Awesome !!!
puts effort to teachings
Great Professor! Very knowledgeable and understanding. His exams are difficult and does not align with lecture or textbook. The course is challenging, but he gives many extra credit opportunities. Hes fair in his grading, but too much hw assignments. You barely have time for studying with all the busy work. But its doable.
Do not take this course in the summer! Its way too much information in such a short amount of time. You are required to know everything inside and out! Its ridiculously hard. Do yourself a favor and take it during the fall or spring unless you can devote your entire summer life to this class.
COOLEST and THE BEST lab instructor. He was SUPER chill, quizzes were SUPER easy, and he allowed us to quickly get through labs and leave early. Very approachable and understanding. He made lab so fun and non stressful.
While he is a good professor I felt like he assigned way too much hw to do. Every week there's a chapter reading quiz, lecture quiz, lab quiz, and write a discussion and respond to two other students. He does give out some extra credit which is nice.
I have taken this class in the summer course. I do not recommend to do this class in the summer. There is too much information to learn in a really short time.
Professor Lin was pretty awesome. Given that this course was over 6 weeks in summer, it wasnt expected to be easy. Besides that, professor Lin was the first Bio professor to actually make learning fun.
Professor Lin did the best he could teaching a 6 week summer anatomy class online. If I had questions/concerns, he quickly responded. The exams are difficult, so studying the material daily is important. His grading scale is out of overall points, so the more points you have, the better your grade will be
Professor Lins most memorable line, #thegrindneverstopsand let me tell you it will not stop for this class, especially in the summer. Hes very understanding and probably my most favorite for science instructors but dont expect to pass the class w/o putting in some work, the grade you receive is entirely dependent on your devotion to the class.
Professor Lin did the best that he couldnt keep in mind it was only a 6 week class and you have to put in the work in order to get the grade you want which means it does not come easy. Do not take Biol 67a if you want a relaxing summer because this class will keep you in your feet ! Overall I liked professor Lin
Professor Lin is a very good teacher and is passionate about what he does. He is motivational and very understanding person. Anatomy is a hard class and he makes it enjoyable. If you put in the hard work, an A is definitely achievable.
Professor Lin was an awesome teacher! He is enthusiastic, encourages his students, and is overall a cool person. I would definitely take his class again, although his summer class is very rigorous in terms of material. But with a lot of studying and dedication this class is doable and rewarding in the end!
I take professor Joseph Lin during summer at Fresno State and it was really hard. But Lin was a really great guy. He try his best to help you but over all you have to work hard and study hard to be able to pass the class. It was a lot of works to do. A lots of reading so if you don't take this class seriously then it would be hard.
Great teacher that makes a lot of things available to his students including pictures of models for anatomy, separate youtube lectures (which do an amazing job of explaining concepts), and is easily reachable on discord. He makes a hard class manageable. You need to study outside of the lectures to pass this class.
Professor Lin is a cool guy who is very responsive to students. He takes time to meet with us whenever we have any questions. However, I took the class over summer and it was difficult because of the amount of information that was given in a short period of time. There are several quizzes and exams that require a lot of memorization.
Professor Lin is a great professor for this course. He is very flexible especially since this class was online. This class was taken over the summer making a one-semester class into a 6-week course, increasing the difficulty and workload at one time. But overall, Lin was a great Professor that knew the topics well and was great with communication!
Professor Lin is a great person, but he gives us a lot of homework in a short amount of time. I struggled a lot on the tests, and they require a LOT of studying & memorizing. My advice for you is: Dont take this class over the summer, unless youre willing to dedicate ALL your time and effort in a dense summer course like this.
I took the online summer course,I would not recommend taking this class online. Its hard enough to learn anatomy and physiology in its own, and the online barrier made it tougher. I prefer hands on learning but that wasnt accessible due to our circumstances. Prof Lin did good teaching us,but sometimes he would blame us for uncontrollable things.
I took this class over the summer, fully online. Anatomy and Phys will probably be the hardest class you will ever take, but Professor Lin was excellent at teaching it. Although there is a ton of homework, you have to keep in mind this is a summer course! Lin, is flexible with assignments, and truly wants you to pass. "The grind never stops!"
Took this class during the summer online. It was difficult since lab was also virtual. There were many assignments that I personally thought were unnecessary. I was constantly on my laptop doing these assignments leaving no time to even study since I also have other happenings in life outside of school. Lin was clear on instructions; Helpful!
Professor Lin, wants his students to do well. I took this class over the summer a 6 week course it has been a very difficult class however if you work for it and put in the time you will get the grade that you want. I definitely recommend taking this class during fall/spring semester as this course is fast paced. There is a lot of material covered.
