going to be on test. Lectures can be boring sometimes, but my advice is write everything on a notepad because sometimes she just freestyles and goes off topic. She's always there to help and even gives optional Sundaylab
No clarity whatsoever. Lectures are long & dragged. Goes off topic too much. Definitely record the lectures! Lab practicums are ridiculous & not enough time. If you're bad under pressure you will fail. Lecture exams: notes DONT suffice, read the chapters multiple times & memorize it. Also 12 of the class dropped. Almost impossible to earn an A.
Read all reviews on ratemyprofessors & heard from past students how terrible the class was & thought that I could get through the class as long as I worked really hard & stayed on top of things. Oh, no. She goes off topic way too much, lecture exams have nothing to do with the lectures, and lab practicums are not reasonable. Don't take this class.
Numerous times in the class she would belittle students. She would talk negatively about "today's generation" and how disrespectfulcareless we ALL are. Negative attitude over all. Very long lecture exams. Opportunity for E.C probably because so much material. Doesn't give study guides or notes-you need to be there. Never uses computer..
Do yourself a favor, stay away from her. Yes, she is very knowledgeable and organized, but horrible at teaching. No powerpoint lectures. So you really have to pay attention! Her exams are about 150+ questions and it's HARD! More than half dropped the class. She yells at her students if they're late or don't know how to follow directions. Just FYI.
This class is hard! She is highly knowledgable and old but doesn't know how to teach based on one subject. She keeps going off topic. She got mad during class once and told a student she should change her major after the first exam. Read!!!!!!
She is really tough, but after now taking physio I wish that I gave her more of a chance by recording the lectures and taking the time to listen to them. She did have an insane amount of reading to do which is a lot of studying at that point. Go to her optional Sundays. It's very possible to pass.
Gives only the basics in lecture. Tests composed of LOTS more. Read before lecture and read AGAIN after lecture. Go to any optional Sunday you can (EC). Got C's on all exams and got a B in the class. Hardest class I've ever had. Her lectures are VERY confusing, the class is basically self taught. read Read READ
Class is 4 units but covers 5-6 units of info. 2nd time with her. She's never absent. How I got an A: Recorded lectures, listened to them twice; drew big diagrams; typed up lectures & reviewed 3 times before test; good lab partners. Lots of extra credit lab time pushed me up to an A. Tests are 150 Qs, quizzes are 75 Qs, covers everything.
Incredibly tough material and she doesn't do much to help you understand it any better. Very blunt and sometimes rude, but not if you're on her good side. Encouraged many students to drop, only 8 people remained by the end of the semester. Tests are pretty much 100% of your grade.
This professor is one of the best I've ever had. I absolutely loved her lectures and her content. She is not the right professor for anyone that is not willing to put in loads of hours for self studying and reviewing. Do not take this professor if you are a lazy student, a student that complains, or weak of heart and mind. I loved this professor.
rather than critizicing blaschke or anatomy as a course i am going to tell you guys about the class. There is 3 lecture exams 120 questions in aprox 1 hour and 45 minutes each . there are 2 practicums with aprox 45 seconds at each station. 3 quizzes that equal one test score and finally a group dissection project. Everything requires studying !
Really difficult class. I felt that it was more difficult than necessary but i do feel that i learned a lot from this class. There is a group project at the end and be sure to choose a group that you work well with otherwise you will go crazy. Reading is also majorly important. I didn't read and every time it came to the test i wish i had.
VERY DIFFICULT
Difficult. She goes off topic a lot and her tests have a lot of questions that have nothing to do with what we learned. Many students dropped closer to the end of the semester. I also spoke to other students who had to retake her class and are doing much better this semester because they know what to expect...
keep good notes in class, attend all lectures and extra SI, definitely need to be mentally and physically prepared to put in the hours for this class. If you're not serious about your studies or the career you want to go into I don't suggest this professor for you. It definitely requires commitment beyond that typically given to general courses.
Honestly, all you have to do in this class is to read the chapters before class and listen to instructions. She gives a handout detailing most of the topics you need to know for the practicums. Pay attention to what she says. If you want an A, basically treat it like a class. If you expect an A without work, don't take the class.
