If it's a once a week class with her, think twice about taking her. She's very understandable, positive, and nice, but she usually lectures for the whole class time. Do not use your phone and do not sleep in class. Do not procrastinate on the 6-page essay. Do not be absent. Memorize the 30 terms for the midterm&final. It's manageable.

Professor Lily is truly one of kind! As a single parent with two jobs, I appreciated how organized the course was and how I could watch the lectures on my own time. She made history interesting, even for someone who doesn't love it. The weekend breaks were a lifesaver. Highly recommend her class!

Take this Professor! Mrs. Hajialiakbar was an amazing professor, about 3 assignment a week, all which were very little time consuming! All you have to do is watch the lectures she posts each week in order to know what to do for HW and just take notes for the tests. Two short essays, and textbook is provided but is not even necessary.

Homework is easy as long as you listen to her lectures. There are short responses due every Friday along with homework—also easy. She truly cares about her students success, take her!

Best history class ever! Canvas is structured very well. One assignment and one short writing response every week due on Fridays. No extra credit or extensions but class is easy enough to get an A. You need to watch her lectures to get homework instructions.

Work for 16-week course is light: 1 video lecture, a 500-word reflection, & 1 mini assignment per week. Follow her reflection rubric exactly or she'll deduct points. Class is easy & fun since she mixes humor w/ witty vocab. She gives clear exam prep videos. 1 midterm, 1 final with MC & u write 8–12 term definitions. No extra credit but easy A imo

I took her 8 week online course at AVC and she is clear with her lectures. 3 exams are worth 20% each and assignments are worth 40%. 5 are worth 100pts, 2 are 300pts, 1 is 750pts. DO NOT MISS the 750 one as this was the only assignment I did not complete and I got a mid B :( Exams are easy, textbook is used but to be real I did not even use it

Assignments are due every Friday, and she posts a clear outline of assignments and videos to watch on Monday. Each week is just a video lecture, a short response (around 500 words) and a mini-assignment. Posts useful prep for midterm and finals a week ahead. Has a clear rubric, so be sure to follow.

at first i was not excited for this class, but im grateful for the amount of work she gave. we had a discussion and 500 word short response every week. honestly, it was okay work wise but the short response makes you actually learn. despite all the work, shes nice, caring and helpful. take her if you dont mind learning about us history.

She uses AI for everything. To grade, to respond to you, I'm sure her lectures were AI generated scripts as well. Even these reviews look like slop I guess it works though. Her grading is ridiculous as she gives high value to assignments instead of the exams. Exams prove I know the material not some dumb homework. Easy class just monotonous vibes

I enrolled in this online asynchronous class and got an A. She is clear on what she needs and is passionate about the topic. History has always been my worst subject, but her class was fun. The assignments were straightforward. Highly recommend her, especially if you're like me and don't exactly love history as subject.