Very flexible and understanding!
Human Anatomy and physiology is a class you got to put time and effort in to it. Professor Lin is always accessible and very understanding when it comes to assignment. Solid professor overall.
Anatomy and physiology is a very difficult course that is heavy on reading. Be prepared to know your content inside and out before tests. A good suggestion would be to review content multiple times before tests.
Great professor but the class itself was hard. Keep in mind that this is a summer class, so expect it to be fast-paced. There will be lots of homework & reading, so dont procrastinate. If you wanna do well, then you must devote all your time in this class otherwise youll fail.
Studying goes a long way in this class! Be prepared.
If you take this class be ready to be only about this class.
Do the homework and study a lot and you will be okay.
Professor Lin cares about his students. He is very flexible and understanding. Quizzes every week and labs were virtual so it was easy. Only two writing assignments, also easy. Good luck!
Professor Lin is super chill and really cares for his students. Zoom sessions were only about 30 minutes to an hour max. The labs were through a virtual online platform and as long as you completed them on time, you get full credit. As long as you show up and complete the work, it is a very easy A!
Professor Lin is a really good teacher and is always really clear with the work he expects from us.
Professor Lin is a great professor. He is very understanding about needing to push assignments back. Tests are hard, but he gives plenty of extra credit.
Overall really great Professor! Gives lots of extra credit opportunities and extensions if needed. Great job at lecturing, keeps you interested and engaged.
Lin is one of the nicest and understanding professors I have ever had. He wants you to succeed and will extend any homework or test on request. There is no text book just connect.
Great and understanding professor!
This class was very straight forward. The exams are difficult but if you read and do the homework you will pass.
Really easy class and chill professor. The homework is time consuming and make sure to study for the tests, they are worth a lot of points. Overall an easy class and many opportunities of extra credit.
Professor Lin is one of the best and understanding professor I ever had. He will respond very fat to any questions you have.
The test are a bit hard sometimes and also there is a time limit when testing. But other than that the professor is really understanding and gives you extensions on assignment when needed.
The only thing I would say I didn't appreciate about the course was that the exams were challenging. Instead of taking an exam before moving on to new material, we would jump into new material and take an exam on past material while we were learning new stuff. I didn't like this because the material wasn't fresh, but that's about it.
He really takes time with each student and answers questions to the fullest. Would take again.
He was a great professor. He lectures in every class and participation matters. There are many way to contact him and he responds in a timely matter. Understanding and gives extensions if needed. Tests are a little difficult and are timed. Assignments are easy and don't take long.
Layed back Professor and can accommodate to certain circumstances,
The class is very demanding, he is willing to help tho. He responds to emails quickly, will allow for extensions. His lectures were interesting and related to current events. Over all a good professor, would recommend.
Make sure you take full advantage of taking notes and do not procrastinate on any assignment or test. Take notes and study them!
Professor Lin has made learning biology easy to understand. Remember to study plenty for the tests and do not procrasinate on assignments!
would recommend, not to much homework usually two assignments every week!
great professor! super friendly and thoughtful
you have to do a lot of work if not a bio major
Very nice professor.
Great Professor! Super understanding and helpful wanted us to succeed not fail.
That he is actually there for the students and not for a pay check and he understands what it is ti be a student
Overall I enjoyed taking his course he is very understanding and always provides a lot of extra credit. He understands very well, recommend taking him!!
Professor Lin was great, his lectures were just a little confusing for me. I would suggest reading more of the SB to get more in depth. I took this over a 6-week course during the summer so that could be why I had trouble understanding.
It's a difficult course, I do not recommend summer session unless you can commit. Professor Lin is super understanding with extensions. There is no rounding and some extra credit is offered. Overall, study hard and reach out to him if you have questions. Super easy to contact and all class material in online.
Overall do the homework. The professor is just unclear with lectures, just reads off slides. No study guides and just now the context well.
6 week (lecture) summer school Online course was quite challenging, but doable with time management. Prof. Lin records his lectures and uploads them for students to re-watch and understand the materials. Exams are based upon the course material readings, IRAT,SB TopHat. Should be more manageable during regular semester.
I taken Professor Lin Biology 67A in the summer. Lecture is not so hot, but he is willing to help students in the course. Recommend students to do homework, IRAT and reading assignment.
Summer course was one of the hardest things ever The most studying you will do.Lin believes life is unfair so he does not take your recommendations into consideration even tho he looks like he's listening. Will not round up 1% for the life of him. He is understanding with extensions and is always active on discord. Very smart but not with lecture.