A&P w/lab from Dr. Blaschke was THE best class I took during college (I finished a BA at CSUF). Of course it was hard! It was A&P with a lab! She imparted to me a tremendous amount of knowledge that stuck with me far beyond the final test and into which I've tapped throughout my career and personal life.
She's a very good teacher that loves her subject. If you go in with the same passion and willingness to learn, you can easily get an A. Usually gives a chance for extra credit on everything she grades. If you put in the work you will learn a lot.
If all the other anatomy classes are full then take this one, otherwise don't do it! Start preparing yourself from day 1. She will make you re-think your whole major and not in a good way. Clear your schedule for this class because you will need it in order to barely make a C.
Do not take this class unless you have experience in science like microbiology, etc. She isn't very clear with certain topics. Also, her tests are so crazy. A multiple choice part with several answers to it and if you get one part wrong the whole section is wrong.
Dr. Blaschke is a highly underrated professor she's extremely credible, and highly informative to this day I like to take some of the knowledge she taught me and apply it to my everyday life. She instilled within me a very broad and detailed instruction of the fundamental knowledge I need within a scientific career. Her teaching plan is exceptional
Shes alright. Youll definitely have to teach yourself in this class. She is so boring. She will put you to sleep. Make sure you read or youll definitely fail her exams.
2 practicums, 3 lecture exams, 1 dissection & 3 quizzed put together as one grade. You gotta read and study hard or youre screwed. No ppts, but if you take good notes youll be fine. HAS NO EMAIL!!! Shes boring like a lot of other science professors, but you learn a lot. Its anatomy, dont expect an easy A.
I am a 4.0 student. I studied so hard for this class and attended every single Extra Sunday. Her test are unreasonable for a general anatomy class. A midterm is 150questions, with assorted multiple choice, fill in the blank, matching and essays. I needed an A for nursing school so i dropped her class middle of semester. Not sure how others survived
class consists of 3 lecture exams, 2 practicums, 3 quizzes combined along with a group dissection project at the end of the semester. You have to put in the work! I recorded her lectures and listened to them constantly. You need to read and attend Sunday for extra credit. Its doable, be prepared to commit the hours to studying the material.
Great experience taking anatomy with Dr. Blaschke. She is passionate about the subject material and it shows. It's an easy class but you have to be interested. All these people posting poor reviews are slackers and aren't taking responsibility for their failure. If you are mature and put the effort in, this class will be an easy A+!
Dr. Blaschke is one of the few professors that made me develop an understanding for the material instead of just memorizing bits of information for exams. Take her class if you're willing to learn, don't take her class if you don't want to put in effort.
Dr. Blaschke is a very intense & passionate but also kind hearted. Her class requires an intense amount of effort. MOST people (more than 1/2 of the class) will end up dropping. She is very generous with grading, she makes the C range 60-79%. lab & lecture are COMPLETELY SEPERATE in the first 2 units. READ A LOT, PAY ATTN, STUDY!!!
Took anatomy with professor Blaschke, and from experience all I can say is STAY AWAY if you want a nice and caring professor dont waste your semester. She is extremely hard and deducts points for mispelling one letter on lab exams! Decided to drop her class a month before the semester ended and took it somewhere else where I got an A.
For credibility reason: I've been working as Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for 11 years and taking this class as a PREREQ FOR PA SCHOOL. She's seriously the most practical teacher ever. She will prepare you for the real world in health care. You will succeed if you READ YOUR BOOK and COME TO CLASS. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER. BEST TEACHER EVER!
You are graded on 3 lecture exams, 2 Lab assessments (practicums) one dissection project, 3 quizzes, and extra credit, which includes the first quiz.
Oh man, this was probably the hardest class I've ever taken, she doesn't provide any notes and it's really up to you to take your own notes from her oral lectures. She doesn't provide any information about the test so it's really up to you to learn all the material. I managed to barely pass the class and it's all thanks to the people in my lab.