I expected the challenges that were thrown ahead of me. However, Professor Lin made it easy for me to go along with. It does not just require you to understand from his live lectures. You have to put in your own effort to succeed in this course. So expect a lot of independence, but feel free to interact with Professor Lin as it is encouraged.
Professor Lin was interested in his teachings and was accommodating to his student's needs. The class was taken over the summer so it was no easy feat to do well. Always, and I mean ALWAYS read the material to refresh everything you learn because they're not easy to understand immediately. Professor Lin also liked to answer our questions.
Professor Lin is a very fun professor who really cares about the students and will provide accommodations if necessary. He believes that hard work is what builds character, not just a grade boosted by extra credit, so be ready to put in the work and adjust accordingly for a tough but rewarding experience.
Professor Lin was very helpful with questions from students. The course is relatively challenging since it is a high at stake course but Lin taught it in a way where it was easier to understand. Definitely keep up with homework because those little points will hurt you in the end (super easy homework, just have to read).
You have to go to every lecture for participation points and there is a lot of content you have to pay attention to that can be on exams. Very open to extensions if needed, and always available outside of class as well. You have to read the book and study a lot outside of class. This class is hard in the summer so take it if you really need to.
Tough would be an understatement. As a professor, his teaching style is different in the way that it seems like he likes the lab side of this course while giving the lecture portion. Gets confusing and makes it a bit harder to learn the units. Self teaching is a must since there is a lot and a lot of mixing.
Professor Lin was very good at making himself available outside of class, he uses discord as a way to communicate. This class is not an easy class, it is a lot of material and memorization. He makes it known that you can use him as a resource. Study, study, study for these exams, especially if you're taking 67B.
He is the type of professor that believes that the grade you work for is the one you deserved. He provides extra credit but does not curve or round up your grade.
Professor Lin was a great professor who was very knowledgeable in what he lectured. That being said, do not be shy to ask him questions if you need clarifications. Physiology has extremely complex subjects and this is not the class to be shy in !! Lectures move by SUPER fast so I advise you to take lots of notes !!
Professor Lin is a super knowledgeable professor. That being said, do not be shy to ask him questions. Clarification will be needed in this course, as it is a tough subject. Lectures zoom by quickly, so make sure you are taking good notes for studying !!
AN A IS POSSIBLE IN THE SUMMER! I recommend being a 3.8+ GPA student and having nothing planned for the six weeks while you take this course before considering this class because A&P is hyper-intensive. You must read the textbook to do well in this class and watch the recorded lectures for clarification. Prof Lin is very accessible through Discord.
Professor Lin is very easy-going. He gives lectures in zoom and then you get til Sunday to do your homework. I hate the midterms and quizzes though because they are kind of hard.
What an inspirational great guy. He elevated my misery for BIOL10. He cares about the students, he checks up on everyone and is also on track. The 2 writing assignments were fine to do and you learn more things from it than before. Peer reviews are fun. Weekly quizzes, no final.
Lin is a great professor who knows a lot about every subject (anime, entertainment, sports, gaming) and he is an amazing professor to talk to. He explains his topics well and makes it easier for you to complete your lab. He is by far one of my favorite professors. #Last 10
He is genuine, easy to speak to, and shares his knowledge.
Syllabus is straightforward, exams are monitored, study the material.
Great professor
good teacher
I took this online course during the summer so I knew it would be assignment heavy, which there was definitely quite a bit to complete with a 6 week summer session, but he utilizes McGraw-Hill which makes it pretty easy and easy to track assignments. You get the full credit for the assignments just by doing the work.
Professor Joseph Lin demonstrates exceptional teaching prowess with a clear and engaging style. His ability to simplify complex concepts ensures comprehensive understanding among students. He adeptly combines theory with practical examples, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
I took this class in the summer and I really liked it. Yes there was a lot of work but it also was a 6 week course so it wasn't too bad. The work was overall pretty easy. Professor Lin had everything organized very well. I really liked how easy it was to do the assignment and clear when and what was do. 10/10 recommend.
Professor Lin really sets up this course for success, he is very responsive which makes it a lot easier for students an online course. You can obtain an A in the course if you really set time aside for the homework, quizzes and exam. Really appreciate how understanding he is, he will do his best to help you succeed in this course. 10/10 recommend.
He is very nice and caring
He is very understanding and will try his best to help you out in any way, he is a great professor !
Was very understanding
He is a awesome teacher
Very great professor. Class was pretty straight forward and simple. Just do your work and study.
Mr. Lin was a great professor, I took his BIO 5 class during the summer and let me just say it was far from easy since it is Biology, but his lectures and notes really helped me succeed in his class. One thing I can say is do not procrastinate. This class definitely takes time and dedication, but definitely do able.
